"ueueue if you block roads with your protests you give your cause a bad name" what the fuck is even that argument, this is literally the basis of demonstration free speech. It doesn't badly reflect on the cause, it just brings attention to it, which is the point of a protest. the people complaining should be glad people aren't setting things on fire because god knows it would be warranted to do so.

#as a french person everytime i see discourses about basic form of protests i feel so eerie #like this is the actual culture clash for me #blocking streets to show disappointment is the BASIS of protest #'reflect badly on the cause' no it doesn't. fuck off. this is literally just the begining of a conversation.#anyway i'm pro protest and re last post i think i'm clear where i stand there anyway #but this bewilder me everytime #ichatalks #also don't get me wrong France as a whole isn't being better in term of the current issues going on #(well depends on the city really but considering the gov is the one making the decisions if they don't bend it it doesn't matter as much)#what i mean is that the culture around protesting means that at least blocking a road is like. normal there.#regardless of how the gov might feel about the issue being protested on here.#but yeah after how the latest protests in Paris ended with the city on fire this just gets me like #god why are people complaining about blocking streets they should be GLAD the city isn't on fire.#also im not vaguing prev post im vaguing the ppl prev post is rightfully dunking on jswc
