1) a book that is close to your heart: i talk about it a lot but The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. the first book that ADHD problem child baby bean ever read and felt Seen in 💕

7) a book you did not finish: losing my MIND about Husband Material by Alexis Hall. i WANT to finish it but i legitimately CANNOT get over the fact that the author made one of the characters a vegan for ethical reasons after he had a whole ass Moment about a bacon sandwich and Expectations in the previous book. it is SO stupid that i can't get past this but alas

of course, none other than king943 hSJADJSAJHAS. He’s a little secret I’ll let you all in on: the first person I actually noticed in TXT was,,,,,,, Kang Taehyun hSDHJAHJSDAHSA but he wasn’t my bias. I just thought he was cute (also amused me bc my BTS bias was Taehyung and I found a guy named Taehyun cute), but I didn’t stan them then. I started stanning when I saw ONE DREAM.TXT where they talked to BTS and found them really cute and endearing. Looking into them, they were wild, and chaotic and so fun and also i got rEAAAALLY attached to Soobin. So here I am. There u go, my stanning story.

I think there should be a good balance of both. The words will have the ability to give you this sense of comfort and satisfaction and you know just overall a peace of mind when you hear the right words??? and physical affection bc sometimes it’s just better to get a hug or a kiss isntead of talking yk? actions speak louder than words sometimes

Honestly, this would depend. If I’m reading a book and feeling very vintage with a hot cup of coffee, definitely a rocking chair. If I’m watching TV and basically just chilling I’d go for Bean Bag. I like maintaining the atmosphere.

I view it as in-between, because there’s always room for improvement. There’s always things to change, and consider, and make better. There’s no such thing as perfect.

favorite season and why

Winter! Even if I’ve never experienced snow or winter before, the whole idea of snow is just really fun and endearing to me. One of my bucketlists is to see snow in real life. I think it has to do with the fact that I’ve always been this person to prefer the cold over heat.

what made you enter tumblr?

I’ve always been here! Just not in kpop tumblr. I’ve since deleted my old accounts and shame  but i came back to write. It’s always been so stress-relieving to me, to write without any expectations on my back because I’m thinking about grades or a competition. Also Soobin simping is a daily thing and I gotta release it somewhere man

are you happy with where you are in life right now? why or why not?

Yes. I may not be the richest or the prettiest, or smartest or whatever, but I have a good family that loves me. I have good friends that support me and I have TXT and BTS to help me cope when things get overwhelming. I have a job that gives me a little bit of income (it’s not too common for college students here to get jobs like in the US, most of them just focus on acads) and all the means to continue my education amidst the pandemic. So really, I’m grateful for where I am now.

to see the boys in real life but for it to happen only once in your lifetime, or to meet the boys via online fan meeting as many times as you can in your lifetime? why?

Why do you have to do me dirty cj,,,,, prolly online. I may not get to hug them or anything but I get to talk to them still. As may times as I want to. And as a girl whose sanity literally just depends on Soobin giggles rn it’ll be very therapeutic to me to see them and talk to them as much as I could, even just through a screen.

1: My name? do I HAVE to?  Okay, it’s Kelly.  But I really hate it, so usually I go by Kel.  A few lucky ones get to call me Kelly, but only because I love the way my name sounds when they say it.  There, my dirty secret is out.

Pay off bills, go back to college, buy myself a car (pickup, Ford F-150 with fog lights and automatic steering), pay off my mom's bills, hire an aide to stay with Mom, move to my favorite city and hire a winter-time driver because I can't drive for shit in the snow/ice.

74: Favourite place on the planet? Asheville, NC.  Technically, it's Montreat, which is right outside of Black Mountain and is a township unto itself.  It's also home to Montreat Bible College, established by Billy Graham, and the Chapel of the Prodigal.  It is also home to Lake Susan, one of the most quiet and beautiful places on God's green earth, and I would live by that little lake if I could.  I have photos in my Google Drive, I need to share them sometime.  You'll see what I mean.  But I love Asheville, too, downtown and all.  

75: Where do I want to live? Asheville, NC.  Except I can't drive in the snow and ice, so there's that.

84: Story behind one of my scars? in late 2004, I started getting very ill.  I couldn't keep food down, I was puking all the time, pale and everything, so I went to the ER and found I had a mass the size of a basketball growing in my abdomen.  I was shipped to the local cancer center because of the cancer markers, and at the tender age of 27, I got a hysterectomy.  I was cut from my navel to my diaphragm, old school, because the mass was twenty-four pounds.  Benign, thank goodness, but it had started to go necrotic and I was well into blood poisoning (the reason I was puking and sick all the time).  I still have the scar, and always will.

Hot.

I’m a desert-dwelling gal, so my body is built to withstand the heat, even if I’m uncomfortable it rarely gets unbearable. I cannot stand the cold, though. It’s incredibly uncomfortable and I hate how my hands and nose go numb even if it’s just barely below like 70 (70 itself is honestly pretty chilly though, let’s be honest)

LOCUST: What was your favorite book as a child?

Oh man idk. I had always loved reading, but Rick Riordan made it an even bigger thing for me to the point where I’d read the original Percy Jackson series almost 30 times before I started middle school, so probably one of those.

I read it so many times that I can still tell you stupid little details from the first book that no one else really payed attention to, like what size shirt Clarisse wore (XXXL, I think. If not, then just XXL).

ZINNIA: Who was your best friend when you were six years old?

I honestly don’t think I had one? Like, I went to a charter school for kindergarten and 1st grade, and I was the oldest kid because my parents didn’t put me in school until I was 5, but everyone else was 4. I’ve been pretty awkward my whole life, so I never had any real friends, I don’t think. It was more like “this group of people was nice to me last week, but now they’re not and this other group is so I’ll play with them” so between 5-7 I didn’t really have any real friends. I was just passed around the kids in the class a few times per year until I moved to public school in the 2nd grade, where I made my first two real friends.

I suppose an argument could be made that someone at my church could’ve been my best friend, but honestly I don’t remember anyone from my church from that time except for this guy that I kissed when I was 4, but that’s another story and this answer is already too long lol

PEONY: What’s your favorite hot beverage?

I actually don’t like any hot beverages lol. Coffee is gross and I can’t have caffeine. I’m too scared to try most teas (but I at least know I don’t like earl gray), but again we have the issue of me not being able to have caffeine.

I would say hot chocolate, but I can’t really drink that either. Like, it tasted good the one or two times I’ve had it, but the drink itself is so thick and heavy that it tends to make me feel really sick shortly after drinking it.

AMSONIA: Would you ever become a vegan?

No lol. I’m already way too picky. If I removed animal products from my diet, idk if there would be much left that I would eat. Plus, I really love milk. I drink it all hours of the day (if I’m home, people think it’s weird so I don’t drink milk at school or other places lol).

DAFFODIL: What’s the most thoughtful present you’ve ever received?

Oh man, idk?????? Like, my parents were really awesome and got me a camera last year for my birthday/Christmas. Or my friend got me a carebear stuffed animal (Friendship Bear) for Valentines Day, but gave it to me early because I hadn’t been doing well and that was really sweet. Or my friend came to my family birthday dinner and surprised me, and that was really cool of her. 

And this is just stuff I remember off the top of my head from recently. Like, this oen time in elementary school I wanted to go to the county fair that year but my parents wouldn’t take us, so my friends who went brought me back a stuffed unicorn from it and I still have it in the house somewhere.

Honestly, I just have a lot of wonderful people in my life that give me wonderfully thoughtful things and I love them so much.

CALLA LILY: If you died right now, what song would you want to play at your funeral?

Shoot, idk. I never really thought about it. Lol I think about dying a lot, but I never really think about what would happen after I did. Umm, I wouldn’t want my funeral to be a sad event. I wouldn’t want a sad song. I want people to be celebrating the time they had with me, not mourning that I’m now gone. I don’t want people to be hurting.

I went searching from this one song I would sometimes hear on the Christian radio stations because I brought the lyrics to mean something they probably weren’t intended to lol. I took it to mean that, yeah, okay, I don’t really fit into what society says a “Christian” should be and most Christians hate me for who I am and what I believe, but my God made me this way and He loves me so it doesn’t matter what you say. And so I’d want that to play, because a lot of things I kept secret would come to light if I died.

Like, yeah, I’m queer and liberal and think a lot of things that Christians say that a Christian shouldn’t, but my God set me free. My God’s love made me more than enough. My God set me free. So I’m going to be who he made me to be, and he made me to be queer and liberal and a lot of things Christians say I shouldn’t be. But screw them. 

And now that I’m dead, they deserve to know. And they deserve to know that I went out knowing that my God isn’t a crappy dude, like their God is.

River Styx Market seemed like your average market/convenience store/beer store/whatever, it was a normal store. With a sign in front of the porch that said “YOU CAN BE STUPID RICH, POWERBALL [insert number]” and another that said “TRUMP, SHIRTS HATS, BUMP STICKERS, […]”, which made Danny think that the first sign should exclude the powerball information as well as the word “rich” and leave only the “YOU CAN BE STUPID” part facing the sign that said “TRUMP” on the top. But he also knew that if he left the “rich”, the phrase would still fit with the first word of the sign it was facing, so he just shrugged it off and walked inside.

The store was crowded with typical road-side store merchandise, and Danny decided to just keep walking when he saw confederate flags for sale in the corner of his eyes. He went straight to the registry, where an old man was slouching over the counter as he watched a flat screen tv on the other side of the store, hung on the wall.

“Uhm,” Danny started, fiddling with his hands, “Hi, sir, I’m waiting for my friends to come pick me up, but I heard something about an accident nearby. You wouldn’t know anything about that, would you?”

Do you wear glasses? Yep. I have to, because without them my vision is really poor that I essentially just see colors and vague shapes.

What were/are your grades like in school? I didn’t care for elementary and high school grades because I knew early on they barely matter for when you’re older, but I also didn’t voluntarily fail. My grades generally ranged from 87 to 96, and there were times I’d either super excel in a class (96-100) or completely fail a class, usually math. College is when grades start to matter, so I busted my ass off in the last four years and made sure I didn’t simply fail my classes, but that I got excellent grades from them.

Do you like sweets? What kinds? I don’t like the pure form of sweets, if that makes sense? like I’m not a fan of candies, caramel, or chocolate bars. I like sweet food better when they’re incorporated into a larger meal, like cakes or macarons.

Do you like partying? Yeah, it’s a fun way to hang out with my friends and let loose and forget about my requirements for a while. I wouldn’t do it everyday, but I enjoy it nonetheless.

How many boyfriends/girlfriends have you had? One.

Are you good at drawing? Never. I came to terms with that very early on in kindergarten, when I would always dread drawing activities.

Do you like sports? If so, which are your faves? I love watching volleyball and I’ll tune into a tennis game if I catch it on TV. My favorite one to watch is pro wrestling, if it counts as a sport. It’s more theatre than anything else, but still.

Do you play any intruments? Which ones? Just the recorder from when we learned it in grade school.

Have you ever seen the Percy Jackson movie/s? Nope. I only like a handful of songs of hers: Heart Attack, Give Your Heart a Break, and I especially LOOOOOOVE Cool for the Summer which highkey deserved so much more airplay. I’m generally not a fan of her other songs, and I have moods where her voice in particular annoys me :((

What is your favorite musical? Miss Saigon.

Tarzan or The Lion King? Tarzan. I watched that over and over as a toddler, so it has the nostalgia factor for me for sure. I’ve never seen The Lion King.

Lilo & Stitch or Moana? Moana.

Hercules or Pinocchio? No pick. I’ve never seen Hercules, and while I’ve seen Pinocchio I didn’t enjoy it all that much.

Arthur or Scooby Doo? Arthur, not because of the show but because I owned a lot of Arthur books when I was younger.

Rugrats or Powerpuff Girls? Powerpuff Girls. Nickelodeon aired Rugrats at like 5:30 AM, so I’d only catch it when my grandma was preparing me for school and that was it, and I was always too sleepy to be invested in the episode. I have more fond memories of watching Powerpuff Girls.

Ever seen Pretty Little Liars? No, not my kind of show. Troian Bellisario is super pretty though.
