THEY PASSED THE TEST! VOLTURI KINGS X READER
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Y/N never had any good relationship,in the past she always conformed herself with the bare minimum,her last boyfriend were absolutely horrendous,she begged all the time to him to even show a bit of his love for her but he never did.
Then the relationship turned into complete manipulation as he promised he will change and act like a man,you believed him over and over again hoping some day it will be true.
Until you started therapy,that women helped you a lot to achieve self love,self steem,and what you deserve in the person you love.Not talking about material,no,love can be show in many ways and there are many love languages.
Time later,in a ship to Volterra you met them,the Kings,Aro,Caius and Marcus,at first you were reluctant to met them,to be fair they were three men who said you are their mate,they are vampires and they are kings who rule the vampire world.
You spent your days in the library,reading through all the mistery books they have there to entertain yourself and everyday trying new recipes from a kitchen book they keep there.Or on the music room,learning easy song on the piano that you barely know how to use.Days were long and each day you noticed changes in their behaviour that made you question yourself if you should give them a try.
First month when you entered your room a huge buquet of flower,that you didnt know how but they were your favourite,was there in the middle of the room.
Everyday your breakfast was delivered to your room without question.There wasnt a day they skipped it.
All weeks you received love notes,each week from one of them,and they all have a special talent on writing romantic quotes.
Expensive jewlery appear out of nowhere every once in a while with your favourite gold color.
That list of things could go on until today,the day you decided to go in the throne room and talk to them,in private,just you…four,sounded weird.
You woke up early,and there was your breakfast,after eating it,you took a shower,changed into something nice but comfy,did your makeup natural just adding concealer,blush and lash mascara and with that you headed to the throne room.
The doors were opened for you as you entered the big room where you have been just a couple of times.
The big smile of Aro greet you as he shouted your name in happiness.
Not knowing what to said,you decided to let them talk.anyways they were the ones that had to show their truly excitment of being with you.
-Cara mia,is a pleasure to finally have you here,we decided to give you some spice as you seemed…a bit unwilling of getting to know us-Aro started.
-I was,and im still are-
-No need to be like that,we are sure you saw all our gifts right?All of that were your favourite,we got contacts-Caius,for the first time in ages,were truly happy and soft while talking.
-I can see the bound grew strong,you can give as a chance,we are good lovers for you,afterall we are mated,its not decided by us,its decided by destiny.If you dont like it,you are free to go.-Marcus said,and he wasnt lying,he and his brother agreed on letting you go if thats was what you wanted
When you hear that,your heart made a click,you want to go?No you dont want that,its not that bad here and the feeling of letting this behind was very stressful to think about.
Without warning Aro took your hand in his reading your thougts as you seemed to be zoned out.His face light up in love looking back to his brothers.
-We have a chance-
Hope you like this🫶🏼

The grand entrance hall of Volterra, Italy, echoed with the weight of centuries-old secrets and power. It was within these ancient stone walls that the Volturi, the ruling vampire coven, held their dominion. Aro, Caius, and Marcus, the three elder vampires who led the coven, sat upon their thrones, their crimson eyes filled with an ageless wisdom.
Their previous secretary had met an unfortunate end, her fate sealed by a single, costly mistake. Now, it was time to find a new secretary, one who could handle the delicate matters that crossed the Volturi's path.
(Y/n), a human with a reputation for competence and diligence, stood before the Volturi leaders. She pushed her glasses up on her face, the light catching the lenses and reflecting an intense determination in her gaze. She had no intention of failing in this prestigious role.
Aro, the most talkative of the trio, addressed her with a smile that didn't reach his eyes. "I trust you won't follow in our previous secretary's footsteps. Her errors cost her dearly."
(Y/n) met Aro's gaze with unwavering confidence. "No need for the warning, sir. I take my work very seriously. I'm here to ensure that every detail is meticulously attended to."
Caius observed her with a critical eye, his expression stern. "You are aware that our affairs are highly confidential, and discretion is of the utmost importance?"
(Y/n) nodded, her resolve unshaken. "Absolutely, sir. My lips are sealed, and I understand the consequences of breaching that trust."
Marcus, the most reserved of the three, merely regarded her with a measured gaze. "We shall see if your actions align with your words."
(Y/n) straightened her posture, ready to take on her new responsibilities. "You won't be disappointed, gentlemen."
With that, she accepted the role of secretary for the Volturi, stepping into a world of secrecy, power, and ancient vampires. As she walked away, she knew that she had taken on a role unlike any other, one that demanded her utmost dedication and discretion. The reflection of her determination in those glasses was a symbol of the resolve she brought to her new position, one that she intended to uphold at all costs.
(Y/n) settled into her new role as the secretary for the Volturi with a fierce dedication. Her efficiency and attention to detail quickly became apparent to the coven's leaders. Aro, always one to appreciate those who could fulfill his demands promptly, decided to put her to the test.
One afternoon, he strolled into her office, his graceful presence demanding attention. (Y/n) looked up from her desk, her fingers flying across the keyboard of her computer as she organized files and scheduled appointments.
"Ah, (Y/n)," Aro greeted her with his customary smile. "I have a task for you."
(Y/n) nodded, ready to take on any request from her employer. "Of course, master Aro. What do you need?"
Aro explained, "I need you to post an aid about a tour for fifty people for tomorrows feeding, a rather impromptu event. I would like you to schedule it for me.”
(Y/n) didn't miss a beat. She continued typing on her computer, her eyes darting across the screen as she worked her magic with scheduling software. "Consider it done, master Aro."
Aro was taken aback by her speed and efficiency. He had expected this task to take some time, but within mere minutes, (Y/n) turned her screen toward him, displaying a perfectly organized tour for fifty attendees, complete with dates, times, and an itinerary.
His crimson eyes widened with a mixture of surprise and admiration. "You work remarkably fast, (Y/n)."
(Y/n) looked up with a confident smile. "I pride myself on being efficient, master aro. Is there anything else you need?"
Aro chuckled, clearly impressed. "Not at the moment, my dear. Carry on with your excellent work."
As he left her office, (Y/n) couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. She had proven her worth to the Volturi leader, and her efficiency would undoubtedly serve her well in this world of secrecy and power.
In the serene garden of the Volturi castle, Marcus often found solace among the flowers that his late mate had once lovingly tended to. He wandered the garden, lost in his own thoughts, the weight of his immortal life bearing down on him.
One day, as he strolled along the carefully manicured paths, Marcus noticed something extraordinary. The flowers that had once withered away had begun to regrow, vibrant and beautiful as if brought back to life by some unseen force. He couldn't help but be struck by the sight, the memories of his mate's love for these flowers flooding his mind.
Marcus approached a lower guard who was on duty nearby, his curiosity piqued. "Who has been taking care of the garden? These flowers, they are flourishing once more."
The lower guard, a vampire who had served the Volturi for centuries, nodded respectfully to Marcus. "It is the human, my lord."
"The human?" Marcus asked, intrigued. "What is their name?"
The guard, who knew the human by the name the Volturi called her, replied, "The secretary (Y/n), my lord."
Marcus considered this revelation, the name sparking a distant memory. He had heard the name (Y/n) mentioned in passing, but he had paid little attention. Now, it seemed this human was not only tending to the garden but also reviving the memories of his lost mate.
With a nod of appreciation, Marcus continued to admire the blooming flowers, a silent acknowledgment of the human named (Y/n) for her care and dedication. In the garden, among the resurrected blooms, he felt a connection to his past and a glimmer of hope for the future, all thanks to the efforts of this mysterious human.
In the dimly lit halls of the Volturi castle, Caius, one of the coven's leaders, was growing increasingly frustrated. He had been searching for his favorite cloak, a luxurious garment of deep crimson, for what felt like an eternity. His irritation had escalated to the point where his voice echoed through the corridors as he yelled at everyone in his path.
"Where is it? Who has taken my cloak?" he bellowed, his tone venomous.
Vampires scurried to avoid his wrath, their wide-eyed expressions betraying their fear of their temperamental leader.
In the midst of the chaos, a soft and calm voice cut through the tension. "(Y/n)," Caius snapped, his crimson eyes narrowing as he turned to face the human secretary, "(Y/n), have you seen my cloak? I cannot find it anywhere."
(Y/n) stepped forward, holding Caius's missing cloak draped carefully over her arm. Her voice was composed, unruffled by his outburst. "Master Caius, you left this in your office. I've noticed it had specks of dried blood on it, so I've had it dried clean."
Caius was momentarily taken aback, his anger dissipating as he processed her words. He couldn't believe it. The usually distant and indifferent human secretary had not only found his cloak but had taken it upon herself to ensure it was cleaned.
"(Y/n)," Caius said, his voice softer now, "you did this for me?"
(Y/n) nodded, her gaze steady as she met his crimson eyes. "Of course, Master Caius. It's my duty to assist in any way I can."
Caius, still in disbelief, reached out to take the cloak from her arm. His fingers brushed against hers, and he felt a strange, unfamiliar sensation stir within him. He couldn't deny that her thoughtfulness had left a mark on him, one that he couldn't easily dismiss.
As (Y/n) excused herself and left the hallway, Caius watched her retreating figure with a newfound appreciation. It was a small gesture, but one that had touched him deeply, and he couldn't help but wonder if there was more to this human secretary than met the eye.
The grand trial room within the Volturi castle was filled with a weighty silence as the three kings, Aro, Caius, and Marcus, gathered for a discussion. The subject of their conversation was none other than their human secretary, (Y/n).
"She's good at her job, almost too damn good," Aro commented, his eyes gleaming with intrigue. "I can't seem to find a simple mistake in her work."
Caius nodded in agreement. "She's quick, and her work is effective. It seems we'll be keeping her around long-term."
Marcus, who often remained silent, offered his approval with a subtle nod.
The kings reached a unanimous decision. They would offer (Y/n) a gift, one that would bind her to the Volturi for eternity. They sent their most trusted enforcers, the twins Alec and Jane, to fetch her.
Alec and Jane, swift and efficient as always, found (Y/n) in her office. They approached her with the precision of a well-practiced routine.
"(Y/n)," Alec began, his tone even, "the masters request your presence in the trial room."
(Y/n) blinked in surprise but complied, following the twins to the room where the three kings awaited.
Once inside, (Y/n) stood before the Volturi leaders, her heart pounding with anticipation. Aro spoke first, his voice dripping with charm.
"(Y/n), in the short months you have been with us, your dedication and efficiency have impressed us greatly," Aro said, his crimson eyes locked onto hers. "We value your contributions, and we would like to offer you a gift."
(Y/n) couldn't hide her surprise. "A gift, masters?"
Caius stepped forward, his gaze unwavering. "We offer you immortality, (Y/n). A chance to join our coven as one of us."
The offer hung in the air, a life-altering decision that (Y/n) had never expected. She considered her options carefully, her thoughts racing. The weight of eternity was a heavy burden to bear, but the allure of becoming part of the Volturi coven was undeniable.
After a moment of reflection, (Y/n) finally spoke. "I'm not sure what to say, masters, but thank you for the offer."
With her acceptance, the kings nodded in approval. The twins, Alec and Jane, moved closer, their hands lightly touching her body. “Alec -“ aro calls out and in second Alec has (y/n) wrapped in his dark smoke, her senses numbing within seconds. “Don’t worry dear, it’ll be over in no time.”
Over the course of three days, (Y/n) underwent the agonizing process of the vampire transformation. She endured the fire of change, sometimes which were numbed by Alec per the kings request and now she was emerging from the ordeal as a newborn vampire, her senses heightened and her existence forever entwined with the Volturi.
As her eyes fluttered open in her new immortal life, (Y/n) realized that she had become a permanent part of the Volturi coven, her loyalty and dedication recognized in the most profound way possible.

Caius Volturi x Vampire mate
Summary: Mated to the Ruthless Volturi King Warnings: Language, mentions of death, Angst, Caius internal thoughts 🤭 A/N: I kept changing my mind of how I wanted to write hence why it took me like 2 weeks to work on it, there will be a part two to this. Also this was inspired by the song "Me Matas" by Eslabon Armado, at this point its like a mini series of One-Shots being inspired by this group. Second A/N in the end. Enjoy :) Word Count: 4k+ (Didn't realize it was that long)
Here's part 2. (finally)

Tumblr media
(I loved him in this era, gold is his color, but he looks so good in red also)
“Well brother it appears you have found your mate”
I looked up at Aro who was looking at Caius. Mate? Whoever it is. I am so sorry for them. I have heard stories about Caius being this ruthless king who had no sympathy for human life, much to what my twin brother Carlisle has told me but he did say that Caius did have a love for the arts. Still I never had the chance to even meet the kings or anyone in Volterra, from the time my brother was part of this coven I was in South America exploring as always. The only reason why I'm even in Volterra was because Edward decided he wanted to kill himself for the reason he thought that Bella was dead. Alice brought me along not really telling me why, only said she needed my help.
So now I am here in the throne room staring at the other three kings. I could feel the blonde one staring at me but I avoided eye contact. Aro with his creepy like gaze swiftly moved toward me and my family,
“It is an honor to finally meet the infamous sister of Carlisle, may I?”
He extended his hand and I knew what he wanted. Carlisle told me about Aro, so I obliged without wanting to put the kids in danger. With one touch I relived every thought and memory I have ever had, it was strange seeing everything I have been through flash before my eyes. I pulled my hand away when I heard a slight hiss. It didn't come from Aro but it did leave me curious.
“Magnifico! You will make a wonderful mate to my brother and a perfect addition to this coven”
My eyes widened at his words, what does he mean mate to his brother. ME. Since when? How?
“I beg to pardon?”
“It appears you are the mate to my brother Caius”
No way, the mate to the blonde, I was just badwording him a minute ago and now I'm his mate. Instant karma for me. My eyes then wandered slowly to the blonde and he already had his gaze on me, just from his face I can tell he was displeased with the unraveling events. I felt a small hand grab me and I looked slightly into the eyes of the one I was the closest to, Alice.
“You knew didn't you?”
She looked down and I knew I got my answer, I looked up at Edward who had a flabbergasted look and cling more to Bella. Now I'm starting to think if Carlisle knew about this, did Alice tell him and Esme, my eyes widened slightly at the thought that I might never see my family again. I didn't even want to look at anyone in this room, not even the piercing blood red eyes that belong to my now mate. Aro was the one to break the silence
“Well with that cleared why don't we go on with the plan”
I totally forgot why we were here, I also forgot that Aro was on the verge to kill Bella and as much as I don't really like her, I might as well do one more thing for my family
“That won't be necessary Aro”
The raven head looked at me with a look of curiosity
“Why’s that?”
“What if we made a deal?”
I could literally see the spark or interest in his eyes, he looked like a child who was going to be rewarded with a prize for behaving. He nodded toward me to continue
“You spear my family and I stay”
What surprise me was Caius was the one to speak up next
“No deal, that human is a liability, she knows to much”
I looked at the blonde with narrowed eyes
“What if my family promised to change her soon?”
Nobody dared to talk but Aro piped in
“If they follow through with the promise then we will allow it, but you remain here and they go”
I nodded and then instantly a guard who had such elegance that would put the Greek gods themselves to shame led my family out and I was about to reach out for them when a beast of a man grabbed me. I looked up at the giant and my initial thought for a minute was “Why is he good looking?How can he be so tall and…have muscle in all the right places, again the greek gods themselves would be jealous”, That hiss sound was heard again and the giant let go of me. I looked around the throne room for where that hiss came from but everyone seemed to stand in the same place as before. Aro gave instruction to the twins who I remember my brother told me about, Alec and Jane, to take me to Caius private chambers. At the mention of that I almost wanted to make a run for it. The two led me away and I felt Caius' gaze on me the whole time as I was leaving the room.
Eventually I was left alone in the room, I had to admit it was a lovely room, it did seem fit for a king but also for a man of art. I felt strange being in his room alone, I don't even know the vampire and now I have to be with him for eternity. This is also unfair, why couldn't I at least say goodbye to my brothers kids, I might never see them or my brother again, I just got back from traveling and was set to settle down with my brothers coven for once. I only got 5 years with them. Maybe it's my fault for always wanting to explore and be on my own but life was cut short for me and I never got that chance when I was human.
Mine and Carlisle’s father forbade me to go out without my brother by me, I couldn't even go down the street to get a loaf of bread for dinner alone. Not that I don't love spending time with my
brother, but I always had that curiosity to go be alone and explore the world. Until that fateful day of my ‘death’, it happened after Carlisle was pronounced ‘dead’, and from that father was more strict than ever, I never got a chance to get a breath of fresh air, day and night at home; cleaning, cooking, reading, sewing, and etc. It got repetitive very quickly, so I decided one night to run away. That night I knew my father was away on another vampire hunt, so I knew I would be alone. I packed a small bag and went out by the back door. So far my journey was good, I decided to head off to York, I read books about this town and the gothic architecture was a must see.
I had a good 10 miles away from my home, when it happened, I was walking along this path in the woods when two random men came out of the blue and took advantage of me. They left me there barely breathing and in my growing cold blood. I was minutes away from dying when a familiar face came into my hazyview, I knew who it was and before I could even say his name everything went black. It was not until days later I woke up in a small clearing and Carlisle came into view and explained everything to me. I was glad to see my twin alive but at the same time I was not thrilled with the idea that I had to drink human blood. Me and Carlisle with time discovered the concept of drinking animal blood and that helped. Soon after we were accustomed to the life of vampires we parted ways. I wanted to travel but he wanted to spend time in Italy.
At this moment  I wished I stayed with my brother this whole time but then that meant I would have met my mate sooner and would have not met my brother’s coven. My mate…I was always curious to find out who they would be, I could see how my brother and Esme looked at each other, or how my brother’s children looked at their significant other, even Edward for once looked happy. I never knew I would even find them, I spent a lot of time alone and didn't really think about settling down or even finding my mate in this lifetime. I thought for sure I was destined for solitude, but it appears I was destined to be with the ruthless Volturi King.
Speaking about him I didn't even notice he came into the room and was seated in one of his Victorian burgundy styled sofas. I blinked a couple of times to make sure I was not seeing things but he spoke up
“You should really learn to be aware of your surroundings, I even gave you a kiss on the forehead and you didn't even notice or flinched”
My eyebrows furrowed in confusion and I saw he had a slight smirk on his face, he was teasing me. I didn't even know whether to be surprised or pissed at this, in different circumstances I would have joked back. In a blink of an eye he was in front of me, towering over me, I would have looked up at him but I wanted to stand my ground. I felt him lift my chin up and I faced his bright ruby red eyes that seemed so enchanting.
I tried to avoid eye contact but his eyes were like a lure, once you got a glimpse there was no way to look away. He started to lean in until he was inches away from my lips, “keep it together y/n, keep it together y/n”. But then Blondie whispered “Con tempo” and he was gone. I was relieved but at the same time I had a hint of intrigued.
Flashback….
Year 1700 – From the stories I have heard from the townspeople and from our father, they made the vampire life seem so horrible, that a vampire is only seen as a monster. But I have never felt such a peace like state, from being controlled, to losing my brother, to my ‘death’, I finally have forever to be free with my brother. And as of right now me and him are laying in an open field in the outskirts of Italy, gazing at the stars as we have been doing the past 30 years already.
“They had it all wrong, did they not, lyle?”
“I can not say I disagree but you have a point, I would've never pictured our life to turn like this”
Life really has never been better than this moment. I appreciated the times me and Carlisle would spend at night talking about the latest book we read or how we want to further our education in medicine and the arts. I want to travel more but it seems he has other plans. I can sense it.
“Just say it, I know there is something”
In the corner of my eye I saw that he took an unnecessary breath. I knew what he was about to say would hurt me, he always did that when he had to break bad news to me, even when we were little, he always acted like the big brother.
“I was confronted by a coven of Vampires, they call themselves the Volturi, they been around for millennials, they favor the arts and science, and they have more knowledge than any human could ever dream of knowing and they have an impressive collection of books on everything, they offered us a spot into their coven, I said I would talk it out with you first”
I knew he made his decision, I knew this is something he has always wanted to do, he wanted to know more about the background knowledge of Vampires and more on old medicine and arts. Even that intrigued me but that would mean I would have to settle down and live out my life in some coven and stay in one place for eternity.
“Carlisle…you know I would never want to stop you from your education, I was the one who persuaded you to have an interest in the medical field, so I'm not going to be one to hold you back, I would rather die than to stop you from this.”
“I figured you would not want to join, I thought that maybe I would be able to convince you. I don't like being separated from you, your everything I have left of family”
I looked at him with a saddened look
“I know Lyle, but you know I don't like to be contained in one place forever, I need to be out and about, exploring and having the life I never got the chance to have”
He sits up looking out in the open field, I know he really wants me to join him, and I want to but there's still so much to explore still. Sitting up also I extend a hand toward him and a Lily flower bloomed within my hand, he looks at it with awe
“A Lily Flower? Mothers favorite…”
I gave him a small smile “It took me a while to learn how to create it, still not used to having this ability but I only managed to create a Tulip, next time I see you I will show you a whole garden of flowers”
End of Flashback.
We had that conversation over 300 years ago already. Even when we finally did reunite and I lived with him and his coven, I didnt show him what I was working on with the time I was away from him. I am actually outside in the Volturi gardens creating a whole new garden with fresh new flowers that are both rare and exotic but also some common ones. I think what fascinated Aro about my ability is that I can create poisonous flowers that can knock out even the strongest of vampires out cold (I accidentally knocked him out the first month I was here for 5 days straight). And that was already 5 months ago since that “accident”, from that Aro just let me be in the garden alone and doesn't dare interrupt me unless I request his audience.
With my short time here, I actually became close to Marcus. Even though it took a while to get him to talk to me, I  caught him in the gardens one day and I saw he was overlooking a dying yellow lily. I instantly healed it, he turned to me slowly with a very small but very pleased look, he mentioned later that it was his late wife's favorite flower. He reminded me of Carlisle, we tend to talk a lot about plants and philosophy, we even had small arguments on certain philosophies. With Aro from the accident I'm still wary about him, he creeps me out sometimes and when he does that one laugh I don't know whether to hold in a laugh or wonder how such a laugh can come out of him. With the elite guards, we are slowly building trust with each other. Just the other day I managed to make Felix and Demetri laugh when I accidentally made an “erotic" looking plant. They reminded me of Emmett and Jasper. As with Jane and Alec, they are still wary of me, but I can see they are starting to warm up to me.
And how can I forget Caius? Having him as a mate has been interesting. I don't see him as often but when I do, he does a tactic of a quick and go. I could be doing something as reading a book in the King's private library when he appears and leaves a longing of his aura and then vanishes. It frustrates me so I decided to just ignore him.
Caius POV:
As soon as Jane came in with our “guest”, I felt a strange pull and was overcomed by the strong smell of roses. It was an addicting smell, I must know who it's coming from. I notice the human and internally I'm thinking “all this dramatic antics for this human? This Cullen boy was all set to end his immortal life because of her?” even I'm not that dramatic. I scanned the rest of the entourage and one of them reassembled as a human sized fairy, she’s almost the polar opposite of Jane. I didn't pay much attention to her for it being one of them caught me completely off guard. My mate… she's breathtaking, just from her looks I can tell she has an eye for art like me. Sadly her eyes are gold like the rest of the Cullen coven but that can easily be changed with time. It was not until Aro said she is Carlisle's twin sister that I lost it internally.
Why is life so unfair? Millenniums of existing and waiting for my mate to come along to find out she's the sister to the one person I absolutely despise . Out of everyone why a Cullen? The minute that “Vegetarian Doctor” left my respect for him vanished. But why is she avoiding eye contact with me? What has that Carlisle said about me? Great, I barely find out she's my mate and she hates me. Why would she hate me? I like to think I'm straightforward and speak my mind without hesitation, what is there not to like about me? I'm also quite dashing myself if I must say, I take a great deal of myself and I at least don't have that weird laugh Aro has.
As if on cue I heard Aro do that said strange laugh and I was snapped out of my thoughts to see Aro was holding her hand to read her thoughts, without a thought I hissed in displeasure. She's my mate, nobody can touch her but I. Have I always been possessive? Didn't think of myself as the possessive type, I'm just being reasonable. I must know what Aro has seen from her, I want to know everything there is to know about her, everything she has seen and done. Hopefully she has not been with another man or even a woman, I'm not judgemental, but it seems I also have a jealous side. What is wrong with me today? I am suddenly having all of these out of character personality, I blame her.
When she offered a deal, my anger took over and I said no deal, even if she said she was going to stay. Of course she's going to stay, she's my mate, in no way was I going to let her walk away after I waited millenniums for her. After my little outburst on her Aro said for Felix to take her to my chambers but the way she looked at him when she was grabbed by him made my eye twitch involuntary, I did that hiss sound and Felix immediately let go.
When the throne room was set for clear I had to go see her up close. When I arrived at my private chambers I noticed she was in a trance like state, as if reliving a past memory. Wanting to respect her I waited it out. She did after a while and that is when I striked first, with my speed I was in front of her gazing down on her, she's more beautiful up close. I think I might like the color amber now, the way her eyes are so full of light and warmth is so wonderful to witness. I leaned in thinking I might kiss her but I decided to tease her. I want her to be the one to break first even if I'm already secretly hopelessly falling for her.
Y/n POV
It has been a very confusing couple of weeks. I think I'm conflicted with whether I should keep ignoring Caius by not being flirty in return like he has been with me or should I just reciprocate the same behavior toward him. Trust me I do want to get out of this weird faze we are dealing with but the way that man is so bipolar sometimes is astonishing to witness. Our latest incident resulted in Felix and Demetri carrying me out of the library while Aro and Marcus consulted with Caius. The funny thing is Caius walked in all suave and flirty.
“You know I always find it difficult to look at you without falling in love with you”
Not wanting to give him a satisfaction that his words made me feel a certain way, I brushed him off
“So don't look at me, it's that simple”
“That simple? Have you no idea that when I look at you, all of the beautiful work you do in the gardens is put to shame with your beauty, how your voice is sweeter than the richest of blood, or how your eyes have conquered me?” he scoffs “As if that's simple amore”
I shut my book and set it on the table already getting sick and tired of his little suppose clever tactic to get me to confess my undying love to him
“You know you walk in here all suave and seductive or whatever you call this, and then you leave before I can say anything, in the 4 months I have been here, not once have you sat down with me and had a full on conversation with me”
“Well i'm a king, im busy, I have matters to take care of, things you would not know how to deal with”
Now it was my turn to scoff at him
“Busy? With what? I have talked with Marcus and he says you mostly are in the throne room looking at old text that I bet you have read at least a thousand times so far, your just avoiding me because i'm a Cullen, I am well aware you despise my brother and his coven”
That for sure shut him up but unfortunately what I said fuelled his anger.
“How dare you speak to me like that! Conspiring behind my back with my own brother! I have done nothing but be patient with you and been a great mate to you!?”
How can he say such a thing about being a great mate when there are times I don't see him for days and when he does appear it's only for a couple of minutes.
“You are unbelievable, you being a great mate to me? How can you say that when one) I don't even see you that often. two) you haven't even bothered to talk about actual things instead you seduce me and three) you just assume every time you flirt with me that I like it or I will return the favor. Well news flash I don't like it, maybe my brother was right about you”
Using his vampire speed he was up in my face in an instant glaring down on me, I might not be able to read his thoughts but just with his eyes you can see how pissed he is.
“Your brother!! Are you also conspiring with him about me behind my back! Some mate you are to me. I have been patient with you, I have been all sweet talk with you. How am I supposed to know what you like and don't like if you never speak up, I was starting to think you are mute”
I could now feel my own anger rising at his words
“Well maybe if you actually took time in your supposed busy day to sit down and talk to me I would start to open up to you and be more affectionate with you but I never say anything because you always vanish in a blink of an eye. Your so childish for doing that, hiding from someone who is a whole foot shorter than you, pathetic”
In all of my decades of existing as a Vampire, I have never been caught off guard until now. I was in a literal chokehold as I was kissed deeply by Caius. WAIT he's kissing me? H-how did this even happen? I was absolutely horrified by the turn of events. My reflexes finally kicked in I pushed him away roughly from me and I took several steps away from him. How dare he kiss me like that without my permission? Who the fuck does he think he is to even do such an action on me? To add to that, the freaking blonde had a small smirk but his eyes held a bit of pain and shock. I haven't the slightest idea of what to do next, I won't lie and say I didn't enjoy the kiss but I didn't want our first kiss to be like this.
We just stood in silence, I wanted to say something but I don't know what exactly, I must have been too deep in thought because when I looked up he was gone.
A/N: Ooooo cliffhanger, I had to do it, part two will come out at some point (to be honest I have not started to work on it yet but I have a basic idea of how it will end).

Note
I saw that someone asked for something related to a reader who drinks human blood, so A reader who is paired with someone from the Volturi or Romanian clan and in battle the Cullen's realize they are also their fated? Only if you want of course
The Cullens realizing they are fated to a member of the Volturi
I'm not too familiar with the members of the Volturi besides Aro, and I also don't know like anything about the Romanians. I'm a fake fan I know I just didn't care about them so I didn't make an effort to remember them I guess.
So to save myself the embarrassment of getting their characters horribly wrong I just decided to change your ask a tiny bit. So in this, the reader is part of the Volturi guard and is not dating anyone else.
Sorry it's not exactly what you asked for, but I wanted to give myself the best shot of actually making something good
Thank you for requesting and I hope you enjoy this!
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Edward:
He notices the new member of the guard immediately
But when his eyes lock with yours from across the clearing, he feels a warmth in his chest
From your thoughts, you feel it too
In the middle of the field, Carlisle and Aro are talking, trying to negotiate whatever it is that the Volturi believe the Cullens to have done this time
The conflict ends with no fighting, a heated argument was all that was needed
It hurts him to watch you leave, and he can see you hesitate before turning to join as the Volturi leave
Not even two days later you show up at the Cullens' doorstep, asking to join them
It definitely takes some adjusting to get used to their way of life
And your reception isn't too warm
Especially from Jasper
I mean literally like a week ago you were preparing to kill them all if it came down to it
Edward, of course, feels... weird... about his mate being one of his enemies
He needs a little bit to process this
He was supposed to hate the Volturi
But he gets over himself eventually
Tumblr media
Alice:
You can't surprise her
She had a vision that the Volturi was bringing the guard down upon them once more, and warned everyone to prepare
Throughout the week, she kept getting more visions of the fight, of things that could happen
But one day she saw Aro swear in a new member of the guard
And it changed the whole fight
The day of the confrontation, she spotted you in the line of defense
And her grin was so wide
She danced across the enemy lines, shocking everyone, as she embraced you and kissed you deeply
Everyone was so stunned that the fight ended then and there
She took you home obviously
She has absolutely no cares that you were supposed to be an enemy
You are her fated and she loves you
Everyone else can just get over themselves
Tumblr media
Jasper:
The fight broke out pretty quickly
Carlisle didn't even get to start negotiating before one of the younger members of the guard sprang and tried to attack
From there, all hell broke loose
Jasper was running around, trying to find his way to Alec when he heard Aro give an order for the "others" to come out
Instantly, a group of about 10 more vampires flew out from behind the treeline, and joined the fight
He instantly shifted his path, aiming for the new arrivals
He flies in, fists raised and teeth bared as he comes down upon you
As soon as he makes contact, he feels it
That burst of warmth and happiness he felt when he first met Alice
He falls back, staring at your face, as you stare back at him while holding the side of your face that he hit
With his hand, now stretched out in an apology, he helps you to your feet
The fight resolves with no casualties on either side
Only you and Jasper are nowhere to be found
Alice eventually finds you and helps you come back to the Cullen house and explain
Everyone is a bit skeptical at first, but once they see that you are willing to change your ways to adapt to being vegetarian, you are loved
Tumblr media
Rosalie:
It could only be called a petty fight
The Cullens were in Italy sightseeing
Rosalie had bought a stunning new dress in one of the shops, vintage and handmade, white silk with pearls sewn into the fabric
Since they were in the area, Carlisle made everyone go visit the Volturi
As everyone drew nearer to the castle, a scream rang out from the dungeons underneath, drawing closer
Suddenly a human, covered in blood and screaming, ran towards the Cullens
He threw himself onto Rosalie, begging for help
And he stained her new dress
Thus ensuing a fight between Rosalie and Emmett and the three guards who were in charge of making sure that none of the "food" escaped
Rosalie leaped up and pounced onto you, pinning you onto the ground
As she did so, she caught your scent in the air
She'd been too busy being angry before to notice, and it looked like you noticed too
The rest of the Cullens, who had been watching the fight unfold wearily, took the moment of hesitation between you two to break it all up
She was battling herself internally the whole time that Carlisle apologized to Aro, Caius, and Marcus
She's in denial mode sorry
But she comes around before the Cullens have to leave Italy and asks you if you want to come with them
You say yes ofc
Tumblr media
Emmett:
He's charging into the enemy lines, throwing other vampires in every direction
He's heading straight for Marcus when you get in his way
He raises his fists but as he looks at you he realizes that you are fated to be together
But that doesn't stop him from continuing to fight
He just doesn't fight you lol
Eventually everything comes to a halt
He's very conflicted
You are his enemy
He is supposed to do everything in his power to kill you
And not to mention he's with Rosalie and he loves her so much
He walks away from the fight without you and just tells you to leave
He feels so guilty
I feel like he'd try to forget about you
But once you show up at the Cullens' house, he can't deny you anymore
Tumblr media
Esme:
She's waiting with bated breath as Carlisle attempts to talk with Aro
She's standing in the defensive line of her family, right next to Edward
Suddenly she notices Edward whip his head back and forth between herself and another person on the other side of the field
She looks up at him and he looks extremely confused
When she follows his gaze, she sees you
And she immediately feels why Edward was so confused
The tension diffuses, Aro proclaiming his long-standing friendship with Carlisle once more before ordering everyone to leave
Only, you stay
You cross the field hesitantly, trying your best to show that you're not a threat
Esme is so happy
Even though she's only just met you, she loves you
She helps you to convert to their lifestyle and is so supportive
Yay
Tumblr media
Carlisle:
When Alice warned of the looming threat of an attack from the Volturi, he was instantly on alert
He prepared for the fight, hoping that no one would get hurt
When the day comes, the Volturi don't hesitate, and the battle ensues
He's fighting, currently engaged with someone else when you spring out of nowhere and latch onto his back
He whips around and flips you off of his back, launching you into a nearby tree
Only when he watches you fly away does he realize who you are, what you are to him
He stands there overwhelmed for a moment
He never wanted to fight to begin with
He yells Aro's name and demands a ceasefire for a moment
He takes the opportunity to help you back to your feet, sharing a loving look before he starts negotiating with Aro
After everything has diffused, he has a talk with you
If you want to come with him, if you felt what he felt, if you're alright
He doesn't care who you are or what you've done
Tumblr media
Vampire! Bella:
She's pissed off
She hates the Volturi
Like with a burning passion
So after the initial shock of feeling your presence across the field, she is so angry it's tangible
She wants to go over there and kill every one of you individually
The Volturi attempted to take everything that was precious to her
So she is not thrilled that you are fated
It takes her months to come around
But after so long and she still can't get you out of her mind, she flies to Italy to find you
She brings you back to the Cullens and begs Carlisle to let you stay
She comes around eventually
But just don't bring up too much of your past

It's all in the Costume
Tumblr media
It's all in the Costume : a poly!Volturi kings one-shot
Response to a request from @iloveslasher
Warning for four-way smut, 18 yo+ please.
You are the mate of a trio of very powerful vampire kings who co-rule the vampire world with an iron fist. To them though, you are their beloved human mate, the one who joined with them a year ago, willing and unafraid. Why would you fear them, when you love all three with all your heart.
They allowed you to remain human, but will soon discuss the need for you to accept the change. They love and care about you, and know your vulnerability as a mortal. They never wish to see you harmed in any way.
One day, you were in your room trying on your costume for an upcoming science fiction convention being held in Rome. You'd specially ordered the entire costume, your mates never denying you anything where money was concerned. You tried on the red satin dress with a full skirt that ended just below your butt. There was an overlay of black velvet that gave you small flairs hanging behind you, sure to draw attention to your backside when you walked. The finishing touch was a "Dracula" collar that wasn't attached to the dress, leaving your shoulders bare.
You pulled on a pair of black silk stockings that reached mid-thigh and tied to a garter belt with thin, nearly invisible garters. The length of the skirt and the height of the stockings left a few inches of bare skin showing. Lastly, you slipped into a pair of stiletto black heels. Your costume was complete. Only your hair and make up would need to be done on the day of the convention.
You twirled in front of the mirror, feeling very much like a gothic vampire. You needed to get into character though and had no one to play off. Maybe Felix would allow you to practice with him.
You were deep in thought while looking in your full length mirror, when you noticed the reflections of your mates standing behind you.
You turn to face them, then go to each to give them a welcoming kiss. "Good morning. Why are you here, Aro?"
"Do we need a reason to come visit our mate? We thought to see how you are, and find you dressed in..." He waves his hand up and down in front of you. "...this."
"I'm going to attend a science fiction convention in Rome Saturday with Felix as my guard." You smile at all three of your mates. "I'm a Gothic vampire," you explain cheerily.
"Who said you could attend this...convention, and in Rome?" Caius demanded. "We should be accompanying you."
You walk over to the blonde vampire and play with his shirt collar., kissing his cheek "Love, you would not enjoy yourself. In fact, I'm sure you would all hate it. Please, my darlings, Felix will be going with me, and he will protect me. He won't even need a costume. Anyone looking at him will think he's something...alien. He won't even have to wear contacts."
Noticing the sudden silence, you see all three of your mates looking over your costume, with the satin and lace dress barely holding in your breasts, and with the very, very short skirt and the thigh-high stockings that leave a few inches of bare thigh showing.
Aro tsks as he examines your outfit. "This is unsuitable clothing for the mate of the Volturi masters." His words don't match his reactions. You see him clenching and unclenching one hand. His eyes are dark crimson, telling you he does not disapprove of your appearance at all.
Marcus moves around you as if inspecting a prize horse. You follow him, turning with him until he stops in front of you, his eyes looking at you appreciatively. "It is a charming costume, my dear, " he says, his eyes darkening. Marcus is feeling sexually needy, but he is less inclined to show his need as overtly than either Aro or Caius.
You notice Caius staring at you, unblinking, his eyes having darkened to a deeper red.
"Is something wrong, my love?" you ask him.
His eyes rake up and down your body. He's made no secret of his desire lately to bed with you, but Aro has kept you busy with administrative tasks he allows you to work on around the castle to keep you from getting bored. Caius reaches down while you're trying to sway him, his hand caressing the skin bared by the short dress.
"The dress suits you, amore mio." Caius' actual goal is to remove it from you, and take you with all the pent-up passion built up over the past week.
Their passionate need for you is not hidden. Aro comes over to slip his arm around your waist. He gives you an all too innocent kiss on your cheek. Caius, on the other hand, stands on your other side and places his hand on the back of your neck, pulling you closer to kiss you with a desire that imparts his message. He wants you beneath him, his hard cock buried inside you while he teases your neck with his sharp teeth.
You look at all three of your mates. They have never taken you to bed as a group. Always, you spent time with each alone. The very idea of a foursome is already making you wet.
You need no words to tell your mates what you want.
You walk over to Aro and nuzzle his neck, the cold of his skin pleasant against your flushed skin. While you kiss him, your hands begin to unbutton his shirt, fingertips running down his chest, before you pull it off him and let it fall to the floor. When you pull back, you see his irises are black as night.
While Aro kicks off his shoes and socks, you move to Marcus, who has not budged at all. You offer him your lips which he takes with his in a passionate kiss. Your hands immediately divest him of his shirt as well. You feel his cool hands slide up and down your back. Turning away from him, you teasingly bend over to pick up both shirts and lay them on a chair. His eyes are now as black as Aro's.
Facing Caius, who has surprisingly proven to be more patient than usual, he pulls you to him with both arms, trapping you within his embrace. His mouth captures yours, sucking your breath inside his mouth. The soft noises you make spur him on, until he hears a protesting Aro.
"You may not keep our mate to yourself, brother, if she is willing to have us all." He holds out his hand to you and leads you to the massive bed the masters ordered for you on your arrival here a year ago. Up to now, you only ever shared it with one of your mates. Now it was going to be used for what it was built. You smile to think that it could be true.
"Caius, you prevented me from removing your shirt." You proceed to unbutton it, kissing his chest after each button is opened. "Kneel in front of me." Your eyes tell him its not a request. A smile slowly forms on his face as he complies with your command. Without warning, you place a shoe on his right shoulder and push backwards. He was unprepared for this and falls on his butt. He can see up the length of your legs and beneath the skirt, noticing the dampness on your red satin panties. The scent of your arousal wafts to him, causing his eyes to narrow in desire.
"Take them off," you tell him. You extend a leg whereupon Caius removes your heel and tosses it across the room. You repeat with your other leg, his hands removing that shoe and tossing it aside. This time he kisses the top of your foot before releasing it.
You turn to Aro, holding out your hands to him, your eyes demanding he come to you. When he does, you tell him to kneel and remove your left stocking. While he undoes the garter clip, you see Marcus standing to the side, jealousy written on his usually passive face. You wait until Aro has rolled your stocking down and off your leg.
Without a word, you step over to Marcus who knows what to do. He releases the garter clip and rolls the other stocking down while placing a kiss or two on your now bare leg, inhaling your sweet arousal. He takes the stocking and throws it over his shoulder. Placing his hands on your waist, he kisses your neck, grazing your skin with his teeth. You proceed to unbutton his shirt, and once it's open, you lick and suck on his nipples. Marcus throws his head back and groans, then tears his shirt off himself.
All your mates are nearly naked except for their black dress slacks. You have only the collar and short dress on. You reach up and remove the pointed collar. While all three men stare at you, you untie the bodice of the dress and let it all slide down your body to the floor. You're now clad only in your red satin panties with the garter belt.
Walking back to the bed, you crawl across the mattress, giving all your mates a tempting view of your rear. You lie back on a couple of stacked pillows to allow yourself to see everything. Caius is the first to approach the bed, with Aro and Marcus close behind. The three vampires join you, their hands caressing your bare legs, arms and torso.
Marcus lies on your left while Aro lies on your right. Caius is at your feet, his lips moving up your legs, kissing your warm flesh. When he reaches the center of your body, he takes off the garter belt and slips his fingers into your panties, pulling them off. You help by raising your hips off the bed briefly. You are fully exposed to your mate, who moves closer to your mound, inhaling deeply.
All you see now are three horny vampires with eyes black with desire and all hungry for you. When you feel a cold tongue slide between your lower lips, you arch your back and gasp. Aro leans over you and kisses you, his tongue between your lips since it is too dangerous for you to use your tongue in this manner. Marcus leans over your body, one hand caressing your far breast while his mouth carefully laps and suckles at the breast nearest him.
You twist your body in need, your senses beginning to become overwhelmed by what your mates are doing to you.
Caius has you so close to an orgasm, all you can do is breathe hard and whimper. "God, Caius, don't stop. I'm...so close." While he laps at both sides of your inner lips and sucks the hard bud of your clit, you feel him slide two fingers into your wet core, thrusting them in and out while his tongue continues its torture.
Finally, you cry out his name, your hips unable to stop moving while your inner muscles clamp on his invading fingers. You collapse back on the bed, your heart pounding in your chest. You reach up your hands to entangle themselves in Aro's and Marcus's hair.
Caius is about move to your side when you say, "Pants off!" Marcus moves the fastest and you grab his arm. In a low whisper, you order him to take you. "Fuck me, Marcus. Caius has prepared me for you. Now!" He needs no prodding, and positions himself over your body, then plunges into you, taking your breath away. He usually likes to get you used to his size, but not this time. He fills you completely, thrusting deeply.
You wrap your legs around his hips, pulling him down whenever he starts to rise off you. Aro kisses you, knowing he will be next. You feel Caius' cold hands kneading your breasts and arch your back into them.
An orgasm slams through you just as Marcus fills you with his cold seed. He is careful not to let his full weight on you, then rolls off you, his hand on your stomach while he lies next to you.
With other ideas, Aro lies on your other side, and pulls you on top of him. He brings your legs on either side of his hips, poking at your core with his hard and eager cock.
"Brother!" Caius protests angrily at being usurped. You reach out to touch his thigh, then wrap your hand around his cock, and begin to stroke it with a steady rhythm, tightening your grasp. He thrusts his hips forward into your hand and hisses with every other stroke.
You rise and fall over Aro, taking him into you as deeply as possible. When you start to circle your hips around, Aro's hands grip them, guiding them, rolling them while he thrusts upward, closing his eyes.
Feeling left out, Marcus moves behind you and slipping his fingers into your wet cunt, uses it as lubricant to push a long slender finger into your back hole while Aro fucks your cunt. You gasp and move your hips forward, until Marcus' finger slips out of you. Feeling empty, you push back against him and let him excite you as he wishes.
You pant loudly when Aro's cock causes you to climax hard, his thrusts only stopping when he cums inside you. "Miei dei, amore!" he cries out, before smiling up at you, opening his eyes to enjoy your pleasure expression, as he calls it.
He has barely moved from under you when Caius takes his place, pulling you back atop him. He thrusts in hard, his hands caressing your breasts.
Marcus slides up the bed to your left while you ride Caius, rubbing your back until he can tell you're about to climax again. Your hands press on Caius' chest, your nails unable to dig into his hard marble-like flesh. You cry out once before collapsing on your blonde mate, feeling him cum, his cold emission filling you.
The four of you finally rest, although your mates are fine. They know they can tire you out when you enjoy sex with them. This was more intense for you, and they assume you need rest, then perhaps a hot shower later to relax you.
You ask each of your mates to kiss you, telling them how much you love them. Each in turn whispers in your ear that they will love and adore you forever. Caius dresses and runs to the kitchen to get you a pot of hot tea. Aro cleans you up with a wet towel, while Marcus collects your scattered clothing, knowing you will still want to go to Rome Saturday.
oooooooooo
Saturday arrives, and you're dressed in your sexy Gothic Vampire costume, surrounded by three handsome vampires attired in their battle dress. No one at the convention knows these are real vampires, but they make such a fascinating foursome, many con goers ask to have their pictures taken with the Volturi masters and their human mate.
You laugh happily when Aro agrees to the first request, enjoying the sudden fame. Caius scowls until a pair of pretty young girls stands on either side of him, asking for a picture to be taken by a friend. He smirks and agrees, his arms draping around their shoulders, ignoring the smell of their rich blood.
Even Marcus is finding he has his fair share of admirers. This is very unlike anything he has ever experienced, but when he looks to you and sees you smile and wink at him, he acquiesces and allows costumed fans to have pictures taken with him.
You turn to Aro at some point and warn him, "Do not tell Felix we had fun, or he will hate me forever." Then you grin at him, flashing your fangs, causing Aro to roll his eyes. "Really, my dear?"
The End

Isso aqui foi uma brincadeira com o @deepseek, joguei o rascunho de uma long fic que estou escrevendo e a IA me deu essa inspiração com minha própria OC.
Bem, apreciem. Eu gostei.
Tumblr media
**One Shot: "O Sangue Antigo e o Amor Renascido"**
Avançou, estendendo a mão.
— *Posso?*
**Desejo.**
— *Você é extraordinária,* — ele sussurrou, quase sem fôlego.
Liany sentiu o coração—ainda batendo, ainda humano—acelerar.
E, contra todas as expectativas, ela sorriu.
— *Talvez eu fique.*
**Fim.**

Jane - Keeping you safe
Tumblr media
Jane x fem!vampire reader
warning : hurt/comfort, angst, crying, emotional
Summary : Jane from the Volturi Guard was one of the most notorious weapons of the powerful vampire clan. Proves useless in the fight against the Cullen. An incident that hits the blonde vampire hard to her own surprise. It hits her so hard that for centuries she felt again what she never wanted to feel again. Pain. A pain that only her love could somehow make up for, right?
masterlist
Info : There just need to be more for Jane especially on the f/f side so here I have made this angsty, comfort One-Shot because I could not get the Idea out of my head. Have fun reading because I had fun writing it ;)
Ps : I really don't like the beginning but I tried to write it new for like five times but hey here is the final version hope you like it. Also I hope she is not too out of character
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everyone knew Jane Volturi. Vampires knew of her special gift, perhaps even knew the pain she could inflict. It had been that way for hundreds of years, hundreds of years of causing pain to vampires and werewolves and humans.
Pain over pain, she had long forgotten her own pain, how the flames surrounded her and the redeeming bite. But all that was in the past and the blonde vampire had since she was with the Volturis finally found a task.
To serve them as a guard and enforcer her ability was one of the most important among the Volturi. She was the guard her master Aro called to bring an enemy to the ground.
But in all that time, in all that time, she had gained something else. Love. Found in another guard who came along and could anticipate the attacks of others.
But in Jane's eyes it was the nefariousness, the devotion in the execution and how she could avoid the pain. She was everything to the blonde and to her heart Jane was everything.
They were a duo they had powers that just seemed unstoppable. The two vampiresses were buddies. Jane herself had turned the two needed each other in an infinite life.
An infinite life in which they had each other. At least this was true up to the point when the Volturi found themselves in a fight with the Cullens who would not give up a wanted vampire.
Jane, Alec, Y/n and Felix would have won against all of them, killing the small group that consisted of Emmet, Esme, and Alice. If Bella had not joined them, they could have won.
She shielded the abilities of Alec and Jane, a fact that put the Volturi at a disadvantage. ,,It's not working," Jane muttered, her eyes wandering over the group, but none of them gave in, none of them turned in pain.
,,Different then," Felix replied and started to rush at the others while Alec followed and Jane was behind them after a short moment of thinking. ,,You will hand him to us," they heard Alec say, trying to get the law passed.
But while Bella kept the shield up, Y/n also used her powers on the others. They all dodged the attacks of the Cullens and did more than well, but it was especially Jane who was not up to the task.
The blonde, despite the support of her friend, let herself be hit more and more. Felix fought with Emmet and got along more than well against the younger.
There was no stronger and better fighter than the guard of the volturi. Alec took on Esme and there too the volturi seemed to take over. The vampire was agile but Alec was faster. The advantages of the blood drinker were clear.
Faster, stronger and more agile. Bella fought her against part Y/n the two opposites. One the shield and the other the anticipation of attacks. Two powerful talents that helped the group in their own way.
Only Jane and Alice seemed to be in a completely unbalanced relationship. The blonde of the two only dodged and still seemed to be hit very hard by the fact that she was no help. That her strength was no help when it mattered.
That she was of no use to the Volturi. That the fight itself was almost abnormal for her. She had relied on her powers for so long that the sheer act of fighting seemed almost abnormal.
Her movements were too uncertain, too slow, and fear appeared in her red eyes from time to time. Especially when Alice seemed to realize what the blonde had, she seemed sure of her victory.
Y/n felt the painful tingles go through her body as Jane was hit over and over again. And even though she cared about Bella, she knew it was only a matter of time here.
She saw the uncertainty rise in the young vampire's eyes as she dodged her attacks over and over again. Bella couldn't get her hands on her and had to take it herself. This has to end, she thought as she looked around.
She saw how the Cullens were backing away more and more, unable to fight the Volturi. All but one. ,,Stop it! Or I'll rip her head off!" Alice suddenly shouted and the vampires stopped moving.
Some of them, especially the Cullens, were relieved and the Volturi were tense. ,,Let's leave with him and nothing will happen to her," Esme said and Alec gave her a warning look, the red of his eyes meeting her golden ones.
Jane's heart looked at her other peers and saw the anger in Felix's eyes, who knew that for the first time they could not finish a task. ,,Go...now" said Y/n and let go of Bella in one swift movement hasttee to Jane who was let go by Alice and supported her. In the blink of an eye, the Cullens were gone and the Volturi were left behind.
Left behind was the group, the guard of vampire herders who had failed their task. ,,Are you all right?" asked her firm friend, still holding her. She was afraid that her buddy had more serious injuries than the ones that were visible.
But Felix didn't seem pleased at all, with a last disparaging look he disappeared and Alec seemed to give his sisters a quietly comforting look. ,,I'm fine," Jane hissed angrily and pushed her friend away harder than she ever had.
Before she even began to walk away from the square back to Volterra fully aware of her failure. ,,Let me help you," she muttered before heading off to Volterra herself. She knew that Jane had never had a defeat, that the pain she herself had suffered was one of the reasons for her refusal.
But the worst was yet to come. The disappointment and the warning of Aro that he gave them. The disappointment about their failure to catch the traitor, that they could not enforce the law. The warning that he would not tolerate another failure.
But all the while, Y/n saw Jane looking down, her hand wrapped around her arm, squeezing tighter and tighter. She was inflicting pain on herself, the feeling she hated the most.
Which was overcome by the love for her heart. But with the departure of the main hall, the guards retreated. But it was only a few moments later when she heard crashing and loud noises from the room of her love.
Sounds that made her feel uneasy, knowing that Jane had her emotions under control. Just tell me what's on your mind Jane she said worriedly as she walked out of her own room.
The young vampire went to Jane's room, knocked on the door and entered. But as soon as she entered, she dodged several pieces of destroyed furniture that Jane threw around in a fit of rage.
She had never seen her love so upset. She had always kept herself under control, she knew Jane and yet it hurt to see her so upset. The robe she liked to wear lay torn scattered around the room and the dark blouse and the dark red dress on her body was.
Clothes that her heart knew when they were together enjoyed infinity. ,,Jane?" she asked cautiously and saw the older woman stop in her movement.
The dresser she held in her hands fell to the floor with a crash as the blonde leaned almost helplessly against the stone wall and slid down it. The power seemed to leave her, which was actually not possible. ,,Go away," she said under her breath, hiding her face in her hands.
It reminded her of a child who didn't know what to do, who had never learned to deal with failure. ,,I know it's hard" she started and slowly walked towards Jane but the blonde only shook her head, ,,No you don't".
While Jane seemed to make herself even smaller as Y/n approached her and slowly crouched in front of her. Her cold hands slid to Jane's and took them from her face.
To her pain and horror she saw bloody tears running down Jane's cheeks. The pale blue skin only seemed to have a greater contrast and she seemed even more dead.
She offered her immortal existence. ,,I-I should have done something," she murmured slowly, revealing her pain and making herself vulnerable. Something she would never do, she had always been afraid to show emotions and when she did it was joy when she could inflict pain on others.
But now everything seemed different. ,,I...was useless, I did nothing. My power was...was worth nothing" she mumbled and more bloody tears ran down her cheeks as she was slowly embraced by her love.
She told her that everything would be fine. She tried to take away her pain. ,,You are worth all infinity to me Jane, I am here for you" she said and pulled her closer.
She tried to take away her pain and knew that Aro's words had hit the blonde hard. ,,But for him...for Aro-I let him down," it came slowly over her lips as the blonde slowly calmed down. The love she felt, the support, the unbreakable bond between them gave her what she needed.
Slowly she took Jane's face in her hands and wiped away her tears. Kissed the bloody spots and took it upon herself to organize blood for their love as soon as possible. Stroked her cheek lovingly something that seemed almost surreal between the two immortal beings.
In the building where you would least expect love. ,,You did not disappoint him. It's Bella we have to take out and then you're everything to him...I won't leave you Jane I'll support you I'll protect you through anything as long as you never have to feel pain again" she murmured showing her the plan the only way the Voolturi could continue to exercise the right.
She saw how the red eyes of the blonde slowly closed again the emotions had come back under control.
The superiority returned to her gaze and she slowly stood up. The hand of her beloved enclosed and she was again the Jane she knew.
But she would love all of Jane's sides as Jane loved everything about her. ,,Call the others, we're going on a hunt" she ordered before getting a new coat and her heart went out to the other guards.
A mission led by Jane, knowing that if it failed again, loss and death awaited the Volturi. But this risk they took.
The entire guard, except for a few who remained in Volterra to protect the three, set out. Jane was in the lead and her lover at her side. It was a battle of forceful power, a battle that Alice did not see coming, because that love between Jane and Y/n did not seem to enter into her gift.
It was an attack with success at the end of which the Cullen Clun was wiped out. At the end of which Jane was again the strongest weapon of the Volturi. She got back the respect of Aro.
The love between her and her heart never seemed so strong. In the end Jane was protected by Y/n. They finally had infinity again without fear and worry. They were finally everything again.
Pride
Based on this request: Hi ! Is it possible to request something with Aro Volturi, please ? With Aro’s mate (newly found/turned), basically being a smart-ass and sarcastically kicking buts, and Aro behind being so proud behind her (kind of like Jake Peralta, “Chills, literal chills”) ? Thank you very much !
Here you go! I did change it just a little bit to better fit the flow I wanted with the story. *Familiar characters are NEVER mine!*
Fandom: Twilight
Warnings: None? Mentions of training, some fluff. Reader is sassy. Post books/movies.
Pairings/Characters: Aro Volturi x fem!vampire reader, mentions of the other Volturi leaders, The Olympic Coven.
Tumblr media
Aro heard what sounded like two boulders crashing together. It didn't take long for him to realize that two vampires were fighting. Whether it was a real fight or simply training, he didn't know, but he needed to find out. After all, he and his brothers were in Forks to check up on the Olympic Coven. They needed to be certain everything was being handled accordingly.
          The three Volturi leaders followed the sound of the fight until they came upon a large open meadow. One of the Cullens was laughing, clearly engaged in a mock fight with another vampire that the Volturi did not recognize. "Come on, Emmett! I thought you were supposed to be the strongest vampire here!" the new vampire sassed. Emmett laughed again.
          "You've got newborn strength on your side," he playfully pouted. You scoffed and rolled your eyes. "Excuses. Excuses. If you can't handle me, why don't you just-" you cut off as you turned your eyes on the newcomers. Your red eyes met Aro's and the leader nearly sank to his knees.
          Aro prided himself on his composure in all situations but one look at you had his undead heart nearly thundering out of his chest. A sense of loyalty and possessive protectiveness consumed Aro in an instant. There was only one thing it could mean. After thousands of years, Aro had FINALLY found his mate.
          "Aro. Marcus. Caius," Carlisle greeted. Edward and Bella, who had been watching the fight, were instantly on edge upon Carlisle's greeting. The two of them were still sharing a "them.vs.us" mentality of the Volturi after nearly 20 years since the incident of the trial about Renesmee. The others had calmed a bit more and Carlisle and Esme had attempted to repair relationships between their coven and the Volturi.
          Aro heard Carlisle's greeting, but could not tear his eyes off of you. You cocked your head to the side as a dozen emotions crossed your features at once. Edward grew even more on edge after a moment and Aro was certain he'd read your thoughts. The emotions of newborn vampires are intense beyond measure and Edward was probably worried as to what was about to happen.
          "C-Carlisle?" The leader of the coven turned his attention to you, earning a soft growl from Aro. Carlisle froze, glancing between you and Aro for a moment. His eyes lit up in understanding. "Oh. Aro, is she…?" Aro didn't reply so Carlisle turned to Marcus, who nodded after using his gift. "I see. Y/N, this is Aro, a dear friend and one of the leaders of the Volturi. Aro, Marcus, Caius; this is Y/N."
          "Well, there goes my sparring partner," Emmett grumbled, causing you to raise a brow at him. "Surely the leaders of the most powerful coven in the world see the need for training?" Carlisle glanced at Aro again. "Of course they do, Y/N. But as Aro's m-" The vampire in question shot Carlisle a look telling him that now wasn't the time. You crossed your arms over your chest and frowned. "I don't like being kept in the dark. What is going on here?"
          Everyone in the Olympic Coven tensed as you stared at Aro. He was honestly surprised at your courage. The air grew more tense as you waited for someone to respond. Everyone could see that you were ready to run or fight if someone didn't say something soon. Your newborn emotions were beginning to get the better of you until Jasper sent a wave of calm in your direction. Aro had never been more grateful for the empath.
          "You are right, mia regina," Aro began slowly and softly, as if you were a frightened animal. "Stop messing with my emotions, Jasper. I'm in control," you stated before turning your attention back to Aro and asking, "What am I to you? Why are you looking at me like I hung the moon in the sky?" Aro wanted to chuckle. You were intelligent too, or at the very least, highly observant.
          "Maybe we should give them a moment," Carlisle softly suggested, "Though Jasper could stay, should he need to." You rolled your eyes again. "Dammit, Carlisle, I am perfectly capable of managing my temper. I'm not some hormonal teenage girl on her period, but if you keep walking on eggshells around me, I'm sure I could convince Jasper to make you feel like one." Used to your sass by that point, Carlisle chuckled and motioned for the rest of the Cullens to leave. Marcus and Caius followed, leaving you and Aro alone.
          You turned back to Aro with your arms still crossed over your chest. For a moment, neither of you said a word and Aro could see that you were becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the silence. He didn't want that, so he spoke. "How long have you been one of our kind?" You arched a brow. "A few months. I-I don't have a gift, if that's what you're after. Edward said-"
          "That boy is vexing at the best of times and overly dramatic at the worst. He is fortunate I respect my friendship with Carlisle. Yes, the Volturi pride ourselves on our guard and their gifts, but that has nothing to do with this, mi amore." Your face scrunched in an adorable manner as you processed what he said. "Then what is this exactly? Because I'll be honest, I am completely confused as to why one of the leaders of the Volturi is looking at me the way you are now."
          "How much have you been taught about the life of a vampire?" You shrugged and answered that Carlisle had taught you quite a bit. "I see, and has Carlisle spoken to you about mates?" You instantly froze. It was obvious that you immediately understood what Aro was getting at. "You don't mean that I-I mean…that I am your mate, do you?" Aro nodded. "You are. Surely you can feel it? Though, with your rather…intense newborn senses, you may not fully understand what it is you're feeling in the moment."
          You paused for a moment, staring at Aro intently. Aro, for his part, waited rather impatiently for you to say something. "What happens now?" you finally asked softly. Aro so desperately wanted to order you around. Tell you that you would come to Volterra with him without a fight. But something told him that would not go over well. He didn't want you to be unhappy or feel like you were forced into the situation.
          "I understand that the world has a lot to offer to a new vampire. It pains me to think about being apart from you, but if you wish to explore the world for a while after your newborn year is finished, you could. I would ask that you keep in touch, however. Not knowing that you are safe would be…It is not something either of us should wish to experience."
"Or, and hear me out, you could join me?" you suggested. Now that your mind had processed everything, you were able to think rationally. Aro blinked for a moment in surprise before smiling. "I suppose that could be arranged." You beamed up at him, but the smile quickly faded from your lips. Aro was about to ask why when Emmett reappeared, launching himself at you. You caught the bigger vampire by the arm and tossed him deeper into the woods. Then, after blowing a kiss to Aro, you chased after Emmett. Aro watched you go with a look a pride all over his face. That was his mate.
(a/n: I hope this is what you were looking for!)
For you and vinelle: You're given complete free reign over an adaptation of the twilight series, SMeyer's opinions be damned. What major adaptational choices are you making in this series (especially in terms of differences to the plot of all four books)? Who (if not yourselves) are you hiring to write, direct, and score the series? What's a really memorable scene people will take away from your adaptation?
You know this would never happen, right?
I mean, I'm not even in this position, but if I was no studio would ever, ever, give me or any director full reign over Twilight of all things. It would be very clear what's expected from such a venture and it's... more or less what we got in the Twilight films.
But since we're here, let's do this. I have entirely too many thoughts on how I'd do this.
What Changes Are You Making?
Everything.
It's now a single, though very long, film (probably with an intermission like ye olden days) that starts before canon when Carlisle Cullen is turned and the Twilight saga is merely the second half of the film.
The plot itself is the same as Twilight, the same things happen, but it's from an entirely different perspective.
It covers his turning, his stay in Volterra where he discovers he's not a demon but that this world exists on bloodshed and murder and that Aro while an intellectual is an unrepentant warlord, his leaving and attempting to find like peers, and cutting forward to the Twilight saga where he watches in baffled confusion and hope the terror the whirlwind romance of Edward and Bella through to the trial.
It's ultimately a tragedy about a man who despite or perhaps because of his ceaseless optimism and stubbornness ends up in this unenviable position where he may or may not have topple the brutal (though perhaps necessary) ruling power who happens to be his old best friend who may or may not be trying to kill him.
The ending he knows that either his family will be murdered one day or this man will die and the world will change greatly because of it. Carlisle stares off into the sunset and tries, and fails, to look happy about the fact that he saved his granddaughter whose parents are utterly terrible.
What's Production Like
We're going back in time and David Lean is directing with Freddie Young doing cinematography (a lot of wide angle shots of the forests/London where Carlisle tries to kill himself, Tuscany, the Olympic mountains, and more) and Jarre doing the soundtrack.
@therealvinelle and I are writing the script because I trust myself with this.
What Scene Do People Remember
The trial, particularly Irina being lit on fire, would be extremely memorable I imagine. As would Edward meeting the Volturi for the first time.
Feel free to add or else fight me, @therealvinelle
In a hidden corner of the ancient woodland, bathed in the soft, golden glow of the setting sun, a tiny woodland fairy (Y/N) flitted gracefully through the air. She was no larger than a dandelion puff, her iridescent wings shimmering with each delicate flutter. Her mission this evening was simple - to gather boggle cap tops and fragrant flowers to adorn her cozy little home nestled within the hollow of an ancient oak tree.
(Y/N) darted from one flower to another, her laughter like the tinkling of a distant wind chime. With nimble fingers, she plucked the petals of a dew-kissed wildflower, all the while imagining how they would brighten her tiny abode. Lost in her world of flora and whimsy, she didn't notice the towering figure of a man approaching.
Felix, a formidable vampire with rippling muscles and a chiseled jawline, moved through the forest with an eerie grace that belied his imposing presence. He was on a solitary walk, deep in thought, when an unexpected gust of wind swept (Y/N) off course. With a gasp, she collided with his chest, knocking the wind out of her, quite literally.
Startled, Felix instinctively reached out to catch whatever had just crashed into him. In his massive, open palm, he found himself holding the tiniest being he had ever seen. A creature so delicate, so ethereal, it could only be the stuff of legends.
"What a surprise we have here," Felix mused, his voice a deep rumble that (Y/N) felt rather than heard. He marveled at the tiny being he held, her translucent wings fluttering desperately to regain her composure.
(Y/N), on the other hand, was equally awestruck. Her wide, sparkling eyes took in the towering figure before her, his crimson eyes and pale skin telling her all she needed to know. She had heard tales of vampires, creatures of the night, but had never imagined she would encounter one up close.
As Felix examined her with a mix of curiosity and amusement, they both spoke in unison, their voices overlapping in a bizarre coincidence. "What are you?"
Their synchronized query left them momentarily dumbfounded, but it was Felix who broke the silence. "I'm a vampire," he declared, his gaze locked on her. "Now then, what are you?"
(Y/N) gathered her composure and replied, "I'm a fairy," her tiny voice ringing with a mixture of pride and wonder.
Felix's lips curled into a wry smile as he considered the possibilities. "Interesting," he murmured. "My masters, the Volturi Kings, would probably want to meet you. Would you be willing to accompany me to them?"
(Y/N) hesitated for only a moment before nodding. She had always been curious about the world beyond her woodland home, and this encounter promised an adventure unlike any she had ever imagined. With a sense of anticipation, she remained perched in the palm of Felix's hand as he set off on a journey that would change both their lives forever.
Felix returned to the imposing fortress of the Volturi, the ancient stone walls and eerie silence of the place contrasting sharply with the vibrant world from which he had come. In the palm of his hand, nestled amidst the swirl of his dark cloak, (Y/N) clung to a strand of his clothing, her heart aflutter with a mixture of anticipation and trepidation.
As Felix entered the grand hall where the three Volturi kings resided, his voice echoed through the cavernous chamber. "Masters, I bring you a most extraordinary guest."
Aro, the ancient and charismatic leader of the Volturi, turned his crimson eyes toward Felix, his features alight with curiosity. Marcus, the somber and introspective king, regarded Felix with a gaze as penetrating as the shadows that clung to him. Caius, the most imposing of the three with a demeanor as cold as ice, observed the proceedings with an air of detached indifference.
Felix recounted the story of his chance encounter with the tiny fairy, (Y/N), and how their simultaneous question had sparked this unusual alliance. As he spoke, Marcus, the most attuned to emotions among the Volturi, felt a peculiar sensation. It was like the faint stirrings of a bond he hadn't experienced in centuries.
The bond, however, was not limited to him alone. As Marcus delved deeper into the sensation, he realized that it extended, tendrils of emotion, reaching out to touch not only him but also Aro and Caius. It was as if this tiny being in Felix's palm had ignited a connection that bound them together.
Marcus met Aro's gaze, and without words, he conveyed his discovery. Aro's eyes widened with intrigue, and he nodded in understanding. Caius, on the other hand, seemed indifferent to the revelation.
With an air of expectation, Aro approached Felix and the small fairy. He extended a slender hand, and Felix carefully transferred (Y/N) into Aro's palm. The fairy stood there, her heart pounding, as Aro examined her with a bemused expression.
"Interesting," Aro murmured, his voice a velvety whisper. "Such a rare and exquisite creature."
Caius, who had been watching from the sidelines, couldn't resist the pull of curiosity any longer. He reached out and gently cupped (Y/N) in his hand, his cold skin contrasting with her warmth. Her miniature form seemed even smaller against his massive palm, but she held her composure, her wide eyes flitting between the three kings.
Caius, Aro, and Marcus leaned in, their expressions filled with fascination as they admired the tiny fairy before them. And just as (Y/N) had marveled at their vampiric beauty, she found herself flustered yet enchanted by the kings' ethereal grace and handsomeness.
With her heart fluttering like a hummingbird's wings, (Y/N) realized that her adventure had taken an unexpected turn. She was now the center of attention among the most powerful vampires in existence, and the enchantment of their world was beginning to weave its magic around her in ways she could never have imagined.
Aro, the enigmatic leader of the Volturi, continued to study (Y/N) with fascination as she now stood in the palm of his hand. Her ethereal beauty and innocence intrigued him, and he couldn't help but find her presence captivating.
With an air of gentleness that contrasted with his usual demeanor, Aro began to speak to (Y/N). "My dear, I must explain that we are not like the creatures you are familiar with. We are vampires, though I’m sure our guard felix told you of our species. We vampires are immortal beings who feed on blood to survive."
(Y/N), who had never heard of vampires or their dark nature, simply nodded, assuming Aro was merely explaining his kind to her. "I see," she replied, her voice tinged with curiosity. "I am a woodland fairy, a guardian of the forest. We live in harmony with nature, nurturing the plants and creatures that inhabit our realm."
Marcus, the quieter and more introspective of the Volturi kings, couldn't help but feel sympathy for the tiny fairy. He decided to share another piece of information that would undoubtedly surprise her. "You see, (Y/N), there's something else you should know. Vampires have mates, like soulmates. It's a bond that goes beyond our understanding."
(Y/N) furrowed her tiny brow, not quite comprehending. "Mates? I've never heard of such a thing among my kind. We exist to protect and preserve the balance of the forest, but we don't have mates."
Caius, the most imposing of the Volturi kings, leaned in closer to (Y/N) and explained in a surprisingly gentle tone, "Mates are like soulmates as Marcus has said, and you just so happen to be ours therefore our souls are now linked to your existence, and we can't let you leave."
Confusion welled up within (Y/N). She loved the forest and being with nature, and the thought of not returning to her home saddened her. The three kings, sensitive to her emotions, proposed a solution.
Aro spoke, "We can build you a small house in our garden. You can be close to nature, and we can be close to you."
Although it was a generous offer, (Y/N) couldn't help but question it. "But why can't I go back to my home in the forest?"
Aro, ever the strategist, decided to stretch the truth to ensure her compliance. "The further you are from your mate, the weaker it makes the vampires. Eventually, it could even lead to our demise."
Hearing this, (Y/N) was filled with concern for her newfound friends. She didn't want to be the cause of their suffering. With a heavy heart, she agreed to stay in the garden with them, trusting their words.
Aro turned his attention to Alec and Jane, two of his loyal guards. "Alec, Jane, please retrieve the things from (Y/N)'s little house in the forest. We will make her feel at home here."
As the two vampires departed on their mission, (Y/N) couldn't shake the feeling that her life had taken an unexpected turn, and the enigmatic bond with these vampire kings would forever alter her existence.
The Volturi kings watched with a mixture of relief and elation as (Y/N) agreed to stay with them in their garden. The fact that they didn't have to resort to force or Chelsea’s manipulation abilities, filled them with a sense of contentment they rarely experienced. To them, she was more than just a rare and beautiful creature; she was their perfect mate.
As (Y/N) spoke animatedly about where she would place her belongings in the garden and how she would decorate it to fit her needs, the kings sat in a contemplative silence. Dark thoughts swirled in their minds like a storm on the horizon.
Aro, with his uncanny ability to see into the future, envisioned a world where (Y/N) would never leave their side. He saw himself as her protector, ensuring that she would never be harmed by anyone, and those who dared to threaten her would face the full extent of his wrath.
Marcus, whose empathy allowed him to sense the emotions of others, felt a growing sense of possessiveness towards (Y/N). He couldn't bear the thought of her being with anyone else, and the idea of her happiness being dependent on them was intoxicating.
Caius, who had always been the most cold and ruthless of the trio, surprised even himself with the intensity of his feelings for (Y/N). He imagined a future where they would be inseparable, where he would be her shelter from the world, and where anyone who dared to hurt her would face a punishment beyond measure.
Their fixation on (Y/N) was all-consuming, and they couldn't help but revel in the darkness of their desires. To them, she was the embodiment of perfection, the one they had longed for, and they were willing to do whatever it took to ensure she would never leave their side.
As (Y/N) continued to share her plans for her new life in the garden, the Volturi kings sat in silence, their minds filled with possessive thoughts and an unwavering determination to keep her with them, no matter the cost.
Watching Breaking Dawn Part 2, the mixed bag of all mixed bags. Slow as molasses and boring as hell, but most of the cringey lines have all but vanished and there is (some) competency in (some) of the filmmaking. Let me count the ways…
Bella spoke literally 1 word after her transformation. In the books, she said “I love you.” In the movie, “Renesmee.” Fine, except she doesn’t say “I love you” to Edward…le sigh.
Man, BD is really where they decided to say “fuck it” and ditch the unnatural pallor of the vampires, because Vampire Bella does not look at all different from Human Bella (okay, granted, her wardrobe is subtly different, but not by much). It’s a tribute to Stewart’s acting that you can even register a massive change
The Loch Ness Monster scene began okay/funny and then it was ruined re: 1) Bella punching Jacob (just no) 2) actually showing Bella hitting poor Seth and 3) actually keeping the somber tone. Lighten up, movie! What’s with this movie series and making the fun parts of the book so damn dull?
Not Jacob phasing just a few feet from Charlie and the movie making it so dramatic with a growly wolf when phasing is almost instantaneous and Jacob is in complete control of his wolf form 😑
The little girl actress for Renesmee is adorable. Such a relief after the horrors of the CGI baby.
Garrett’s “British invasion” introduction is hilarious, 💯 Good job, movie
Vladimir and Stefan are Vampire Diaries-rejects horrors, though. 🤮 They are literally thousands of years old and yet look like they just came from Hot Topic. Ew, ew, ew
Bella’s shield special effect…yuck, yuck, yuck. Why couldn’t they do it like Harry Potter did the wards? That wasn’t too bad. So damn corny
Wow, they robbed poor J. Jenks of any and all personality, didn’t they? His parts were actually one of the best of the books for me. They felt mature, like actual adult instead of YA. Instead, it’s all blah. Also, no oyster satin cocktail dress!! The one time Bella chooses to dress up and chose her own dressy clothing, showing her maturity and arc!!!! Meanwhile they just garb Stewart in a really modern dress that barely looks different than her usual outfits!!! Damn it, movie!!!!
Edward: “To think, all of these people are risking their lives because I fell in love with a human.” What. The. Fuck Movie????? In what universe would Edward even think this???? The Screenwriter Cannot Write Edward Cullen For Shit Number 383782838
Edward: “I never thanked you, Carlisle. For this extraordinary life.” Okay, so the script has (1) braincell regarding his arc, no doubt because Meyer was there as producer. Too bad it does a piss-poor job of showing it
“The redcoats are coming, the redcoats are coming.” Garrett, as always, is the best.
Aro: “Ahh…Young Bella.” 🇮🇹 Also, why does he sound like he wants to fuck Bella? Why that particular relish in his line reading?
No one: Not a soul: Look how nothing this nothing is: Aro: *weird ass high-pitched ahahhehhaggahahah sound* And of course it’d be in response to *just* noticing Renesmee’s heartbeat when every vampire can and should hear it immediately. 🤦‍♀️
I like how Patt!Edward has to stumble a bit and then fall whenever Jane is torturing him. And by like I mean hate with all the fervor of my being. By that token, I also “like” Jane literally saying “Pain”
They introduce Alice returning so casually…where is the tension, Alice’s O.S. voice, everyone turning, all the “Alices”? Nope, just a brief distance shot. There she is! Smh
I hate the fake-out fight scene of Alice’s vision
I hate the fake-out fight scene of Alice’s vision
I hate the fake-out fight scene—
Okay, so regardless of what you feel about the lack of battle scenes in Breaking Dawn…it did make sense. There was no way for any semblance of a happy ending to occur had the Volturi decided to come to blows. Full-on mask off isn’t their MO anyway. The way the trial scene (yes, it is basically a trial à la Merchant of Venice) was set up, with witnesses and objections and the like, made sense and the tension was riveting. Also, in bringing Nahuel Alice foiled any rationale for the Volturi’s planned takeover, so there was absolutely no need for the canon-breaking vision
Second of all, a fake-out scene is much more disappointing and/or infuriating than the book’s scene. All of that tragedy and death and it just turns out to be fake? Fuck that. But ofc movie has to movie for the dudebros in the audience (!!) despite the fact that this series has and always was a romance first
Third of all, the way it was all executed…Bella not being an immediate target even though the Volturi must at least suspect her shield is so damn convenient. Babe, she would have been one of the firsts to go. Other bad shit: Edward leaping out of the crater, his skirmish with Aro…bleugh
Okay, there are some good parts: The Bella-Jane stand-off, Seth’s death, Leah saving Esme (good callback), Marcus’s “Finally” (in-character). But it’s just not worth it
The way they garbed Nahuel…it may be well-researched for all I know, but knowing Hollywood, I highly doubt it. As it is, it looks grossly stereotypical to me
Oh, God, the script for Nahuel’s part is so little emotive, it’s like a summary. Nothing compared to the book. He had such personality and the way he spoke of his father…you could just taste the drama
“We will not fight…today.” Movie-verse only, but I do have to wonder if Meyer will ever bring the Volturi back and have them kill off some characters. Not really the type of author to do this, though
And of course they have to have a moment between Bella and Wolf!Jacob for no good reason, even though Jacob should be all about the Renesmee now. Nope, the movies are still on their Bella/Jacob bullshit
“So should I call you Dad now?” Yes, feed the antis, movie.
Speaking of feeding the antis, Alice’s vision of Jacob/Renesmee!!! I know the movie threw out the whole Alice-cannot-see-werewolves-or-hybrids out the window just from the fake-fight alone, but ugh. Ugh. Meanwhile Book!Jacob literally did not give a fuck either way about Renesmee coming of age in 7 years
The actress for Adult Renesmee looks really nice, though. I’ll give it that
That Bella-shows-Edward her thoughts montage was nicely edited, with good transitions. But unfortunately it reminds me of all the bad directorial choices of the prior movies and so alas it’s just cringe to me
Book!Edward after Bella shows him his thoughts: hfgkzoycychohh!!!!! 🥵🥵🥵🥵 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Movie!Edward: How did you do that? 😑 Fuck you too, movie
I probably should feel something about the credits montage…but I don’t. They include everyone, even minor characters!!!! Please…just don’t
could you do headcanons on the volturi having a mate who sings in the shower? like they don’t realize the vampires can hear them yk
Slow and steady wins the race right? I'm starting to work more on request, i know I been lacking but school really does keep me occupied. I hope this makes up for it. Enjoy💙
Singing In The Shower
Warnings: none that I am aware of
Tumblr media
Felix:
The song choice “Toxic” by Britney Spears
For some reason whenever you heard that song you just thought of him, so of course you added that to your playlist that you listen to when you shower
So currently you find yourself belting this song with all your might without a single care in the world
You don't even realize that everyone in the castle can hear you
Every. Single. Vampire. Can. Hear. You.
Everyone was scattered around the castle but they stopped as you started singing this song
Everyone basically gravitated toward Felix
“Is that your mate?”
“Is she okay?”
“Why is she singing that song”
“Will someone stop that”
Felix loves to hear you sing, he thinks you sound like an angel but he does get slightly flustered when people bring up your singing
When he does confront you, he’s a bit smug about it
Clearly he knows that song is dedicated to him so he will respond with a “Well well, aren't we feeling scandalous today?”
When he tells you that the others can hear you singing, obviously you're embarrassed but at the end of the day when Demetri tells you that when you sing, Felix gets flustered
It's worth it without a doubt
You will keep singing and Felix won't stop you because he enjoys hearing you sing, even if your song choices get a bit….explicit (he’s into that anyways)
Tumblr media
Demetri:
Song choice “Brooklyn Baby” by Lana Del Rey
This vampire would join in if this was the case
To the cheesiest of pop songs, to the most explicit rap song to a simple ballad that hits you in the soul, he will sing them with you (language is of no concern for him, he does after all know multiple languages)
He will tend to add songs into your “Shower playlist” that he would want to hear you sing or ones where you and him can duet
He really does not care if others can hear you, he actually thinks of it as a mini concert in the bathroom.
He even manage to add color changing bulbs to create that feeling of a rock concert
Felix might tease you guys but those mini shower concerts are one of the many things you and Demetri bond over
So yea the kings might have a talk with him about being able to hear “such vulgar” songs (mostly Caius thinking, Aro is intrigue while Marcus is whatever)
But that just makes him want to let you do you, he would never want to stop you in doing something you love
What he likes the most about you singing in the shower is how you manage to outshine him during a rap song
He is shock how you manage to say all of the words without missing a beat
When you first found out the others can hear you (after many showers later), you were absolutely mortified at the realization
What do you mean they can hear me Demetri?” You guys have super hearing????
After many reassurance he tells you it's no problem  and that you singing in the shower is one of the highlights of his day (he likes that quirk of yours)
Tumblr media
Alec:
“Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter (before anyone comes out for me, I thought of this song for Alec because I was thinking about that one-shot I wrote for him called ‘Better than a Cup of Coffee’ plus this song wont leave my mind, i'm always ‘now he’s thinking bout me every night, isn't that sweet?’)
It started off as any other lovely day, you were getting ready to take your well needed shower, but couldn't start it until you got your music set
As soon as the song above goes on you start grooving to it and singing it, not really thinking twice about it
It was even your first time ever singing in the shower in the castle so again you didn't think twice
But before you can even get to the last verse of the song, Alec appears on the other side of the shower door staring at you
(A little jump scare to be honest) while his face holds no emotion or reaction
He informs you he could hear you all the way from the throne room
Instantly your heart drops and the color to your skin starts to loose its normal color at his words
Your his shy, introverted, and calm mate yet here you are here acting the total opposite, everyone knows how you are so they don't try to push you out of your comfort zone but hearing you sing such a pump up song leaves them shook
At that moment you want to want the earth to just swallow you from the pure embarrassment that you were facing
Alec being the darling he is, was comforting you and telling you “i thought you had such a sweet voice cara, i could get used to it”
His words touch your heart but you still feel worried of when you have to face the others
“I will be there for you, if they say something I'll use my gift, hmm?”
So much for thinking about coffee in the shower
Tumblr media
Jane:
“Mi Niña Traviesa” by Luis Coronel
She’s the one mortified here
Not that your singing is bad to her (sure your voice might of cracked slightly but she secretly thought it was cute) it's just the others started to tease her
She’s very protective of you, so hearing others making fun of you awakens her right away
She won't hesitate to use her gift on others
As for you side, your not even aware of what is happening to her or that others can hear you
For a while she does not confront you about your singing in the shower because she knows it would embarrass you
Until two certain vamps who like to joke around and spend hours with you when Jane is away on a mission spilled the news
They said it casually, they asked you what that song (from above) you were singing called
You felt your soul leave your body, they heard me!?
You sat there as you felt yourself slowly shutting down from embarrassment and while Felix and Demetri just kept on talking about it, unaware of your state
You eventually left them and went off to your shared room
You have never felt such embarrassment in your life
About to curl up a sharp yet soft voice stopped you
“Who made you cry?”
You didn’t even realize that you had small tears coming down until Jane pointed it out
She was by your side immediately and it is when you tell her
She freezes for a moment thinking she might as well reveal the truth
When you hear her say this you felt even worse but she mentioned you sounded like an angel
She didn't tell you because she knew you would stop
With her saying she likes your singing you promised her you would sing for her sometimes if she joins you in the shower
Do you or muffin have any plans in the future to write about the volturi pre-twilight? Maybe a book of one-shots featuring how Aro and renata met or how didyme died ?
We thought about a oneshot explaining how it went down when Didyme was turned, we were going to write it, but then we just weren't feeling it after all. Maybe someday.
That's all, however, we've never felt compelled to write anything else. Closest you'll get is second chapter of Voice Like a Bell (cowritten by us and @keyboardandadream), it's pre-canon but not as far back as you'd like.
The Siege of Volterra : the Vampire war no one knows about
Tumblr media
The Siege of Volterra : the Vampire war no one knows about
Aro and the Volturi must decide to engage the invading German army or flee their centuries-old home.
Aro's POV-1944, Italy, occupied Volterra
I was inspired to write this after reading some Tumblr people questioning if the Volturi helped out Italy during the second World War. This is my response as a one-shot and it's kind of long over my usual one-shots.
* Some locations have been made up. Research about Volterra's history during WW2, not easy *
oooooooooooooooooooo
When the Nazis invaded Italy in 1940, I assumed Volterra might eventually become an occupied city. I wasn't happy with that thought. The Volturi had held control of this city for countless hundreds of years. Who were these Saxon mongrels to think they could take our home away from us. Marcus, Caius, and I called for a meeting with the entire coven to discuss what actions should be taken. We would have to decide whether we would hide underground, leave the city entirely, or fight against this impudent invading army?
When the occupation finally happened, the mood of the city completely changed. No more weekend gatherings in the piazza with music and dancing. No more festivals. The humans were virtual prisoners in their own homes. Now we had no choice but to make decisions, both for their protection and ours. I would not tolerate the Germans locking us down as well. Our bi-weekly meal deliveries were at stake. Without that, we would have no choice but to feed off the humans within our walls, something I hoped we would not have to resort to.
Our symbiotic relationship with the Volterrans had been beneficial for us all. The city's human leadership turned a blind eye to rumours about us, deflecting any prying into our business. We paid them well for their aid and loyalty, with the threat of death hanging over their heads and those of their families as insurance. The Mayor, the Chief of Police, and the Bishop of Volterra were a few of the more important humans taken into our confidence, and they had served us well.
First, we had to decide how important our home was. Moving to another location would take time and effort. Right now, most of Europe was involved in the war, and there were few places the Germans and their allies had not already occupied. Marcus spoke up first, wanting to keep our home here in Volterra. He didn't care how that would be accomplished.
Caius agreed. "I prefer to fight rather than hide or run like cowards. These are just humans, after all. I say we fight." He had a point.
I readily agreed, but how would we fight the Germans without revealing ourselves to them or the rest of the city? Caius was willing to set up plans of attack. The idea of killing humans excited the former commander, as I knew it would. An offensive by the Volturi would not only protect our home, it would also protect the city. These foolish humans, however, deserved whatever we gave them. They were disrupting the peace of our city in their quest for world dominance. For once, I felt humans needed to be controlled and by whom better than us.
The most important block to quick defeat was there were more human invaders than there were Volturi. Jane and Alec would be important in any vanguard that would move against these Nazis. Jane's gift incapacitated vampires, but it could kill a human if the illusion of pain was intense enough. Alec's gift would make that easier by blinding, deafening, and silencing the humans first. After so long, I trusted Jane. She worked well with no supervison, and with her brother Alec at her side, I knew they would make short work of the Nazis.
We decided we needed intel, the more information, the better. Since an all out assualt was not feasible, we would pick off the humans one by one. They expected no resistance, therefore more soldiers were kept in key locations, while fewer stood as guards. By day, their presence was more intrusive. They would eat at the cafes and shop at the stores, some genuinely enjoying mingling with the Volterrans. But after darkness fell, small groups of four to five soldiers would walk the streets at night, enforcing curfew and making sure no one was out committing sabotage.
One night, our sharp ears heard the sound of gun shots. When I called Mayor Guiseppe to find out what had happened, he explained several young men had tried to steal a jeep being used by the Germans. They had been shot without ceremony. I strongly advised the mayor to make it illegal for citizens to harass the Germans. He agreed, making it clear he would tolerate no one bothering the invaders. He didn't want to see any more of his people die at the hands of the Nazis. The fact the city remained quiet for weeks after the order was issued, indicated his warnings had worked, and that was to our advantage.
I sent Felix and Demetri to find out where the Nazis were based, the silent speed of the guards making this an easy task. I had wanted to keep an eye on their positions. Was there one main headquarters, or several locations where soldiers kept vigilance over the city's population. They returned a few hours later with plenty of news.
"Master Aro, the museum that was the Palazzo dei Medici is where the Germans have set up their headquarters. A Colonel Friedrich Mannheim is in charge of the city's occupation force," Felix said. "They have approximately 400 soldiers based there while another 100 or so are constantly monitoring the streets. They're using the rooms of the villa as quarters while Colonel Mannheim has exclusive use of the Blue Room."
I knew the Blue Room well. Royalty had slept there over the centuries. Once, I had been invited to the palazzo during the 1760s, and as an honoured guest, I had been afforded the use of one of the prettiest servant women while staying in the Blue Room. I pleasured myself with her body for a few hours, before slashing her throat and slaking my sudden hunger. I hated killing her, but the scent of her blood was too much. Sadly, it made me thirsty. I had to hide the body and make up some story to my hosts. It was so long ago and of little consequence, but some memories linger longer than others.
Of course, the human military leader would choose the very best for himself. The fact that particular castle was chosen would make it easy for us to plan an attack. I knew the floorplan, and helped Caius map out every level.
Demetri gave his report next. "There are five satellite stations scattered around the city, each manned by no more than twenty-five humans. There are two check points, one at the old city gate and one along the newer roadway into the city. Everyone is heavily armed." He smiled, knowing their weapons would have no effect on vampires. "There's no danger for us there. Even if they get a chance to use them."
"We have to consider the humans who will be backing us up, Demetri," I reminded our tracker. "For now, we will act alone. But I trust there will be human volunteers who will gladly help us when we are ready to attack the Palazzo dei Medici. I plan to call Chief de Luca to see how many he can gather." I looked over at Caius who smiled and nodded.
Later, I spoke with the chief of police, Angelo de Luca, in person. He knew about our nature, but he and his small police force were well paid to stifle any rumours about us and to make sure we were left in peace. Losing Volturi protection and financial support was not something anyone wanted.
"Angelo, my dear friend. We find we have a common enemy in these Germans, but we have the power to do something about it. It may mean the sacrifice of some of your people. Would they be willing to fight alongside us, not knowing what we are, of course." I knew from past experience that some humans were indeed brave and capable of fighting well.
"Master Aro, I know my people would willingly sacrifice their lives if it meant freeing their families from this scourge. Are you planning an attack soon?"
"Caius will be in charge of that. We're going to concentrate on killing those manning the city gates and outposts, and the groups of city sentries. The Germans are headquartered at the Palazzo dei Medici. We will take care of that last." De Luca listened raptly as I detailed our plan. "We haven't enough guards to replace those killed, so we will need some trusted humans to do that for us, wearing their uniforms and pretending to be Germans. I just need to know that your people can be ready when called upon."
"Of course, Master Aro. I will gather the best fighters Volterra has to offer, and wait for you to let us know when we're needed."
I knew I could trust the chief of police, as I had trusted his predecessors and would trust his successors. The entire city benefitted from the patronage of the Volturi, that was well known.
I stood, giving the human a smile, and held out my hand. He took mine in an affirmation of our long-time partnership. "We will free our city, Angelo," I assured him. "For both our kind."
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
When the guards had returned from their first mission to take back the old city gate, I read each in turn. I saw, with satisfaction, their actions that led to success.
Heidi had worn a deep red dress, emphasizing her hour-glass figure, but she eschewed her gloves, the darkness of night making that possible. She styled her hair and applied her make-up just so. It was only window-dressing since her allure would take care of distracting the Germans, and once she was upon them, it would be too late for the humans.
The plan was for Felix, Afton, and Santiago to swoop in and assist Heidi in dispatching the hapless soldiers. A few lower-level guards would then take their uniforms and put them on, so to the curious, it would appear the gate was still being guarded. These guards were fluent in German, and would easily fool anyone, as long as they weren't called out as strangers. In that case, they were ordered to kill the humans, and do what they must to hide the bodies.
As she sashayed up to the jeep where several guards sat, her walk showing off her curvy hips, Heidi flashed a dazzling smile at the men. "Guten abend, meine Herren. Es ist eine schöne Nacht."
One of the soldiers jumped off the jeep, and smiled back at Heidi, his eyes revealing his admiration for her beauty. "Ja, Fräulein, das ist es in der Tat." He unconsciously licked his lips. "Du solltest nicht so spät draus sein, schöne. "
Heidi reached up to play with his uniform collar, all the while flirting not only with him, but every man sitting in the jeep, such was her irresistible vampiric allure. The man whispered something in German, and setting down his rifle, he drew Heidi into his embrace, nuzzling her neck.
At that moment, the three waiting guards jumped from the top of the brick arch overhead to land atop the soldiers still sitting in the jeep. Fingers grabbed hair and twisted necks, while teeth sank into soft flesh so fast, no screams emerged from the humans.
Heidi turned her head to bury her face into the lead soldier's neck, biting hard and swallowing as much blood as she could manage in so short a time. She may not have even been thirsty, but we don't refuse blood if the opportunity affords us an easy kill.
I released Heidi's hand and spoke to the four guards. "You all have done very well. The gate is ours. We will now look to the front entrance of the city and take that back. Once the city check points are under our control, we will go after their sentries, the individual guard stations, and lastly their headquarters. Soon, Volterrans will take our places, freeing us up for the main attack on the Palazzo dei Medici."
"Humans, Master Aro?" the tracker asked, confused.
"Yes, I spoke with the chief of police, and he will be gathering volunteers to help us with ridding ourselves of their guards, so we're able to go into the German headquarters. This is their city too, Demetri."
"Of course, Master Aro. I understand."
"Good. Caius, would you join the guards for the attack on the front gate?"
Caius' eyes gleamed as he slowly grinned. "With pleasure, brother."
With Marcus busy seeing to the attack plans in Caius' absence, he worked with Jane and Alec, instructing them on handling the sentries outside the headquarters, allowing the rest of us easy access into the castle. Then the twins would join us, disabling any who might fight us.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
The chosen group of guards, led by Caius, headed out to the forefront of Volterra under the cover of darkness. I waited in the throne room with Marcus now, wishing there were some way to see what was happening, but we would have to wait for their return. I paced the marble floor. Perhaps I should have gone as well, but no, I knew Caius was the best leader for this mission.
Several hours later, Caius returned with our triumphant guards. I quickly took my brother's hand and saw what had transpired on this latest mission.
Our people approached the human guards walking the length of the road they had been assigned to watch. Santiago and Afton began to speak to them in German, confusing their prey. Once they were close enough, they attacked. Heads were twisted, while some used only their teeth as weapons. Caius shouted orders while our guards easily defeated the humans. Soon, silence permeated the air. Caius told the lower guards to don the uniforms of the German soldiers and walk along the road as they had seen them do.
"So we now have the front city entrance as well," I said.
"Yes, Aro. Now we go after the city sentries and replace them with our people."
"I will check with De Luca to see if his people can take our places once these locations have been secured. I would prefer they not be present when we do attack the Germans."
When I called the chief of police to ask for his assistance, he agreed, saying he had 50 ready and able men willing to replace our people at all the gates and outposts currently manned by us. Once night fell, they would do that, freeing up the guards to join us at the Palazzo dei Medici.
I had ordered our kind to wear contacts when around the humans. When their volunteers approached, Felix greeted them and gave them their orders. Just as one human began to remove the uniform off a dead soldier, another who was not quite dead, turned to pull a gun from inside his jacket and pointed it at the man. Felix sped between them, deflecting the bullet before he finished off the soldier.
"Thank you. My name is Sergio," he said, his hand out.
Felix took the man's hand with his own glove-covered one and shook it. "I'm Felix. I couldn't let him just shoot you."
Both human and vampire laughed, before getting back to work. It pleased me to see our peoples working side by side. If our nature were to be discovered by any human, we would have no choice but to kill them. I hoped that would not be necessary.
The work contunued, and it wasn't long before every vampire had been replaced by a human.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
It had been days since we had destroyed the Nazis serving outside the palazzo, and the entire coven was now ready and eager to attack. Several of the vampire guards speed-scaled the walls of the castle until they reached the windows, smashing the glass and jumping inside whatever rooms they found themselves in. They eliminated any Germans they ran into as they headed to the lower floors and the room I had ordered everyone to meet us.
Soldiers aimed their pathetic weapons at the advancing vampires, shooting them, surprised when seeing the bullets bouncing off them harmlessly. In a flash, the vampires sped to them, pulling the weapons from their hands before they could react, and destroying them. Then the vampires killed the soldiers.
Marcus, Caius, and I entered the palace through the front entrance. Alec blinded the Germans, then Jane imagined pain in each soldier we met up with. Some died from the intensity of the pain, others found themselves immobilized and writhing on the ground.
By the time we five had reached the Blue Room, Colonel Mannheim had already baracaded himself inside, surrounding himself with as many soldiers as he could muster in so short a time. Felix pushed on the twin doors, easily forcing them open. Bullets began to fly at my executioner, none harming him as he went into attack mode, his visage dark and frightening. He was followed by Demetri, Santiago. and others. Uniformed bodies flew across the room, while Mannheim attempted to hide. So the leader of the invasion force was a coward at heart. True commanders I can respect, but cowards deserve the worst of deaths.
Jane and Alec entered the large room and stood by, waiting for my order. Soon, every last soldier was lying around the room, dead. All save for Mannheim. I wanted to save him for last.
When Mannheim attempted to run, I gave Alec a nod. He sent out tendrils of dark grey smoke, catching up with and surrounding the human, blocking his senses. He stood still, unable to see a thing.
I turned to Jane. "Go ahead, my dear."
She merely stared at the human, when he suddenly cried out in pain and dropped to the floor.
I reached down and picked up the human by the throat. He had four inches on me, but my strength made it easy to ignore his height. I grinned up at him, feeling pure hatred. "You are nothing but a coward, and should die like one." My eyes focused on Mannheim.
"What are you?" he asked, his voice shaky. So he noticed my eyes, now dark red with anger.
I could reveal myself to him, since these were the last few minutes of his life. "I am a vampire. Your kind attempted to take our city from us. For that, you all must die. You will be my last kill. I'm telling you the truth about us, before I rip your throat out."
He struggled to speak, my hand gripping his neck tightly. "My men...where...are they?"
"Gone, all of them. The invaders of our town have been vanquished."
I saw abject fear in his eyes now. This spurred me on with a great deal of satisfaction.
"And now it's your turn." I clenched my fingers tighter, the nails digging into soft flesh. I felt the warmth of blood dripping down my hand. The colonel's eyes bulged, his hands attempting to pull mine off him. His head began to tilt awkwardly to the right as his eyes went dead but still open. Then his head fell to the floor, blood splashing around us to pool on the marble tiles. I had let his body fall on top of his head, hiding his fearful expression.
"Felix, get some others and clean up this mess. I don't want to leave it for the humans to manage. Burn them all. Then return to the castle."
Marcus and Caius returned with me to the castle, where I sat in my office and called our allies to let them know the city was ours again.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
The citizens of Volterra celebrated their freedom from the Nazis with music and dancing in the streets. The Mayor, the Chief of Police, and I met, the humans who knew about us expressing their gratitude to me for our work in ejecting the occupation forces. The coven members who wanted to join in the celebration were given permission to do so. Wearing regular street clothing and contacts, they readily mingled among the humans. I had given everyone a stern warning to behave and leave the humans alive, or face immediate punishment.
When the guards met up with the singing crowds, the warning was unnecessary. Everyone was jubilant at their success, human and vampire alike.
I saw Felix across the road, a human male walking up to him. It was Sergio. I could hear him as he slapped our tall guard on the arm, expressing gratitude to him for saving his life. Felix looked down at the man, smiling back, telling him it was unnecessary to thank him, as they walked off together, talking while grabbing some drinks being handed out to people gratis. Felix took a bottle, toasting with the other humans, but he did not drink, of course.
"I never imagined that vampires would one day be our saviors, Master Aro. We owe you so much," Angelo said
"My friend, we have worked beside your ancestors for centuries in keeping the city safe for humans and vampires alike. I will not allow this war to disrupt it now. Come, let us join the others in the celebration." I gently clapped my hand on his back as we walked to join the crowd.
Stories later circulated among the Germans that the city of Volterra was haunted, and no one wanted to send any troops there again. I found that humourous while I looked out my upper floor office window down to the streets below. The city was vibrant with life again. Everything was back to normal for us and for the humans who fought beside us.
A/N : I like to write stories many writers don't think of. I hope my readers liked this one. No human mates, no romance, but we see the Volturi in a new light as defenders of their home, Volterra.
