Since the time and before you came to blue lock, you were always too full of yourself.

Thinking you were the most perfect and prettiest guy here.

Your teammates have told you to stop bragging and stuff like that, but of course, you never listened and just taunted them.

Of course, they couldn’t disagree you were handsome so that usually made them keep their mouths shut.

At some point after a match, you were talking to one of your teammates till you looked to your left.

Seeing someone with long black hair and a beautiful face made you look away before looking back again quickly. He had also spotted you and had the same shocked/surprised look.

Both of you had the same thought, how could one be prettier than the other? “I like your hair!” You shouted at him from nearly across the field.

“Thank you!! I like your eyes!” He shouted back making your cheeks form a light blush.

“Date me!” He shouted again catching you by surprise. “Ok! What’s your name?!” “Aryu! And you?” “Y/n!” And so things went from there even though the two of you just had met, it was meant to be just like in those old fairytales.

Of course, both of your teammates were just done with you and Aryu’s shit and dragged you both away from each other.

Hoyoverse has finally released their new game, Honkai Star Rail. You’ve been eagerly awaiting this moment for the past two years. You’ve fallen in love with the male characters in the game because they’re hot. It’s as simple as that, really. It seems like you’ve been playing the game for far too long, and your boyfriend is needy for your attention.

“Damn, he’s so attractive! I can’t believe a man from a game could be this pretty!” you exclaimed, turning back to see your boyfriend’s curious and amused expression.

He couldn’t help but frown before pulling you off the chair and rushing you to your shared bed. He pinned you onto the bed and kissed your lips.

“I’m way better than him,” he pouted, looking down at your prone form, your face flushed with red, and avoiding his gaze. “Plus, I’m real and can give you every ounce of my love and affection,” he stated, kissing down your neck before finally lying beside you, guiding your body towards him and holding you tight, refusing to let you go.

“Okay, I get it!” you struggled in his grasp, but he wouldn't release you. “Hmm? Then why don’t you show me, angel?” he teased. You could only blush and stutter in response before he leaned in to kiss you and showered you with all the love that those stupid game characters can’t give you.

“Okay, no more of that, please!” you shyly said in a slightly loud voice. “Are you shy, sweetheart? You weren’t so shy last night,” he continued teasingly before being smacked on the head.

chapter 6: villain

Hey, everyone. I just wanted to clarify a few things:

1. Although [name] sort of dislikes yoga/other hobbies that require movements that focus on balance, they also kind of like them because they struggle with it. It makes them feel normal.

2. [name] tends to struggle with balance related things a lot.

3. I wanted to point out that [name] does have some flaws--they're not perfect and they're going to develop throughout the story. 

4. [name] is gn but they are currently referred to as 'he' by other players in the story because they are disguised as their best friend, who is male.

        "Kankucho." Someone called. The person in question only rolled their body over, mumbling to themselves.

        "Kankucho." The voice tried again, and you suddenly got a whiff of berry and floral scents. Your stomach grumbled at the former, and your eyes shot open. Aryu leaned over your head, nudging you. His hair dropped, forming a curtain around his face as he called your name out again. Once he realized that you were awake, he slightly grinned at you before speaking loudly. "Hey, you need to get up if you want to eat breakfast."

        And you, having just woken up, blurted out the first thing that came to mind. "Your hair smells nice."

        The long-haired boy kicked you out of your bed.

        You groaned as you stepped into the cafeteria, rubbing the bruise that was already forming on your hip. Stupid pretty boy and his stupid good smelling hair. 

        Next to you, Aryu hummed a tune quietly, and you faintly wondered why he wasn't as talkative as he usually was. You debated asking him about it but decided against it; you didn't want to rub on something that was already bothering him. You searched around the large room for the table Tokimitsu was sitting at, spotting him before tugging on Aryu's shirt. 

        "Hey, let's get our food first and then go sit with Tokimitsu." Aryu stared at your hand that was holding onto his shirt, and you let go once you noticed he was staring. The boy nodded at your suggestion before he swiftly started strutting to the food dispenser. You jogged slightly to catch up with his fast pace, sweat dropping on how focused he was on his food once he got his tray.

        You arrived quickly at the table Tokimitsu was sitting at, both you and Aryu greeting him tiredly. The shy boy greeted you both back with the same energy. You sat down, scarfing down your food as fast as you could, and the other boys could only deadpan at you. Honestly, they should be used to how fast you eat your food by now. 

        The silence between the three of you was oddly comforting despite all of the chaos surrounding your table. You guessed they were energy-drained just as much as you were while you watched them both sluggishly lift their food to your mouth. You shifted your attention back to Aryu, noticing his blank face. Usually he'd be talking by now, ranting about what the worst hair products were and hammering Tokimitsu about taking better care of his 'dry hair'. You thought the poor boy's hair looked fine, but how would you know? Aryu is the expert, not you.

        You found yourself becoming slightly uncomfortable by the stylish boy's silence, and the quietness of your table became less calming and more awkward. Tokimitsu shifted his eyes around the cafeteria nervously, and you groaned in frustration. Your expertise is not encouraging people at all, but you couldn't help but feel that both boys needed the extra boost. 

        "You know, you guys are doing really well. I, uh, just wanted you to know that. And you both have pretty cool playing styles." You shot them both a small thumbs-up, and the tension left both boy's bodies smoothly. Ah, so that's what it was. You nodded to yourself, proud of your bravery for stepping out of your comfort zone. 

        You pushed your empty tray out of the way, and you leaned your cheek on your hand. Grinning at Aryu, your eyes crinkled at the corners.

        "Hey, do you have any suggestions for good hair products I could use? I don't know which ones to get for my [straight/curly/wavy] hair."

        Aryu quickly regained his vibrant sparkle as he straightened up and began blabbering about hair products you were probably never going to buy. 

        Mission accomplished.

                Your team had won all of their matches, and your final match was tomorrow. You couldn't help but feel slightly nervous the more you thought about the possibilities of what could happen during the match, and you sighed shakily as you leaned against the toilet in the bathroom. 

        I really don't want to throw up. You thought about gagging yourself to hopefully get rid of the uncomfortable feeling in your stomach, but you really didn't want to stick your finger down your throat and hunch over the toilet. If anything, you wish you weren't spending part of your night sitting in a bathroom stall, but you couldn't help it. 

        I don't want to disappoint everyone on my team if I mess up during the game. Your mind was practically running a mile a minute. I mean, I'm Rin's rival. I have to score for my team, so we win and so that Rin doesn't end up being super disappointed in me--so that my whole team won't be disappointed in me. Your stomach practically flipped at the thought of letting everyone down.

        I have to be perfect. I have to be the best one out there--what if my teammates start suspecting that I'm not--

You hunched yourself over the toilet and puked up your dinner.

        I need to clear my head.

        You walked to the middle of the training field and plopped down onto the small painted dot in the middle of everything. Leaning back, you dropped onto your back and spread your limbs out so that you were lying on the ground like a starfish. Immediately, your mind started emptying out all the unneeded and overwhelming thoughts you made up. You always did this with [best friend] when you both were nervous before a big football game. 

        [best friend] noticed how antsy you were in the morning during school. He wondered if you had a big test today. It was probably English--but then again you were pretty good at the language. The tests for that class sucked anyways. The day moved by pretty quickly, and he noticed you were still jumpy like you were in the morning. He hummed, assuming your last period was what was making you nervous.

        He assumed wrong. The boy watched as you stumbled slightly with the football, cursing at yourself when you tripped and fell onto the ground. Normally, the boy would laugh at your balance, but he frowned instead, now coming to the conclusion that you were nervous for the big game your team had tomorrow. For a split second he wondered why, because you played defender and were too lazy to do anything during your games half of the time. He shook off the thought.

        [best friend] made his way to you at the end of practice, nudging you to a stop as he grinned at you. "Hey, [name], come with me for a little." You hesitated for a second before chuckling at your blank-faced nod. He led you out to the middle of the field before dropping to the ground and lying there like starfish. "What are you doing? Lay down."

        You copied his position exactly, and [best friend] tilted his head to the side to watch as you released a sigh of relief and your body eased up. It was silent for a few minutes, and the two of you closed your eyes to listen to the sound of your breathing.

        "My parents are coming to my game tomorrow. I don't want to disappoint them--I need to be the best defender out there, just like they expect me to be." [best friend] questioned if you were stupid--because you are the best defender on the field--if anything, you could probably be the best player on the team if you cared enough to. Instead of speaking his thoughts aloud, [best friend] only huffed.

        "Don't be nervous, you'll do fine." It wasn't a lie.

        You rested your left arm over your forehead, sighing through your nose. You really wished [best friend]was with you right now.

        Your team won your last game, and you scored the last goal. Despite the fact that your teammates were cheering at you, you could only stare at the team kneeling on their knees in front of you. They groaned in despair, some of them even crying. Did it feel that bad to lose?

        You couldn't relate to the feeling--you'd never lost in your life. Sometimes you wished you could understand the feeling, understand the looks of pity others received when they were defeated. But right now, you could only grin at their pain. Time seemed to slow down as you stared at the defeated players, your chest being filled with an unexplainable happiness for seeing them in pain. You thought back to Ego's speech a while ago. 

        "It's to create a hero among them." 

You wondered if you wanted to be a hero. Did you want to score goals for your team, to bring them the sweet joy of success and watch as happiness and warmth filled their hearts? Did you want your teammates to pat you on the back, thanking you for your hard work? You didn't think you did. What you wanted was entirely different. You wanted to crush people's dreams, to destroy them and prove to them that you were better, and that they could never reach your level because they weren't good enough. The thought of it exhilarated you to no end.

        You would always be at the top, even if it was lonely.

        If you didn't want to be the hero, wouldn't that make you a villain?

When Aryu was silent, he was actually having a crisis about his feelings towards you.

Aryu kicked you because your compliment embarrassed him and pleased him--he didn't want you to see his blush.

Tokimitsu was thankful that you distracted Aryu from being so serious; it was starting to make him nervous.

You were really sad that you threw up the good food you ate for dinner.
