yes, i think i could fix him, but not in the lovey dovey ‘he’ll change for me!’ way. its more of a ‘i could chain him to a radiator in my basement and give him stockholm syndrome so he behaves himself’ kind of way. y’know?

Text
So I made a playlist of songs that I feel fit the characters of DayDreaming
Also, @smilingcrittersthingig, DayDreaming is now re-rewritten to be a DayNap story, thought I'd tell you since I'd feel bad for keeping that false information in the reply about Bobby Bearhug finding Dogday, when I talked about DayDreaming not being a DayNap story.
Certain parts reference the themes of DayDreaming. The text below the cut in red is 18+. Avoid the text in red below the cut if you are sensitive to themes of physical and sexual abuse.
Anyway, here's the songs:
Iridescent by LinkinPark
I see the chorus, and opening verse, as something Bobby and Dogday would sing together, lightly relating to Dogday's abusive previous relationship.
Careful What You Wish For (the doctor said to) by Jack Harris
I think that the chorus of this song fits what Dogday's ex-boyfriend (Neil) would say to Dogday while sexually abusing Dogday. (More specifically, the line "Took your peace, your pain, your pleasure, and I left you with one face forever... You won't hurt anymore. Be careful what you wish for" because that line is eerily similar to what Neil would actually do to Dogday, combining his peace (the person he used to love), his pain (how Neil is hurting Dogday), and his pleasure (how Dogday ashamedly and regrettably feels even when he's being abused) together into one emotion.
Hell's Greatest Dad from Hazbin Hotel doesn't fit the story of DayDreaming in any way really, but, even though I won't write it, a rivalry between Bobby and Catnap for Dogday interests me.
I feel like Loser, Baby from Hazbin Hotel, more so the first half of the song, fits Dogday and Catnap. Maybe Dogday singing to Catnap after a falling out with Bobby, or Catnap singing to Dogday. I feel like it could go either way.
I'm putting in Just Look My Way from Helluva Boss as a representation of Catnap's want for Dogday and his self-doubt and self-hate, but the song would need a lot of changes to fully fit Catnap.
I feel like Lucifer's verse in The Show Must Go On from Hazbin Hotel fits a scene where maybe Dogday is singing to Catnap to cheer him up.
Addict by Silva Hound doesn't necessarily fit the story of DayDreaming, but I see a lot parallels between Valentino and Neil, Angel Dust and Dogday, and Cherri Bomb and Bobby Bearhug.
Angel Dust and Valentino's relationship in the song Poison from Hazbin Hotel and in the show in general is much more explicit than I'd be comfortable writing for any character, but it still has some parallels to Dogday and Neil's relationship within DayDreaming.
