Hello once again RD tumblr, Iv been brain rotting about Cole and Nicole again as of late- Specifically giving them fan family. Nicole's iv especially been thinkin about so alot of rambling and art under the cut for those curious about my ting family

first off- the actual list of the tings ;

and if anyone asks yes they're all puns in someway. Im still thinking up designs for all of them but at the moment i do have the ting closest to Nicole, her brother Ratche!

Hes a radio technician who can't physically visit much outside of holidays but texts and calls with Nicole often. Generally most her family she doesn't get to see much since they're all working very different jobs and only one of them lives at home still being Dest who's 17.

He only shows up physically after Cole becomes a barista and him n Nicole start dating n living together. Ratche has heard all about Cole's escapades and has... a mildly strong opinion on him when they first meet during the tail end of a shift

Ratche backs off after telling Cole to not stress out Nicole anymore then he already has n relents that he's sorry, hes just concerned for her. Hes sure Cole is actually an alright guy. So yegah mostly just a little aside to Nicole but i enjoy Ratche n their siblinging. This was mostly a ramble but i will leave one more doodle thing here and then a bunch more discord rambles i can't be bothered rephrasing while my arm hurts lol

There’s like so so so many nct blogs that I follow I’ll have to write a book ssjdgsgf but I’ll mention a few (also you probably follow all of these amazing people already bcs they're wonderful) : @najaeminclub we’re url buddies and val is a literal angel@renjunsanti ria is amazing and her writing is literally godtier,, t r u l y @mangodoyoung lily’s social media aus are art I’m not kidding and if you haven’t read them then you really need to@bbyjaem1n I recently started following them bcs they have such good social media aus and their tags are the most relatable things ever @citysoutro her writing is so so so so good if you don’t follow her then smh anon what are you doing @vampireseo ganguli is one of the best johnny stans out there and her writing is spectacular@dreamloveclub I think she’s currently on a semi hiatus(?) but seriously ellie’s sc media aus and writing in general is wonderful and just makes you feel so much @qianloveclub follow hee right now cowards or die bcs her content is the best @whiplashlive spence is a literal angst queen and her writing fills you with so many thousands of emotions that leave you breathless it’s beautiful @roseshyck their social media au a tail worth telling is the cutest thing ever and they seem like a great person in general @wowlele if you don’t follow these two queens then you better get to it bcs their writing = the best@hyucksbby is such an adorable hyuck stan and such a nice person! Her writing is really amazing and cute so follow her! @najaeminis another angst queen! probably invented angst tbh,, her aus are amazing and so creative they make me cry in the best ways@godrics !!!! Amazing! Wonderful! Just a whole load of amazing writing!!! And also they write for a ton of groups and artists so if you're multifandom then you should definitely follow@kimdoyoungclub I binge on her writing a lot bcs they're so so so great! Also: a doyoung stan (we need more people to appreciate doyoung on this site tbh) @mfalmv they have a whole array of great fics so get reading anon what're you DOING just reading this!! @writerjisung the cutest jisung stan,, like their tags can make you cry in uwu@heartmins her sc media aus? beautiful. Her writing is basically one of the reasons why I'm a hopeless jaemin stan now @huarenjuwun abby’s masterlist is full of the best writing! seriously!! Also her tags and love for renjun and mark is just the most relatable ever@chittafont dest is literally the reason I'm a jaemin+dream stan. Literally the main reason for my existence. Her writing is beyond this world its just amazing. I binge on her masterlist or soft hours tags when I'm sad or happy or soft or basically just breathing. @markleeh jessica’s writing is just hilarious, fluffy social media aus that make you so s o f t, it's not even funny. You should read fan and how can i love you they're just. amazing(I realise that was a lot of people and I know that I've left out a whole ton of other blogs so sorry abt that asjdfhf I just wrote down the first blogs that came to mind) (Btw to the people I tagged I'm sorry if it's a bother or annoying!! okay so remember a while ago I was talking about wanting to make a game? well, I never really got very far with it bc I couldn't really come up with any good plot concepts. but I think I got something through a dream. (thanks, vicodin.)

it's long and rambly (once again, thanks vicodin) so have a cut. ((or not??? Tumblr mobile Works and is Not Broken At All.))

okay, so this is obviously a high magic thing, and I'll have to actually figure out how to introduce this world and what kind of strife would cause this crisis without becoming that Preachy White Person Who Knows Best, but I can figure that out once I flesh this out better.

Anyway, it centers around this monster that is the embodiment of destruction. like, it's kind of hard to explain it right now, since it didn't exactly have a physical form that was understandable. the closest I can get is saying it was a solid fog or smoke, able to act as both a gas and a solid. it could seep through cracks and spread, but could also coalesce into semi-solid forms to deal damage. it fed off of negative emotions (fear, sorrow, hate, anger, hopelessness) and was difficult to combat since standard combat would cause it to become stronger.

it could hide itself from observation, although that was rather easy to reverse. however, this stuff was EVERYWHERE, so revealing it to the populace at large was not necessarily a good thing. people would panic, which would ensure that this thing consumed the world at an unstoppable pace. but, some kids (teens? young adults? Average Hopeful Protagonists basically) who had no idea it existed were caught up in an attack on their home by standard monsters that were corrupted by this stuff.

basically, this stuff is a black mist that sticks to things where bad emotions run hot. it clings to corners of town halls like cobwebs, across battlefields like a perpetual mist, on weapons of war or letters of grievances. it clings to the skin of people who harbor malice and ill will, and can even use those people as a kind of incubator for more of itself. it is not, however, intelligent. it is a brute force, indiscriminate and wild. it is like the wind, or fire, or a storm. it has form and acts like a creature, but only because that is how it was first perceived, so that is the form it takes. because magic.

Anyway, these kids think they've destroyed the Evil Plagueing Everything, and attempt to Save nearby towns from this menace across the countryside, only to be confronted about it by people who Actually Know What They're Doing, because outwardly it appears that these kids are forwarding the growth of this thing. They say they were defending their village (which is true) and killing things that were trying to harm themselves and others (which is also true) but they were missing a vital step in the process.

turns out, the only way to combat destruction is to create. healing magic, blessings, singing, dancing and even art are solid ways to push back the Great Evil. positive emotions aren't enough, actual actions must be taken. but creating things is a magic all on its own. it isn't a powerful magic, so it's not widely studied and even argued about whether it truly counts at all.

Anyway, this person is able to reveal the shadows to this group of kids, which shows them the danger they've actually created. They go backwards to undo the damage they've caused before it's too late, which may or may not happen.

idk, it's tough trying to transcribe an opiate-fueled dream into understandable words without it being a "duuuude check it out man, wouldn't it be wild if..." kind of thing. I mean, it's not necessarily a unique concept, and one that would be difficult to put into a story without it being super preachy and Friendship Saves The Day, but like...

it's not often I feel Actual Fear in a dream, and this was...legitimately scary. Like, the forms these things took were alien and geometric, and were literally impossible to predict or communicate with. They were just pure destruction.

it would open up being able to have a bard class or a blade dancer or something. not all of the fights would involve the shadows, but those that do would require having to start songs or dances to kill them. maybe make the bard the main chatacter, haha.

Anyway, this is just a rough idea insofar, and is honestly just me trying to get this idea down in writing before I forget it so I can refine it when my brain actually kicks into gear/I have time.

input would be cool, since once again I don't want to act like I am the ultimate authority on how strife should be handled and RPGs tend to require a certain level of heavy handedness in order to keep the plot moving. it's not necessary though, since this is mostly for personal use. having it available is just a positive.
