more about ashaa please i need this
ISN’T SHE THE MOST. here are some ashaa storyline fun facts
ashaa’s father is a powerful space warlord who tried to get his force-sensitive kid training early on, but refused to hand over his beloved daughter (and heir!) to the jedi. so part of what he joins up with the separatists for is for dooku to train her. this doesn’t go great! dooku isn’t allowed to teach her any of that dark side nonsense without fucking up his alliance with her dad and dooku is also very dismissive of ashaa’s admittedly mediocre force talents
she DOES however get a lightsaber. very proud day. untillll it happens to be slightly haunted by the force ghost of the jedi her father killed for it... who happens to be kota’s master...
kota eventually kills ashaa’s father during the clone wars in a, ahem, slightly dark side way. the cycle of revenge is like that sometimes! let’s say that a while later, when everybody else wants to bring back kota from being an inquisitor... ashaa’s not quite on board
after her father dies, ashaa eventually runs away from the separatists when grievous commands her to fire on a ship full of little clone cadets. she also ends up with two little clone cadets trailing after her because when you’re a very stressed eighteen-year-old on the run from both sides of the galaxy, adopting two clone deserter kids (one is force-sensitive and one is an anti republic anti GAR legend) seems like it just might as well happen at this point
oh also the whole time she has an astromech who is essentially the uncle iroh to her zuko

for the oc asks: 32 and 33
32. which oc believes in ghosts?
is having actual practical experience of ghosts cheating? because ashaa is literally haunted by a jedi’s force ghost. he’s in her lightsaber and it’s really annoying but he has good soresu tips
33. which oc has the most genre awareness? which oc has the least?
i would say sirilla has the most genre awareness. esp during the clone wars when she has that General Sense of Impending Tragedy that kind of comes with the jedi seer territory. definitely commander “it’s probably fine if the love of my life falls to the dark side like how bad can it be” rook has the least. poor guy

9 and 38 for ashaa :D (for the oc ask game!)
9. what is one universe/story an oc would fit into besides the one they live in?
i would love to redesign her for a fantasy world. there’s always room in fantasy for a magic-wielding dispossessed heir to a family of pirate warlords, right? some kind of dragon age apostate or maybe a seafaring targaryen offshoot from ASOIAF. also kota could do boromir but ashaa could do a worse aragorn is that anything
38. drop a fun fact abt your oc!
all her clothes, especially her headpiece, are characterised by a diamond shape. the diamond is the tarkona star, a symbol of her family—lots of them have tattoos or lekku headwear, but all of them wear it in their own way! they believe there’s no freedom on planets, and their only home is in the stars. it’s bad luck to land anywhere without carrying the tarkona star with you, so they wear it everywhere just in case! some people think it's derived from their partial mandalorian heritage and the kar'ta beskar

3 & 18 for Sirilla and 25 for Ashaa (or all of them for all for all your ocs if you want!)
3. what is one thing they really wish they could say to someone? who? why can't they?
she’d want to tell her parents (who she never ended up meeting) how she was, and about everything she’d done, and about her new family, and ask them if they ever regretted giving her to the order
18. what do they want more than anything in the world?
the restoration of the jedi order. even before order 66 she saw something that needed to be restored. and afterwards she commits everything to making sure the jedi ways survive
25. do they like to take pictures? do they take more selfies or pictures of other things?
ashaa, heir to and later matriarch of the tarkona clan, WILL be taking family photos, and you WILL be in them looking presentable or SO HELP HER FORCE—

Id like to ask you oc questions but could you maybe provide a list of all your ocs or do you have tags of them? :)
fuck i really should have gone crazy abt my ocs AFTER i finished the little chart of them i’m drawing fghdjsksk
anyway my core 5 ocs:
kotayim “kota” sanga x x is the one i’ve talked abt most, he’s a clone wars era jedi/later one of the earliest inquisitors
his padawan sirilla charn, naboo-born anxiety-filled gal who sees visions, protagonist energy
rook, kota’s love interest and clone commander, tough strict uptight hard-outer-shell-with-soft-centre, will say “i hope you die” affectionately
shanwey vell, pantoran, the youngest nat-born admiral in the GAR not because of talent but because of sweet sweet nepotism, reluctantly followed order 66 only to later find out she was the only one not literally brainwashed to do it. maybe contains half of a redeemable quality but we don’t know what it is
ashaa tarkona, sirilla’s love interest, force-sensitive daughter of a separatist warlord, angry vengeful teenager with a stolen lightsaber who grew up into a powerful matriarch and rebel leader

sorry this isn’t really related to the ask game, but how do u name ur ocs? they all sound like Real Star Wars Characters and i have no idea how u did it lol
oh thank u!! it’s a Long Term Process because i am very perfectionistic abt it but basically steal syllables and mash them together until you have something that works. especially steal syllables from a) words relevant to their character b) real life names so it sounds like a name and c) other star wars characters of the same species. i’ll give u a couple examples
kotayim sanga! so originally his name was kota yimira... or yimuri... smth like that? that was a mix of borrowed syllables from other zabrak names (he was originally a zabrak) and i think i also used japanese names uh just because it was a japanese actor who i used as the original base model for his face. literally just listing out common syllables and their combinations mechanically. then i wanted kota to be short for something, because it’s key to his friendly approachable character that he wants everyone to be on nickname terms with him. so i pushed kota and yim together: kotayim. but he needed a new surname, so i took sanga from “sanguine”, as in blood red, because of his red-ish markings and also you know the edgy dark side foreshadowing connotations
ashaa tarkona! her first name is a mixture of the “aa” from fellow twi’lek aayla secura and just the word ash, because like, endless symbolism, phoenixes and whatnot. i think it was originally aasha but i switched it round? and tarkona was me taking random other star wars names—literally tarkin lmao—and chopping vowels in and out. if i recall correctly i think i found out later that tarkona is the surname of an actual twi’lek in legends but whatever that’s fun. maybe they’re part of the extended tarkona family

24. Where did their name come from? Does it have meaning?
i’m going to be real with u, it’s star wars, i just smash letters together until they sound good. my main nat-born ocs are kotayim sanga, sirilla charn, ashaa tarkona, shanwey vell, and dr imideen orora. 90% of that is just putting syllables into a blender. a lot of them were intended to suit species that i changed my mind about. sanga comes from sanguine as in blood-red, and i’m pretty sure i accidentally stole sirilla from the witcher, and i have a horrible suspicion dr orora was a doctor i had in real life when i was little
however my clone trooper ocs have name meanings! commander rook comes from both the chess piece (a fortress, a stronghold, steady and reliable) and the bird (they gather to fly in large groups, an ordinary individual transformed into something great by working together, which is how he envisions his men). i realised afterwards that neither of these things exist in star wars, but rook is actually a fairly common name in star wars, so i figure it’s the gffa equivalent of calling yourself smith, which rook would absolutely do. minimum effort king. gamble and quill are my arc troopers; gamble’s fairly obvious, he’s a risk-taker, and quill is an Artiste™️ with pretty armour paint and a love of writing

🌹🌴 ok ok I know I just sent you one but I need to know everything about sirilla 💕💕💕
🌹- what’s this oc’s biggest fear?
ohh man. my dear sweet sirilla has a lot of anxiety. i’d say her worst fear is that the jedi are on the wrong side of this war. but more personally, she’s terrified of predicting something terrible and not being able to stop it. sirilla has this unique force ability, a kind of foresight that gives her short-term warnings of something that’s about to happen. between thirty seconds and thirty minutes before the event. usually that’s enough time to drag someone out of the line of fire—but one day she’s sure it won’t be.
🌴 - who’s this oc’s favourite person?
kota, who’s her master! she thinks the world of him and always will, no matter what... even if she’s not sure he’s right about everything. honourable mentions to quill and gamble, the arc trooper duo who are the big brothers she’s always secretly wanted, and also to ashaa tarkona, the love of her life—even if they start out on opposite sides of the battlefield
send me oc asks!! :D

:gun: tell me about ur ocs
i have an ABSURD number of ocs. more ocs every day. but i will tell you about the Originals
sirilla charn is a tcw era jedi padawan. she’s human, from naboo (you can see a lil commission i got of her here!) optimistic, brave, stubborn, quite spiritual and believes strongly in the jedi order. the true believer, if you will. she really should be buried in archives by nature but she has this force gift of warning premonitions a few seconds ahead of danger that is really fucking useful in a warzone. so she gets transferred. she has two arc troopers, quill and gamble, who are there to keep an eye on her, but they kind of end up with one shared braincell (quill has it at all times)
then they meet ashaa tarkona, a force-using twi’lek who works for general grievous. she’s evil she’s angry she’s very pretty. she’s also fairly up for having a cute jedi nemesis until sirilla accidentally finds out her tragic backstory and starts trying to make her change sides. cue ashaa being slowly painstakingly dragged into a redemption arc by her and also by the clone cadet that ashaa accidentally kidnaps (it’s a long story). she also has a droid that functions for her as uncle iroh does for zuko except in binary beeps
eventually ashaa saves her from order 66 and they become rebels together. *sirilla voice* “yes i have a wife yes i have many adopted children yes i’m a jedi, we exist”. i love them so much
