Lance W. Lancer has had enough.
Danny Fenton had missed school for over a month.
Lancer had called the Fentons over and over again, they never responded to his calls. Last he checked Sam Manson and Tucker Foley had no idea where the other 1/3 of their trio was.
Lance W. Lancer has had enough.
There where so many rumors floating around the school concerning where the youngest Fenton was
Danny was abducted by ghosts
Danny was sick
Danny ran away
Danny was captured by the GIW
Lance didn’t know what to believe.
Lance would never admit it aloud but Danny Fenton was his favorite student. It was why he pushed the boy so hard. Danny was a bright boy, a solid A student, who suddenly tanked to a D- average in the first semester. Of course Lance was concerned. Danny wouldn’t admit anything was wrong, his parents either didn’t know or didn’t care and Sam and Tucker gave him every excuse in the book.
Lance had been patient. He learned the hard way that forcing a student to tell him their problems would only make the situation worse and until Lance saw obvious signs of abuse, there was nothing he could really do.
Now Danny has been missing for over a month.
No one had heard from him. Know one knew anything.
Lance had to know his student was okay.
….
Lance didn’t know how long he spent between ringing the Fentons door bell and trying to get them to answer the damn phone, before Jack answered the door with a half chewed piece of fudge in his hand.
Jack Fenton was jovial as usual. If Lance went on personality alone he would swear Jack wouldn’t hurt a fly. He would have been dead wrong but that was the impression Lance got when they first met. Right up until Jack brought out the Bazooka.
Jack had yet to let Lance get a word in before dragging the vice principal into Fentonworks. Jack was yacking about his most recent invention and describing in horrifying detail what it was supposed to do to and ghost they caught. Before Lance knew ghosts existed he just thought the Fentons were the local loons and tried to be extra supportive of their children. After the Meat incident Lance knew they where unfortunately right. He still didn’t like the way they talked about ghosts mostly because of how inconsistent their views were, how can something be non-sentient and inherently malicious at the same time.
Now was not the time to dwell on the Fentons obsession, Lance was here to find out about Danny.
….
They hadn’t even known.
The Fentons, despite all his calls, had not realized their son was skipping school.
Oh they were furious, as most parents would be, to learn their son was missing school and marched right up to his room to give him a piece of their mind with Lance in hot pursuit.
If Lance hadn’t known any better he would have thought Danny’s room was meant for a college freshman. The only things in the room where a bed, a mattress, a desk and a chair. Everything that gave any indication someone had lived in the room was gone. Every trace of Danny was gone.
The Fentons were just as confused as he was. The last time they had checked Danny’s room it had needed a good dusting but was just like any other teenagers room.
No one had seen Daniel in over a month. All his worldly possessions were gone. Lance was not liking the looks of things.
While the Fentons rambled on about how a ghost must have stolen Danny’s things Lance noticed a letter sitting on the bare desk.
The letter was from Danny to his parents.
The letter said he had been held captive by the GIW for two weeks.
The letter said he spent two weeks healing with a nice family who found him after he escaped
The letter said he had come home to discover his parents didn’t know he was missing.
The letter was dated two weeks ago.
Bruce had been walking out of the WE building when he spotted a child who could fit right in at Wayne Manor looking around. Determining he was probably lost, Bruce approached him and tapped his shoulder. The boy turned around.
"Daddy?" he asked.
