Very incomplete list, based mostly on The Languages of the World (3rd ed.), Kenneth Katzner, 2002 + a heavy use of Wiktionary. some notes:

Many of these words have passed through multiple languages on their way to English (e.g. Persian -> Arabic -> Spanish -> French -> English); in that case I usually list them under the first language that used them with the same meaning as English.

I generally don't include words whose ancestors already existed in Middle English, unless their origin was exotic enough to be interesting.

The vast majority of borrowings are terms very specific to their culture of origin; I generally only include those that are either well known among English-speakers, or of general use outside that culture. As always, this is largely subjective.

Baldur’s Gate Next Gen

It’s late and this game is invading my headspace like pests. In a fun way.

I am a nerd when it comes to the next generation/ancestry shenanigans when it comes to video games and story telling for me. The sims and or farm sims I blame horribly with love for the way I act and write. Now this doesn’t mean I have beaten the whole game of it but imagination is huge in the world of dungeons and dragons and I kinda wanna share some today. The next generation will be 18+ and of age to go out to adventuring.

Zephyr Ancunin-Wrenhope-

-Son of my beast master ranger shifter, Tasara Wrenhope and Astarion.

-This gremlin is feral like his mother and inherited most of his mannerisms and behavior to her. The other half that his father gifted was his heightened senses and masterful skills in sleight of hand and stealth.

-Zephyr’s genetics have more elf than shifter or vampire, so he is neither a shifter nor a dhampir.

-Loves the night time and takes plenty of siestas during the day. The hunt becomes more fun and thrilling when lurking in the darkness.

-He do bite so be careful.

-Class wise he most likely be a ranger or rogue like his parents though an argument could be made for a Druid.

Kasumi Ravengard

-Daughter of Wyll Ravengard and my cleric/sorceror tav, Aria Yoake.

-Devil blood was easily passed down with this lass, being born a tiefling.

-Her father tutored her in swordplay and always made sure to make time out of his day to spar or spend time with her.

-Gale meanwhile became a godfather/uncle and personal tutor to young Kasumi. Bonding together over their love of books and having Tara rest on the girl’s lap while Gale teaches.

-Kasumi inherited a thirst for adventure and excitement due to her parents’ stores of their adventures and vowed to train every day in order to become strong and wise enough to travel the world.

-Class wise, she’d be a sorceress and possibly a fighter. Both Wyll and Aria would strongly advise her not to make deals with any devils due to past experience.

Willow Wrenhope.

-Daughter of Tasara and Halsin.

-Halsin, Tasara, and Astarion are in a polycule relationship and live within the forest where Tasara grew up.

-Halsin does travel back home on occasions to visit his family and make time for his partners and children.

-Willow inherited more of the shifter gene from her mother and shares a similar feral instinct like her half brother.

-Willow would often be seen climbing trees and or bonding with animals, she does find some time to spend with Zephyr. Playing wrestling and sparring which brings their mother to a nostalgic moment.

-Willow adores her uncle, Sabrin and idolizes his magical abilities and sharp shooting.

-Class wise, girl would definitely be a druid like her papa with maybe a level in ranger or barbarian.

My Pokemon Ultra Moon team

I also got Pokemon Ultra Moon on release day (again, I think I pre-ordered it). But I kept resetting it due to lack of satisfaction.

On the playthrough I actually beat the main storyline in, I chose to start with Popplio because of its advantage over my starter in Sun. I was initially planning for it to be a Nuzlocke but decided against it and turned it into a casual playthrough. I named my character Gamma (possibly after the character from Sonic Adventure 1) and deliberately chose for him to have dark skin.

And everyone on my team has the Alola Champion Ribbon.

My starter, now a Primarina, is a male named Water Mufasa. I’ll leave it to you to figure out why I named him such. His moves are Sparkling Aria, Moonblast, Icy Wind, and Hyper Voice. He doesn’t have his Hidden Ability. His nature is Gentle (raising Special Defense but lowering physical Defense) and his characteristic is “Loves to eat”, meaning that his highest IV is in HP and it’s 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30.

The second thing I caught was a Vikavolt I caught on Route 1 when she was a Grubbin. Her name is Guarian (which is spelled like that on purpose because I briefly thought that was how the name of Guardians from Minecraft were spelled... years before I named the Grubbin that). Her moves are Thunderbolt, X-Scissor, Crunch, and Agility. Her nature is Quiet (raising Special Defense but lowering Speed) and her characteristic is “Hates to lose”, meaning that her highest IV is in Special Defense and it’s 3, 8, 13, 18, 23, or 28.

Next is a female Alolan Muk I caught on Route 1 when she was an Alolan Grimer. She was initially named “Disposal” because I once planned for it to be a Nuzlocke, but she grew on me and thus I renamed her to “Oil Spill”. Oil Spill’s moves are Crunch, Poison Fang, Acid Spray, and Poison Jab. Her ability is Poison Touch (so not her species’ Hidden Ability). Her nature is Rash (raising Special Attack at the cost of Special Defense) and her characteristic is “Mischievous”, which means that her highest IV is in Special Attack and it’s 1, 6, 11, 16, 21, 26, or 31.

The next Pokemon on my team is an Alolan Dugtrio I met when she was an Alolan Diglett. Since Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team (both versions of the original Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and their singular remake) has its NPC Diglett confirm that he has feet, I named my Alolan Diglett “Has Feet”. Her moves are Earth Power, Earthquake, Iron Head, and Sucker Punch. Her ability is Sand Veil, her Nature is Adamant (raising physical Attack but lowering Special Attack), and her characteristic is “Takes plenty of siestas”, which, in Gen 6 and beyond, means that her highest IV is in HP and it’s 1, 6, 11, 16, 21, 26, or 31.

The first member of my team to be caught in a Poke Ball that’s not the standard one is YetiYetiYeti, a Backyardigans reference in the name of a Crabominable.  He was caught in a Great Ball. His moves are Brick Break, Ice Punch, Power-Up Punch, and Ice Hammer. His ability is Hyper Cutter, his nature is Modest, and his characteristic is “A little quick tempered”, meaning that his highest IV is in Attack and it’s 2, 7, 12, 17, 22, or 27.

The final member of my team is Mustard, a Drifblim I caught as a Drifloon. It’s supposed to reference mustard gas. Her moves are Shadow Ball, Gust, Phantom Force, and Payback. Her ability is Unburden (which I don’t take advantage of because I make her hold a Spell Tag), her nature is Naive (raising Speed but lowering Special Defense), and her characteristic is “Somewhat stubborn”, meaning that her highest IV is in Special Defense and it’s 4, 9, 14, 19, 24, or 29.

¿cómo fue la primera vez que desarrolló uno de sus poderes? Sus poderes tardaron en hacerse presentes, pero fue hasta los siete años que hubo un pequeño destello de ellos. Las últimas semanas había pasado demasiado tiempo con los animales del bosque y diversas mascotas que se aparecían cerca de su casa, disfrutando el tiempo que compartía con ellos y la manera tan distinta en la que se comportaban. Los Jaberi son una familia que provenía de alguna parte de Irán, estableciéndose en Svalbarö solo meses antes de que Jasper viniera al mundo. Los motivos del por qué se habían establecido ahí, y toda la historia familiar en general, siempre fueron un completo misterio que hasta el momento no tiene respuesta; cada vez que el pequeño sacaba el tema a colación recibía diversas evasivas, entendiendo con el paso de los años que era un tema poco grato y optó por dejar de insistir, dejándolo como uno de los muchos misterios que tiene la vida.

Los Embla siempre fueron su familia, sus primeros recuerdos los incluyen a ellos y siempre se alegró de que así fuese. Lazo familiar que acrecentó cuando sus padres decidieron mudarse de la isla y quisieron llevarse a Jasper con él, pero siendo tan testarudo como siempre prefirió seguir viviendo ahí, en la vieja casita a la que llamaba hogar, rodeado de la gente que lo vio crecer. Algunas veces se cuestiona su decisión, preguntándose como hubiera sido su vida si hace doce años hubiese optado por partir junto a sus padres, pero cualquier duda se disipa cuando visita el huerto y hace sus recorridos habituales por el pueblo, sabiendo que su verdadero hogar estaba ahí.

La mayor parte del pueblo lo conoce, especialmente desde que se dedicó a tomar cualquier trabajo para ganarse un par de monedas extras, siendo común verlo una semana como mesero y la otra semana como mandadero; además, por su personalidad, siempre le ha resultado bastante sencillo desenvolverse con el resto de gente y suele ser bastante cómodo estar en compañía de él. Por otro lado, y contrastando con todo lo que la gente puede ver de él, es alguien bastante solitario que prefiere dedicarse tiempo a sí mismo, teniendo tan pocos amigos que puede contarlos con los dedos de una mano ¿y qué es lo que pasa habitualmente por su mente? Ese es otro de los muchos misterios que tiene la vida.

The thing about the Siesta is there’s a lot of free time. Kath had never quite gotten used to it, even if the Jazz Hands keep busy. There’s the two musicals and a series of jazz performances they always try to stage and hunting each other for splort and that’s enough to keep anyone who wants to be busy that way busy. But with two odd years free, Kath wasn’t going to spend all of zer time cooped up inside painting sets or learning choreography, and ze wasn’t going to spend all of zer outside time hunting for splort. It was fun, sure, but sometimes co liked a bit of a break when cos life wasn’t in immediate danger.

What ae liked to do during Siesta was enjoy the trees. There weren’t a lot of them back in vis home universe and the Siestas had been shorter besides. So, ey bundled up to keep eir arms from locking in the cold and headed out.

Ae got a few miles out of town before feeling the hair at the back of aer neck stick up and before ae could spot what was doing that, ae hit the ground. When they came back a few minutes later, Collins was standing over them with a gun slung over one shoulder.

Collins reached down and Kath grabbed Collins’s wrist and hauled himself upright. Ze brushed some snow off of zer coat and shrugged zer hood up over zer head.

“Your hands are rather cold, aren’t they?” Collins asked. “No temperature sensors in them. I was planning to keep them in my pockets to keep them from locking and not have to find gloves.” “Did you have a goal in mind in today’s expedition?” “Not getting killed for one. Other than that, seeing the sights.” “If you’d like a particular sight to see,” Collins started, “I’ve heard that Arias is somewhere in the mountains. If you find her and bring her this way, I would be ever in your debt, Kath.” Ae considered for a moment before sticking aer hand out to shake on it. “Deal. But I will enter the game and you will be at the top of my list if you miss and catch me instead.” “On my honor.”

NIÑOS CONECTADOS A UN CLIC

Los niños están cada vez más cerca a la tecnología, ¿qué piensan sobre esto distintos profesionales?

El reloj marca las 3:30 de la tarde, él se dirige  con una sonrisa de oreja a oreja hacía el portátil que está justo en la mesa de centro de la sala, su andar un poco inseguro no es impedimento para llegar al aparato; ya en frente de él manda sus manitas regordetas sin compasión sobre el teclado, comienza la diversión. Su dedito índice va indicando en la pantalla lo que quiere y pronto lo lleva hacia el teclado, suena una melodía infantil, él mueve sus piecitos al compás de la música abriendo sus enormes ojos claros y soltando una carcajada.

Así, reinicia la tarde luego de una merecida siesta, uno de tantos niños entre dos y tres años (en este caso) que tienen contacto cercano en forma habitual con la tecnología, sea por medio de un computador, móvil, una tablet u otro medio electrónico.

El acceso a Internet, es una realidad para muchos niños que ven a sus padres utilizarlo y se convierte en ejemplo a seguir, o simplemente parece que desde que nacen ya tienen el chip integrado para el uso de la tecnología, por esto cabe la pregunta dirigida hacía varios profesionales de: ¿Cuál es su opinión sobre la influencia de la tecnología en los niños?

Para Adriana Ximena Torres, madre, psicóloga y creadora de la ONG Syxma Desarrollo Integral, el uso de la tecnología no puede ser más importante que el juego ya que los niños deben socializar con otros. El exceso de tecnología genera dificultad en la motricidad gruesa, esa que utiliza el niño al momento de lanzar una pelota o saltar en un solo pie. Ella considera que padres y adultos: “Debemos ser conscientes de que hay que educarlos para la tecnología y ser conscientes de la misma”. Por esto cree que es importante conectarse más con los niños y no tanto con la tecnología, salvo cuando se busque un tema específico.

Está de acuerdo con que el uso de la tecnología debe estar regulado por los padres o adultos responsables y con horarios para que puedan tener contacto con la naturaleza y jugar alejados de los dispositivos electrónicos.

Sobre este aspecto también está de acuerdo Iván Fitata Marín, padre, psicólogo social con posgrado en psicología clínica y de familia. Para él, el uso de la tecnología no es negativa, depende de la utilización que se le dé y por esto es importante que en casos cotidianos como la hora del desayuno, los integrantes de la familia no utilicen celulares u otros dispositivos que interfieran en la comunicación y debiliten el vínculo familiar a esa hora del día, de comenzar el día y en general en todos los demás momentos donde se comparten los alimentos en familia. Por esto es importante llegar a un acuerdo para no utilizar ninguno de estos aparatos al momento de comer y compartir, ya que para el psicólogo hay problemas cuando la tecnología reemplaza la socialización.

Es clave que los padres tengan un control para prevenir el contacto con información que no es propicia para los niños y protegerlos ante los peligros a los que pueden estar expuestos los niños en la red.

Para niños entre los cinco y siete años opina que debe haber un contacto gradual con la tecnología, con horario acorde a su edad para que no se mantengan “pegados” al computador, ya que es importante que socialicen.

En días pasados durante el último Foro de Evaluamos sobre Cómo mejorar la conexión de los colombianos, Diego Alejandro Moreno, papá y gerente de SkyNet, soluciones satelitales; en su presentación se refirió a este tema: “Mi hijo de dos años, sin saber decir todavía ni papá y sin leer ni escribir, ya domina casi que a la perfección los videos en el celular, esto muestra cómo Internet no solamente cambia el devenir sino que hacia el futuro seguirá cambiando el de las nuevas generaciones. El Internet ha transformado la vida en general de las personas, sobre todo las costumbres y la forma de desarrollar su día a día”.

Algo que tampoco desconoce Juan Pablo Góngora, ingeniero Mecatrónico, que incluso se refiere a los comienzos, puesto que al aparecer el hombre, los que “ganaron” o sobrevivieron fueron los que más herramientas – tecnología utilizaron. Ahora tanto los juegos y el desarrollo social en general van de la mano con la tecnología. Piensa que si a los dos años un niño tiene contacto con la tecnología, su mente se desarrollará en forma más avanzada, adquiriendo más habilidades que un niño de  esa misma edad pero que nació en una época diferente.

Ante todas estas opiniones de profesionales que se refieren a los pros y contras en el uso de la tecnología en los niños, surge la curiosidad: ¿Y qué piensa al respecto un animador digital, creador del canal TobyAnimados en You Tube con más de 21.000 suscriptores?

El animador digital Ernesto Gutiérrez dice que “un niño necesita inicialmente jugar no tanto con el mundo virtual sino más con el real; se debe inculcar más los usos productivos de la tecnología”. Opina que “la generación que nació hace 30-35 años tuvo la ventaja de vivir una niñez sin Internet porque ahora todo el mundo es dependiente de la tecnología, ya como adulto se aprecia lo que se puede investigar, leer por Internet; mientras que al ver a los niños veo que no usan las herramientas para ampliar los conocimientos sino más como modos de entretenimiento, no hay que usar la tecnología en contra de la educación sino como una herramienta de aprendizaje”

Al igual que los demás entrevistados aboga por el consumo de la tecnología en los niños pero de una forma supervisada, responsable porque “los niños deben jugar al aire libre, en mi canal hay muchos niños como público, pero también algunos videos los hago pensando en los que fueron niños de mi generación, finales de los 80’s.”

Piensa que es necesario llegar a un punto de equilibrio para que los niños no creen dependencia porque a ellos y a los adolescentes les pasa “un poco eso que se toman todo muy en serio por las redes, lo del bulling virtual, a esta parte es a la que toca prestar atención y que los adultos supervisen las páginas que los niños visitan, que guíen más. Se debe introducir a los niños en forma gradual a la tecnología porque dejarlos de entrada desde muy chiquitos con un celular para que estén todo el día, eso no me parece tan bueno; esas cosas por ejemplo de los retos… hay cosas que pueden ser problemáticas, es como dejarles que coman todos los dulces que quieran”.

Para tener en cuenta

Red PaPaz Red de Padres y Madres, es una “Corporación sin ánimo de lucro, formada por una red de madres, padres y cuidadores, fundada en 2003 que tiene como propósito abogar por la protección de los derechos de los niños, niñas y adolescentes en Colombia y, fortalecer las capacidades de los adultos y actores sociales para garantizar su efectivo cumplimiento”, como se lee en su sitio web www.redpapaz.org y donde recomienda:

“Fundación RENACER (trabajan en contra del abuso y maltrato de los niños y adolescentes), UNICEF y los socios de TE PROTEJO (creado para la protección a través de internet de la infancia y la adolescencia en Colombia), comparten algunas recomendaciones para apoyar el desarrollo de la autonomía digital en sus hijos menores de 18 años. De esta forma comparten las recomendaciones que han hecho la Academia Americana de Pediatría, la Organización Mundial de la Salud y las plataformas sobre las edades recomendadas para acceder a plataformas tecnológicas.

0-2 años: Es importante la estimulación e interacción con el mundo real y el contacto visual. Por eso se debe restringir al máximo el uso de pantallas.

2-4 años: Aprenden mejor interactuando con el mundo real. En caso de tener contacto con pantallas, se recomienda máximo 1 hora diaria, nunca a la hora de comer ni 1 hora antes de dormir.

5 años: Pueden usarla máximo 1 hora al día. Las pantallas deben estar fuera de sus habitaciones para que duerman bien.

6-8 años: No diferencian entre el mundo real y el digital, es importante restringir el acceso a dispositivos de Internet y el uso de video-juegos, pues aumenta la posibilidad de desarrollar conductas asociadas a la ciberdependencia.

9 años: Pueden navegar con control parental, debe definirse horario.

13 años: Perfiles sociales menos Facebook.

14 años: Pueden tener un celular, los papás deben monitorear las redes sociales”.

When I finally visited the largest of the Caribbean islands, I walked round in a daze, because there was a ‘photograph’ or  ‘painting’ opportunity on every corner.

La finitud. Marcelo Arias

La tarde viene muriendo. Pronto las sombras gobernarán el boliche y yo volveré a lamentar mi flojera. Volveré a preguntarme por qué dejo que los días se fuguen, indolentes, sin salir a los campos a saldar el quebranto que, en la siesta, me impide darle voz al sonido mustio de la guitarra, y por las noches me arrebata el sueño en la penumbra lastimosa.

Soy un hombre al que desvela una pena extraordinaria.

La tarde viene muriendo, pero el cielo que acampana la llanura hoy luce un destello singular. Un jinete se acerca y, en el redoble de su galope, una premonición me sube a la garganta. Vuelvo a pulsar las cuerdas de la guitarra y presiento que mi espera se dispone a concluir.

Entonces lo veo entrar. Logro aquietar el impulso de abalanzarme sobre él, el mandato de mi sangre que pide derramar la suya. Permanezco quieto, sin abandonar la silla que me sostiene, más deseoso de cultivar la astucia que de ceder al instinto de atacarlo. Bien debo proteger mi destino, cuidarme de no malograr la venganza que vengo acariciando hace siete años.

Cruzamos unas pocas palabras, irrelevantes, ladinas. Su actitud altanera es un acicate que me acalora. No hay flojera en mí. Hay decisión. Hay confianza. No estará en mi facultad impedir que en el futuro se abra paso su leyenda. Pero puedo hoy disponer que deje de ser un hombre que pisa la tierra.

Salimos al silencio de la llanura, que nunca tiene nada para decir.

Caminamos a la par hasta que yo me detengo de golpe. No serás vos quien elija el lugar, pienso. Ni ese gusto te voy a dar. Él también se detiene, me mira, la luz menguante de la tarde que cae. No alcanzo a distinguir si, en la malicia de sus ojos, relumbra también el desprecio del hombre blanco. Le pido que no escatime coraje, maña, entereza. Quiero que deje todo lo que tenga. Porque nada se ha de llevar.

Nos trabamos sin mayores anuncios. Todo contrapunto demanda, además de la destreza propia, la vigilancia del descuido ajeno. Y ha de ser honrada, más que ninguna, la virtud de la paciencia. Porque, tarde o temprano, el hueco se va a producir. Y será efímero. Por eso hay que estar alerta. Descubrirlo y ocuparlo es casi la misma acción. Atender al momento en que el poncho bailotea imprudente por debajo del antebrazo, para que el facón avance; para que ocupe, aciago o redentor, el espacio que le dejaron disponible.

Entonces, media hoja del acero abandona el aire otoñal de la tarde que se extingue y conoce el calor del cuerpo que va a morir.

Doy un paso atrás, piso en falso, consigo mantenerme en pie. Sondeo con alguna distancia el efecto de mi incursión; y veo que la herida es importante. Asumo su desventaja y pierdo los estribos. Arremeto sin miramientos. Sin prudencia ni mesura. Me entrego a la dicha furiosa de pacificar la memoria de mi hermano y apuñalo a Martín Fierro.

Esta noche, por fin, templaré la garganta en el boliche con la caña adulterada que vende Recabarren. Y allí me pondré a cantar.

El facón ofrece alguna resistencia cuando tiro para recuperarlo; como si, al penetrarla, se hubiera aquerenciado con la tripa de su víctima. El cuerpo cae desplomado, indigno, finito.

Limpio en el pasto la hoja y, con el naciente regocijo de la venganza consumada, emprendo el regreso hacia el boliche sin volver la vista atrás.

Es Licenciado en Letras por la Universidad de Buenos Aires, Magíster en Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades por la Universidad Nacional de Quilmes, Profesor Titular de la cátedra de Análisis del Discurso en la Universidad Nacional de Lomas de Zamora, Docente de Lingüística en la Universidad de Buenos Aires y en la Universidad Nacional de Moreno. Como investigador y analista del discurso, es autor del ensayo La noticia televisiva: resplandor de un discurso inquietante (Buenos Aires, Biblos, 2014). Guests at his B&B, which offers stays from £129 per night, enjoy rooms with power showers, an Amazon Alexa control system, mood lighting, air conditioning, smart TV with Netflix and a heated mist-free bathroom mirror. Plus luxury Elemis toiletries and daily home-made treats.

And so far not one overall rating – out of over 700 – has dipped below an ‘excellent’ five out of five.

Sawday’s guide, meanwhile, describes it as a ‘true one-off’.

It has an average rating of five out of five from 2,076 reviews, with 2,000 rating it as ‘excellent’ and 68 deeming it ‘very good’.

The accolades include ‘phenomenal staff’, ‘fab food’, ‘lovely decor’ and ‘great location’. 

This year the No2 spot in the overall global hotel ranking is occupied by the Hanoi La Siesta Hotel & Spa in Vietnam, which reviewer ‘JAKSJR’ in May this year described as ‘absolutely amazing‘.

Una piba en el medio del baldío

La intemperie es un baldío con yuyos, con insectos que pululan entre los precipicios que se forman entres los pedazos de cemento, con grietas en la tierra, con hormigueros tupidos que nadie se anima a destruir, con vidrios rotos de botellas que saciaron a otros. Un baldío es una esperanza irremediable, un espacio vacío rodeado de construcciones en las que viven personas que, quizás, se quieren, quién sabe. Desde el aire, desde un drone sensible, el baldío se ve como una lastimadura que late, como una sonrisa de cansancio a la que le falta un diente, “isla que / aquí / me aísla”.

Es un día de sol, pero hace mucho frío, y en el medio del baldío hay una piba cruzada de brazos con una camperita de cuero negro, una piba que tirita, una piba que mira el piso heterogéneo que la sostiene, una piba que se acomoda el pelo detrás de la oreja y piensa:

“No me interesa distinguir verdades voy a decírtelo aquí y ahora: no encuentro nada absoluto”.

La piba piensa y escribe en su mente, su corazón es el enter, así corta los versos que aparecen corte flashes, los archiva y sigue con los brazos cruzados. En un silencio montañoso, la piba se sostiene con los ojos en lo todo, pronostica el pasado, interpela el presente, le punguea futuro a los almanaques que no existen. Y sin querer, se exilia en Salta, y aunque exiliarse suene tremendo, incluso pretencioso, hay una intensidad en ese concepto que sirve para juntar fuerza, porque está re bueno todo lo que sirve, aguante lo que junte fuerza y haga que las cosas estén mucho mejor, como si la vida fuese un loop de esa canción de Él Mató.

Resulta que, como en todo exilio, lo innombrable siempre es protagonista. Y la piba trae consigo esa constitución invisible, sigue en el medio del baldío y tiembla, pero ni en su cabeza, ni en las páginas que llenará después, escribe la palabra Salta, sólo se dedica a sentir la ciudad, a reconstruirla, a establecerla, desde la siesta, desde las persianas con óxido, desde un departamento, desde un tanque de agua, desde la infamia de cumplir horarios. Así, en pleno despelote minucioso, la piba en el medio del baldío extraña las calles de Villa Urquiza, aprovecha la melancolía y hace lucir el nombre del barrio como un trofeo que le pertenece, y escribe, y escribe, y escribe, la piba en el medio del baldío diagrama poemas en su cabeza, poemas que empoderan todos los úteros del mundo, y se le cae una lágrima, y el corazón de la piba sigue siendo el enter, y escribe versos poderosos para que la virilidad que oprime se desvanezca en su propia lava, y escribe, y escribe, y escribe, y aunque se esté muriendo de frío en una intemperie tan precisa, está convencida, reconoce su clase, defiende las batallas que nos exceden, y escribe, y lucha, y comprende:
