This was so much fun to do! This is called Neurographica. For me, it's a manifestation technique. This one was to help me overcome low self-esteem. It's abstract so I was free to focus on my intent without having to worry about details. I used colors I associated with my intent. Even the way I colored it in used deosil (clockwise) movements for invoking the new mindset. The border is a metaphor for "this problem only exists within the confines of this space."

My Depictumancy lets me use my artistic abilities to manifest whatever I desire. So this manifestation technique seemed most appropriate.

I don't know where it came from, but several years ago this idea popped into my head unbidden, and for some reason it tickles me. I don't know if it's funny, but I like it and I made it into a zine, I hope you enjoy it.

It lays out really nicely as 3-up spreads on A4 paper, so you can print, staple and fold it, then cut it into 3 zines. It made it really easy to print up 20 of them to trade at this art social thing I went to

I Have Found A Solution!

So, obviously classic wizard robes aren’t wheelchair friendly. (Alright, admittedly this isn’t common knowledge and also this definitely isn’t a problem for most but listen, this is a problem for me and I’m pleased to present a solution for it nonetheless.)

The issue is in the sleeves and the length of the robes. The traditional trumpet style allows them to get snagged, dirty, and caught in the wheels.

This is distinctly not an issue with other mobility aids such as canes and crutches, these wizards are fine to carry on with their trumpet sleeves simply rolled up if needed.

Now, one solution might simply to shorten the sleeves and hem to be out of the way, but that looks rather silly so I won’t do that. Instead I propose the more elegant design of a hanging sleeve to maintain that flowy magical feel while allowing for better range of motion.

Honestly I just love the look of hanging sleeves in general and think more people should appreciate them, wheelchair user or not.

Hey. Hey. Listen to me. Are you listening? I have been a commission artist since 2005. Two Thousand five. A friend introduced me to the the furry community and the concept of being a commission artist and through his help I was a legit full time commission artist for years.

Some of commissioners sent me huge multi paragraph write-ups describing character lore and setting and context. Some were just like “This is my character. I really like muscular wolf women and pegging. I’ll be happy with whatever you do!”

Both of those types of commissioner are absolutely amazing in their own way.

The super detailed folks know what they want to see and they’re the reason I send out work in progress phases including rough, refined, and inked line work to make sure things are on track with their vision. They’re paying for it, they should be able to get what they want within reason and it’s great that I can help them achieve an idea that’s in their head.

The Vague folks are great because if they’re commissioning me through a gallery site like DA or FA, I can go in and peak around their account to see what kinds of things they like so I can work that into the piece and really give them something they’ll love.

Just two cents from your local art wizard.

i love giving artists money but the actual process of describing what i want them to draw is so agonizing
