Există o lipsă a conștientizării în rândul populației ceea ce rezultă în participare redusă la decizii și guvernare, care ar fi soluția la provocările din orașe. Programe specifice și o puternică voință politică sunt necesare pentru a rezolva aceste probleme. Există un deficit general în ceea ce privește accesul la informare datorită 1, accesibilității reduse a cetățenilor care își au rădăcinile în insuficienta propagare a informațiilor din partea guvernării, 2, deficitului comunicațional din interiorul guvernării și printre instituțiile guvernamentale. Decalajele sociale existente între diversele grupe de populație legate de vârstă, sex , origini sociale, etc. care influențează oportunitățile economice, accesul la resurse și condițiile de mediu trebuiesc reduse. Trebuie crescute accesul la joburi, locuințe, educație. Trebuiesc aduse îmbunătățiri la technologiile de comunicare în special, aptitudinile digitale ale locuitorilor trebuiesc crescute. Mediul de afaceri prezintă lacune în deschidere și competitivitate și are nevoie de căi mai facile la finanțare șinoportunități de afaceri. Dezvoltarea economică trebuie să fie mai inovativă și economia să se conducă singură. Economiile din regiune par a fi focalizate pe câte o singură direcție, având o mobilitate mai redusă. Șomajul urban este o problemă, astfel că locația centrelor prodcutive în zonă este crucială. Economia informală joacă un rol important în țările analizate din cauza prezenței largi și a oportunităților oferite în special celor mai săraci. Aceste scheme trebuiesc avute în vedere, chiar dacă nu pot fi controlate. Este necesar ca să se dezvolte politici pentru accelerarea transportului, să se facă o schimbare către modele mai sustenabile și mai inclusive. Proiecte care să ajungă la diverse locuri mai îndepărtate trebuiesc dezvoltate. Mașina personală este văzută ca un status simbol și un semn al progresului. Acest fapt, legat de politicile ineficiente de mobilitate și lipsa stimulentelor , ca și creșterea resurselor economice stimulează cumpărarea și utilizarea autovehicolelor private. Trebuiesc  luate măsuri pentru inversarea trendului. Poluarea aerului, datorată modelelor de mobilitate, a apei și a solului (datorită managementului defectuos al resurselor) sunt problemele principale în orașe prin faptul că afectează viața în orașe precum și mediul. Dat fiind faptul că orașele continuă sa crească peste limitele stabilite în trecut într-un ritm rapid , trebuie acordată o atenție deosebită modului în care acest proces se desfășoară. Ele nu trebuie să afecteze mediul înconjurător, să asigure protecția bunurilor culturale și să fie luate în considerare și inechitățile economice. Calitatea spațiului public este joasă datorită aspectelor legate de spațiile verzi, siguranță, adaptare la climă, accesibilitate, etc. Trebuie încurajate măsurile în această direcție. Limitarea accesului și utilizării autovehicolelor private este o prioritate. Există o lipsă a eficienței în ceea ce privește managemntului apei, resurselor energetice și a deșeurilor, în unele locuri chiar lipsește managementul public. Orașele trebuie să dezvolte planuri în această direcție.

as far as i know, it looks like the russian jury was very corrupt and unprofessional. there was a periscope leaking where one of the jurors comments on douwe bob’s performance and says “cute but bull”. another comment heard in the background was “i’m for armenia because my husband is armenian”... basically, they were judging the songs by country, ethinicity and such. also, one of the juries was filming all the performances of the first semi final and everybody of the russian jury saw, but nobody said anything to stop the person from doing this and such... i really hope that at least ebu disqualifies the jury after this and make only televoting in russia
