My personal hot take for BG3 is that I see the appeal that Astarion has but personally he’s far too mean for me to get into him and the fan base surrounding him makes turns me off from him so much.

#I could go into detail #about how a lot of a station fans #put gal and wyll characteristics #onto Astarion #just because they like that he’s their sexy little vampire bf #but I won’t #I just can’t get into him #especially when I have to be mean #and evil #much prefer just going through his story #as a friend #but more power to everyone else I guess #also side not #I saw earlier this morning about how people call Gale #an abuser and manipulator and narcissist #but then sign praises for Astarion who manipulated Tav #but also become an abuser and narcissist when you let him ascend #(which btw a lot of people like and romanticize the abusive relationship)#(he has with tab after that)#anyway #what do I know #I haven’t even finished the game #I love Gale and Wyll tho #I like Astarion too #does this count as #fandom discourse #probably #but it’s honestly my opinion #that means nothing to anyone else #and shouldn’t mean anything to anyone else
