on the whole idea of the boys when they're older interacting with kids, what if one day a kid comes in with his family who's like rly shy and timid, like not bc of abuse he's just rly shy and with his family who are perhaps quite boisterous and he's not and he gets quite anxious and there's a whole thing where the boys are able to bring him out of his shell ;~; like when he and his family are sitting down for a meal dean comes out with their food and makes him relax bc hes so good with kids. he comes down during the night bc he heard a noise and got scared and cas is down there cleaning up for the night and talks to him about nature to calm him down and the boy is like :)) and then the next morning he's outside and there's other kids who are playing with sam and he's off to the side but sam notices and is able to bring him into the play and he ends up making friends with the other kids, and then by the time the family have to leave the inn he's like smiling and happy and he turns to his parents and is like 'can we come back here soon :D' and it's this rly nice moment, maybe from his perspective so we get to see others reactions to the boys :))

ALSO AS I WAS WRITING THIS I HAD AN EPIPHANY WHAT IF THE BOY IS JACK. DOESN'T NEED TO BE BUT IT WORKS KINDA WELL!!

awwww this is so cute!!! Maybe this could be combined with the prompt about cas helping the family with an autistic child and helping the parents understand their kid better....like maybe the kid is autistic and so he has a hard time talking sometimes and is withdrawn bc of difficulty interacting with others. and dean is so good with kids, even if he can't spot right away that the kid is autistic like cas would be able to, he can tell when he comes out with the food that the kid is in distress. like he's like and here's yours sir :) to the kid (dean is very polite but he is calling the kid sir as a bit of a joke to make the kid smile) and the kid like doesnt look up and the parents are like oh sorry he's just shy. and dean is like oh. hmmm. cause the kid has like his fingers clenched in his tunic. when he comes back out he like crouches next to the kid to make him feel more comfortable and is like hey :) i'm dean :) and the kid doesnt look up or say anything and the parents r like sorry he gets like this idk why. jack look at the nice boy and introduce yourself. (i didnt watch the later seasons but from what i see on tumblr.edu the consensus is that jack is autistic so!) and dean is like no thats ok he doesnt have to look at me/talk to me. and then to jack he's like. u know i have a friend who doesn't always look at people or talk to them and we get along just fine. so i think me and jack are gonna get along great :) and then to jack he's like. you know. my friend and i dont always talk using our voices. sometimes we use our hands! (i guess this is post meeting eileen- i've said this on a different post but once dean cas and sam r introduced to the concept of sign language they adopt it immediately bc cas feels so much more comfortable communicating like that when he's having trouble w/ words) and jack is like ??! so turns towards dean w/o making eye contact, clearly intrigued. and dean is like :) wanna see? :) and jack nods. and dean shows him a few basic signs and jack mimics him. and one of the words is upset. and then once jack learns it, dean signs "you upset?" to him. ;~; and jack nods. and dean is like. wanna tell me what's up? maybe i can help! and then jack does the shy kid thing of indicating with body language that they dont wanna say what's wrong out loud, so dean leans in and jack whispers into his ear "loud." and dean is like oh! i see! we can fix that :) can i tell your parents what you just told me? and jack nods. so dean says to the parents (who r looking on in bemusement) its a bit loud in here for jack. mind if i take him outside for a minute? and the parents are like oh! sweetheart why didnt you tell us? (they arent bad parents they just dont get jack and its the middle ages so its not like there is info out there) and jack shrugs and the parents sort of helplessly shrug at each other, bc jack not verbalizing issues is a common problem for them. and they r like um its ok u dont have to take him outside we will take him. but do u mind bringing our food outside and stuff. like can we eat there. and dean is like of course no problem! and theyre like r u sure? im sorry that u have to go out of ur way for us, im sorry about our son, he can be. kinda fussy sometimes. and dean is like literally dont worry about it!

so then jack's parents take him outside and they all eat on the porch, and dean keeps popping back over to check on them. and jack is clearly much happier and starts to become much more verbal now that he's not overstimulated. still shy and quiet but much more smiley and every time dean brings them something he's very quietly like "thank you."

omg! maybe dean notices that he's not eating his food and so he's like do we want something else? and the parents r like omg no omg im sorry he's just so particular about what he likes omg the food is great jack pls eat ur food dont be rude. and dean is like he's not being rude at all he's a very polite young man :) id be happy to bring something else out. and the parents r like. well. if you're sure...he likes things that r like. boring. like really really boring. like plain porridge with nothing in it and stuff like that. and dean is like mashed potatoes? and the parents r like yes! and jack perks up. and so he brings that out for jack. and he brings it out and the parents r like omg omg thank u SO much for going so out of ur way for our weird kid even tho he still wont look at u at all. they dont say that part they're not assholes to jack, its implied tho and jack kinda curls into himself bc hes embarrassed about causing problems. and dean ofc notices and is like. u know. my friend who talks with his hands can be very particular too. he doesnt like the noise in the dining room either, and he also only likes certain foods. and jack perks up again :)

ahhh he keeps coming out to check on them and he's like hey how u doing? and!! oh no maybe dean also taught him the sign for happy and he signs "happy" at dean ;~:

to be clear- dean doesn't make the connection that jack LIKE like cas, as in he's autistic, at least not yet. like i think he WOULD if he had more time with him, but cas is the only autistic person he's ever met, and he just met jack. dean def just thinks he's very shy, but he's great with kids and can tell right away that jack is upset, and he shows him the signs not cause he realizes that jack is actually non-verbal in that moment but because he really doesnt care if the kid doesn't want to talk to him, he just wants to help. and he shows him the signs and stuff bc he wants the kid to tell him whats wrong, but kids wont tell strangers that if u just ask upfront, you have to gain their trust a little first ;~; and dean understands all of this instinctually bc he's great with kids so he manages to figure out whats wrong and solve the problem even without realizing that jack is autistic. ;~;

the person who figures out that jack is autistic is definitely cas!! jack comes down in the middle of the night maybe not cause he hears a noise, maybe he just cant sleep bc he hates his routine being disrupted and being in a new place ;~; and the sheets feel all wrong and everything smells wrong and everything is different and he hates it ;~; so he comes downstairs maybe be he's crying and he doesnt want to wake his parents up. and cas is downstairs cleaning up still, it's totally quiet tho now so there is no overstimulation. and cas is like oh! a tiny person!! uuhhh.... he def panics a little bc he's not good w people and he's not sure what to do with a random crying child. maybe he briefly considers waking dean up bc dean is good with kids and also maybe he saw dean talking to jack earlier. but then hes like no dean is tired i dont want to bother him ill try to deal with it. and hes like um. hello. um. my name is castiel i am the owner of this inn. um i guess u dont care about that. um. r u ok? and then the kid signs "upset" ;~; and cas is like oh! bc thats their signs! so he signs "what's wrong, why are you upset?" back even tho like it's just their home signs so how would this kid know them. but he signed "upset" so cas responds kinda on instinct. and the kid does not understand anything other than upset bc dean only showed him like 5 signs and he kinda already forgot the other ones. but it doesnt matter! bc those r hand words like dean was talking about and showing him! which must mean this is his friend who doesnt like looking at people or talking!! and jack is verbally like. r u dean's friend who doesnt like looking at people or talking. and cas is like um? yeah i guess? thats me. and jack is like ! i am very particular too! and bc he trusts dean and now by extension cas, and believes dean about cas being "particular" like him, he doesnt feel embarrassed about admitting what's wrong. and he spills his guts hes like everything is WRONG i dont like how anything feels or smells or tastes and everything is different from how it is at home and i HATE it and mom and dad says thats rude but i dont want to be rude but i cant sleep bc everything is all wrong!!! ;~; and he says all this not looking at cas and waving his hands around his head. and cas is like......................................................................oh. hm. i see. this is Me.

so he's just very empathetic and is like im really sorry i totally understand, you're not being rude, i also feel that way whenever we travel and i also am very selective about what i can touch and eat and stuff and am very sensitive to the physical environment. i know i cant fix it all but is there anything i can do to help you feel better? do u want to try some different blankets? and he takes jack to the linen closet and is extremely patient as he brings down each blanket and lets jack touch each one and decide which is the best. and it DOESNT solve everything but just having someone take him seriously and listen to him makes jack feel so much better and hes eventually able to go back to sleep ;~;

in the morning theyre outside, sam who's like 16 or whatever is chasing the kids around playing tickle monster. and jack's parents try to get him to go play with sam and the other kids but he doesnt want to he's too shy and anxious. and cas keeps staring at jack like :( bc he KNOWS but he doesnt know what to do about it. he brings it up with dean and dean is like OH. i see THATS what was going on with him he's like you! and cas is like yeah :( idk what to do about it...

sam sees jack hanging around with his parents on the side and he's like hey! do u want to come play? and jack is like................ and his parents r like sorry hes really shy. and sam is like thats ok! i have an idea, why dont we change the game and we can play hide and seek! (bc that doesnt require jack to jump in to interacting with a big crowd of kids) he's like :) i bet u can hide real well! :) and jack is like! :D and he nods bc hes like whoa i CAN hide really well! and they play hide and ofc sam is the seeker but when he finds the kids he always kinda turns it into man hunt cause he's like ah HA i got u!!! and he chases them around. and eventually he finds jack and hes like mwahahahaha now im gonna EAT you!!! and jack like screeches and giggles and bolts away and sam chases him and the other kids, and basically he like tricks jack into playing the exact same game they were playing before by like easing him into it by not making the start of the game require walking up to a crowd of ppl. but then once they r in the game he's ok just running around with the other kids :)

meanwhile dean and cas watch this and dean is like. do u want to talk to the parents. and cas is like. :/ i dont know how to do that. like how would we even start that conversation. and dean is like. i can help u :) so he does! he's like hey u remember i was talking about my friend to ur son the other day? this is he! u met him when u were checking in! ive noticed that he's like really really similar to ur son and has some of the same issues, and we were wondering if u wanted to talk about how cas deals with some of those things? and basically dean eases them into the conversation and makes it unintimidating for both parties. and cas teaches the parents all about the concept of sign language, and how going non-verbal is more than just being shy, and like they start describing situations in which jack was like Weird theyre like one time he started screaming and crying and rocking in public we didnt know what to do! and cas is like well where were u? what was going on? and like helps them identify the kinds of sensory things that probably trigger jack and stuff. and just like. its a good convo.

omg and cas is literate by this point and maybe the parents r too and hes like. if u ever wanna write to me and ask me about more shit and whatever pls dont hesitate. and then they DO and basically they help this family understand and raise their autistic son and its great!!! :D

anyway this is a VERY long response i definitely just outlined a mini-fic here.

bwess u i owe u my life... now lets get to the rant (tm): I Get the whole, “hoo hoo lore” thing blizzards got, but I truly do not understand how they put “McCree and Ashe and two others started the Deadlock Gang in Santa Fe, New Mexico” considering ashe literally lives there or that area and then have the GALL...THE NERVE. TO HAVE JESSE SAY HES FROM TEXAS LIKE MOST STEREOTYPICAL COWBOYS LIKE PL EA SE. the only way I can see him even sayin that to Moira is bc hes just fuckin around tbh its already shown/said/implied? that he doesnt like her, and the fact hes possibly straight up LYING to her FACE abt where hes from seems v like him in my opinion KLSDFJLSKDFJDK Which is ANOTHER THING... I love the “goofy charismatic dumbass” thing rlly I do, love that Jesse to bits but we cannot forget the absolute fuckin SMARTS this man has!! along with pessimistic/possibly cynic things he does in his comics!! He’s been through a lot, done a lot of good and a lot of bad, and he’s following his own way each time. yeah he worked under Gabe but even then he had his own rules he would abide by hence him eventually leaving overwatch/blackwatch anyway and!! in his cinematic him saying that “they want me but really they need you” line!!! he knows whats goin on but he either wont or cant go back and i WISH blizzard would touch on that shit!! In a very rambly mood and bored at work so I guess I'm gonna talk about my life (positive, reflective) in a read more?? Idk friends/mutuals/curious passer bys if you wanna see what my lifes been like recently

May has been a WILD month y'all. I moved into an apartment, got my 2nd vaccination, survived mothers day, and I went from temp work to be hired full time and salaried :00

The apartment has been so nice!! Ive been very tired of having no control over my living space so that's been very lovely. Its def still a mess but we are slowly moving in; working on getting hanger to hang clothes up and stuff like that 😂

I didnt expect it but we are also fairly furnished at this point?? Between my parents and my boyfriends family donating stuff they had, them buying a few things as house warming presents, and us buying a few essential items -- we've got a fully furnished kitchen; both have desks; a living room set up is on the way (TV stand, TV, couch); comfy ass bed; and a dresser to pick up when we have time. So like ? Its awesome. Just need to finish cleaning

It actually may be put together when my sibling comes to town! They are moving back to CA/home after spending college + 2 years out in Boston so its going to be the first time in like ? A decade that most of my siblings and i are living on the west coast. With them coming out tomorrow (holy shit its tomorrow!) That means weve got 3/4 in CA

Work itself isnt very exciting but coming on full time is for sure. Nearly doubled my salary 🙏 which is badass ngl. Excited to be the sugar mama/aunty ive always wanted to be 😅

The work itself is fine - if anything i wish they gave me more because I hate having nothing to do 🙃 ik others would kill to play phone games all day but after the 2nd week of 8 hour days of phone games you start to miss busy work lol!

I also think its playing into my energy? Ive just been super exhausted lately. I think its partially because im doing nothing at work? Counter intuitive but sometimes my depressed ass is less depressed and exhausted when I DO stuff. So i think its work (or the lack there of) feeding into depression which the messy ass state of the apartment also feeds into and the feeling of never ending organization/cleaning all has left me very tired ;-;

All in all been an upward trajectory recently I think! Biggest complaint being i wish i had more energy to stay up later and visit w/my boo :( and i wish i had more work just to keep me busy/the day going by quicker. Otherwise I kinda cant believe how good its going?

Idk if you read this you clearly care enough about me/were curious enough to read this and i hope you know ily! A lot of y'all on this hellsite have seen me break down so its nice that for once im coming on here to ramble about things that arent catastrophic and horrible. A lot of yall have been there to support me and are def part of why im still kicking it today so thanks for caring about me! Whether it was enough to be my friend/mutual or if it was just enough to read my post :)

“Where is y/n?” John asks as he walks into the house looking around for you.

“Oh she is probably out with Jo and Castiel” Mary replies as she begins to cook dinner for the family

Once a week your brothers come over for dinner since they are so busy working all the time and Mary felt lonely as her boys got busier.

“She better not be out with that Styne boy, dont want those good for nothing Stynes getting into her head” John says as he gets a beer out of the fridge and opens it.

He leans against the counter as he thinks of the scenarios of the things they would tell you. Mary rolls her eyes as she places the roast into the oven.

“Im sure she is just at the library getting her school work done with Jo or Castiel” Mary says as she checks on the other food she is preparing on the stove top.

“Im going to call Ezra if she sees her there” John says as he reaches for the home phone

“John, really? You��re going to call Ezra Moore if she sees our daughter studying with her friends?” She asks in disbelief

“I just dont her”

“Dont want her hanging out with Cyrus. I know. You have been saying that ever since Dean was born” Mary cuts off John and knew exactly what he is going to say. He has been saying that for so many years and at this point Mary is getting tired of hearing about it.

She reflects back to the time when Dean was in pre school and it was the only one in town. Dean befriended Jacob. One day John stopped by the school to have lunch with his wife and son. Until he saw his own son interacting with a Styne. John grabbed Dean away from Jacob and stormed out of the school with Dean tucked under his arm.

Mary rushes out the door to chase John and in front of the school John causes a scene. John put Dean inside the car while Mary and John argued. Later John and Chuck hired a babysitter to care for their children, so that either of them wouldnt be in a same place with a Styne.

Her boys grew up to hate the Stynes, along with her friends children except her. She has always spoke her mind about the family history and how that always sparked an argument between her and her husband. When she gave birth to you is when you saw everything differently, she realized you didnt care if Cyrus is a Styne. All you cared for was he is a good friend. And thats what she loves about you. You didnt allow the family history get in between your friendship. Neither did Jo or Castiel.

She knows exactly what the family history is about, thankfully she didnt grow up in the town. She grew up else where and met John at a Led Zeppelin concert while John was home from Vietnam. She didnt like the fact John kept you from your best friend and should just leave the family politics out of your friendship, well everyone should.

“Invite Adam over to. I hardly ever see him” Mary says while continuing the cooking

“Sure thing Ma” John replies as he smiles to his wife and gets on the phone to call Adam.

Dean looks to his watch and finishes off his paper work for the day and begins to place the papers in their rightful files. He sees his colleagues do the same as well and he nods to them.

“Off work as well?” Dick asks as he places his paper work away as well

“Yes, I think this time I am actually going to be on time for family dinner” Dean replies as he grabs his jacket and places it on.

“Off to family dinner Dean?” Michael asks as he files his papers away

“Yeah, I am going to have a decent meal rather then eating out all the time” he replies while he walks out with Dick and Michael.

The late shift begins to take over the hospital and for once Dean can have some decent family time.

“What are you two up to?” Dean asks before he gets into his beloved impala

“I have family dinner as well” Michael replies as he unlocks his door

“I as well” Dick says while getting into the passenger side of Michaels car.

“Alright, see you both in a couple weeks” Dean says while he starts the engine and his baby roars to life

“You’re not in next week?” Michael asks before he drives off.

“No, I’ll be at the clinic next week. Follow ups with my other patients” Dean replies looking to Michael.

“Tell your family we say hi and see you in a couple weeks” Dick says as Michael drives off and waves.

Dean drives out of the parking lot as well, he sees a familiar car driving by as he stops at a red light. He recognizes Castiel’s car and it was driving in the direction of your house.

You notice Dean’s car driving behind and knew that he was heading to your house for family dinner. For once he is going to be on time you thought to yourself.

Castiel stops in front of your house, as you unbuckle the seat belt and get out of the car.

“Well I’ll see you guys at school” You say while waving your friends off.

You see Dean pull into the drive way and waited for him to get out of the car.

“Hey big brother” you greet him walking up to him

“Hey sweet heart” he greets you back as he gives you a hug.

You link arms with him and walk to the house. The both of you hear another car pulling into the drive way and you see its Sam. All of a sudden you see a truck stopping in front of the house.

“Adam?” the three of you say in unison

“Hey guys” Adam says as he gets out of the truck and stops in front of you, Sam and Dean.

“What are you doing here?” you ask looking to your cousin

“Well your dad called and asked if I wanted to come over for dinner and I said yes. So here I am” he replies while looking between his cousins

“Alright, lets head in Im starving” Dean says with a smile on his face as he waves each of you in the house.

John hears the door open and knew that his kids are home from work and school. His nephew is over for dinner knowing he just came from work as well. Mary is happy to see her babies home and happy to see her nephew over for dinner.

“Dean” Mary says as she gives him a hug

“Mom, whats cooking?” He asks going into the dinning room

“Roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy with a side of mixed veggies” she replies as she goes towards Sam

“Sam” she says as she hugs him and pulls away

“Adam, its so good to see you” she says as she hugs him as well and leads him into the kitchen

You smile as your older brothers and cousin begin to head into the dinning room and you take your bag and head up the stairs to take your bag to the room and wash up for dinner.

“Where are you going baby girl?” your dad asks stopping you from taking another step

“Im heading up to my room to drop off my bag and wash up before dinner” you reply looking to your dad

“Ok, hurry” he says and heads into the dinning room as well.

You walk into your room and place your bag by your desk. A notification goes off on your phone and pull it out from your pocket. Its a text message

“Am I seeing you tonight?”

You read the message as you smile but soon fades knowing you couldnt dodge your dad but now that your brothers and cousin are there. You wondered if you can get out of the house unnoticed. You send a quick text and go into the washroom to wash your hands and head down to join the rest of the family.

“Sweet heart how is the first day back at school?” Mom asks while everyone at the table waits for you to answer

“It wasnt so bad, mainly introductions to our classes and just the new teachers in general” you reply while taking another bite of your food

“Ok, then what were you doing after school?” Dad asks while Mom glares at him

“I was hanging out with Jo and Cas. Catching up on what happened during our summer break” you reply while looking to your dad

“Mom this is awesome” you say while complimenting your moms cooking

“Yes, the meat is very tender” Adam says while complimenting her cooking as well

Dinner is spent talking about work at the hospital, at the law firm and at the post office. Dad being completely occupied by your brothers and cousin while Mom cleans a little in the kitchen.

“Hey mom?” you ask while entering the kitchen

“Yes?” she replies as she stops what she is doing and all of her attention is on you.

“Is it alright if I step out for a bit? I wont be long” you tell her while you hope she doesnt ask where and with who

“No, I need your help with the cleaning in here and spend time with your brothers. How often do we get to do that” she replies and continues what she is doing

“Fine” is all you say and send out one more quick text and explaining about not making it

You begin helping your mom putting the food away and storing into containers and into the fridge for tomorrows lunch. Mom started placing the dishes and everything into the dish washer while you begin to wipe the table along with the counters.

When you and your mom are done with the kitchen, the both of you head into the living room to spend time with your brothers and cousin before they head home. You enjoyed your brothers company and felt nice to have them home for a bit.

“Y/n?” Sam says your name and snaps you back to reality

“Hhmm?” you reply while finally paying attention to your brother.

“Arent you going to say goodnight to Adam?” he asks looking between you and Adam

“Sorry, Adam it was nice seeing you. And hope you can come to dinner more often” you invite him while hugging him.

“Yes, it would be nice to come over again. I enjoyed myself and the meal. Thanks Aunt Mary, Uncle John good night. Boys, see ya around and Y/n dont over work yourself” he says while looking around the living room and showing himself out the door.

“What is up with you?” Sam asks looking to you.

“Nothing. Im just full and tired” you simply reply while looking to your older brother.

“Right” Dean says while looking away from the Tv and looks to you.

Dean knew that something is going on but he couldnt put his finger on it. He noticed how secretive you have gone and wondered what you are keeping from him and your family. Usually you are open with your family and when it came to certain things, you would talk to him or Sam about it.

“Just pass me the chips before I start eating them from you hand Dean” you tell him as he passes you the bowl.

You continue to hang out with your brothers while your parents head into their room and go to sleep. Your phone goes off again, you pull it out from your pocket as you read the text and hid your phone away from Dean.

“I really want to see you. Are you free?” the text read

You smile but realize couldnt get away from Dean or Sam, just like they would begin asking questions about you are going to see, how late it is and why they cant come to the house.

“Im sorry, I cant. My brothers are still here” you hit send and hopes the person will understand

“When they leave?” another comes

“Who is texting you? And so late at night” Dean asks while finishing off the last of his beer

“Cas, he is wondering if I have a book from our English class” you lie to him “he just remembered the book” you add

“You want to borrow my car while you take him the book quickly?” Sam asks while Dean whips his head towards him

“Really?” he asks in disbelief

“Yeah, you know how Cas is” Sam replies while you look between your older brothers

“Right, well make it quick” Dean finally says as he nods his head for you to drop off the book

“Im here now, I’ll wait for you” the reply is quick and brought a smile to your face.

You walk out of your room and go down the stairs and get the keys from Sam as you walk out of the door. You watched neighbours as they walked by and looked at you. You felt as though they knew where you are going. It was all in your head.

You made your way to the spot you have always met each other. There he was, waiting in his car, constantly checking his phone if you would send him a text that you are near or at the park. You parked not far from him and you are met with his eyes. The eye contact is what made your stomach flutter, he always made you feel shy at first sigh of meeting each other.

Saturday night I hit a big pothole and a few miles later my tire was completely flat and actually had holes big enough to stick a few fingers through. I took it to a tire repair shop and the rim was bent as a result of the tire going flat. They've found a replacement rim, but it doesn't match the other 3 on the car.. I would like all matching rims, but a complete set with tires is about $800. Would something like this be covered by auto insurance? Lots of info, sorry! My car was parked on the street and hit during the night. I drove the car to the repair place the following morning and the airbag deployed on the way there. (Stupid, I know, I wasn't thinking). My insurance company, GEICO is insisting that the damage is not consistent with a hit and run accident. They have taken recorded statements from me and my boyfriend. They have contracted an independent accident reconstructionist to read the airbag deployment. The reconstructionist originally told me that he was unable to retrieve the data, but the insurance company is now telling me that he was able to get a partial reading. And that it shows that the airbag deployed as a result of impact. The airbag did not actually fully deploy. There is no powder or injury to me to justify a complete deployment. Does anybody know if they have the right to deny my claim based on suspicion? They keep trying to make me say that my boyfriend was driving the car, which he wasn't. We were in the house together all night. Also: car was in previous fire; severe damage to front of car, all repaired. accident happened in CA, full coverage policy written in GA I know its a lot of info. Car Accident Advice: Someone hit me and doesn't want to go thru insurance?

Someone recently hit my car while it was parked across the street from my house. I almost thought it was a hit and run till I found their business card on my windsheild. I called her and she said she'd rather not go through her insurance but pay me directly for the damage to my car. I said to hell with it, and had to come up with 2,600 to pay off the remaining part of the loan, and then go buy another car. Last year, I seen my car in the next town over. Same vin number, same paint chipped bumper, same fist mark behind the passenger door. I was mad, but blew it off. Then, I seen it on a buy sell trade site and decided to inquire about the details. The guy bought it for $800 and didn't have to fix anything on it except for what I needed to fix before the flood (window regulator, wheel baring, and new tires). He told me he thought I had committed insurance fraud to get a pay out from them. So, I called my old insurance company, and the lady took all my information down and gave me the adjustor's number, the adjustor's supervisor's number, and the fraud department's number. I called the adjustor, left a message, and then filed a claim with the fraud department. They said to expect a call from them next week. What exactly happens in a case like this?? I don't expect a hefty payout or anything, but still, I've never known anyone who had this happen to them, but I do know people who committed insurance fraud. My current insurance is with state farm; just a question; if i got hit by someone without car insurance and is their fault; they dont have any money to pay for my damage; since i dont have the uninsure motor coverage but i have collision with deductible of 500 dollar; would my collision cover me after i pay the 500 dollar? i guess my real question is what is the point of having uninsure motor coverage when i have collision coverage? would i need both? or just collision would be sufficient?

My car was hit while it was parked in my own driveway 4 days ago (in NY state). The police came and filed a report. I asked them for the other drivers insurance info, but they said I would have to wait for the police report and it would include that information. They advised it would be available after 5 business days at a cost of $5.00. I think the information should have been made available immediately so I could have filed a claim with the other person's insurance company. I don't suspect they will get rich by charging $5.00, so I don't know why I have to wait for the info. I am concerned that the other person's insurance will question the delay in filing the claim. Is this normal? I would really like to get my car fixed as soon as possible and am frustrated that I have to wait to get information that I think should have been immediately available. The driver that hit my car admitted to being on heavy duty prescription drugs at the time of the accident, but said that wasn't the cause of the accident. They said they had a seizure and had a documented history of seizures (which makes me think they shouldn't have a valid license anymore). The police seemed suspicious, but said they wouldn't issue any tickets as long as the person agreed to go to the hospital for treatment of seizures.
