Also, somehow it feels worse if it's Lucario (Riolu) or Greninja (Froakie) instead of Pikachu.

Does anyone else kind of just... really not like "Ash has a different starter" fics?

I mean, I guess people like them and that's fine for them, but Ash without Pikachu... I dunno, it's not for me, it really isn't, it feels off.

... that also goes for Pikachu evolving or having a nickname.

Ash-Greninja

Ash-Greninja has been completely retconned from the series in a way. He doesn't appear in Ash's flashbacks in Pokemon Journeys, Battle Bond was changed to remove the transformation in Scarlet and Violet, and there is no Ash-Greninja plush in the new Kalos Sitting Cuties line. Hopefully we see Ash-Greninja again sometime!

I can only offer a little bit atm, but i do have some ideas on Ash’s pokemon disguises!

(None of them are seen all at once except Pikachu and Greninja)

Goodra and Noibat are used less frequently in disguise cause they don’t often encounter things where they are needed (the duo understand) but when they help, they help!

It’s easier to hide them around when people try copying Ash’s pokemon team as Ameka, so Ameka doesn’t have to worry about compromising his identity

ash greninja is such a banger concept. there's the sheer absurdity of ash saying he will become the frog but also if you read into it there's some sick ass psychological horror to be found. are they like a hivemind? do they share memories? if one of ash's friends unknowingly stumbled across The Greninja post xy (not the ones who know about it) would they be able to sense ash in it? and vice versa does ash have an entirely unfamiliar vibe to them despite being the same? do you think greninja would ever command the local pokemon like a trainer would? does ash look at his hands and get startled because they aren't greninja's hands? do they share dreams

Ash’s abandoned pokemon are the real threats. They can see some bullies like her but bad at feelings so they mock her to feel better. They hate them

it also doesn't help that a majority of the abandoned Pokemon are hard hitting Fire-types, so they feel a lot more fiercely, so they're especially protective of Ash when it comes to those bullies

idk if Greninja counts because he technically abandoned the trainers he had, but I guess I can count it. Greninja is more like the calm protective, like a body guard of sorts

but all in all, the Pokemon hate the bullies >:T

Top 5 things I want from Legends Z-A:

5. Zygarde final fight- it's basically confirmed that Zygarde will play some part in the story, but I would really want a Origin Dialga/Palkia level fight against 100% Zygarde/Mega Zygarde

4. PLA Shiny Sound- god, ScarVio had a lot of flaws, but the lack of a shiny sound was really annoying to deal with. They got it right the first time with Overworld shinies and then regressed

3. New Mega Pokemon- I would love to see new Mega pokemon, especially considering the fact we were ROBBED of Mega Flygon because Game Freak “couldn’t think of a good idea”. Please, it's easy, just make Flygon a high speed jet, duh. Kalos starter Megas would also be nice

2. Emmet/Larry/someone else from the previous games- Is this just because I like seeing past characters in different environments… yes, but TELL ME EMMET IN THE FRENCH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION WOULD NOT BE SICKKKK (If you can’t tell, i like Submas =] js a little). Or Larry, js vibing in some random building after getting sent to the past and js finding another office job.

ASH-GRENINJA BACK- WHY WOULD THEY REMOVE HIS FORM CHANGE, IT WAS SO GOOD AND COOL! THE LEAST THEY COULD DO IS HONOR ASH KETCHUM POST TO BE A MASTER IS BY LETTING ASH GRENINJA COMEBACK. GAME FREAK! BRING BACK ASH GRENINJA AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!!!

Pokémon Day pieces based on the Presents news. Liko is with her cousins, Cobalt Blue (left) and Indigo Blue (right). L&R’s Ride Pokémon are Dragonite and Fearow! I went with Fearow in the end because it’s easier to draw and is an old favorite.

Because it appears the TPC seems to be altering its work load schedule, I’m kinda hoping at some point during the release of Z-A we get an OVA about Ash reuniting with his XYZ crew and with Ash-Greninja and Zygarde they stop a new threat loosely based on the Z-A plot (whatever that winds up being).
