You lately had a bad habit of staying in bed until 10 minutes before you had to leave. Which is also when Archie would come get you if you weren’t at his house.

Your parents had already left for work and Archie had a key to get into your house. Your door opened and you were still in bed.

“Y/N.” He said sternly, “You’re gonna be late and make me late.”

You groaned at him and rolled over; something about school had changed this year and you never felt like going. Archie was always distracted with Veronica and your other best friend, Betty was involved with Jughead now.

Archie threw back your covers and you rolled your eyes at him. You slept in a t-shirt and underwear. You got too hot if you slept in anything else.

Archie paused and mumbled something awkwardly, he never had a problem like this before. But since you two had fallen asleep together and cuddled it was weird now.

You groaned and threw yourself out of bed, pulling sweatpants on. You pretty much dressed the total opposite of how Betty and Veronica dressed. They were always so put together. You hadn’t cared recently.

You got ready quickly in your bathroom and returned to find Archie sitting on your bed. “Are you okay? Are we still friends, Star?” He has pulled your childhood nickname out. He hadn’t called you that in a few years.

“I’m fine Arch. And yes you big dummy, of course we are.” You sat next to him and grabbed his hand, “I just don’t wanna get in the way with Veronica and then Betty has Jughead. I just feel left out all the time. Even Cheryl’s notices and asked me to hang out.” You sighed.

“I don’t like Veronica like that.” He started to say something else, but stopped.

“She’s telling everyone you’re dating.” He was taken back by this, obviously Veronica Lodge was up to no good.

“Well that’s just dumb. Come on, let’s go to school. I’m sorry we haven’t hung out or anything. I’ll make more time for you. I promise.”

You nodded and stood up to leave with him. He hadn’t let go of your hand the whole time you were talking. He put his arm around you and the two of you walked to school.
