If you’ve followed me long enough, you know that I have beef with @ardegiwc

Well, I’m not the only one. Today, I am releasing the very long document of evidence against Ardegi, its staff, and the environment it encourages. Take it as you will and form your own opinions.

Here is the link to the information I have gathered.

TL;DR is that Ardegi WC is a toxic environment, and I recommend anyone seeking a WCRP not join.

EDIT: Reblogs are appreciated. I’m not looking for notoriety out of this, I’m more looking to spread information to folks so that they can be informed and make their own decisions.

Ardegi is an Icelandic warrior cat's roleplay based in discord! It's new, and currently accepting high ranks. This roleplay is for all roleplayers, beginners and long-term alike! But applications are only open for a month; be sure to join quickly if you're interested!

Ardegi is the land CliffClan, CoveClan, and ValleyClan have lived on for years. They call it Ardegi for its beautiful sunrises. To them, it's a haven.

But recently, CliffClan has become more and more reclusive. The last time the Clan showed up for a gathering was almost twelve moons ago. Their lack of presence has the other Clan's concerned about what's going on. At the same time, ValleyClan is recovering from a devastating flood that happened moons ago.

As a result, another, unexpected Clan has branched from ValleyClan and are calling themselves PondClan. The new rivalry for resources in the same area has ValleyClan and PondClan constantly at each other's throats.

In an attempt to settle the dispute between the two Clan's, CoveClan has decided to try and reach out to their reclusive "neighbors". What will come of this?

Hello!

Recently it has come to our attention that one of the previous members - Bep, has decided to express their opinions and experience regarding their time in the server. Because they are the first to come off of anon and express their story, we feel it's important that the community understand why we - the staff - made the decisions that we did.

Ardegi, at the time of Bep being a part of the server, did not have an age cap. We service minors and adults alike and have to take very seriously what minors are exposed to in our community. We are not parents, but we must take the role of a parent when considering what is okay and not okay across the entire discord - the vent chat included.

All of the adult members, who join Ardegi, have a responsibility to the minors of Ardegi to monitor and censor their content appropriately- including any associated links.

In the situation with Bep, this was the main concern. Ardegi, although a community, is not a place to seek extensive relief for mental health. All members - especially adults - are expected to understand their own limits and step back from the server when they feel they are in need of help.

Bep showed, time and time again, they struggled with this capacity and the staff became concerned over their mental health.

What lead us to make the firm decision of forcing a complete absence from the discord was after a series of events Bep has highlighted. The timeline of events includes.

> A roleplay happening between two members of Ardegi - Space and Mc

> Bep responding to the roleplay in vent by expressing they weren't good enough as a writer.

> A public tumblr post made after an episode of suspected self harm and relief gained from self-harm.

After this situation multiple members, adult members, came to us with their concerns and immediately expressed feeling unsafe being in the same space as Bep. The staff's concerns, as a whole, can be summarized by a screenshot linked at the bottom of this post - which was taken directly from Staff Chat at the time.

Out of concern for the environment of Ardegi and Bep's own safety, we asked them to leave on their own, peacefully. Bep is right in saying that we did not give them the option, at the time of the incidences, not to leave. By the rules and standards set by the staff members, we deemed them unsafe for this environment.

In regards to the follow up with Ken,

Although Ken is a mod of Ardegi, Ken is a minor and approached Bep on their own accord despite being asked to step back from the situation. What Ken told Bep does not represent the collective views of Ardegi as a whole. She had no part in writing this, and she had genuinely misunderstood the situation. As such, any misinformation was not meant. Do not attempt to contact her for her own mental well-being.

We feel that, in regards to the situation, we made the right decision out of concern for the overall health of the server.

We would also like to add that the Ardegi staff holds no ill feelings towards Bep whatsoever, and we respect the fact that they have decided to speak about their experiences. We are posting to be transparent and clear the air. Any hate or harassment sent towards them is absolutely unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
