I do happen to have a favourite Arknights NPC, yes 👍! A few actually sbsjs!!

Domma from the 'Mansfield Break' event 🩹!!

She's a sort of doctor and mortician, which I find cool 🤔! I like her design and the lil bits of what we saw from her character both v v much as well aaa 🥺 and I love that she joined us at Rhodes Island after the events of the 'Mansfield Break' event 🥳~

Monch from the 'Break The Ice' event 🗡️!!

I find her relationships with Gnosis and SilverAsh to be quite compelling sgshswj 🤔! As well as her motivations as a character!! Her design is v v pretty too, I love her hair the most I think 🥺💕 (it looks super flowy and soft ahaiajh)!! I like that she's of the Itra race also, as Courier is the only Itra character besides her 😯!

Cecelia from the 'Guide Ahead' event 😇!!

Her entire story, involving her mother being a Sankta and her father being a Sarkaz, is v v interesting to me aaa 😮!!! And she's just super adorable and a v sweet character 🥺💕! (I definitely hope she remains safe at Rhodes Island with Enforcer 👉👈!!)

I also generally happen to have a liking towards lots of the NPCS from the 'Guide Ahead' event ansjebe 🥺👉👈!! As the event meant v v much to me!

Velliv and Lemuen from the 'Guide Ahead' event, for example ✨!! Both have v v pretty designs and characters I find super interesting~

As for Logos dvhshs 🤔!!

I happen to know a lil about him sgsush, through not lots 😯!! I know he's been mentioned by some of Rhodes Islands' Operators and appeared in one of stories of 'Rewinding Breeze', hm!

He's one of Rhodes Islands' Elite Operators, and a Caster! I believe he's a Banshee Sarkaz, which is a rare kind of Sarkaz, which is v v interesting 🤔!!

His design is super awesome, I like his hair and his clothing lots ✨! (This might be odd, however his appearance reminds me of Phantom sbsjs!)

I can most certainly see why he's your favourite NPC anon, omg 💞!!!

Aaa, Arknights has lots and lots of NPCs who have v detailed designs and compelling characters 😯!! I feel that, because of their cool appearances, many of the NPCs could definitely be mistaken for Operators wjisjss ✨!!!

I definitely hope Hypergryph will be showing more appreciation to Arknights' NPCs in the future 🥺!! Perhaps creating more NPCs into Operators aaa! It's clear lots of careful thought and hardwork went into creating many of them, so it would be such a waste for them to never appear again shsjshs 😭!

After seeing your posts about her I was so excited to see Monch in the recent event! Do you think she'll ever be an available operator? I really hope so!

Do I honestly think Monch will become an operator? I’m not sure. Do I want her to be an operator? Absolutely, she’s the best npc in any event I’ve read, her design is amazing, her character motivation is great, she has bags under her, she got misgendered that one time, her name is Monch. She’s the perfect woman.

However, we need to be honest with ourselves. An npc becoming an operator doesn’t mean they’ll become a good operator. Monch is no Viviana, Arturia, or Degenbrecher, she’s not a super cool and powerful character introduced as an npc to clearly become a 6 star event focus operator. Her main accomplishments are being a henchmen (her dream job), getting Sciurus to cheat on her husband with her, failing to assassinate Enciodes Silverash, almost getting executed, having Sciurus risk starting a civil war to stop her from being executed, realizing that her crush on Gnosis was the worst thing she’s ever done, and then returning in RS to have yuri moments with Sciurus be Sciurus’s henchwoman for a day. With all that, she’s not exactly the type to have them plan an event around her, she’s not a main character, even though she is the best character.

If she does become an operator, we need to prepare ourselves for what is the realistic and reasonable outcome. So, as @saint-lily put it better than I could:

I can’t stop thinking about Gnosis. I’m obsessed with him. How do you fumble a girl that WANTS to be a henchwoman and is down with murder? Monch is literally unfumbable and yet Gnosis found a way. I want to eat his brain.

Talking with a friend about Monch from Kjerag and now I wanna ramble, let's go!!!

Ok, so Monch is a side character in the first event, and an even more minor character in the second. (I deeply want her as a decent 5* welfare next Kjerag event please I beg!)

She is Sciurus's most trusted confidant and companion. Despite secretly working for Gnosis (oh ill get to his fuck face in a sec) she genuinely works to help the Browntail clan and especially Sciurus. She grows pretty attached to her from what little we are allowed to see. That's made explicitly clear at the end of RS when her and Sciurus reunite.

In BI, she's working for Gnosis as an informant and spy. She places a ton of trust in him and his judgement,, but definitely begins to question things when she has to directly take action against the Browntail clan. Eventually, the smug prick outright betrays her and leaves her for dead essentially.

Now I could write an essay on why I genuinely dislike Gnosis and Silverash. They are well written, and I think they are written specifically to hate, so props to the story writers. But back to dear Monch.

Because of his devastating betrayal, she is forced to go into hiding. She even has to abandon Sciurus and goes no contact for a pretty lengthy period. That shit hurt to read.

They were so close as to be essentially better sisters than the actual browntail sisters. And yet, here she is having to dissappear because of a war monger and his dick wad of a bf.

Thankfully, in RS, we finally get to see them reunite near the end. It's not a very long moment, fuck I wish there was more, but it at least vrings them back together.

RS was full of moments I could stand and shout about for days, it's such a good event. This is one of those moments for me. Seeing them come back together and still have that same trust and care for one another.

Now, Sciurus is married (and iirc expecting a child?). But, idk, I simply can not see these two apart. And I think Yucatan absolutely understands that too. So yeah, I poly ship them.

Monch and Sciurus have a label of them in my head that says "DO NOT SEPERATE" and that's a rare thing in my ship addled mind.

I really really hope we get to see more of them next Kjerag trip, and even sweeter if she was a 5* welfare. I can cope and dream at least.

I’ve just realized that there are two bisexual trans-coded women in Arknights who had crushes on male higher ups in a company who are also absolute bastards.

Monch crushed on Gnosis (from what ive heard, ive only read like the first chapter of Break the Ice)

Astgenne crushed on Ferdinand (but now she’s got Dorothy)

Extremely accurate analysis.

Monch was down bad for Gnosis until he told her to her face that he was lying to her (because he had to do his whole scheming 4D chess yaoi with Silverash 🤢). It’s okay though, she left his ass and didn’t even keep the knife her gave her to kill herself with to stop herself from giving information to the enemy if she got captured. Actually now that I think about it, we don’t know if that was why Gnosis gave her the knife or if she just decided that’s what it was for. She’s like, really into being a nefarious schemer’s number 1 goon. Anyway, Monch also gets to have an affair with Sciurus Browntail. But I think her husband is okay with it actually.

As for Astgenne, she was crushing on a married man who has a kid. I’m so glad she got over him for Dorothy because good god who wouldn’t want Dorothy. I 100% understand why she still takes care of Dorothy (who can’t help herself to save her life) even though it’s not in her job description anymore
