BG3 Wedding Season Tag Game
Inspired by @lewdisescariot's post about Spring/Summer being wedding season, I present to you an unofficial Wedding Season Tag Game!
It's time to create your special day. Your favorite companion or NPC has proposed to your OC, or your OC proposed to them, and now it's time to plan and throw a wedding! The first list is about the details, while the second zeroes in on specific moments!
Tag a friend and challenge them to answer some (or all) of the prompts on this list. There are 31 prompts, so you can also use the prompts as a daily headcanon/art/fic challenge. Use the prompts however you like! If you want to share your stuff with a shared tag, you can use the tag #bg3weddingseason

Ceremony - Write the scene where they exchange vows, complete a unity ceremony, exchange rings, or etc.
First Dance - Does your couple have a first dance? What is that like for them?
Private Moments - Every couple needs a private moment away from the big day. When does your couple escape the festivities, before, during, or after the ceremony/reception, to have a private, quiet (or perhaps not so quiet) moment?
Reception - Does anything specific happen at the reception? Drama, a sweet moment with a parent or other companions, cake-smashing, games, a surprise?
First Night, Morning After - Write a specific moment or detail about their first night together as a wedded couple, and/or what it is like for them to wake up the next morning as a wedded couple.
Different cultures around the world have different wedding expectations, ceremonies, events, and so forth, so if you find that this list doesn't let you explore those ideas, feel free to adjust the prompts to suit you and your characters more!
Enjoy and have fun!

I should have known you hiring me was more than just to help around the pasture.
You came into town one day looking for a couple guys to help you on your ranch, just through the season until the upper grazing fields were lush and ready for your cattle.
Of course, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Tending to peaceful angus, away from most anything/one, surrounded by just the sound of gentle wind and rustling denim? Who could say no.
It took a couple weeks for me to notice, I’m fresh faced after all and wasn’t all too familiar with farm hand etiquette. Slowly though, over time and visits to town on my off days, I realized you needed me, no, wanted me for more than just up-keep and tending.
I knew the ropes by then, you’d shown me all I needed to know, hell I even started or ended earlier than you some days. That didn’t stop you from checking in, staring, correcting - you were getting more handsy too, not hesitant to yank me by the belt loop, or by the back of the shirt.
I couldn’t assume though. I needed to know, really know.
On hot days I’d sweat through my cotton t-shirt, strip it and work the rest of the day without it. Sometimes I’d share morning coffee with you half dressed and sleepy, and maybe I’d pull my jeans a little higher or lower than normal.
I’d be damned if that didn’t do it, and it did. You’d advert your gaze but catch glimpses before tilting your brim down and turning away. You’d lean up against a fence post and tug at your belt buckle before having to walk away. You’d always make sure to leave that lamp on a little later than normal, to cast a shadow over to my cabin.
And even as I lay here, huffing the freshly disturbed dirt on the pebbled barn floor, feeling your calloused hand gripping the back of my neck like one of your misbehaved livestock dogs, my knees digging into gravel, and hearing between blissful grunts “It’s your damn fault boy.” “You think I want to do this?” “Serves you damn right windin’ me up like this for weeks.” “I ought to teach you this lesson.” I can’t help but think this won’t be a one off. In fact, I hope it isn’t.

It created a great commotion when the Mandalorians showed up on your planet. Amidst the glam and the colors that illuminated your planet, the mercenaries stood out, and many gawked as the leader and his two top trusted companions entered the palace. You stood at the Duchess’ side, her right hand as you had been your entire life, while she explained the need for protection on your planet.
“And acting as liaison between our peoples,” she gestured to you as she introduced you by name, “She will make sure you have everything you need and keep communication between our people open.”
You stepped forward as your nerves flared; the leader was even more handsome up close. “I look forward to working with you,” you extended your hand for a shake, “And I personally want to thank you all for coming to our aid and keeping our people safe.”
“The pleasure,” the leader took your hand, but instead of shaking it, he brought it up to his lips and kissed the back of it tenderly, “Is all mine,” he gave you a wink as you felt your skin burn under his touch, “And call me Axe Woves.” Behind him, the other two equally beautiful Mandalorians rolled their eyes at his antics.
“Axe Woves,” you breathed his name as you fought to keep your composure under his gaze.
Axe smirked, “It sounds beautiful on your lips, my lady.”
“You can just call me by my name,” you repeated it back to him as your nerves felt like they set your body ablaze. And it only got worse when he echoed your name back with a small bow.
This was going to be harder than you anticipated.
*
The Mandalorians settled quickly on the outskirts of the city. They made themselves comfortable in the lush grass as they set up camp in the sunshine and fresh air. You made several trips outside the city to bring them provisions and make sure they were comfortable, and every single time you encountered Axe Woves, you left feeling flustered. You hid it well, though, and you never let it show just how much his charming smile made you weak in the knees. Somehow, however, you had the feeling he was aware of the effect he had on you.
A few weeks passed, and things were luckily quiet. When you came out for your visit, you found Axe leading a training practice. Instead of disturbing him, you decided to sit down on a crate and watch quietly. His voice was fierce as he commanded his people, but it was never harsh. You could tell he knew what he was doing, and that he cared about the safety and wellbeing of the other Mandalorians. And while you barely knew him, you had the feeling that Axe Woves was an honorable man.
And then he made eye contact with you.
“That’s enough for today,” he said to the others who quickly dispersed to rest while he strutted over to you, “Enjoy the show today, my lady?” Axe took your hand and gave the back of it a light kiss: his way of greeting you every time.
You swallowed hard before you answered, “I’d heard stories of Mandlorians, but it’s an honor to see the legends in person.”
“You are too kind, my lady,” Axe replied with a charming smile. But, you thought you caught him falter just for the briefest of moments. Was he secretly just as flustered as you were?
Breaking past the nerves, you asked a question that was on your mind for some time, “Would you teach me a few things?” you took a breath as Axe’s eyes went wide for a moment, “I’d like to know how to defend myself if the time ever came.”
Axe smiled brightly at you, “I would be honored to teach you, my lady.”
*
“Block. Block. Perry. Good!”
Sweat lined your brow as you kept up with Axe’s instructions as best you could. He started you off easy, and you could tell how much he held back so as to not hurt you. But, you picked up his tips and tricks quickly and his lessons quickly escalated.
“Find your opponent's weakness,” his smooth voice went right to your core as the adrenaline rushed through your system, “Stay sharp.”
“Got it,” you huffed as you prepared yourself for another round.
Axe came at you again with a grunt. He swung at you as gently as he could as you raised your arms and used them as a shield to block his attack. You blocked three hits before you swung back, catching him on the shoulder.
“Ouch!” you exclaimed as you rubbed your hand.
“Beskar, darling,” Axe smirked, “Toughest in the galaxy.”
You ran your eyes up and down his figure before you met his eyes again. And the satisfied grin on his face told you that he knew exactly what you were thinking. But, before you could say anything, Axe lunged at you with more force and pinned you back against the wall.
All the breath was forced out of your lungs as your back slammed against the cold wall while Axe pinned himself against you. You were trapped, but the nerves that pulsed through your veins weren’t from fear. He had never been this close to you before, and your breath trembled as you felt his exhale on your skin.
Your eyes went wide as you found yourself helpless against his strong body. And before you could stop yourself, a soft whimper escaped your lips as his leg brushed against your core. But, it wasn’t until Axe’s gaze gleaned down to your lips for a brief moment that your world really felt like it was spinning.
“Have I found your weakness, Axe Woves?” you asked breathlessly.
Axe’s grip on you softened as he breathed your name. His hand gently cradled your face as he slowly leaned in closer to you. But, just as he showed the brief moment of vulnerability, you turned the tables on him. You swung your leg around his and kicked the back of his knee, causing Axe to collapse.
In a flash, you pushed him down onto the ground and straddled his waist, “Got you,” you sounded so pleased with yourself.
“Well done, darling,” Axe grunted softly after getting the air knocked out of him, “You’re a quick learner.”
“I have a good teacher,” you replied with a wink of your own.
Axe couldn’t help the way his face lit up. But, as much as he liked the view of you on top of him, he wouldn’t admit defeat. Just as quickly as you moved, he grabbed you and flipped your bodies over so that he laid on top of you and had you pinned on the floor.
You yelped as your world flipped and you found yourself on your back with the Mandalorian on top of you. Heat rushed through your skin as he shifted his weight overtop of you and before you knew it, a soft moan escaped your lips.
“You look absolutely beautiful like this,” Axe murmured as he leaned forward, his lips hovering just over yours, “What do you think my weakness is?” he asked softly.
Caught up in a whirlwind, it took you a moment to reply, “A person who bats their eyes at you.”
He let out a heavy breath, “Not just any person…”
“Axe…”
But, before anything could progress further, the sound of someone clearing their throat called both your attention.
“Koska,” Axe exclaimed as he pushed himself off of you, “I was just showing the lady a little self defense,” he explained as he extended a hand out for you, “And she did exceptionally,” he faced you with a wink as you took his hand.
A soft smile lit up her face as she let out a short laugh, “Whatever you say,” Koska waved her hand, “You’re needed outside when you’re done,” she added before she left and gave you privacy again.
Axe looked disappointed as he helped you to your feet, “Duty calls, my lady,” he kissed the back of your hand, “Until next time then?”
You were left breathless, and you knew it wasn’t just from the sparring, “I look forward to it, Axe Woves.”
“As do I.”
*
“My lady,” the droid called from the doorway to your suite, “Axe Woves is here to see you.”
“Thank you, let him in,” you replied from the shadows deep into your suite.
The droid retreated and Axe walked past him, closing the door behind him. It was late into the evening, and the moonlight illuminated your room beautifully. But, he couldn’t quite see you from the entryway.
“You wanted to see me, my lady?” Axe asked as he stepped further into the room to look for you, “Is everything alright?” concern laced his voice as he found himself worried that something happened to you.
“Everything’s fine, Axe,” you replied as you emerged from the shadows in the back of your suite, “I just wanted to see you,” your tone dropped as you crossed the room and came into full view. You were full of nerves, but you did your best to hide it and keep the air of confidence.
Axe’s eyes went wide and his breath hitch in his throat as he took in the sight of you. “Well,” he exhaled, “What have we here?” his tone dropped as well as he closed the gap between you. He set his helmet down on a nearby table to free his hands.
You were dressed in a silvery blue robe. Only in a silvery blue robe. A very sheer robe that Axe could see your entire figure in the moonlight. And it didn’t escape his notice that your robe matched his armor almost perfectly.
“It’s just like you said,” you batted your eyes, “I wanted to see you,” your voice was hushed.
“You look lovely,” he groaned softly as he rested his hands on your hips.
Your skin felt like it was on fire under his gaze. Maker, he was so handsome in the moonlight. Even as your hands trembled, you reached for his shoulders and slowly pulled him closer. “Axe…” you breathed as you pressed your chest against his beskar. The cool of the metal contrasted the warmth of your skin and goosebumps erupted all over you.
A short laugh escaped his lips as his eyes ran up and down your figure, checking you out in a very unsubtle way, “I believe you are trying to seduce me, my lady,” his grip on your hips tightened before he ran his hands up and down your sides.
You glanced at his lips before you looked back into his eyes, “I am,” your voice was just a whisper, “I know,” you paused as the facade slipped for a moment, “I know I’m not the first, but…”
“What makes you say that?” he cut you off with a sly smirk. Axe let go of you only for a moment so he could remove his gloves. And when he grabbed you by the chin, both of you felt that jolt of electricity as skin touched skin for the first time.
You knew he knew what was on your mind, and you knew he just wanted to hear you say it. But, when Axe Woves looked at you like that, you were weak, “Because,” you paused, drawing it out for a few moments to tease him right back, “You’re the most handsome man I’ve ever met,” you let out a shaky breath when he laughed softly, “ And I don’t care about anyone else… I want you tonight.”
Axe’s response came when he crashed his lips against yours. He swallowed the moan you let out as he dove his tongue past your lips, immediately deepening the kiss. You surrendered to him as you clung to his broad shoulders and let him guide you back so that you found yourself pinned against the wall.
“Then you’ll have me,” he groaned softly against your lips, “My lady,” Axe’s voice dropped before he kissed you again. This time, his hands roamed all over your body, caressing every dip and curve as if he was trying to memorize you from touch alone. And the taste of you was already seared into his memory, and Axe found himself already addicted to you, “You taste so good, my lady.”
“Axe…”
“I’ve got you,” he groaned as he bucked his hips against your body.
Slowly, Axe hooked his fingers on the edge of your robe. But, he paused and looked you in the eye before he moved any further. You breathed heavily, your chest rising and falling with each inhale and exhale. But, you knew what he was asking even without the words needed. You knew he still just waited for your permission before going any further.
“Please,” you breathed, “I want you to.”
With a soft groan, Axe obliged and tugged gently at your robe until it opened, baring the skin of your chest to him. He let out a low growl as his eyes ran down to your chest, “Actually,” his voice was low as his eyes blew black with desire, “You look even more lovely like this.”
You gasped as he cupped your breast and his thumb flicked your nipple. Your eyes fluttered shut as you slammed your head against the wall and arched your back into his hand. Axe groaned as he shifted his leg so that his thigh rubbed against your pussy and at the same time he grabbed your other breast with his free hand.
Maker, you looked so beautiful like this, moaning and sighing under his touch. Axe knew he was smitten with you from the moment he saw you. But to see you like this, writhing with pleasure under his touch, Axe knew it would be hard for him to leave you.
“That’s a good girl,” he groaned as one of his hands trailed down the front of your body, “You feel so good already, my lady,” Axe hissed as he felt the warmth of your pussy under his palm.
The moan you let out echoed in the room as Axe pushed a finger inside you. Waves of pleasure ripped through your body just from his one finger as he crooked it inside you and instantly hit that sweet spot that drove you wild. “Fuck… Axe…” you cried out as you clung to him.
He growled your name as he slowly added a second finger inside you. For once, he had no words, and was lost in the beauty of you lost in pleasure. Your warmth engulfed him as he pumped his fingers in and out of you, his palm rubbing at your clit every time he fully buried them inside you.
Your hands ran up Axe’s shoulders and buried in his hair. Every time his fingers reached your sweet spot, you gave his hair a soft tug, making him hiss in pleasure. His cock strained between your bodies as you rocked your hips in time with the thrusts of his hand.
“Cum for me, darling,” Axe groaned as he rested his forehead against yours, “Let me see how beautiful you look when you lose control.”
“Axe…” was all you could whimper before your climax hit. You blinked your eyes open for just a moment before your entire body trembled and you came apart under his expert touch. Your scream threatened to alert the droids outside before Axe covered your mouth with his own.
“That’s a good girl,” he murmured against your lips, “And as much as I want to hear those pretty screams… I don’t want any company right now,” Axe pulled you against him as he slowly pulled his fingers out of you, “I want you all to myself,” his growled before he kissed you again.
All you could do was moan as you surrendered yourself to Axe Woves. You wrapped your arms around his shoulders as you pushed yourself off the wall and turned your bodies around, “The bed is this way,” you whispered between kisses.
“I’m at your service, my lady,” Axe grinned against you as he let you take the lead.
The two of you barely separated as you led him deeper into your suite where the bed lay. Your robe flowed around you, framing your nude figure in the moonlight beautifully. Axe wanted to keep his eyes open, to memorize every inch of you, to not miss a moment of your beauty, but he also couldn’t help but close his eyes and just enjoy the feeling of you against him.
He barely even noticed when you reached your bed until you pushed him down onto his back. You quickly climbed on top of him, straddled his waist in nothing but your bare skin and the robe that only clung to your shoulders, outlining your body.
“Got you,” you beamed at him with satisfaction.
Axe let out a soft laugh as he caressed your hips, “It appears you do, my darling.”
Your heart skipped a beat as he looked up at you. Axe looked so handsome against your silky sheets illuminated by the moonlight. Even through his armor, you could see the way his chest rose and fell with his heavy breaths. And underneath your bare cunt, you felt how hard he was; you let out a soft moan as you rocked yourself against him and you savored the hiss he let out as his back arched up towards you.
Axe whispered your name as you lifted yourself up and fumbled with his pants, desperate to free his cock. You paused and met his gaze, and when you did the universe seemed to freeze for a moment. Lost in the other's eyes, you both somehow knew that this was more than just a one night need for release. This was more than just flirting and teasing. There was more behind your eyes, behind your words, behind your actions.
But the need was too great to dwell on it right now. The moment you freed Axe’s cock, you let out a heavy breath as you stroked it a few times.
“Impressed, my lady?” Axe asked with a cocky smirk.
You mirrored his smile, “About as impressed as you are, I believe.”
“Touche,” he laughed for a moment before he gasped.
You lined yourself up with the tip of his cock and slowly started to sink down on it. Both of you moaned loudly as you took Axe inside you inch by inch. The stretch was more than you anticipated, but having cum once helped get you ready to take him. And the way Axe held you and looked up at you with pure adoration made your heart pound in your chest.
“Fuck…” you huffed as your hips met Axe’s and you leaned forward, resting your hands on his chest.
Axe took the moment to wrap his arms around you and pull you in for another heated kiss. He groaned against you when he felt you squeeze his cock. Between the feeling of your wet cunt around him and the taste of you on his tongue, something ignited within him. Axe used all his momentum and flipped your bodies over so that you laid out on your back, the robe framing your nude figure perfectly.
“Axe…”
He thrust into you once before he paused, “I lied,” he grunted as he thrust again, “Now you’ve never looked more lovely,” Axe’s breathy voice went right to your core.
“Fuck!” you cried out as you clung to his shoulders.
Axe wasted no time in pounding into you while murmuring soft praises in Mando’a in your ear. Your screams were music to his ears as he thrust into your wet pussy over and over again. Your hand found its way to the base of his scalp again and you tugged at his hair as you lost yourself in him. Tears filled your eyes as his cock filled you over and over again.
“Darling,” Axe murmured in a breathy voice. He held onto you as he thrust his hips against yours as if he was afraid of letting you go.
“I know,” you whispered.
With a grunt, Axe bit your shoulder, making you moan loudly. Both of you clung to the other as sweat lined your bodies. As he felt his own climax quickly approach, Axe snaked a hand between your bodies and rubbed at your clit.
“Cum with me, darling,” he groaned, “Let me feel you cum on my cock.”
“Fuck… Axe…” You were too lost in your pleasure to form any other words. But he didn’t have to wait long and with just a few more thrusts of his cock, you came hard.
Your scream drowned out Axe’s growl as his orgasm hit right after yours. Tears filled your eyes and your legs shook, and you felt Axe spill himself inside you as his breathing became shaky against your skin. Together you rode out both your climaxes until you were both a trembling mess.
Axe collapsed down on top of you, his warmth radiating through the beskar as he held you tightly. You whimpered as you wrapped your arms and legs around him, holding him as close as you could as his cock softened inside of you. A shiver ran up your spine as you felt his release drip from your pussy.
He must have felt it too, because Axe pushed himself up with a strained grunt, “Hold on, darling,” his voice was soft as he slowly pulled out of you with a hiss. When you whined at the loss of him, he gave you a soft look and cupped your face, “I’ve got you,” he repeated his words in a softer tone.
Axe made quick work of using the top sheet to clean you up before he laid down next to you and gathered you back in his arms once more. You both laid together in the comfortable silence for some time, as if you both knew that the world waited for both of you beyond the door and you savored the time you had together while you could.
“Axe?” you broke the silence.
“Yes, love?”
“I know you can’t stay the night,” your voice shook, “But don’t leave yet. I don’t want to feel cheap if you left now.”
You heard him let out a single laugh as he squeezed you tighter, “We don’t want that now, do we, love?” he paused, “I’m not leaving you yet.”
You let out a relieved sigh as you closed your eyes and just let the feeling of Axe’s embrace warm you. A few moments went by before you spoke again, “Do you think our people could ever be allies?”
“We both want what’s best for our people, my lady,” he replied, “But I wouldn’t say it’s out of the range of possibility.”
Silence fell over both of you again as time moved on. This time, though, it was Axe who broke it, “You were right, you know.”
“About what?”
“You weren’t the first to seduce me.”
You furrowed your brows, “Why are you telling me this?”
“Because,” he took your hand and moved it over his chest where he covered your hand with his, “You are the first to do something else…” The look in his eyes made your heart flutter as you knew what he was trying to tell you.
You let out a deep sigh as you shifted to meet his eyes, “Axe, I…”
“Wait,” he cut you off with a finger to your lips, “I know,” his gaze was sharp as his eyes bore into yours.
You knew why he didn’t want to say it. It wasn’t because he didn’t feel for you. You knew he did. You knew from his actions and the way he held you. Neither of you could stop the feelings that bloomed between you, but Axe could keep your heart safe if for some reason he never returned to you.
“I should get back to my people,” Axe reluctantly got up and grabbed his gloves and helmet. You stayed on the bed, wrapping the rode around your body as you watched him. Your heart ached, but you knew this was how things had to be. He knew it too, and he paused and looked at you longingly for a moment before he leaned forward and kissed you deeply once more. Breathing your name against your lips, Axe whispered, “I…”
You smiled sadly, “I know.”
As much as he cared for and was loyal to his people, Axe still found it hard to leave you behind. Reaching down into his boot, he pulled out a small knife and handed it to you, “I’ll be back for this… my lady…” and for my heart.
“I’ll keep it safe,” you whispered as you held the small knife against your chest.
Axe pressed his forehead against yours and both of you closed your eyes and took in a deep breath, “I have to go,” he breathed before he forced himself away from you.
“Be safe,” you called out to Axe’s retreating form.
“You too, my lady,” he turned over his shoulder before he walked out your door.
It was soon after that other Mandalorians arrived on your planet and Axe and the others left with him with the mission to retake their home planet. You only wished you had the chance to see him one more time before he left. All you were left with was his small dagger and a holo message he managed to send:
“My lady, I’m sorry to leave suddenly, but we aim to retake Mandalore and the time to move is now. I promise you though, the moment the planet is ours… the moment I’m able to return to you, I will. Until then, you have two things that belong to me, keep them safe. And I’ll tell you what I couldn’t say when I return.”
You sighed as you clutched Axe’s dagger to your chest.
*
“You miss him,” the Duchess said.
“What?!” you were brought back to the present by her voice jolting you from your thoughts.
“That handsome Mandalorian,” she clarified, “I can tell you liked him.”
“I…” you stuttered, trying to find your words, but none came to mind, “Yeah,” you finally admitted.
“Don’t worry, my dear friend,” she placed a hand on your shoulder, “I have a feeling you’ll see him again.”
“How do you know?”
“I saw the way he looked at you,” he winked, “He’ll come back to you.”
As if on cue, fanfaire blared through the elegant room and a droid announced the arrival of a Mandalorian. You looked at the Dutchess and your face lit up as the two of you made your way to the front of the crowd to greet your guest. And your heart nearly exploded from your chest when you saw Axe Woves again.
He met your gaze and smile before he announced to the room, “Mandalore belongs to Mandaloirans once more!”
Cheers erupted in the room.
“And I am here to propose an alliance with Plazir-15.”
The Duchess stepped forward, “We would welcome that, Mandaloiran Axe Woves.”
He bowed to her before his gaze fell on you.
She glanced between you and him before he spoke elegantly, “I’ll leave my trusted right hand woman to talk details with you.” She gave you a sly smile and a wink.
You felt a wave of embarrassment as she retreated back to the crowd, leaving you and Axe facing each other. You fiddled with your fingers for a moment before the emotions overwhelmed you and you launched yourself into his arms, “Axe,” you breathed as he wrapped his arms around you and held you tightly, “I was worried I’d never see you again.”
“I told you I’d come back to you once we had Mandalore,” he said in your ear, “And I have so much to tell you.”
“Well then,” you smirked, “Why don’t we go somewhere private then?”
His face lit up and he slid his hand in yours, “Lead the way… my lady.”

likely to be hit with tropical storms, hurricanes, monsons
constant singing of the cicadas as if it's always summer
scorching sun coupled with heavy rain that doesn’t appease the heat
there are no defined seasons, it’s always hot, sunny and rainy
the seas around Uzushio are very hard do navigate, it makes it hard to get to them
the island is located close to the forests of Fire Country coast, so they also have lush green vegetation in Uzushio
Architecture
houses have to be built to withstand recurring natural disasters
subterranean shelters for the tornados, though those also get flooded during the storms sometimes
heavy building materials like stone and concrete instead of wood for example, to withstand the storms
stone also helps with cooling the temperature inside the houses
streets are not paved in anyway to help with drainage, so it's nostly grass and dirt
circular and rounded buildings as a reference to the whirpool also help them withstand the strong winds
People (the Uzumaki Clan)
big chakra reserves, great lifeforce, a lot of energy, long lifespans
they are like that because they are so close in lineage to the Sage of Six Paths
during the warring states era the Uzumaki were known as the people close to the heavens and blessed by the gods
Uzumakis are mostly extroverts and fiery, like Naruto, Kushina and Karin, but Uzumakis like Mito and Nagato, that don’t follow most stereotypes still have that fire burning inside them, they won’t settle, they know what they want, are strongwilled, strongheaded, a bit stubborn and passionate, so really, it’s not because they aren’t loud mouths that they aren’t Uzumakis where it matters
big sense of community and family
even after the massacre of Uzushio, Uzumakis tried to flee together and stick together, building their communities and helping each other wherever they went
Religion & Spirituality
since they have so much chakra and are so close to the gods and the Sage of Six Paths, they're deeply religious people
tons of temples and shrines and little altars spread around the city for a variety of gods
there are small altars inside people's homes too
a lot of rituals bring the Uzushio people together, there are seasonal festivals, parties in honor of the gods, start of harvest season banquets, offerings, weekly meetings on the temple, there are several recurring events linked to temples and gods that make up for most of their social lives
because of that the city is always decorated for some sort of festivities, it’s always very bright and colorful, and even if someone doesn't worship that particular divinity or is not involved in that event, they will still go to the event and celebrate together
Economy
since they're so isolated from a geographical standpoint, trade is not big on the region
no merchant marine or trade routes established with other countries
very closed economy, meaning they had to become self sustained
a lot of farmers between them, since the climate and soil favors tropical vegetation
even if it’s an island, their economy doesn’t revolve around fishing only, because the Uzumakis like their meat, so they also have a lot of cattle, mainly pigs, goats and chicken
they are hired by different villages and people at a very expensive price because their shinobi are very skilled, and an Uzumaki shinobi is never on low demand
shinobi activity is what drives the city's economy
in second comes money from services linked to the temples such as talismans, exorcisms, blessings, burials and others
the money from shinobi missions are reverted to the civillians too, but in general there are no conflict between what civillians want and what shinobis want
Politics
the Uzukage is always chosen by combat, they must be the strongest shinobi in the village at any given time
democratic system of sorts, since at any time anyone can challenge the Uzukage, because they should be able to hold his own, otherwise, they weren't fit to rule the village any way
the challenge is always public, always in form of a battle and always needs to be accepted or you lose by default
there are no main families or branch members like the Hyugas have, the Uzumaki stand in equal footing with each other
but of course there are different groups and parties, with people trying to connect themselves with a poweful shinobi, hoping for them to achieve the position of Uzukage and do their wish
for example, when Uzushio alligned themselves with Konoha there were people in favor and against it, at the time Mito was the second strongest shinobi in Uzushio, so she chose to help strengthen the bond by marrying Hashirama
local politics are not based on blood or lineage, only in power and political opinions
regarding international affairs, Uzushio spent a lot of time defending themselves from attackers
it's mostly an easy thing for them, since Uzumakis are strong and the way to Uzushio is long and hard but there are always constant ruckus on the borders
Culture
wear a lot of traditional clothing due to their religious traditions
people refer to others by their first name, since most of the population comes from the Uzumaki clan, and also because everybody is close and not very shy
they have great handwriting from practicing writing seals and talismans so much
very wary of spirits and respectful of the desires of the land and its creatures
not afraid of ghosts, or the dark, or haunted houses, they are very serious about leading a life in harmony with all the forces at play, including spiritual ones
big on oral tradition and not so much on the written records because: first everybody knows stuff, knowledge sharing is common and encouraged, and second, the elders and professors would live very long, so they can teach the youth themselves, instead of writing it for posterity, and that’s why after Uzushio was attacked, a lot of knowledge was lost
a lot of nursery rhymes, lullabies, supersticions, old wives' tales and popular sayings are passed down to the new generations
they also read cards, stones, tea leaves, stars, palm lines, whatever there is to draw their luck on
big eaters, all that chakra and boundless energy means they need a lot of food to fuel themselves
their cuisine is all about abundance, a lot of protein and fat, always a big volume of food, a lot of seasoning, spices, condiments, and such, loud flavors
they don't focus on veggies, fruits and baking as much as i meat, warm dishes, broth, and of course lamen
they put a lot of meaning and importance in getting together for a meal, it's a core moment for the familiar and comunal lives
the city closes during lunch so everybody can go back home to have lunch with their families and/or friends and be together in quality time
festivals often have banquets or traditional dishes linked to them, along with competitions for the biggest eater, and Uzumaki are very competitive
they're also big in games: card games, mahjong, shogi, go, dominos, bocce, drinking games and so on
there are also games that are linked with specific festivals and times of the year
they're great drinkers because of their big chakra reserves
Shinobi World
shamanism and shinobi activities blur, priests and priestesses make for great shinobi and vice versa
most of the shinobi are sensors, even some civillians are sensors
specialized in sealing
focused on research knowledge about minor gods and yokais, that's why they have things like the reaper death seal and can summon shinigamis and spiritual beings
they hunt for yokais like goddamn pokemon, and the tailed beasts were just an extention of that
when Hashirama sealed Kurama in Mito, the sealing of tailed beasts were already under research by the Uzumakis and she was the one who volunteered for it, they just needed someone like Hashirama, the god of shinobi to activate the seal

Jess’ Top 22 of 2022
I decided to do a fic rec list of my 22 top fics that I read in 2022, from lots of different ships and fandoms. We’re here to celebrate the effort that fellow writers put into creating magic for us all, fanfiction is such a massive part of my life and I think it deserves to have a spotlight shone on it’s greatness.
[I limited myself to 1 fic/series per author, which was more of a challenge than I thought it would be 😂]
So in no particular order and without further ado...
Bring Him to His Knees - 245k+, Dramione, E Rated
Draco is on the case of a murderer, but to investigate, he needs a fake relationship - and a kink club play partner. When Hermione volunteers to take the role, both do their best to maintain the lie without letting each other know the truth: neither of them are acting.
Solntse - 60k+, Wolfstar, E Rated
Sirius, a young Russian billionaire hires Remus, who is working part time as a call boy to make ends meet. Things happen, feelings occur.
Did You Miss Me - 640k+, Wolfstar & Jily, E Rated
Though the new boy at Hogwarts University, James Potter, appears to be an adorable himbo with deep pockets, Remus Lupin and his friends instead find a horrifically dark past on Google. Did he really attack that boy and leave him for dead? Why won't he talk about his mysterious childhood best friend, "Pups"? Would it kill him to stop messing with his hair?
At least Remus got his phone back after losing it, but now he can't stop texting the mysterious number of the man who had sent it back. Padfoot is funny and charming, and Remus is NOT going to fall in love with him.
The PB to my J [AKA the one that converted Jess into a Wolfstar writer] - 270k+, Wolfstar, E Rated
A Modern AU Marauders texting with prose fic set at University.
Mainly Wolfstar - Will they? Won’t they? (They obviously will...) And a little bit of Jily too.
A Second Look - 120k+, Dramione, M Rated
Her best friend's life was a mess and she would have done anything to make things better for him and his sons. So, when she found her former enemy in a similar situation her heart went out to him as well... and the beautiful blond baby in his arms didn't hurt his case. It was certainly enough for her to give him a second look.
oh, I’m gonna let the future in - 40k+, Scorpius Malfoy/Albus Potter, T Rated
Al doesn’t know what he’s doing. Not just with the new apartment, but with his life in general, and it doesn't help that his family quietly looks down on him. It feels as if they’re always waiting for him to do something spectacular, but without actually expecting it of him. They’ve given up on expecting anything of him.
Al only speaks English, and he sings in the shower, badly. He likes tea, and he cleans when he’s stressed. He sees a therapist. He has a total of two friends, and one of them is his cousin. He isn’t smart; he’s simple.
He wishes that could be enough.
Brooklyn Heights Books - 180k+, Stucky, E Rated
A man wearing a light denim jacket over a dark blue shirt came into the shop, a box tucked under his right arm. Despite it being late afternoon, he was wearing sunglasses with bright blue lenses, and his long, dark hair was pulled back in a messy little bun. A few strands had escaped, framing his strong, unshaven jawline. The man looked into the café, smiled widely, and waved in Clint’s direction as he kept walking into the bookstore, and Steve’s mouth went completely dry.
Beautiful, was the only word to describe that smile; straight, white teeth framed by full, lush, red lips, bracketed by laugh lines and an adorable dimple in his right cheek, a charming little chin cleft just visible under the light stubble—Steve was struck literally speechless. And that was before he got a glimpse of the man’s backside. Slim hips and a round, firm-looking ass led to long, lean legs that were encased in snug, dark blue jeans.
“Guh,” Steve said, watching the dark-haired man continue on to the back of the store.
‘tis the damn season - 70k+, Wolfstar, T Rated
“Where are you going?”
Remus turns. Sirius looks delightful; wine-flush and December drizzle painting his pale, pretty face the deepest carmine red. His spindly hands are twiddling at his front, as if he doesn’t know quite what to do with them. He sniffs, and exhales corporeal ice that sends a shiver running down Remus’ spine. He’s not sure if it’s from the cold or the alcohol or… something else.
Clean - 115k+, Dramione, M Rated
Malfoy's handsome face was contoured into a condescending smirk. "No faith in that giant brain of yours, Granger?" She looked up at him defiantly. "Maybe I don't have faith in you!" she said, raising her voice. Malfoy only looked at her. "You'll find I'm very surprising."
Second Generation - 45k+, Wolfstar, E Rated
Remus Lupin and Sirius Black spent their late teens in a happy haze of sex, troublemaking, and playing in their band, but break up in college. But when their respective children get in trouble together more than 20 years later, Remus and Sirius find themselves at odds with their very different parenting styles and dealing with a spark that was never quite extinguished.
Dreamers - 45k+, Wolfstar, M Rated
In which Sirius did twelve years and meets Remus on a creative writing workshop.
The Searching Ceremonies - 580k+, Sterek, M Rated
Derek is being pressured by his family to pick a mate, and somehow stumbles into a choice that they didn't expect and aren't sure they approve of....
Quid Pro Quo - 105k+, Darklina, E Rated
The Slow Burn Breeding Kink Political AU
Cannibals - 20k+, Darklina, E Rated
It was very brief, the affair Alina Starkov had with her father.
Or: The Father-Daughter Incest AU
no shelter but mine - 65k+, Darklina, E Rated
“If you’re so worried about your daughter then why are you wasting your time yelling at me instead of caring for her?”
He stills. His fists clench, just once, and she can see the muscles in his jaw working, like it is taking him every ounce of will not to unhinge it, lean across the counter, and rip out her throat with his teeth.
Then he turns, without a word, and storms out the door, the tails of his black coat flying behind him like a cloak. Aleksander is in need of a nanny for his six-month-old daughter. As it so happens, Alina is the only person she likes.
Action - 20k+, Jaime Lannister/Brienne of Tarth, E Rated
Jaime’s a famous action hero. Brienne is the stunt coordinator on his latest movie. She’s hated him since the moment they met, and the feeling is mutual. But there are ways to work out their aggression.
Lost & Found - 95k+, Jon Snow/Sansa Stark, E Rated
When she realizes the husband she knew had departed, and she now had cold & hard mobster in his place, Sansa fakes her death and starts a new life in Wales.
And then Jon finds her.
It gets so hard to breathe (when you’re looking at me) - 57k+, Wolfstar, E Rated
When Sirius turns up at Remus' flat after the events at the Triwizard Tournament, he doesn't expect to find himself sharing a bed with Remus. Or getting so intimately involved in his life. Or to find out that they're mates and Remus wants nothing more than to push him up against the wall and make him forget his own name.
Or to feel so very complete.
But Sirius isn't complaining. Not one bit.
The Player’s Secret - 50k+, Wolfstar, M Rated
“So what’s he like? Full of it? Arrogant?”
“Yes,” he says, because he thinks that is a fair assessment. Sirius Black is full of it. He is arrogant. He’s also entitled and needy and smug. He’s talented, reckless, moody, selfish, childish, charming and sweet, and a million different other things Remus is trying to wrap his head around.
Sirius Black is hard work.
Remus Lupin is a successful documentary filmmaker who is assigned to make a fly-on-the-wall documentary featuring Sirius Black - one of the world's most brilliant footballers - as he competes in the European Championship.
All does not go smoothly.
The Same Way I Like My Coffee - 35k+, Jon Snow/Sansa Stark, M Rated
Sansa Stark always liked her coffee hot and sweet. She finally found a guy that makes the sentence "I like my men the same way I like my coffee" real to her.
Jon snow has no right to be that hot.
Or: Sansa opens the coffee shop of her dreams, makes great friends and meets an unbelievably hot Jon Snow.
don’t pout, darling - 70k+, Dramione, E Rated
"when's the last time you let someone take care of you?"
"no one's ever wanted to," her whisper is delicate, sharp like porcelain glass, the edges raw and tender. she is sugar-soft, a little thing tucked into his chest, ears pressed against the heart that beats for her.
"i'll take care of you, i'm always going to take care of you," he cooed. “you're my sweet girl, my baby.”
or: a modern au ddlg fic
when we kiss: mmmm, fire - 39k+, Jon Snow/Sansa Stark, E Rated
Sansa might be seeing someone casually, but thanks to Arya, Robb, and Theon, it’s Jon who’s got the inside track on how to get Sansa to take him seriously.
aka: the one where jon finds out that sansa has a daddy kink, and he uses it to seduce her away from the dating scene and into his arms, heeeey-oh!

I need help deciding which book to read next! Please help me decide, if you will. :3
Book summaries under the cut.
Red Rabbit by Alex Grecian
Sadie Grace is wanted for witchcraft, dead (or alive). And every hired gun in Kansas is out to collect the bounty on her head, including bona fide witch hunter Old Tom and his mysterious, mute ward, Rabbit.
On the road to Burden County, they’re joined by two vagabond cowboys with a strong sense of adventure – but no sense of purpose – and a recently widowed schoolteacher with nothing left to lose. As their posse grows, so too does the danger.
Racing along the drought-stricken plains in a stolen red stagecoach, they encounter monsters more wicked than witches lurking along the dusty trail. But the crew is determined to get that bounty, or die trying.
The Temps by Andrew Deyoung
Jacob Elliot doesn’t want a temporary job in the mailroom at Delphi Enterprises, but after two post-college years of unpaid internships and living in his parents’ basement, he needs the work. Then, on his first day, the unthinkable happens: toxic gas descends on a meeting in Delphi’s outdoor amphitheater, killing all the regular employees and leaving Jacob stranded inside the vast office complex.
Wandering through Delphi headquarters, Jacob finds other survivors: Lauren, the disillusioned classics major who’s now writing online personality quizzes; Swati, the fitness instructor trying to escape a toxic relationship; and Dominic, the business school student who will do almost anything to get ahead. Stranded in the wreckage of the company that employed them, the temps band together to create a miniature world that’s part spring break, part office culture—until a shocking discovery disrupts the survivors’ self-made paradise and drives them to uncover the truth about the mysterious corporation that employed them and the apocalypse that brought their world to an end.
A surprising, profound tribute to the absurdities and paranoia of modern life, The Temps is an epic exploration of survival and human connection in the digital age.
Projections by S. E. Porter
Love may last a lifetime, but in this dark historical fantasy, the bitterness of rejection endures for centuries.
As a young woman seeks vengeance on the obsessed sorcerer who murdered her because he could not have her, her murderer sends projections of himself out into the world to seek out and seduce women who will return the love she denied—or suffer mortal consequence. A lush, gothic journey across worlds full of strange characters and even stranger magic.
Sarah Porter’s adult debut explores misogyny and the soul-corrupting power of unrequited love through an enchanted lens of violence and revenge.
Black River Orchard by Chuck Wendig
It’s autumn in the town of Harrow, but something besides the season is changing there.
Because in that town there is an orchard, and in that orchard, seven most unusual trees. And from those trees grows a new sort of apple: strange, beautiful, with skin so red it’s nearly black.
Take a bite of one of these apples, and you will desire only to devour another. And another. You will become stronger. More vital. More yourself, you will believe. But then your appetite for the apples and their peculiar gifts will keep growing—and become darker.
This is what happens when the townsfolk discover the secret of the orchard. Soon it seems that everyone is consumed by an obsession with the magic of the apples . . . and what’s the harm, if it is making them all happier, more confident, more powerful?
Even if something else is buried in the orchard besides the seeds of these extraordinary trees: a bloody history whose roots reach back to the very origins of the town.
But now the leaves are falling. The days grow darker. It’s harvest time, and the town will soon reap what it has sown.
The Failures by Benjamin Liar
Welcome to the Wanderlands. A vast machine made for reasons unknown, the Wanderlands was broken long ago. First went the sky, splintering and cracking, and then very slowly, the whole machine—the whole world—began to go dark.
Meet the Failures. Following the summons of a strange dream, a scattering of adventurers, degenerates, and children find themselves drawn toward the same place: the vast underground Keep. They will discover there that they have been called for a purpose—and that purpose could be the destruction of everything they love.
The end is nigh. For below the Keep, imprisoned in the greatest cage ever built by magicians and gods, lies the buried Giant. It is the most powerful of its kind, and its purpose is the annihilation of all civilization. But any kind of power, no matter how terrible, is precious in the dimming Wanderlands, and those that crave it are making their moves.
All machines can be broken, and the final cracks are spreading. It will take only the careless actions of two cheerful monsters to tip the Wanderlands towards an endless dark...or help it find its way back to the light.

A Buyer's Guide to Houses for Sale in the Virgin Islands
Nestled in the turquoise waters of the Caribbean, the Virgin Islands beckon with their blend of tropical allure, rich history, and modern luxuries. If you've ever entertained the dream of owning a home here, you're not alone. The prospect of sun-soaked mornings, balmy evenings, and a serene island life can be irresistible. However, navigating the property market in such a unique locale requires insight. In this guide, we'll offer key points every prospective buyer should consider when looking at houses for sale in the Virgin Islands.
Tumblr media
1. Understand the Different Islands:
The Virgin Islands archipelago comprises both U.S. and British territories. From bustling St. Thomas and lush St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands to the charming Tortola and pristine Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands, each island offers a distinct experience. Decide which aligns best with your lifestyle and preferences.
2. Engage a Local Realtor:
A seasoned local real estate agent can be invaluable. They can provide insights into market trends, property values, and even nuances between neighborhoods. Additionally, they'll be abreast of listings that may not be widely advertised.
3. Factor in Total Costs:
Apart from the house price, there are additional costs like property taxes, homeowners' insurance, and possibly homeowners' association fees. In some areas, particularly in the BVI, non-residents may also encounter "alien landholding licenses" which come with their own fees.
4. Explore Financing Options:
While some international buyers opt to pay cash, financing options are available. However, mortgage processes and requirements might differ from those in the U.S. or other countries. It's advisable to consult with local banks or lending institutions early in your search.
5. Consider Resale Value:
Though you might be buying a home in the Virgin Islands for personal use, it's wise to consider its potential resale value. Properties with beach access, views, or in popular tourist areas tend to have higher appreciation.
6. Research Property Rights and Restrictions:
Both the USVI and BVI have specific regulations regarding property ownership, especially concerning beachfront properties. It's vital to be aware of any easements or public access rights associated with a potential home.
7. Be Patient with the Process:
Buying property in the Virgin Islands might take longer than you're accustomed to, given the thorough title searches and potential bureaucratic hurdles. Be prepared for a process that might extend several months.
8. Conduct a Thorough Inspection:
Given the region's susceptibility to tropical storms, ensure any house you're considering has been well-maintained and is structurally sound. It's worth hiring a professional to inspect the property, checking for any storm damage or issues that might not be immediately visible.
9. Reflect on Lifestyle Needs:
Think about your long-term plans. If you're considering making the Virgin Islands your permanent residence, consider proximity to amenities, healthcare, and other essential services. However, if it's a vacation home, focus on factors that maximize relaxation and recreation.
10. Legal Consultation is Key:
Before finalizing any purchase, consult with a local attorney familiar with Virgin Islands real estate law. They can ensure all legalities are addressed, from confirming the legitimacy of property titles to ensuring you're aware of all rights and responsibilities associated with the property.
In Conclusion:
Purchasing a house in the Virgin Islands can be the realization of a dream. While the process might seem daunting, armed with the right information and a team of local experts, it becomes more manageable. With diligence and patience, you can find your slice of paradise in this Caribbean haven.

The Bad Batch: Tech and Vel [Part 5]
A fun action/adventure/romance with Tech and an original character, set during the Clone Wars. Rated PG-13 for passion and peril. ;) And just a heads up -- so far, it's got about 27 parts, and I anticipate about 30-32. It kinda got away from me. ;)
Also, I did my best to keep a steady plot line and tried to think of all the potential plot holes or questions or whatnot, but ultimately, this was just an excuse to indulge in imagining a little romantic adventure for Tech. So forgive any inconsistencies or inaccuracies and enjoy the ride. ;)
(STORY IS BELOW THE PHOTO) Also, I'll publish the rest on Wattpad for those of you who want to read it all at once. But I probably won't finish it til the end of the month; want to see how Season 2 ends!
The Bad Batch: Tech and Vel - CT-9902 - Wattpad
Tumblr media
Another mission, another risky departure. This time, the hyperdrive wasn't working, and as a last resort, Tech asked Vel for help. Once again, she came through, in another impossible situation. The team was amazed at her mechanical knowledge. As soon as they had a break between missions, though, they had their orders to drop her off. But she had so much knowledge. All mechanical, delivered dryly and peppered with laments about her now-useless status to both the Bounty Hunter's Guild and the Jedi Order. After much deliberation, the team asked her to stay, as a ship mechanic, until she decided where she wanted to go.
At this point, it had been long enough that she agreed, having grown accustomed to the ship's little nuances and quirks. But it came with one stipulation: she wasn't to be a prisoner anymore. She had no reason to turn against them anymore, and she was grateful for their help, though still hopelessly jaded about her future and resentful about her past.
She was fashioned some makeshift quarters in the hold, still dark but better than bars and a stark cell. She had no personal items except a pouch with some credits, a basic medpack, and the multi-use weapon that Crosshair had relieved her of upon her capture, and that was not in her possession just yet. The ship was under constant need of repair or maintenance, so she worked frequently alongside Tech primarily, as well as the others, depending on what was needed. She was quiet and efficient, grateful for the lack of conversation when she assisted Hunter or Crosshair and chagrined at the constant questions and thoughts that accompanied any project with Wrecker.
Tech, however, was hard to discern. He spoke factually, only when needed and immediately applicable. He did sometimes tend to explain a single topic in far too much detail, but she found it preferable to any questions or conversation directed at her, so didn't make any effort to stop it. She found her interests piqued at his different approaches to certain processes.
They spoke of past missions, of their childhoods and experiences. Vel divulged bits and pieces here and there, and Tech began constructing a mental map of her story. Born on a lush forest planet, she was taken to the Jedi temple as a youngling when her Force abilities had surfaced, but throughout the Padawan training, it became painfully apparent that she was insufficient.
"Diplomatically dismissed," Vel said, rolling her eyes and waving the spanner in front of her, "Although I'd just call it what it is -- I wasn't good enough."
Tech remained silent, considering the ramifications. He was laying flat underneath a control panel, welding some rough edges, while she rerouted the wires to avoid damaging them. "So I went back to my dad, but he had moved to Corellia," she continued. "He tried to hide his disappointment but it was apparent. So he thought he could make me the best mechanic in the shipyard instead. He hired me out as an apprentice to every specialist he could find. I worked during the day and studied in the evenings." "It sounds intensive," Tech responded, momentarily pausing from the flying sparks in front of him. "He was trying to do whatever he could to make me useful," Vel answered, her voice tight to conceal the deep pain. Tech remained silent, keeping his thoughts to himself, partially due to the emotional precision required and partially due to the discomfort of the situation. He lifted the face shield to rest atop his head, patiently waiting for any further revelation.
"Anyway," Vel continued, clearing her throat and regaining an air of carelessness, "It was never enough. I made him so much money, got him known throughout the system for ship modifications, but I made one small mistake on a Techno Union transport, and he kicked me out."
She shared the story factually, as if it meant nothing to her, but the constriction in her throat was unmistakable. "His own daughter -- imagine that," she said, returning to her work with a clenched jaw.
Tech felt deeply unsettled, not having much training on this sort of situation. He racked his brain, searching through the literature and studies, before settling on his best attempt at encouragement: "The hardcell-class interstellar transport was a notoriously unique model, especially since it did not use conventional repulsorlifts for flight but opted for--"
"--rocket propulsion for atmospheric and stellar travel," Vel interrupted, "I know... Now."
"Ah," was his only response. He regarded her for a moment, and considered returning to his welding, but felt a compulsion to try again. He considered what she had shared, noting her body language, and decided on a different approach.
"I am sorry that your father failed to exhibit the loyalty one would traditionally expect from a birth parent," Tech said. "I would posit that it had more to do with his own ethical shortcomings than your perceived incompetence. If I had been born in the traditional human method, I would likely feel similarly disenfranchised by a lack of a secure attachment."
