Tangled Twins

Fate ever-woven, destinies intertwined like the loose strings of a ball of yarn. Fate pulled them apart as eggs, and fate brought them together as dragons. Arrienna, raised in shadow, was forced to rely upon her strong illusionary magic to survive. It was the only way to avoid what lurked in the shadows. Arriella, raised in lightning, was forced to rely upon her strong lightning magic to survive. It was the only way to defeat what lurked beneath the sand.

The Hillside Motel (seen here in 2013, 2018 & 2019) was recently gutted and turned into apartments. It was operated by the Richardson family for over 50 years until owners Arriella and Robert retired. Located in Whitesboro, New Jersey.

Ariella Appreciation Post:

(The rest of this post in an in-depth explanation of why I love Arriella so  much, and there is no plot or story progression in this post.)

So, Ariella is probably my favorite sim that I’ve ever created, because she looks the most human. Many of my sims are picture-perfect cookie-cutter barbie dolls, but I wanted to try something different for this challenge. You can see that my other sims (except for Quinn, because I made her many months ago, but more on that later) also have body types that are more akin to the real world. I try and ensure that all my saves are representative and diverse, but I admit that it could still use a lot of work.

Ariella is definitely the type of girl that I would date. She’s quiet and nerdy, but in a good way. She loves and cares for all of her friends, even if it’s not reciprocated, and can always bounce back from situations with a smile on her face. I feel very attached to her, and have some good things planned in her story arc.

P.S: I don’t know why I included the fourth picture. It was a really good angle, but Hattie got in the way.

Princess of Sarris. That was her new title. 

  Recently wed to the prince of the neighboring kingdom, Princess Ariella Kason of Borros,as she was formerly known, stood in the large garden of Nightwell Castle, dark brown hair braided back in the bridal fashion of Sarris royalty. The late summer sun shone through the trees as she gazed around, looking as lost as she felt. 

    She stiffened as a woman approached from around a corner. She was clothed in a flowing, blue gown that fell almost to the ground. Despite the warm weather, she wore long sleeves on her dress and pale blue gloves on her hands.

     Ariella had not even heard her steps. 

    “I am so heartbroken about the news of your father, my child,” the raven-haired queen Samantha Tarro said softly, taking the young bride’s small hands in her own. 

   Ariella nodded, bowing low to her new mother-in-law. “I am aware. But I came to do as was decided.” Her young face was a mask of calm resolve. 

   “I am sorry it must come at such dark times, Princess,” Samantha continued, not letting go of Ariella’s hand. 

     Ariella straightened, pulling her hand away slowly, “Your majesty, I have come to fulfill my duty to my king and to my people. I appreciate your words of sympathy, but perhaps save them for a time when they have some effect on the situation?” she spoke softly. 

    Samantha hesitated. “My child, I would be lying if I said I did not simply wish to help.” She clasped her hands in front of her deep blue dress. 

    Ariella nodded. “And I would be lying if I said I did not wish for it. However, I would prefer not to shed tears at present, your majesty.” Ariella looked the queen in the eye. 

   “Of course, my dear.” Samantha nodded, voice tender. “If there is anything I might do for you, please, let me know.” She smiled.

Family: uncle of Peter and Arriella Kason and elder brother of the previous king of Sarris

History:

He lost his right to the throne after it was found that he had ties to thieves and murderers.

After the throne went to his younger, less experienced brother, he offered to "help rule".

In all truth, he ruled in all but title while his brother sat in luxury.

He was never close to his family after he lost his chance at the crown.

What happens now as his nephew takes the throne?

Will he take what was "rightfully" his?

Personality: no nonsense, blunt

Hobbies: training secretly with sword or dagger, caring for her horse.

Affiliation: member if the Silver Doves.

Born the daughter of a palace servant, she eventually took on her mother's job.

She soon learns a love for swordsmanship, but who in their right mind would train a servant? Especially a woman?

So she did what anyone would do, at least in her mind. She trained herself.

Watched soldiers and men-at-arms training, then practiced alone.
