Video: Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari On Kriti Sanon’s Performance in Mimi

Kriti Sanon’s beautiful portrayal of a small town girl who takes the journey of a surrogate and becomes a mother in Mimi has grabbed several eyeballs. The film has garnered a lot of praise for the sensitive storyline and performances by the entire cast, including Pankaj Tripathi, Saie Tamhankar, Manoj Pahwa, Supriya Pathak and baby Jacob Smith.  Kriti Sanon who’s said to have delivered her career best performance so far, started her journey with Heropanti but one of her most memorable roles was at Bitti in Bareilly Ki Barfi. Directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, the film was a turning point in her career. Director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari is known for making beautiful films that subtly introduces to the possibilities, achievements and aspirations her characters think about. In her next film titled Panga, she talks about every mother who ‘deserves a second chance’. The makers have dropped the trailer of the film that features Kangana Ranaut in the lead – as a mother who is busy with her family and a realisation of a lost dream. Kangana’s Jaya Nigam was a national level Kabbadi player but now that she is married and has a kid, her zeal towards the game is considered dead until her husband and son motivate her to practise the game and get back to the field. The trailer boasts off some fine performances by Jassie Gill and Neena Gupta, who play husband and mother, respectively, to Kangana’s character. The actor is joined by Richa Chadha in the role of her friend. The three-minute trailer seems dedicated to the women who have adjusted themselves to their families keeping their ambitions aside. It’s a Wrap! Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari Shares A Picture From Panga With Kangana And Crew Members

Following to the release of Manikarnika The Queen of Jhansi in the month of January, Kangana Ranaut is ready with her upcoming movie Judgementall Hai Kya with Rajkummar Rao now. Release of Judgemental Hai Kya is scheduled on 26st July. In the meantime, she has been shooting for Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s Panga which has been wrapped now also. Shooting of the movie Panga has happened in different cities. On the last day of shoot, both director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Kangana Ranaut have decided to share some picture with the crew.

As the shooting of Panga has come to an end, director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari has been quite emotional. On the occasion, she has written a heartfelt note for her lead actress Kangana Ranaut.
