Southern lapwing, Ushuaia. I saw one en route to the Tierra del Fuego park, and was like 'noooo what if I never see one again" 😂 turns out they're quite common.
Anyway, last one from there! Now I just have a few from Iguazú left.
Btw I didn’t say this before but I loved all the commentary being like “teru teru, they will mess you up!!” I had no idea they were so aggressive, this one was very chill 🥲

The nature reserve is an amazing place for wildlife viewing. It protects several endangered land species and offers stunning shoreline vistas with whales in winter and penguins, sea lions and seals all year. I am not a wildlife person but have been stunned on several visits by the close-up views of wildlife.

Patagonian mara: The monogamous rodents that mate only a few times a year but pee on each other constantly
Male Patagonian maras follow females wherever they go and rub poop on the ground around them to deter rival males.
