So much love, listening, and learning was woven in to today’s talk by Jen Bervin about her textiles and video @cclarkgallery. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us in the celebration. To quote Jen Bervin’s textile 838 and 838a from “Close Reading,” in which Jen is transcribing Emily Dickinson’s fragments from Amherst College’s archives: “I hope you have the power of hope-close-Anguish has but so many.” Today’s opening was a magnificent (and hopeful) event that felt like a prelude to the possibilities of a full reopening of our society in coming months. #artisessential #poetryandart #textandart @jenbervin @amherstcollege #emilydickinsonarchives #archives #artistsinthearchive #doingandundoing #faireetdéfairecesttravailler #gorgeousnothings #variants #embroidery #bookarts #kickcovidtothecurb #getvaccinated #supportthearts #artchangeslives (at Catharine Clark Gallery) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNyz8wllDO6/?igshid=1xyum79ja60uh
