What’s on the Workbench 001 (10052020)
What's on the Workbench? (Thank-You Ben @ #crimsonGuitars) It's Sunday. According to some, today is a day of rest and no work should be undertaken. According to others, this is what Saturdays are for, and Sundays are the day to plan the week ahead. Now that I have this blog up and running, I need to cultivate a little more consistency. I'd like to post 'What's on the Workbench' at least every fortnight; that way all of us can keep track of me working through "The Great To-Do List". Regarding 'To-Do' lists like this, I have come up with the following schema:- 1) x5 things that MUST be done. 2) x5 things that it would be GOOD to do. 3) x2 things that would be FUN to do. I know that this may not seem particularly ambitious, but this list sits beside all my other usual tasks, chores and obligations. Here are my targets for the next 14 days:- 1) Produce images for a text about Inspiration. At the moment I need two, but I may need four before the end. 2) Complete x3 more unfinished sketchbook images. 3) Finish off editing the Polish language texts for the images and posts that are up so far. 4) I have some rough ideas for a piece about the recent Iranian air disaster: I'd want to develop this up to a full piece. 5) I need to get a better handle on #tags... 6) Complete "Kings and Queens" image. 7) Rough out the "Giraffe" image series. 8) Rough out ideas for an illustrated book. 9) Plan out a post about a past exhibition I was able to visit. 10) Look out blogs that co-operation / collaboration may be possible with. 11) Finish reading "The Beauty of Everyday Things" by Soetsu Yanagi. ( ISBN 978-0-241-36635-6 ) 12) Start reading "Ways of Seeing" by John Berger, Sven Blomberg, Chris Fox, Michael Dibb & Richard Hollis. ( ISBN 978-0-141-03579-6 ).
