1. Monki

Monki is a sistercompany to H&M, Arket, And other stories + more. Monki has a wide range of trendy pieces, ensuring that almost everyone can find something  they like. Monki stays on brand with a lot of colors including pastels for the spring, along with more brighter colored pieces - they do also carry basic pieces that also come in a variety of playful colors. Monki is affordable and on trend which results in it being a very popular brand among girls and young women i Denmark.

One of H&M´s many sistercompanies. Arket offers a range of classic and modern pieces that are supposed to last for a long time. The site describes the products as sustainably sourced - but i haven´t done any further research on that. Arket is reasonably priced, although the prices are higher than any of the other companies also owned by H&M. Although it is a pretty new brand (opened it´s first store in 2017 in London), it has grown to become pretty popular among fashion interested women. Arket also has a a homeware section in which they sell everything from carpets, vases, scented candles and more..

3. Saks potts

Saks potts is a danish brand founded by Cathrine Saks and Barbara Potts. Recently a lot of celebrity’s have been seen wearing Saks pots - this includes Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Cardi B and more. Their designs are playfull and often flamboyant. A very popular pieces among the danish girls are the lissi pants - you don’t have to look far for a blogger to be wearing these on their instagram. This brand is one of the most expensive brands on the list since it is designer. Demand for some of the pieces are so high that a lot of girls find the pieces and buy them secondhand, where you can easily sell them for a pretty high price.

If you are a dane or you have spent time in copenhagen, you have probably thought og this brand allready. Mads Nørgaard is a brand that has been around since 1958. The brand has a few key pieces that always sell - like the 101 t-shirt from their own brand “nørgaard på strøget”. Their pieces often have very visible characteristics from the brand, for example the iconic stripes that are done in a variety of different colors. Their prices are generally in a good middlerange. however if you visit their store a strøget, they also feature different brands that aren’t sold at the same prices.

I had to include this one. Ganni is another brand from a a danish designer. It has become extremely popular not only in Denmark, but worldwide. Kendall Jenner along with other big celebritys has been seen wearing Ganni. Ganni likes to play with fun silhouettes, colors and feminine styles along with different textiles and prints. Ganni is one of the more pricey brands on the list, but it is a brand that girls like to spend a little more on. Besides the normal Ganni stores, Ganni has an outlet store in Copenhagen called “Ganni postmodern” where pieces from older collections are sold at a discount.

NA-KD is generally pretty affordable - sometimes prices vary a little bit depending on the collection - but prices are never unreasonable. NA-KD comes out with new collections very often, and because of the many pieces they sell, you can always find something for most people.

What to wear in the heatwave – from an all-in-one to a LWD | Fashion

We are no climatologists but it’s pretty hot. Fine if you’re by the sea, less fine if you’re trying to work, eat, sleep or generally live your life. To navigate a heatwave that makes you buckle unless you’re wearing a hat – which should be something big and straw by Jacquemus or Filu – you need the right clothes and shoes. Here are ways to beat the heatwave in style …

Swap your floral maxi for a floral mini

Floral prints are baked into summer fashion, so the renegade choice is to accept this while wearing them in a different way. The short, strappy summer dress is over. This heatwave, it’s about the loose maximalist version, inspired by Gucci and Richard Quinn; see the consciously shapeless lemon yellow print dress from & Other Stories or something cream by See By Chloe. The latter is ideal, because a heatwave doesn’t always mean nudity, and because a little excess fabric is good to get the air moving. MF

Reaquaint yourself with linen

Linen hasn’t had the best rap over the years, evoking bohemian kaftans rather than haute fashion. But this season it has been given multiple seals of approval by the fashion pack, and is naturally (ooh!) the perfect fabric in which to style out hot and sticky weather. It can also bridge the gap between smart and casual: Albus Lumen’s zip-detailed shirt is meeting-approved chic, while Raey’s beige button-front skirt is a great example of a piece that can be dressed up or down. Trade your LBD for a LWD

It’s not impossible to wear white in winter. But it can feel a little challenging on the psyche. The LWD is short, usually cotton or linen, and usually with a little twist (a little broderie-anglaise, a little embroidery. If the little black dress is sexy, then the short white dress is more … prairie? Our money’s on the laced-back cotton dress by Rebecca Taylor or – outsider choice – a nightie by Pour Les Femmes worn as a dayie. As dresses go, it’s not staggeringly practical, so wear something around your waist on the bus to avoid marks. MF

Slide into something more comfortable

For the past few summers, slides have dominated the high street. Understandably so: they are ideal for the heat, to throw on, or wear with socks. Still, they remain absolute hell for people who want their feet to look elegant. Thankfully, a new strain has emerged that barely look like slides, while still definitely being slides. These include leather ones in lilac from Zara, woven ones from Topshop, pebble-friendly ones from Ancient Greek sandals or the ultimate ones: souped-up hotel slippers from Balenciaga. Try an all-in-one

Keeping things straightforward is central to successful heatwave dressing, which is why the jumpsuit has pull-on-and-go appeal. Luckily, they are everywhere this season: on the high-street, Asos and Mango both have great styles that are appropriate for work, weekends and weddings, while Norma Kamali at Net-a-Porter has excellent evening options. The main thing is to choose a lightweight and breathable fabric – we’re thinking linen (see above), not latex – so that you airily saunter, rather than awkwardly squeak, down the street. SC

Get the air circulating

Unless it’s your bikini, anything skin-tight should be avoided in a heatwave (no one wants to peel their clothes off when they get home). Instead, loose layers that will keep you cool are the way to go. Long trapeze silhouettes are great as they circulate air and provide ease of movement.
