THE SIMS 4: BARBIE Legacy Challenge!

oh hi there! i haven't posted here in a while, but i just watched the barbie movie a few days ago and needless to say, it is now my entire personality. so here's my first ever legacy challenge based on barbie's many, many careers and achievements!

apologies in advance, this challenge uses a lot of packs! i'm sorry! i might try to make a base game version at some point

All heirs must be female and named Barbie. (non-heir children may have any name)

You may use the freerealestate cheat for your first house, but try not to use money cheats after that!

A Voice Like Honey - Kang Dae-Ho x Fem!Reader

Synopsis: Kang Dae-Ho doesn’t want to follow in his father’s footsteps. After running from the life his father had planned for him, he meets you. But he can’t seem to find the words to tell you how he feels

Kang Dae-Ho had always been more of a lover than a fighter. He’d never enjoyed playing Call of Duty or watching violent movies like his friends did. He always steered clear of the fights that broke out in school, or the rough games kids played in the schoolyard. He was scared of pretty much everything - the dark, snakes, spiders, the feeling of going upstairs and thinking someone or something is chasing after you. Dae-Ho would rather sit and daydream all day, and spent many a day dreaming about the life he’d lead one day. he was a talented musician, able to play any song after hearing it only once. His voice was like soft, warm caramel, and he was never short of girls hanging onto his every lyric.

But the life of an artist wasn’t the life his dad had in mind for him. He was a proud army veteran and had served his country for many years, just as his father had, and his father before him. Dae-Ho was the only son he had, and his father expected, or rather insisted that Dae-Ho follow in his father’s footsteps. A musician was no life for his son, and it would be the greatest dishonour to be made a fool of.

So Dae-Ho enlisted for his mandatory service in the military as soon as he left school. He thought that’s what his father wanted. He figured that after he’d served his duty to his country, he’d be free to pursue music. Dae-Ho hated his time in the military. The sound of gunfire terrified him, the late nights and early mornings, the extreme physical toughness almost broke him. But he father expected more, expected him to carry on once his mandatory service was over. Every day he would press leaflets and phone numbers into his son’s hands, send him advertisements for open days with the army and marines. Dae-Ho had never been able to stand up to his tyrant of a father, so he begrudgingly attended an interview with the marines. He was cleared for basic training, and his father was over the moon. But Dae-Ho couldn’t do it. The thought of returning to a place that still gave him nightmares was more than he could take. Instead of enlisting, Dae-Ho packed his bag and ran. He had money saved up, and he wanted to see the world.

He started in America, then moved to Europe, staying over in hostels and motels. He made lifelong friends, played his music in pubs and bars in tiny towns and villages. He grew his hair, tattooed his body, did everything he knew his father would disapprove of. When his money began to dwindle, he returned to Seoul, taking up a job in a bar that allowed him to sing a few nights a week. It didn’t make him much money, but it made him happy.

The bar was where he met you, another fellow songwriter with a voice like honey. He got lost in your words, your voice carrying him on a wave of emotion he’d never felt before. You sang together a few times, your voices in perfect harmony as your double act packed out the bar.

Dae-Ho had been with his fair share of women while travelling, but none of them made him feel like you did. He was like a nervous schoolboy around you, tripping over his words. But when the two of you sang, it was like you were made for each other. Each night, he tried to gather the courage to ask you out. He would walk you to your apartment, but could never seem to find the words to express his feelings.

You were perfect in every way, but Dae-Ho had always been a coward. He was too scared to tell his dad why he ran away, and he was too scared to tell you how he felt. He hadn’t spoken to his family in 18 months, too terrified to face them after disappointing them so badly. So he spent his nights at the bar, singing and serving drinks, and watching the woman with the voice of an angel, wondering when he’d be brave enough to bare his soul to her.

A. has lightly freckled ivory skin and grey-blue eyes, in similar fashion to their siblings. Their hair is a dark-ish auburn and messily cut to the top of their ears (fem A. has it similarly messy, however it falls to their chin in choppy waves)

K. Valiev ; Kostya - Katja / the head guard / m/f

An odd figure, unassuming, almost strangely approachable. They are quiet, and kind, and always smiling...so why do the older guards seem terrified of them?

K. is an olive skinned individual with a small scar running up over the right side of the jaw, and their eyes are dark brown. Their hair is a chestnut brown and is kept in tight curls, though they occasionally braid them (when they have time).

A. Caras ; Altair - Arali / the royal physician / m/f

Their bedside manner leaves much to be desired, they are no nonsense to the point of being borderline rude, yet the whole palace sings their praise as though they are an angel (you don't see it, personally, but maybe you will eventually).

A. is an individual with vitiligo, leaving patches of their naturally sienna skin instead a pale ivory, as well as whitening some strands of their fringe. Their eyes are a bright green, and their honey blond curls are kept short (fem A. has longer curls, around chest length, that she keeps up in a ponytail for work).

T. Bellefleur ; Talbot - Tallis / the middle royal / m/f

The younger, but not youngest, sibling to the crown royal. They don't like you much (then again they don't like many people much), but you're not sure about that knowing glint in their eye when you interact— what do they see in you?

T. has heavily freckled beige skin and almost eerily pale blue eyes. Their hair is a fiery auburn and cut into a messy undercut (fem T. has shoulder length hair, covering an undercut at the back).

M. Serrel ; Marin / your fellow assassin / nb

You had to do a double-take when you saw them, and so did they, it seemed someone wanted you two in the palace at the same time...but why?

Marin is a sienna skinned individual, with hazel eyes (on the greener side) and almost black-brown hair. Their hair just brushes their shoulders in length and falls in soft waves, though they quite often have it pulled into a half up bun/ponytail.

Barbie has been around since 1959 till now ( 7 generations ) , And adding decades and Barbie lore to the Sims 4 as a challenge would be fun!

OMGGGG OMGGG WHERE DO I EVEN BEGINNNN OK FIRST THINGS FIRST YES I AM ALIVE - THAT WAASSS AMAZING 🥹🥹🥹 OH MYYY I AM ALREADY IN LOVE WITTH OUR BABIESSS. 😍😍😍

You know a teeny tiny part of me was kind of scared that Rakmut would remind me so much of Paisky becoz they have been a huge part of my life since the beginning but that was so not the case yes there were certain scenes that did remind me of them but overall Fortpeat was phenomenal in bringing these two characters to life flawlessly. And yes we only have one episode but for me what we got was plenty good to understand their characters a lot more 🥹🥹

Let's start with Mahasamut 😍

MY GOD HIS ENTRANCE 🫠🫠 woww... As a fellow Ocean / marine life lover I can say that Mahasamut's entry while he's doing what's he passionate about took my breath away and yes his shirtless scene also took my breath away 🫠🫠 obviously. Thank you MMY for the slow mo hair flip and saving me from doing it again 🤣 with what we got his relationship with Palm I like how they are like siblings 🤭 I really want to know more.

He is such a puppy I mean come on look at that smile... I am melting here. Also these smiles clearly shows his younger side and it's Soo cuteee 😍😍 I want to see more also I LOVEEE HOW HE IS HELL BENT ON ANNOYING TONGRAK 🤣🤣 it's interesting to see how it's portrayed that nothing effects him and that all the comments that Tongrak throws his away is brushed off easily coz I have a feeling that we will be seeing more into that 👀👀

This man's prettiness knows no bounds 😍😍 each and every single outfit that he had on this episode was just wow... I was drooling .... 🙏🙏 Let me worship you Tongrak HOW CAN SOMEONE BE THIS PRETTY 🤣 ALSO EVERYTIME TONGRAK WAS COMPARED TO A KITTEN I WAS DYING 🤣🤣🤣 He is portrayed as rich but lonely who obviously doesn't admit it. He is definitely attracted to Mahasamut but won't admit it which makes me want him to be the first one to cave in the tug of desire war 🤣🤣 PLEASEEEE 🙏🙏 Rak definitely knows what he wants and I don't think he is someone who backs aways from getting it but interestingly with Mut he would play hard to get obviously since he "hates" Mut 🤭🤭

You and Sasappis lay on the lawn of the Woodstone estate on a particularly warm summer’s day. The wind blew just right through the grass and over the two of you. You kept your eyes closed as you embraced the sun.

“Sasappis, friend, did you often find yourself bathing in the sun during your lifetime?” you asked.

“Not often,” he said, “I was usually doing something to help my family or tribe.”

You hummed, “Neither did I. Ever the eligible bachelor, I was oft up late in the night, sleeping the day away or keeping indoors. I so wish I had spent some time to warm my living flesh.”

Sasappis turned his head to look at you, “Did you enjoy partying?”

“Why yes,” you said, “The attention was magnificent. I would visit the city to visit the parties and meet the ladies out on the market. In the marriage market, when a woman came of age to be wed, her parents would doll her up and introduce her to the proper men. I would bask in their eyes, but I was not looking to be tied down. Nor did I let a young lady believe she had caught my attention. It was a pity to see them heartbroken. Oh but truth be told, if I had my way, I would have stayed unmarried for my life, my long life, and lived with my good friend Leonard.”

“Leonard?” Sasappis asked.

“He was a handsome fellow. I never went too long without finding his company, nor did I ever dare to attend a party without him. He held my hand when my heart failed me the night, from all of the cocaine he and I did before the party, I died in the manor.”

“I remember him,” Sas said, “He looked heartbroken.”

“He was my closest friend. I suppose we could have been lovers in another era… I hope he lived a long and happy life. I hope he managed to escape the draft for the Great War and live in a big house with lots of money and people who loved him.”

“Do you miss him?”

“In a sense,” you said, “I miss him fondly, but my heart does not break over him anymore. I have made a new life, afterlife, I suppose, here. I have friends and a new fancy.”

“Really?” Sasappis sat up, “Who?”

You laughed and sat up too.

“Why Sasappis, you, of course.”

“Me? Why me?”

“I thought you had noticed that I dedicated a vast majority of my time following you around for nearly the past 25 years,” you said, “You make me laugh and smile, you are a joy to be around, you always find a way to fill your day with entertainment. Sasappis… I am so enamored by you. Tell me your heart beats the same way.”

You took his hand in your gloved hand, holding it gingerly as you looked at him in earnest.

“I, I didn’t realize you felt the same way about me, Y/N,” he said, “All this time I thought you were… more like an Edwardian-era Trevor-type.”

“Oh please,” you laughed, “Trevor and I may be similar in manner but we do not have the same type.” You stopped as his words finished marinating in your ears, “You do?”

You threw yourself over Sasappis to embrace him. The two of your rolled a few times before stopping beside each other.

“Sasappis, my story-teller, where should I begin?” you asked, “With my more recent soul-crushing heart-throbbing feelings? When I realized I love you? Or the moment when I woke from ym cocaine crash out and laid my eyes on you?”

“Start from the beginning,” Sasappis said, “I want to hear it all.”

You cleared your throat, “The night was December 23, 1911. It was snowing outside, and I had just taken the very last of my cocaine. I do wish I had kept my backup tin on me, then, we might have been able to get high in the afterlife. Alas, I have just taken my last bit of cocaine. I was going back down the stairs to rejoin the party when I felt my heart seize up. I blacked out, and when I opened my eyes, standing over my corpse, I saw you. There you were, smoldering gaze and luscious long hair, standing at the top of the stairs. There were other people with you, but I only remembered the way I felt I must be in heaven to see a man so dapper waiting to greet me…”

13. Name one thing their parents taught them

The idea that love, true love, is an unwavering commitment. Some of this comes from his parents directly, and some of it comes from Frost after their death, but Bev’s idea of love and attachment as something iron clad and unbreakable and uncompromising, be that towards his work & the machine or towards B is very based in his parents… lasting effects, let’s say. Love isn't something that can be backed out of, or taken away. It will continue past reason, past death, past everything we understand, and it will be cherished as it tears you apart. Also, the pyromania. That’s Isobel’s fault.

Isobel Beverley:

28. Would they date a fixer-upper?

Debatably, everyone this woman has ever dated count as fixer-uppers, and I feel like that trend holds for the worst possible reason. The fact is, it’s easier to get the uncompromisable, oathsworn dedication that Isobel considers love when you can ‘help’ someone put themselves back together. Getting people to rely on you and your comfort/guidance is just part of the play, so… yes very much so she would (run run run).

29. What recurring dreams do they have?

Isobel often dreams of the accident that heavily damaged her sight, a dream that almost always progresses the same way. The gears of the machine, fellow mechanics yelling from far below. Being so high up in the clockwork, the Geode sparkled like a jewel on the horizon. The bite of hot metallic ladder rugs under her hands. The smell of grease and burning hair. A hiss of steam. Then, the vaguest silhouette of a woman, and nothing but light.

Vincent Beverley:

14. Would they agree with the term ‘guilty pleasure’? Do they have any?

Vincent understands the term on a general level, and understands why people would have them, but I don’t think there’s anything he’d really feel embarrassed about in that way! In terms of general indulgences, Vincent considers actually getting invested in the lives of the people he recruits something of a guilty pleasure, in a sense. Like, don’t get me wrong, he does act as a shoulder to cry on in order to lure people into the New Sequence, but if there’s crazy family drama going on he will be eating up the gossip like it’s his soap opera internally. Isobel does hear all about his favorites when he gets home, but she does not share his passion for gossip :(

26. Talent or effort?

In Vincent’s eyes, talent and effort are pretty much interchangeable at a certain point, but he’d put more stock in effort if he had to choose.

Laurence Frost:

22. Do they like being called pet names? Do they call other people pet names? What’s their go-to?

“Why did my father call you babygirl?” “Why don’t we stop talking for a while.”

Frost does like pet names and it’s something that most people couldn’t get out of him at gun point. He’s mortally embarrassed by it, but there’s something very intimate and special about pet names in his eyes, a name only for your closest people to whisper. I cannot stress to you the level of torture you would need to subject this man to before he confessed this fact out loud. His go-to name would probably be some variant on “love/lover”, but eventually he’d pick something more personal. You could use this information to blackmail him.

25. Safety or possibility?

Hmmm… for a lot of his life, the safe choices Frost has had have been pretty miserable. Stay with his father, trust in his commander, stay in the Marines… and each time he’s chosen to escape on a daring, somewhat outlandish plan. Now though, what he considers safe is his position on the Grand Geode - and that’s ideal for him. So I’d say his position on this one’s flipped over time.

hello!! i was wondering if i could get a ROTTMNT character match up (when ur free and got the time!!)??

i go by many many online names, but usually i stick with sandra! i'm southeast asian, 5'2, and gender non conforming. i got black hair that's in a medium-length butterfly haircut and i usually dress up in a soft-grunge style (i don't have a specific style in reality, too indecisive for that rip).

i have audhd, and find it hard to open up to people. when i have an interest, it's usually really intense! marine biology, certain video game franchises, tv shows, music, the arts—i'm super passionate about all of them and find myself infodumping if i dont catch myself. i keep to myself the majority of the time, but when i open up to people that i believe i can trust, i'm usually described as energetic and very active!

dancing, singing, playing music, and drawing are my main go-to hobbies. especially music—i know how to play the piano, violin, cello, bass, and guitar! the last two are self-taught, but i got a few years under my belt :D

i'm an esfp, and i love listening to people talk about their passions and their love for whatever it is. i'm dramatic and love doing things for shits and giggles (for the plot yk), but i'm bad at recognising and understanding other people's feelings at times. i'm horrendous at comforting others and i can not read between the lines for the life of me.

GENERAL IDEA

A choice-based romantic drama along the lines of “Detroit: Become Human” and “Life is Strange”.

You play as Demetrius Davids (voiced and mo-capped by Michael B. Jordan), a successful lawyer living in Seattle, Washington. At the start of the game, Demetrius ends his 5-year relationship with his girlfriend, Tanisha Wallace, over irreconcilable differences. The two then have a falling out which leads to Demetrius cutting Tanisha out of his life.

Six years later, depending on the player’s choice, Demetrius’ life can be in either one of four places:

1) Married to Dominique Wells, a fellow lawyer who is dealing with her deeply problematic brother, Lamar.

2) Married to Amy Potter, a florist and single mother who won full custody over her children from her abusive ex-lover Dylan.

3) Married to Joy Chang, a news reporter whose first husband, Jason, had supposedly died in a plane crash while serving as a Marine stationed in Afghanistan.

4) Married to Eduardo Cruz, a rising actor in Hollywood who is dealing with behind-the-scenes drama with his agent, Carlos.

Demetrius is happy in either of these relationships and things seem to be going well for him…until Tanisha returns to the fold. As the two exes grapple with their complicated past, Demetrius also learns that not all is right with his current marriage. There are secrets all over and it’ll be up to the player to figure out what those secrets are and how Demetrius will react.

Basically, you’re in charge of this dark, sexy romance movie that could end in either happiness or despair for our main hero and everyone else involved.

WAYS THAT THE STORY CAN BRANCH OUT

* Players can start a toxic love affair with Tanisha. Obviously, this won’t end well, but for players looking for a juicy, drama-filled story, this is one path to take. Players who don’t get involved with Tanisha will still have to deal with her as she plots your downfall with Demetrius’ other enemies (see below). Either way, Tanisha can either be an ally or a villain as you deal with the other major problems in Demetrius’ life (see below).

* Players who married Dominique will have to choose whether or not they will get on Lamar’s good side or bad side. Befriending Lamar will lead to him dragging Demetrius into his destructive schemes. Antagonizing Lamar will put Demetrius in danger as Lamar will be gunning for him.

* Players who married Amy will be harassed by Dylan, who wants full custody over their children. Dylan can be dealt with in many ways, such as directly getting him killed, framing him for a crime, or talking with him to reach an understanding.

* Players who married Joy will eventually learn that her supposedly-dead husband Jason is actually alive. Jason will want his wife back, so it’s up to the player to either fight him or be reasonable. Also, your choices will determine whether Joy stays with Demetrius or leaves him for Jason.

* Players who married Eduardo will eventually learn that Eduardo’s agent Carlos is blackmailing them for profit. The player will have multiple ways to deal with Carlos, such as outsmarting him or just straight up killing him. The worst ending would be Carlos leaking the dirt he has on Demetrius and Eduardo, thus ruining them for life.

Jaime’s story losing his hand in A Storm of Swords is effectively Samuel Coleridge’s long narrative poem “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.” The poem follows an old sailor telling a tale to a random stranger about his trials after impulsively killing a friendly albatross his ship had come upon when trapped in ice. Jaime’s journey follows after killing Aerys, his noted sin among Westerosi society. However, at the start of the series, Jaime had impulsively pushed a child out the window at Winterfell, a sin akin to killing the innocent seabird. Both their acts change the course of their lives.

His actions mark him as a cursed man while his crew’s condoning of that action end up cursing them as well. Robert and House Lannister condone Jaime’s action of killing Aerys and the murder of Rhaegar’s children by Tywin. 

The Mariner’s sin results in him and his crew being cursed, and Jaime’s actions result in himself, the kings he raised up and his family being cursed.  The crew dies condemned as a result while Robert is gored by a boar, Tywin is killed on the privy by his son, Cersei and Jaime’s kids are fated to die and House Lannister’s regime is doomed to fall.

Like the Mariner, Jaime carries the hand he used to kill Aerys and push Bran out a window as an albatross around his neck. The people he remembers from when he was inducted into the Kingsguard are all dead while he lives in agony both literal in the pain from losing his hand and figurative with the turmoil and marginalization from being labeled “Kingslayer.” 

The Mariner found himself in “life in death.” He is stranded on a cursed ship alone, having lost God’s grace to the point he cannot pray and seemingly hopeless. Jaime himself felt truly alone after killing Aerys. He couldn’t confide in anyone, not his fellow brothers of the Kingsguard nor even his sister-lover Cersei or his brother Tyrion. His act of kingslaying isolated him.

'O shrieve me, shrieve me, holy man!' The Hermit crossed his brow. 'Say quick,' quoth he, 'I bid thee say— What manner of man art thou?' Forthwith this frame of mine was wrenched With a woful agony, Which forced me to begin my tale; And then it left me free.

The Mariner confesses to a Hermit on his journey home, and in doing so relieves him of his guilt. Jaime ultimately feels compelled to tell his story to another like the Mariner does, and tells his story behind killing Aerys to Brienne.

"Blue is a good color on you, my lady," Jaime observed. "It goes well with your eyes." She does have astonishing eyes.

What allows the Mariner to gain salvation is by “blessing unaware” the creatures he originally derided as “slimy,” recognizing the beauty in them. Jaime sees the beauty and worth in the woman he originally derided as “ugly” and “stupid,” thinking she has beautiful eyes, gives her his Valyrian sword and goes in to rescue her at risk to his own life like a knight rescuing a fair maiden in a song.

aoife is apart of the Straw Hats and was born on an island called The Isle of Dolls, all of the people who are native to The Isle of Dolls are some kind of doll! aoife is a balljointed marionette (hence her surname).

there's all different types of dolls though, plastic, porcelain, silicone, very rarely are dolls mostly human—but aoife is one of the mostly human dolls. this means that they have flesh, organs, blood and reproductive organs like people but they have doll-like features, for aoife this means that all of her joints are balljointed and can only move in the ways that a balljointed doll can.

she joined the strawhats when she was 18 after she escapes being a slave to the world government. when aoife was 8 her island was attacked by both pirates and marines to kidnap dolls and steal resources from the island. during the war that breaks out due to the conflict aoife loses her family and becomes orphaned. during her solitude she is forced to fend for herself, before she turns 9 she ends up stumbling upon an abandoned pirate ship whilst she is starving and steals a crate of fruits which she later discovers are devil fruits.

she accidentally eats two of these fruits, not knowing what they are. one is called the BunBun fruit; the basics of this fruit is it turns the user into a rabbit-hybrid. the second is called the MerMer fruit (aka the SeaSea fruit), it is an incredibly rare devil fruit that grants the user the ability to swim and breathe underwater, however it does have unique drawbacks so it isn't some super invincible devil fruit that gives you the ability the others take away. i can go in depth about how they both work in another post if you'd like :)

after she eats these fruits she is kidnapped by the world government and is a slave until she's 18 where she escapes, she has a very brief stint as a musical artist under a pseudonym, dollface, before she joins the straw hats!

it's on luffy's crew where she meets law, following the anime series canon timeline. i'm not 100% when on this timeline that she joins the heart pirates, but she grows close to law during the 2 year time skip as kuma sends her to an island that the heart pirates happen to be visiting and they recognize aoife, taking her in temporarily until she can return to the strawhats!

i may write a full, multi-chaptered fic of aoife's life before and during her life with the strawhats, but i'm not sure if i will.
