Hi friends. I have been busy with a lot of things.

Things I have done in 3 days —

Write a poem for recitation on farewell day. ✅️

Design the invitation cards. ✅️

Write the script for the Vote-of-thanks. (almost done)

Guide my classmates with the practicals. ✅️

Write the practical record. ✅️

Tomorrow, I have got —

P3 u1 test + mid-sem practical exam

P4 u1 test + mid-sem practical exam

These tests are really important in the exam pov...and I haven't even started studying yet. 🙃

so far...

- woke up at 5:45 a.m.

- exercised

- had breakfast + took a shower

- spent some time reading the newspaper

- started P4 (Cell Biology)

and...now I gotta go have lunch

First 30 mins: silence, suffering, collective confusion.

Last 15? The teacher shows up and speed runs the rest like it’s an exam, and we’re all in on the same caffeine high.

I start college on Wednesday, and I have a LOT to cover so...

Mid-Sem update:

Media, Culture & Society ✅️

done. i am finally done with exams.

Now, I'll be taking a break. I'll be offline for a few days — just need to breathe, take care of my life a little, and figure out some stuff for this summer. Vacation officially starts 1st may. I'll see you guys then.

also. story time.

I got back home after the exam — and literally 15 minutes later — had to run back to college for my Botany practical exams. They didn’t notify us, didn’t inform us, just scheduled it like it was no big deal. We showed up, and they handed us the materials right then and there and told us to study on the spot before taking the exam.

and guess what? I did. and not to brag, but… i aced it. 😂

so... I kind of forgot to post this. I did write it — it just somehow ended up in my drafts, and then I didn’t open tumblr for like… a week. And now I’m posting it late. Disappointed.

Monday | 05/12 | 11:00 p.m.

Just one hour before I turn 20.

It doesn’t feel different, exactly—but somehow, it does. Like I’m on the edge of something new, even if everything around me looks the same.

Last year, around this time, I was excited. But turning 19 turned out to be my worst birthday. Chaotic, traumatic, and heavy in ways I still don’t fully know how to explain. Honestly, the year that followed was mostly the same—tragic, draining, exhausting. Physically, mentally, emotionally.

But the last few months of being 19 were different. They were quiet. Introspective. Transformative in ways I never expected. I started reflecting more, feeling more, understanding myself better. It wasn’t always easy, but it was fulfilling. And for the first time in a long time, I started dreaming about the future again.

So here I am—an hour away from 20. And it feels… original. Mundane, almost. Like just another day. But there’s something in me that knows—this feeling might make all the difference.

complete P4 (not the entire unit b/c I am stupid, and I thought I could do it, anyway...)

revise MCS notes + the upcoming topic for tomorrow's class

revise P4 u3 (because my processors decided to start 2 units at the same time)

revise QLT syllabus (opt., if I get time which I don't think I will...)

Read a Nautilus article

hair wash day

take care of a long-overdue gift

do a Korean lesson (I used to maintain a proper notebook other than using Duolingo but because of exams and all, I kind drifted apart from that practice, so I hope I get to do it today.)

read a few pages of Curious by Ian Leslie

That's all, I guess...if I remember something else (and if it's possible for me to do something else), I will update it.

It was a great day.

– missed my english class and got judged for it. (not my fault, trust me.)

– had a really fulfilling (& overwhelming) discussion about grad school and stuff with my professor. (I initiated, by the way.)

– somehow found myself in charge of the closing speech (vote of thanks) at our seniors' farewell

– ah, I will be reciting poetry, too. (not so sure though)

(jokes apart, I am really grateful for this opportunity, thanks to my sweet seniors :))

A life update.

It's been a week since my last post. Things have been super chaotic and a little too fast. College has me spiralling.

This week's achievements:

P3 U1 test + mid-sem practical exam ✅️

P4 U1 test + mid-sem practical exam ✅️

I absolutely aced it!

Botany Practical subm. ✅️

English assgn. subm. ✅️

Topic: The role of brainstorming in academic and creative writing

QLT assgn. subm. ✅️

Topic: Profit & Loss

MCS assgn. subm. ✅️

Topic: Impact of Economy on Intercultural Communication (most favourite. I did a lot of work.)

Surprise Tests: ✅️

Botany; eh! (still good though)

English; nailed it

MCS; nailed it

QLT; fucking nailed it.

Farewell VOT ✅️

Farewell was chaotic. I did deliver the VOT (ofc—formalities), but there wasn’t enough time left for my poem. sighs

I really did put my heart into it.

Anyway, phew! That was something, huh?

Next week? MID-SEM.

(Is it strange to admit that I'm kind of lowkey excited?)

my plan is to study at least till 10:30 p.m. I'll sleep afterwards, wake up early, and start my day.

To-do list for now:

revise cell cycle (meiosis) for class.

revise microbiology for class. (I am already done with u1. I just have to revise.)

write down questions for upcoming discussion. (most imp.)

Classes start from 11:30 a.m. so I have got time to get some work done...after making sure I am done with these ones.

I have been feeling so...gloomy ever since returning from college. The worst part is that I don't know why.
