It feels like with Ashi and Punn, Wan is gonna pursue making Punn an actor - maybe with the intention of putting them together as a branded pair? But is that something either of them will want??

I'm showing up to Be Mine, Superstar for the fluff, but both couples having to talk about public personas and the repercussions of having a relationship were interesting considering these issues will probably be the focus of the second half.

Muang's doctor directly stated that although he hasn't intentionally hurt anyone, if their relationship comes to light, someone is bound to find out about his casual sex life and try to use it against Muang.

While Ashi warned Punn that they must keep their work life separate from their personal relationship.

The show isn't speaking about fan service, but this narrative aligns with the toxicity of shipping culture. It shouldn't matter that these men are dating, and the show doesn't seem to be making the issue specifically that they are dating men because the real conflict is that they are simply dating anyone at all.

Due to their jobs, they have to stay publicly single and being in a relationship would be a misstep in their careers, which their manager has kindly warned them of several times.

They are actors who must always put on an act. They are defined by their roles and cannot veer away from the script. My Beautiful Man: Eternal had a similar plot line, so it's interesting to see BLs take this issue to task, and I'm excited to see how this unfolds.

be mine superstar ep 11 was the worst best ep 11 of all and not just because the conflict seems stupid but because it's actually kinda legitimate but a victim of bad writting

let me explain how, the conflict is not that Ashi used his irl emotions to understand and play a role in the movie, it's that Punn thinks Ashi only started dating him in order to understand and be able to play his character well, that the entire base for their relationship is Ashi wanting to draw from real life experience and not Ashi simply drawing from real life experience because he was already dating Punn

this could have been executed so well had the writting been a little bit better coz I don't have any experience in this area but i feel like people who have dated actors irl could sometimes feel this conflict(?) idk i could be totally wrong but it could be a legitimate issue, but the writting and execution (i mean direction and flow and not the acting) were so half hearted it left a lot of people confused (me included at first) and unsatisfied

at least meung and ning had an understandable conflict and it was resolved through the power of communication in like 5 mins(?) when they met, ids how they're going to resolve ashipunn coz ids ashi leaving acting and punn was supposed to be this very understanding and super supportive fella who can stand with his loved one through anything but crumbled at the first sign of induced doubt by the diciest character he knows is after his man and hella jealous of their relationship!! like they're(writers) purposefully destroying their own well written characters im just 🤐😤🤯

The amount that I love these two idiots is basically impossible to describe but I love them so much.

The romance of their hands. Imaginary engagement rings and tender comfort and the love of family and the support of everyone around them... it's just so wonderful.

Muang sees it, Ashi sees the care, but all Punn sees is this level of nerves he has and this fear of overstepping and of being too much and of letting his love over rule his common sense when the truth is that Ashi wants that love and care. Not from Wan but from Punn.

Punn misinterpreting Ashi talking about his personal life staying separate from Wan as also staying separate from him is painful because he might love Ashi for an old kindness but he can't see that Ashi might care for him for that same kind of kindness because he still sees Ashi's fame before he sees him as a person.

Because it isn't that he forgot who Ashi really is. It's that he is now forgetting that Ashi isn't just a movie star and celebrity but also a person who said he wanted to be taken care of by someone.

Because he's inviting you into it, Punn! Ashi is inviting you into his life and he's trying to do it slowly and he's just looking for more people to care about and to care about him. And that's hard when you're a celebrity.

I love Punn's mom. She is going on my list of 'best moms of all time' and she is staying there forever. I adore her. Just look at her! Just listen to her! She's got Punn's back and she knows both her sons and she understands them both. And Pai might try to bring what he considers realism to his brother but she won't let him bring them down.

And then Ashi followed him home. Well, went to the coffee shop that he knows Punn's family owns.

A bright spot of orange amidst the blue of Punn's family but also the sweater feels just a bit too big and he feels just a bit too small despite the fact that we know he's a famous movie star and that he's here to dissuade Punn of any thoughts of giving him more space. And it's beautiful.

This is so great to see because the miscommunication is coming from a place of love and worry rather than maliciousness or stupidity. It's about kindness.

Look, Muang, I get what you mean but this is absolutely the cruelest way you could have said it to Ashi.

But also I get why he said it. He absolutely saw the pain Punn was in and how Ashi was taking a lot of things for granted

Because Muang knows this side of Punn better than Ashi does because Punn tries to hide this side of himself from Ashi because of how much he loves him.

I want to bottle this look and the way Ashi just leans over him and stares at him like his heart is being broken and built at the same time. Ashi loves Punn so much. And he's realizing it as much as it scares him to realizes, as much as he fears this idea of loving someone this much again he still loves him that much.

He loves him enough to go see him when he's drunk and drive them together to the ocean, to drive them into the sunrise and the start of a new day through the darkness.

He's so dramatic and darling about it.

He sleeps with a pillow of his idol and is gonna meet. I already love him. I don't even care. We absolutely do not enough fan/idol romances in BL. Like, not even close to enough. And this is glorious.

I love that he's the harried and bullied older brother with a crush on an idol and that he's mostly sweet and very open about his emotions and that he kisses the poster of his idol good bye while asking him to take care of him. I am lost for this tiny dork. He is everything to me.

The flowers and the spotlight. LOST. I am lost. @absolutebl This show doesn't need to be good but it is going to be glorious. The tiny dork who has a giant crush on his idol! The idol who, so far, has mostly worn fancy western suits and been very serious. Love it here.

But also hello outfit of my dreams.

The front ponytail and the desperate attempts to clean and the fact that Ashi very obviously finds this adorable is just sending me. I love them. Kind boys being kind if also useless just makes me day. I love tiny disasters. And the cooking. Oh, Punn is a mess but he's trying so hard.

And then we get Ashi who might say Punn doesn't need to clean his floor but definitely needs to cool his food for him.

Ashi might not really know his feelings towards Punn yet but he definitely knows that there's something going on between them.

I love this tiny idiot so much. He is darling and has the biggest crush and is just totally uselesss. Do you see how useless he is? Do you understand how useless he is? He's dancing around the room with a body pillow of the boy he had a crush on in high school who turned out to be a big time TV star and I could just die.

My tiny and staring idiot I love him on every possible level that there is to love him, y'all. You don't even know. Please.
