The black woman wears a pink flannel over a red shirt and jean shorts and red sneakers.
2, against the pan flag: a thin black man in a wheelchair with hot pink accents, his clothes in the corresponding purple and blue of the bi flag. Beside him walks a thin black woman in a white dress holding a rainbow umbrella.
3, against the gay man flag: two South Asian men in salwar kameez stand holding hands with their foreheads touching. The one on the left is wearing trans colors.
4, against the lesbian flag: a chubby South Asian woman with long dark hair and glasses sits embracing a petite East Asian woman with short hair. Together their outfits comprise the colors of the flag.
5, against the polyamorous flag: a chubby freckled Latina woman with long wavy hair and a skinny white person with a shaved head, tattoos, and a prosthetic leg stand embracing a hijabi woman between them. The two on the outside have outfits with the colors of the aroace flag, while the hijabi woman wears aromantic colors.
6, against the nonbinary flag: a fat white person with a grey beard and ponytail, using a forearm crutch, and a mid-size black man with long greying hair who is gently touching his partner's face. The black man wears ace colors, while the white person wears nonbinary ones. /end ID]

Judging Aunties
Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse
Hobie Brown X South Asian!F!Reader
Synopsis: you just wanted to enjoy a nice family gathering with your boyfriend but of course your very rude and judgy aunties had to say something because why would they ever let you be happy? Luckily for you, Hobie loved you too much to let them get in the way. (In other words, Hobie being such a comforting and supportive boyfriend.)
Warnings: minor panic attack (I think?) and there will be depictions of racism in this fic as I can't lie to you, lots of South Asian aunties are very judgy when you bring someone that isn't South Asian to a family meet. I do not condone it, nor do I excuse it. This fic is here to condemn it.
Note: I encourage you to read this even if you aren't South Asian as I'd love to share the experiences of south asians to those of you that don't know much. One of the huge, glaring issues is how judging older aunties can be if you decide to date a guy that isn't brown as well and I wanted to write this fic to highlight that issue. Of course, there are many delights about being south asian too but this fic is focusing on one issue. And dw, Hobie tells them to suck it. (Also, the reader is bengali specifically in this.)
The eyes. You could feel them, boring straight into your back—sending whatever voodoo evil-eye shit they could your way.
And all for what? 'Cause you had a boyfriend that looked different to them? Spoke differently and had different mannerisms? So fucking what? He loved you and you loved him, wasn't that enough?
"Ayo," you heard his voice faintly, and you felt guilty when you couldn't help but pay more attention to their gazes on you, "I'm gonna go grab us some'in to eat, yeah?"
You nodded but your eyes stayed cloudy, barely focusing on if he had left yet or not. Though, judging by the muttering voices that grew louder—he was gone and the aunties were approaching.
"Y/N, beti, was that your new... boyfriend?"
Ugh, her voice sounded like nails against a chalkboard to your ears. And—somehow—she made the usually nice-sounding accent that coated her tongue, seem god-awful.
"Yeah, what of it?" You crossed your arms, narrowing your eyes in her direction.
"Nothing... just... did it not work out with Rohan? I thought that boy was quite nice."
Here we go.
"No, fufu, Rohan didn't work out."
"That's a shame. He's training to be a doctor, you know—"
Is that so? I didn't know that after the hundreds of times you already told me, auntie.
"—a perfect marriage candidate."
"Mhm, good for him." You dismissed her with a light wave of your hand, barely managing to keep yourself from sinking your nails into her flesh right then and there.
Though, even your restrained actions were enough to cause her to narrow her own eyes at you. "Does your bhai know you're with... him?"
"He's the first person I told."
"He's the first person you told?"—and so the judging continues—"tor maa baaf khene khoysona foila?" ("why didn't you tell your mum and dad first?")
Your eye twitched. "They were also among the first I told."
"And they approved?"
The lion, the witch, and the audacity of this bitch.
"Why wouldn't they approve?"
"Well, you know—"
"There a problem, ladies?" Lo and behold, the person of interest had made his way back over to you, a plate of your mother's freshly baked samosas in one hand, his other hand resting by his side.
You lit up at his appearance, practically gliding over to him as your salwar kameez jingled with every step you took, emphasising your joy further as your arms looped around his neck and you rested your head against his chest.
His steady heartbeat was always comforting to listen to; always calmed your nerves.
"I can't lie, love, you're looking sweet in dat dress styll."
You giggled, feeling yourself turn into putty from just his one compliment. Even just his presence was enough to melt your bones and render you into an immovable pond of gooey mush, eyes practically turning into hearts as you endlessly swooned.
"And you are...?"
But, of course, all good things must come to an end.
"My name's Hobie, Hobie Brown." He held his hand out to her and when she merely looked at it with narrowed eyes, you could feel your grip tighten around his neck.
"Listen, my niece is very gentle—"
"Gen'le?" He interrupted her, incredulous. "This one? Are you mad?"
"Hobie!" You whined but buried your head into his chest to hide the growing smile on your lips that would give away your true feelings.
"What? It's a compliment, you're a mad ting, you know? Enough to make a big man stumble."
Another sickening, little school-girl giggle left your mouth and you could already envision your aunties scrunching their noses up in distaste at the blatant display of affection but—honestly?—you didn't give a fuck. You were in Hobie's arms and that was all that mattered.
"What is with all your... piercings? Are you in a gang?"
Okay, what did she just say?
You were fully ready to just snap at her but Hobie beat you to speaking first. "Nah, I don't do that gang shit."
"Fufu, I think you need to leave." You turned your head her way, grip tightening even further as your brows caved in tenfold; red, hot rage flowing through your veins.
You were about to pull away—give her a piece of your mind and forcefully make her leave—but, Hobie looped an arm around your waist and prevented you from creating any distance with him.
When you looked up to address him, however, you noticed how he wasn't looking at you—instead, he was staring right at your auntie, lips shaped into a straight line. "Just say you don't like me da'ing her 'cause I'm black, yeah?"
Woah.
Your auntie gritted her teeth, nostrils flaring as she fiercely huffed, raising one pointer finger his way in her rage as she parted her lips, ready to let out another one of her long, bitchy speeches.
But Hobie wasn't having it, and so, shut her right up when he turned his head back your way, tilting your chin and meeting your lips in a sudden—and extremely passionate—kiss.
Your eyes stayed open long enough for you to catch a glimpse of him raising his middle finger up and sending it right her way before you smirked and melted straight into him.
Despite the kiss being done to prove a point, it still didn't feel any less magical as every other kiss with him. Hobie was the only one who could ever make you feel this way—and you adored him for it, regardless of what some stuck-up auntie had to say.
When he finally pulled away (much to your dismay), he turned back over to your auntie, who stood there with her mouth hung open, and said, "do me a favour, yeah? Fuck off."
And soon, you were tugged off, away from the multiple pairs of eyes that belonged to all your other relatives in the room and towards another empty one instead.
Though, as Hobie led you over to the couch, you couldn't help but feel a wave of a certain strong emotion you felt when you brought your last non-brown lover over to a family gathering; a wave so strong, you had to voice it.
"I get it."
"Huh?"
"If you don't wanna be with me anymore—I get it. My aunties are really overbearing and South Asian culture is really, really unwelcome to other races so I—" a lump formed in your throat and you could barely finish uttering your sentence, unable to push past the stupid thing.
"Woah, woah, woah, what are you on about, love?" Hobie's voice sounded concerned but he was probably just trying to be sweet, he would leave you just like your past lover did—and all because of a dumb family gathering. God, how could you be so stupid? You shouldn't have taken him in the first place.
"It's just—" you choked up, vision blurring as your heart constricted and it got harder and harder to breathe.
"Woah, look at me, love. Look at me." His hands placed themselves on your shoulders as he levelled with you, making your nerves relax a little just by the sight of his face. "Breathe with me."
You followed the movement of his chest, breathing in rhythm with him until your vision cleared up and your words finally found you again.
"It's just that— my last boyfriend left me because of my aunties and— and— I don't want you to leave me too."
Please don't leave, I love you too much, Hobie.
"I would never leave you 'cause of some jarring prick that's part of your family. Ever."
You blinked. "Really? Not even 'cause I'm Desi?"
"What are you chatting 'bout? My guy Pav is Indian, you don't see me not bein' 'is mate 'cause of that."
He made a good point.
"Look, yeah, Y/N? I love you. No ma'er what. Never forget that."
And it was at that moment where you, Y/N L/N, found yourself falling in love with Hobie Brown all over again.
"I love you too, Hobie."

people over on tweeter dot hell are arguing about whether anthy is desi and i am suffering as a desi utena fan. i ain't posting any of the screenshots here but some highlights from this entire discourse are:
-"anthy isn't brown, she's asian. no no no i know india is in asia i meant EAST asian"
-"anthy isn't indian, her being brown is a visual metaphor."
-"what are you talking about, anthy IS indian, look at this picture where she's wearing HINDU clothes *shows a picture of anthy wearing what every indian of every religion wears*"
everyone denying she's indian are stupid for obvious reasons but the "hindu clothes" bit pissed me off the most. because once again, its reducing an entire country to one religion and playing right into the s@nghi rhetoric that india is a hindu rashtra. like i'm actually begging you people to realize that indian muslims, christians, sikhs, buddhists, atheists, jewish indians etc exist and they also wear saris, lehengas, salwar kameez, etc.

Hell yeah I'm back, crushed my exams, now I have more time to think about everyone's favorite loser elf 💜💜
Your post a couple days back about posting homemade porn to the xhuman forum really got me thinking
What if one day you showed up at your loser elf's house in traditional elvish clothing?
You shrug and casually mention that you bought it at a market the other day because it reminded you of him, but he's only barely registering your words.
His eyes rake over your body from head to toe and then back up again, staring unashamed at how the light, airy fabric dances around your arms and legs. He can't stop staring at how perfectly the garment hugs your body, and since humans are more supple and rounded than elves, the fabric bunches up just so on your hips, accentuating your curves and making heat rise to his face, the tips of his ears going red as you notice the visible tent in his pants.
You smile devilishly at him as you lead him towards his bed, all the while he's thinking about how the organic fabrics you're wearing would be very delicate and so easy to tear through.
You're fully aware of what seeing you in his traditional clothing would do to him, so of course you prepared accordingly. He's in for a lucky surprise when he finally gets your overclothes off to find that you picked up some elvish-inspired lingerie at the market as well.
(somewhat inspired by my realization while dressing up to go to an Indian holiday party, when I noticed that a salwar kameez and dupatta kinda reminded me of what I'd imagine elvish clothing to look like)
Good job on finishing your exams, please make sure to rest.
I really like the idea of human reader trying to learn more about elf culture for their cute loser high elf
And yes, I imagine elvish clothes to be inspired by South Asian, Middle Eastern, and anciest Greek clothes.
Instead of reader buying it randomly, what if you've put research into it? Read about elf culture and found the perfect attire to wear.
Maybe it's something only newly wedded spouces wear for each other, or maybe it is a honeymoon phase kind of outfit. Elvish clothes are airy by nature, but this one you've found is more head-turning than the rest.
Almost like it was made out of large flower petals that hug your body just right with their vibrant colours. Wrapping your hips with two petals that conjoin in the middle, their pointy tips barely covering the insides of your thighs. Each petal trailing up your body and leaving small windows of bare flesh, the outfit is on the shorter side with no shoulders or neck, just going from your hips to your chest in a colourful chain of petals.
Or maybe a translucent outfit that shimmers and brims with life magic, a dark hue that matches the night sky. Various stars in shapes and sizes swimming on the print and gently swaying from place to place with every step you take. Your skin and curves are extremely visible underneath it. It's made out of one large and very long cloth that you have to wrap around yourself to from multiple layers and give it a shape. The material is so thin that the outfit never gets thicker than human clothes no matter how many you layer.
Or it's a long pure white silk with gold leaves trim, much like an outfit a greek god would wear. The silk is akin to a second skin as even the shape of your bare stomach is visible from underneath it. There's an almost invisible pattern wooven into the silk with the occasional glimmering sparks.
Whichever it was, one thing was clear when your outfit finally arrived. It's that this was never made for a human like body.
It's your size but longer than usual, it's too tight in certain places. You can't even wear anything underneath it because it wouldn't fit then. The shape of your chest is fully on display, the way the supposed airy outfit completely hugs your figure like a glove.
Your hips and thighs being squeezed so deliciously by the fabric. The material feeling almost strange on top of a human's soft skin, elves generally have tighter skin that's not as sensitive as the humans.
How each outfit is made out of various pieces and parts you have to put together to complete the picture. Unlike humanity's preference for compact clothes that are easy to wear or come as whole pieces, elves prefer complexity and a single shirt can have up to 13 steps to put on.
There aren't any buttons or seams or zippers. It's whole pieces that are held together by either magic or jewellery. Everything from the top of your head to your ankles has a specific piece that is important to complete the outfit.
It takes a lot of effort and after so many different youtube tutorials, mostly in elvish which you couldn't understand and had to relay on visuals only, you get the hand of it.
Since it was a surprise, you decline his offer to pick you up when you send him a message saying you're coming over. Walking through the street and getting curious and confused looks from other humans on your outfit.
You passed by a couple of elves that did a doube take when they saw you, blatantly staring at your short ears then your clothes. They looked like they wanted to say something to you, one of them even walked up to you and opened their mouth.
But nothing came out, they just turned around and went back to their friend. Completely red in the face as they kept stealing glances at you while whispering in elvish to each other.
After finally making it and opening the front door with the spare key he gave you, you step inside.
Expecting you, he calls out your name with clear excitement in his voice before clearing his throat and trying to attempting to mask his excitement as he makes his way to you.
The second his eyes register what you're wearing, his mind short circuits. His eyes have to blink a couple of times as if it's a trick of the light or an illusion, complete disbelief at the fact you're actually real and standing in his doorway in these clothes.
Just like the elves from before, his mouth opens but nothing comes out.
Then he's immediately picking you up and pinning you to the door. Lips hungrily kissing yours as desperate whimpers escape him.
It's his feelings are too much for his body to handle, his hands keep switching form place to place as he can't decide where to touch you first, where to feel and grope you.
His fingers are shaking, his eyes still looking at you with disbelief as his lips refuse to let up, as if he'll run out of air without the taste of your mouth.
You feel his hardness against you. He barely pays it any attention as he continues to admire your body. Marvelling at the way the clothes cling to your skin, at the various jewellery and elven designs, on you, a human.
If only a man can die from happiness, then he'll die happily knowing your current image was the last thing he has seen.
Do you even understand the effect of your outfit on him, little human? Do you even know what it represents? For all you know, you could've been walking outside with the equivalent of elven lingerie or a nightie.
He's calling you various endearing names in his original tongue, from endearing titles to ones exclusive to married souls. He seems in a haze as he urges you towards the bedroom, eyes pleading and knees weak as he struggles to switch betwern kissing you and pulling away to talk.

Is Erik South Asian / Indian coded?
This post isn’t going to be as extensive as my other FT posts, but I am going to put out thoughts of mine that have been playing in my head for some time now. Along with my observance of ‘Jellal wearing kohl’ and ‘Why aren’t the ladies of FT wearing panties anymore’ , I have another I want to put out today.
I think Erik (Cobra) of OS/CS is South Asian coded.
Specifically Indian.
I will list the evidence and explain my train of thought underneath.
Admittedly though , a lot of my reasons are for visual representations I have seen of him in both manga and official art, so I am not sure how solid my connections are for the HCs but I will say them either way.
Clothing pattern
Let’s start with the first reason why I believe Erik to be SA coded.
This is an image of Erik/Cobra from the official manga during the Nirvana Arc
Sadly the intricate design of many characters' clothes are omitted/reduced when animating, Erik here being no exception. And though I understand why, it’s a shame as so many details get taken out which could help piece some more information on the characters which aren’t told upfront.
In the manga, Erik is introduced with a piece that includes a paisley design (the teardrop shaped pattern) on the inner parts and cuffs of his coat. Why this is important to note is because the paisley design is something that is known to be a widespread clothing print all across Asia, namely South Asia/South-west Asia!
This Kameez (South Asian tunic) of mine has the ‘paisley’ pattern which is on Erik’s coat
Of course it is possible that the pattern on his inner coat/cuff could just be for the sake of fashion with no cultural significance, but taking in mind my next points I think it makes the argument of Erik being SA/Indian coded stronger.
Jewelry
This may come off as a weaker point I admit, but Erik’s use of jewelry also reminds me of SA heritage. His rings and armlet (or what I learned is called an arm-ring).
This opinion is purely subjective. I can admit that, but me coming from SA heritage myself, his use of jewelry resonates with the way I've seen it being used in my own culture; such as the design , what patterns it is being paired with, the use of adornment. It really reminds me of SA fashion and tradition.
But I want to be more objective in my reasoning so I looked up why his use of jewelry in the manga does resonate with SA heritage and found some things.
The armlet/arm-ring that Erik has on his coat in the manga is similar to that used in Indian heritage.
Fair in Indian tradition it’s used as a bridal jewelry (Vanki) for the women, but it was the closest I could find that was similar to what he had for my argument. It might be a reach though and I can accept that.
Now I will go onto my other point as to why I believe Erik is SA/Indian coded.
Salwar in game card
Another clothing observation, but his trouser reminds me of a salwar with a slit at the bottom. The slit is a bit higher than what I am accustomed to but I have seen clothing like this in SA heritage.
It’s not overly common but you can see where the influence comes from-
But let me go onto the main reason I have always thought Erik to have some ties to SA (but specifically India).
Cobra
As everyone knows his name when introduced is Cobra, however what this name also holds significance with, is the fact that India’s national reptile is actually the Cobra too!
King Cobra to be exact!
And on top of that in Hindu mythology, the cobra is a greatly respected and revered figure, literally seen as a deity and I believe that ties in well with Erik’s connection with snakes/cobra.
Erik
And the last point I want to make is that even his name can be found in South Asia too , just in case people want to counter the argument that the HC is improbable due to him having a European name.
As it can be seen the name Erik can be found near everywhere in the world, predominantly in places with European connections but also in Asia too.
And since I am arguing Erik being possibly Indian coded, I will show the statistics for his name there.
1,386 incidents of the name in the country! That is not a small number even if minute compared to the density of the population.
Map of India with distribution of the name Erik. (the darker red parts show a larger population of Eriks)
It’s very possible though Erik’s name could be from another SA country too. Or maybe he’s a case of being biracial with both SA heritage and something else.
But I could see him being fully SA too since despite the Christian / European origin of the name, there’s a lot of POC who give names like that possibly due to following Christianity or just out of preference! (and personally I know this is a trend in South Asian communities)
But I guess we will never know unless Mashima sheds some light on Erik’s background. ^^'
Now with all this evidence presented, you can judge for yourselves if Erik’s design/clothing and connection to cobras is merely a coincidence and i’m reaching or is he possibly a SA/Indian coded character?
Thank you all for taking the time to read this <3 Also big thanks to @jerzaworms for helping me find some of the evidence to help supplement this post and strengthen the argument of this hc!

Things to keep in mind while writing a south asian character-
(Since I'm a mixed south-north indian and a hindu-sikh I've mainly included details about indian-hindu characters(ill try to include more abt sikh characters aswell)tho ive tried to include as much info as I can abt other south asian countries aswell !also ,if you want, feel free to add more details in :)
And please forgive my grammar in some of these places XD
1.The most common one,of course being that south asia is not all india.countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri lanka,Bhutan etc exist to.
2.Religion tends to be a big part of many south asian people’s lives , and If not a big part of their life, than most south asians are atleast religious in one way or the other.Different religions are in majority in different regions of south asia. For example,Sri lanka is majority buddhist, mainly in the sinhalese majority while the tamil minority there is majority hindu. But it's more than valid if ur character is atheist to tho!
3.For indian characters specifically ,it's is important to know what state they are from and that state’s culture . For example, most (or almost all)tamil characters won't wear a salwar kameez.(if they do then mostly muslim tamils)(reminder;I'm talking about traditional wear. Yes a lot of Tamil's could wear a salwar kameez if they want but it is not the traditional dress of tamil nadu)
4.India itself is very diverse,so don't make every character hindu.in some regions one religion is more in the majority than the others. If you decide to make a christian-indian character ,than they usually are from south-west india and north-east india.
5.If you decide to make a hindu-indian character as maybe a marvel/dc oc or something , its best to do some research on hindu stories and history.trust me,it helps alot. If not a hindu character than do research on the folk tales of that characters region,as that can help to.
6.NOT EVERY INDIAN SPEAKS HINDI.INDIAN/HINDU ARE NOT LANGUAGES.istg please . All it takes is one search of your characters state and the states description almost always mentions the state’s official language.while some character from non Hindi speaking areas of the country, for example a malyalee person could know how to speak hindi (most probably by living somewhere like delhi),they would still talk in malayalam with family and stuff . Also a pakistani character and Hindi speaking indian can almost always communicate easily since since the most spoken language in Pakistan,Urdu is very similar to Hindi in sound(also a lot of indians, specifically muslim indian’s have urdu as their first language.)Also punjabi Pakistani's and Indian's don't have any problem in communication(the script they write punjabi in is different tho)Also since a lot of people from the north had their ancestors migrate from pakistan to india during partition regional languages of Pakistan such as sindhi, multani, balochi etc can be understood by some people of such descent living in India. And a bengali speaking indian and a Bangladeshi can communicate just as well.Nepali speaking indians and Nepali people can also communicate with each other. But when it comes to Sri Lankan tamil people their dialect is different than the one of indian tamilians,so their tamil is better understood by malyalees, but they can still communicate well enough with each other.afghan people speak pashto and dari.pashto is also understood by a small amount of ethnic pashtuns who live throughout the sub continent.People from the Maldives speak the language of dhivehi.
7.Indians overall have many festivals that all people of usually a certain community celebrate regardless of religion, caste, etc. For example ,the people in kerela celebrate onam.Infact in alot of the state’s people from a specific region have their on festivities.
8.Physical features vary from area to area of South Asia.So there is no definite“south asian“look.
9.Sikh’s don’t cut their hair , that’s why most Sikh women have long hair and most Sikh men wear turbans. Although some do, like my uncle from my mom’s side and my mom herself and etc. Though socially it's more acceptable for a sikh woman to cut her hair then a sikh man. But a load of times sikh immigrants do have to sadly cut their hair and take off their turbans in order to get jobs and all.
10.-And Hindu’s don’t eat beef. Most Sikh’s and overall all Indians tend to avoid beef to.a lot of Hindus are vegetarians due to religious beliefs. Tho mallus and some people from the north east for example usualy do eat beef(mainly the non hindus)
11.-For characters specially from south india(that to mainly kerala and tamil Nadu) the naming tradition that is used most commonly is that the child and wife use the father’s name as their last name. Though I've noticed that outside of their states atleast they tend to use their family names, but very rarely caste names.
12.- Believe it or not, in a show( I'm not sure about the name) a pakistani character had the name“shiv reddy“.pissed me of sm.yes pakistani hindus exist but if I havent already mentioned before,CERTAIN LAST NAMES BELONG TO CERTAIN AREAS. Reddy is an indian telugu hindu last name.please do your research.
13.-This applies to a good amount of north indians and just overall non south indians.south india is not one state.madras was the OLD name for Chennai, which is just one CITY in one state of south india. There are 5 states,6(and more) languages spoken. Please do not confuse those cultures.
14.-As for a good amount of non punjabis...please.punjabis are not all “balle-balle“ sikh people.please. And they're not all angry people looking for a fight either.
15.-Talking abt north india,I need to mention bollywood and how they stereotype.bombay aka the film city is in Maharashtra.yet they still stereotype Maharashtrians as poor people.gujjus are always the rich snobbish ppl.bengali ppl are sweet shy people and nepali people are Chinese. Goans are always english speaking drunkards or high attitude aunties.rajasthanis all have a heavy accent and are royalty and Uttar pradeshis-biharis are poor illiterate people. PLEASE STOP WITH THIS STEREOTYPICAL BULLSHIT ISTG. See,stereotypes exist because they are true, but only a part of the truth and over exaggerated asf.
16.-India does have a poverty issue but we are far from a third world country.most indians are middle class, that to is split in between lower middle class, middle middle class and upper middle class.and until or unless you live in a rural area casteism really isn't a problem.but remember, while casteism is illegal in indian law,it still affects people.it’s just a little less prevelant in big cities. While india is the farthest ahead in south asia atleast the rest of the countries are doing well for themselves as well.
17.-hindu culture specifically has so much lgbtqia+ stuff in it.but the fucking brit’s and Mughals ruined it. The only transgender festival of Asia is held in tamil nadu.seriously, I advise you do research of your own on it and you'll love it to!♥️
18.-Btw, hindi is a language, hindu religion. (had to add this again)Your character prolly from some place like madhya pradesh, bihar,Uttar pradesh,Delhi, uttarakhand or himachal pradesh if they are hindi speaking. Some people have the same confusion with malayalam. Malayalam is a language, malyalee’s are the people who speak it or at from kerala.
19.-talking about food.curry is a wide ass term.wdym by curry?fish curry, mutton curry or is it paneer curry?is it more creamy or not?do you eat it by itself, with rice,a paratha/parotta or all?like seriously stop with “curry“ ITS ANNOYINGGG.again food varries alot area by area.even in a specific area food varries. For example,Kerala-Tamil nadu sambar is damn spicy but sambar from karnataka and telugu states tends to be sweeter.also food from Karnataka is much milder in spice then food from Andhra, but still capable of burning the mouths of most non south asians 😍😘🥰.also,we tend to eat most of our food with hands(THE best way.)famous delicacies vary from country to country in south asia and area to area of india btw. And our food is not ’smelly’, it's FRAGRANT.
20.ok so ive in total had 2 specific segments dedicated to language and this is the third one.India, while having only 22 offical languages(again;i remind you,we do not have a national language)actually has like thousands of languages. Native people from even just one state can have different mother tongues(for example-three people who were born and raised in karnataka and have families that are native to the state could have the languages of kannada, tulu and kodava as their mother tongues). And again, dialects also differ. For example,Bombay hindi and the hindi of a person from Uttarakhand would be different, and so would Bangalore tamil and a Madurai native’s tamil. Also, let’s say a telugu person has been living in mumbai for a while, very rarely will they ever have an ’accent’ while speaking hindi or english.
21.so above i mentioned that alot of people from the north have had ancestors move in from pakistan during the partition(and vice versa for some Pakistani's).Similarly,a good amount of people from west bengal had their ancestors move in from bangladesh(and vice versa again, but unlike the north india-pakistan thing indian bong’s and bangladeshi people don’t exactly have that ’divide’).Adding this in specifically not only because of how important this is but it can give more depth to your characters if they are from any of these areas.
22.Every state has different art forms.be it dance, music or just art, every state has it different.India has 8 classical dances(bharatanatyam, kuchipudi, mohiniyattam, kathakali, oddisi, kathak, manipuri and sattriya) and has countless many more.Music also varies and so does art as i said above.
23.our culture is super feminist but fucked by the brits and mughals again. We had so many queens and princesses that fought wars and also many female warriors. In the ancient times women only wore single drape saris and didn’t cover their breasts because they were not seen as sexual, but infact as a sign of motherhood(and there forth strength). If they were covered,it was for support.
24.Most people know atleast 3+ languages and almost everyone knows 2 at the very least. Sometimes they can even understand(which can range from basic to great) some other languages. For eg.- my dad can speak english, hindi, telugu, konkani, tulu, punjabi, urdu and multani+ he can understand malayalam, kannada, sindhi and tamil well enough.
That's it(for now):) hope this can help.feel free to ask questions!+random songs from my playlist✨✨✨
(ps,check this post of mine out cause y not lol)

So I know how much you love exploring the world through historical fashion, and since the Eastern Commonwealth apparently spans all of Asia, have you dabbled in any of the more uncommon Asian garments for Cinder/Kai? I've been thinking about Cinder wearing a Saree but I'm also curious about Thai, Vietnamese, Burmese, Cambodian etc.
I have so many outfits saved that I’ve never got to (as I regularly fail them in practice). A lot of the time I’ll start out with a specific idea before I fail and revert back to hanfu since I’ve spent the most time practicing that so far. I want to make sure I do it right, so I’d rather wait until it looks correct. My current work for Kai will hopefully be a yellow Manchu (Yeah that was a lie, I failed again in colour and cloth in the middle of writing this.) I think both the E.C and Luna would wear chut thai (with makuṭa headdresses on the moon) and sarees, salwar kameez, dhoti kurtas, and other similar garments. I imagined Kai’s wedding attire in Cress/Winter to be traditional Thai wedding menswear with the “sash” being a sabai? For festivals I’ve always wanted to try drawing them in a white kosobe with a red hakama (there’s probably a single word for this outfit that I do not know) as well as try out something Mongolian, though I have no specific ideas with that, just a lot of options. Heading back south, anything that resembles lavalavas (skirts, wraps, trousers, etc) would probably be very common in the E.C. Sinhs could be common both in the E.C and the moon, maybe having a unique pattern depending on what sector you’re in. Perhaps the common fabrics used in things would change, which would be a way to include Persian silks and other fabrics, meshing traditional material with other cultural clothes (I think this would pair really well with Áo dài.) I can see garments like the deel and nekhii deel still being worn as everyday clothes, especially for warmer climates. Since the E.C seems fairly homogeneous, (maybe due to Asia being hit the hardest by the last world war, repeat imperialism, foreign government control, or assimilation) all these garments could start mixing and matching with each other. Maybe some of these things are global. This is how traditional clothing has merged and become its own thing in the past. I just really like to imagine these things being embraced because we have already experienced clothing bans and forced assimilation so much, and the world in these books has probably experienced more. Even before humans had the FOXP2 mutation that allowed us to understand language, we were making jewellery and art that meant something to us. It seems trivial, but keeping these things alive seems really important in both real life and fiction.
Once again, I am so very sorry if I have referred to things incorrectly. I’ll have some access to research papers that could help in a few weeks, but I am very much not a smart person, but I will still try my best.
#ask#tlc#I don’t even know what kind of articles I could use that could help#but it couldn’t hurt to try#sending in photos and suggestions never hurts#I write them all down so I can study them at the very least#and hopefully draw them some day

Hello! I saw that matchups were open and thought I'd send in a request for Twisted Wonderland.
Appearance-wise I am a 165 cm tall, average build, Bangladeshi woman (She/her but also cool with they/them). I have wavy black hair that just reaches below my shoulders and I usually dress in South Asian attire, usually salwar-kameez plus a hijab. I also wear glasses. I don't really feel comfortable going out without them 😅
My MBTI and enneagram: INTJ 5w4
Star sign: Sagittarius sun, Virgo moon and rising (I act more like a Virgo, allegedly)
Sexuality: demiromantic asexual (demisexual?)
Personality traits: Calm, collected, polite, quiet, shy (but that can easily be mistaken for being aloof or done with everyone's shit (they aren't entirely wrong about the latter) (someone told me I radiate black cat energy), not very facially expressive (I'm the most emotional emotionless person I know. I do feel things more deeply than people give me credit for), a good listener, hardworking (I often bite off more than I can chew and end up burnt out), intelligent (especially with numbers. RIP impostor syndrome + gifted kid burnout syndrome. As much as I love my major, electrical engineering is kicking my ass). I am also the oldest of three sisters, so I'm good at handling kids (I'm also expected to be the perfect daughter, so... yea). Someone also told me I'm wise, but all that wisdom came from all the books I read + watching Avatar: The Last Airbender lmao. The same person also said my presence was therapeutic (paraphrasing, of course. Also, this is alleged)
Hobbies: Making art, making jewelry, reading, writing, animating (I'm relatively new to animation. I don't know what I'm doing most of the time, but I'm still having fun), basically anything creative. I especially like to draw and paint things that radiate a sense of comfort, nostalgia, and serenity. Someone also told me that my artworks also hold a sort of innocence in the composition of the shapes, colours, and overall vibe of what I draw/paint. I also make jewelry from time to time
Likes: Classical music, lofi hip-hop, indie rpgs (Yume Nikki and Off have me in a chokehold, though not as tight as Obey Me, Court of Darkness, and Twisted Wonderland), tea, creative outlets. I also like to learn psychology
Dislikes: Cruelty, anyone who would dare to threaten my family or friends, loud noises, red meat (The texture is too much for me to handle), bright lights. I also dislike strong smelling things and being in crowded, noisy and bright environments for prolonged periods of time
What qualities do you look for in a partner? It may not look like it on the surface, but I'm a huge softie, I'd like anyone who I can feel safe talking to. They don't need to be perfect, I just need them to put effort into helping me with my emotional needs. I already do that a lot with others, so I'd like it if they turn the tables on me. I also would not tolerate it if my partner belittles me or if they're just mean or rude for no apparent reason.
My love languages include making art for them and spending quality time
How do you want to receive affection? As I stated before, I would like them to put effort into helping me with my emotional needs. I already do that a lot with others, so I'd like it if they turn the tables on me. I would also like physical touch and words of affirmation, but I can't guarantee I'll know how to react to that at first 🥲. It's gonna take some time for me to get used to it
I hope this is enough information. Thanks in advance if you choose to write this
I match you with...
KALIM AL ASIM
When you spoke about being an older sibling, it immediately reminded me of Kalim, and eventually I thought he might work!
Kalim, in all honesty, needs to work on how he handles himself around more reserved people. However, I think that the way you described your ideal partner lead me to think that Kalim was the best option.
Kalim is kind, generous, and is always looking out for the people he loves (even if he can be a tad dense at times.)
Kalim might be rather... erm... how can I say this in a polite way. stupid? Stupid in an endearing way. He'd always find time to make you happy and attend to your needs, however. He often says that teamwork is a valuable thing, and that's even truer in a relationship.
Despite often being unaware of the people around him, I think that after Jamil, Kalim is much more patient when it comes to listening to others, and is better at pulling his own weight. So, Kalim makes an effort to better make you comfortable since he knows your introverted nature can contrast with his own more extroverted one.
Kalim would always make time for you, ask your preferences for things, and generally try to make you as happy as possible. Kalim loves to have fun, and he has the most fun when he's with the people he loves, and that's you!
Receiving personally made gifts from you would make him incredibly happy, and to him they would be worth more than all of the treasures his family has.
Oftentimes, Kalim can treat you like a younger sibling moreso than a romantic partner, however, it's because he loves you and doesn't entirely get romance.
Speaking of younger siblings, he can relate to you by being an older sibling himself, and he's happy to introduce you to his many, MANY, younger brothers and sisters.
Now onto the part that made me unsure about Kalim for you. Kalim is VERY extroverted. He throws large parties and banquets quite often, and leaves Jamil to bear the weight of a lot of it. I assume that the stimuli from these events would be.. difficult to deal with for you, and Kalim would very much want you to go, however if you tell him, he'll understand how you feel (even if he's sad about it.) However, if you think of Kalim like the extrovert who adopted an introvert (you) it's much more endearing.
Kalim does anything he can to see you happy, feeling at peace when he sees you able to laugh and smile.
Thank you for requesting a matchup! Sorry if it isn't to your liking!!
Other character(s) I considered: Silver, Lilia.

You were told it was frivolous and a waste of time. However when you saw your first aikatsu performance you know that the stage was you wanted to be. Using your skills you wrote your own songs and designed your own outfits. You applied to preform in the local square and blew away the crowd. Your friends, family, and rapidly growing fanbase sent you off on your new adventure with a heartfelt farewell.

Hi! Thank you for proposing a matchup exchange, especially for Tokyo Debunker! It's great being able to write for such a new fandom. I hope you like your matchup!
In Tokyo Debunker, I match you with...
Without a doubt, Haru is your perfect matchup. He’s kind and is definitely someone who makes people feel like they’re in a safe space.
He’ll also put in all of his effort into helping with your emotional needs. I feel like he’s looking for someone who will do the same too so hopefully you can help him out there in your own unique way.
You’re both hardworking people who tend to get burnt out and that probably won’t change even when you’re together. But when you do both get burnt out, you can spend a day together resting and enjoying some quality time.
Please make art for him! Haru definitely gives off the vibes of someone who would hang his kid’s drawing on the fridge and it’s no different with you. Whether it’s a painting, a drawing, or a piece of jewellery, he’s going to display it somewhere everyone can see.
Haru will also be really good at giving you physical affection. He knows it’s going to take you a while to get used to it so he’ll start with small touches and only build up when he can see you’re feeling comfortable.

OFF FANS RISE UP!!!!!!! BRING THE FANDOM BACK!!!
== Twisted Wonderland ==>
I match you up with…
Lilia Vanrouge
Lilia is fascinated by you. You’re so young yet so wise! Your eyes and artistic works show so much wisdom and experience and he wishes to some extent that he could be like you.
He wants your dedication and intelligence, too. He feels like he’s made some mistakes in his lifetime, and in the darker parts of his mind, he wonders if he doesn’t deserve you.
You’re quick to remedy that with kisses and cuddles though.
Side note: Lilia is a little spoon. I do not make the rules.
He’ll get lost in your passion and artwork for HOURS. Seriously, he’ll just stare at your art and get this sense of comfort that he hasn’t felt before. And he’ll get that comfort all the same with you. You’re like home to him.
He keeps a small painting of yours on his person at all times, maybe in a locket, which helps him calm down when his emotions get the better of him.
He’ll also just look at it and giggle and kick his feet. He is whipped.
Lilia is absolutely someone you can feel safe talking with. He may not always understand your emotions, and he can be a bit pigheaded when he thinks he’s right, but if anyone can talk some sense into him it’s you.
He’ll be there for you at the end of each day and the beginning of each morning, and he’ll always remind you of how deep his love for you is. You are his everything.

Hello! I'm a sucker and a half for matchups, so I thought I'd yeet a request over if it's cool with you 😅
I would like a romantic Obey Me matchup request

After a long time of thinking 💭 your match is...
Satan
How it started:
In the dimly lit library of the Devildom, a hush settled over the rows of dusty tomes, broken only by the soft rustling of pages. Satan, the avatar of wrath, sat at his favorite corner table, engrossed in a thick, leather-bound book. His usual cynical expression softened as he delved deeper into the words on the pages.
Unbeknownst to him, you, the calm and collected human exchange student, silently entered the library. You had often frequented this sanctuary of knowledge, and your quiet demeanor didn't escape Satan's keen senses. He glanced up from his book, momentarily captivated by your presence.
As you meticulously selected a book from the shelf and settled at a nearby table, Satan couldn't help but watch you with a sense of fascination. Your intelligence was evident, your brow furrowing in concentration as you immersed yourself in the text. It was refreshing, a reprieve from the usual chaos of the Devildom. Days turned into weeks, and your presence in the library became a routine. You'd exchange polite nods, occasionally sharing a brief conversation about literature or art. Satan was drawn to your serenity, your ability to remain composed even in this chaotic realm.
One evening, as the library bathed in the soft glow of candlelight, you stumbled upon a rare and ancient text. Excitement sparkled in your intelligent eyes as you pored over its pages. It was then that Satan found himself unable to resist approaching you.
"Interesting choice," he remarked, his voice surprisingly gentle.
You looked up, your expression as unreadable as ever. "Yes, it's quite captivating."
And so, in the quiet corners of the library, a connection began to form. Satan's cynical exterior slowly melted away as he found himself discussing books, art, and life with you. He admired your hardworking nature, your ability to find solace in creativity, and your deep empathy for others.
Over time, Satan's anger and cynicism were overshadowed by a newfound warmth, a gentle affection he couldn't deny. He found himself not just captivated by your intelligence but drawn to your kindness and the comfort you brought to his tumultuous existence. In the end, it wasn't a fiery confrontation or grand gesture that won Satan's heart. It was the quiet, genuine connection that grew between you in the library—a love story born amidst the pages of ancient tomes and the serenity of a shared passion for knowledge and art.
General headcanons:
💘You're a great listener, and Satan, with his cynical outlook on life, often finds comfort in confiding in you.
💘You both find solace in creativity. While Satan may not be as artistically inclined as you, he admires your talent and enjoys watching you work on your art projects.
💘You two bond over a shared love for tea, you often find yourselves trying out different blends and discussing their flavors.
💘Despite Satan's cynicism, your presence brings out a more innocent and light-hearted side of him.
I'd appreciate it if you'd reblog this, and I hope you enjoyed reading it <3

Hello! are matchups still open in your timezone? If yes, I'd like to send one in
Appearance-wise I am a 165 cm tall, average build, Bangladeshi woman (She/her and they/them pronouns please). I have wavy black hair that just reaches below my shoulders and I usually dress in South Asian attire, usually salwar-kameez plus a hijab. I also wear glasses. I don't really feel comfortable going out without them 😅
My MBTI and enneagram: INTJ 5w4
Star sign: Sagittarius sun, Virgo moon and rising
Sexuality: demiromantic asexual (demisexual?)
Personality traits: Calm, collected, polite, quiet, shy (but that can easily be mistaken for being brooding or done with everyone's shit (they aren't entirely wrong about the latter)) (someone told me I radiate black cat energy), not very facially expressive (I'm the most emotional emotionless person I know. I do feel things more deeply than people give me credit for), a good listener, hardworking (I often bite off more than I can chew and end up burnt out), intelligent (especially with numbers),
Hobbies: Making art, reading, writing, animating (I'm relatively new to animation. I also make jewelry from time to time
Likes: Classical music, lofi hip-hop, indie rpgs (Yume Nikki and Off have me in a chokehold, though not as tight as Obey Me, Court of Darkness, and Twisted Wonderland), tea, creative outlets
Dislikes: Cruelty, anyone who would dare to threaten my family or friends, loud noises, red meat (The texture is too much for me to handle), bright lights
I also would not tolerate it if my partner belittles me or if they're just mean or rude for no apparent reason
It's gonna take some time for me to get used to it
Yup yup! You got yours in on time no worries!
"I was hoping you would come ask for a matchup! You're always here supporting my events, so I'm very happy to see you again! Of course, I'm delighted to give you a matchup!
I think the perfect match for you, is Heartslabyul's own Trey!"
He's probably the most emotionally mature student at NRC
in terms of personality, you two are very similar and get along very well except for the way you two appear
peaceful smile boi with black cat energy you
he knows that despite how inexpressive you might be, you do feel things deeply and he's always there even when it's not very obvious that something affected you
he loves your drawing and paintings
if you allow him, he'd have some of your paintings hung up on the walls of his room
Trey is probably the safest person to talk to, and would never judge you or be mean to you in any way
he's so supportive and cares about you so much, and would hate if anyone mistreated you
honestly your entire relationship is so soft and adorable
you two are like couple goals because it's so cute and people can tell you two truly genuinely love each other so much

Oooh, this looks fun! I guess I'll request for Court of Darkness. The first path I chose was Rio because he seemed like the only sane person at the time. I'm glad I did because he's a literal ray of sunshine and I could not ask for a better friend. I'm reading Guy's route (ew) for Aquia. He's just so sweet, and quite frankly the best part of reading either Guy or Jasper's path. When he said that I was his first love, I wanted so badly to requite his feelings. Can I have a fluffy romantic story with me and Aquia pls?
As for the info about me, I'm just gonna copy and paste what I wrote for one of my earlier requests so... Here ya go
Appearance: I am a 165 cm tall, average build, South Asian woman. I have wavy black hair that reaches my shoulders and I usually dress in South Asian attire, usually salwar-kameez. I also wear glasses. I don't really feel comfortable going out without them 😅
My MBTI and enneagram: INTJ 5w4
Star sign: Sagittarius sun, Virgo moon and rising
Sexuality: demiromantic asexual
Personality: I'm pretty calm, collected and hard-working for the most part. People say I'm intelligent, quiet, and polite. I can be sarcastic at times, although people often say it's hard to tell when I'm being sarcastic. I'm probably the most emotional unemotional person I know. I don't really show a whole lot of facial expressions, but I do feel things more deeply than people give me credit for. I also tend to get overwhelmed easily, especially when I'm in really noisy places for prolonged periods of time (Cries in neurodivergent. Maybe. IDK I've never been diagnosed. I'm just calling it symptoms disorder for now). When people get to know me, they say that I'm a good listener and that they feel safe to speak their mind to me. My favourite hobbies include reading, playing video games, listening to classical and lofi hip-hop, and making art. I especially like to draw and paint things that radiate a sense of comfort, nostalgia and serenity. Someone also told me that my artworks also hold a sort of innocence in the composition of the shapes, colours and the overall vibe of what I draw/paint.
(I may have spelled Acquia's name wrong this entire thing.... don't worry about it. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the time with your squishy boy!)
A Tale Where Aquia's Feelings are Requited, and Rio Helps it all go down
Rio had been there for you from the moment you set foot in the world. So he was also there to watch as you and Acquia started to fall for eachother. There were two problems though. The first was Acquia didn't have the confidence to confess his feelings. The , was that his big brother, whom he respected above all else, seemed to still think he could own you.
But Rio was a determined man. A determined man who thrived off making the people around him happy.
"Good work, mate! That dough is coming along nicely. Just need it for a couple more minutes and it should be good!"
Food brought people together, right? Well, by Rio's calculations, proving bread dough would keep people together for at least an hour.
"This is fun! Thanks for inviting me to bake with you," Acquia laughed, unperturbed by the flour covering his clothes.
"Hey Rio, what is it you wanted?"
Perfect timing. Right as they'd have to wait for the bread dough to rise, you arrived in the room.
"Hey! I was hoping you could draw a picture of Acquia for me. You know, since he's such a good friend I wanted to send a picture of him home so my father would know what he looks like."
It was a flimsy excuse at best. But he was hoping that with the simmering feelings you had for each other, neither of you would question him.
"Okay," you seemed hesitant, and Acquia was a blushing mess, but you were sitting down and taking out a notepad.
"I'll add color later, right now it'll just be a rough sketch. Just go about as normal, Acquia."
Acquia nodded, but seemed at a loss. But Rio was prepared for this.
"Oy! Rio! There's a weird weed we need to get out of the garden!"
Thoma rushed into the room with his pre-prepared excuse. It wasn't good acting, but it would suffice.
"Ah, I should see to that."
Both of you stood up, seemingly ready to help.
"No no, you guys have to stay here and watch the dough. Don't take it out of the drawer until it has at least doubled in size."
Then he and Thoma left you both, triumphant grins on their faces.
….
"I hope they're okay," Acquia muttered.
It had been quite a while since Rio and Thoma had left, and if you knew anything about Saligian plants, it was that it was very possible for them to eat humans. But you weren't going to upset Acquia.
"Rio's tough, I'm sure he's fine."
"Yeah, you're right. He probably got hungry and went out for a victory snack."
You finished up the final touches of your sketch, then set down your pencil.
"Okay, all done!"
You pushed the paper over to Acquia, and held back a giggle as he started blushing again.
"This is how you see me? I look so….I guess the word is sweet."
"Well yeah," you said matter of factly. "You're my sweet Acquia."
"Your Acquia?"
That's when you realized how it sounded, and got flustered yourself. Not that you meant it any other way, but you didn't know if he was ready for that.
"I…" he whispered, "I'd like to be yours."
"R-really?" You found yourself caught off guard.
"I mean….yeah. I like the idea of being your Acquia. It makes me feel," he blew out a frustrated breath, like he couldn't find the word he was looking for.
"I guess the idea of being yours makes me very happy," he finished, nodding to himself.
"Well, if you're mine, then I have to be yours. Those are the rules," you said, hoping to regain some of the footing he just knocked out from under you.
His smile was as bright as the sun as he gently took your hand and said, "I'd like that a lot. I'd be the happiest prince to ever live."
He frowned.
"I do have one request though. Can you draw a different picture of me for Rio? I want to keep this one."
….
That was a day of many firsts for Rio. Two of his best friends became paramours, and, for the first time in his life, he forgot he was baking bread.
Later, when you gave him the second picture of Acquia, he had also forgotten what the thing he needed it for was.
And that was what reminded you how great of a friend Rio could be.
