The temple known for the beautiful fragrances. Parsurameswara Temple, a perfect representation of Kalingan Architecture. The temple was built by the Shailodbhavas. Researchers say the temple construction was during 5th Century, but most of the scholars agreed it is from the 7th century. The temple has the assembly hall the Jagamohana. This is said to be the first temple of Kalingan Architecture to have a Jagamohana. The temple is a Shaiva Shrine, still it worships the earliest representation of Mahishamardini Durga. The parswadevatas on the walls of the temple are the shakta deities. Visit this temple after the lockdown and have a look at the spectacular architecture, statues, motifs and designs of the ancient Kalinga. #templesofindia #templesofinstagram #templecity #bhubaneswar #odishatourism #shotongopro #odishaaa #discoverodisha #discoverbhubaneswar #odishatales #404routes #odishaclicks #odishafightscorona #covi̇d19 #stayhome #staysafe #asi #archeologicalsurveyofindia #kalinga #shiva #spiritualtourism #incredibleindia #oldtown #myphotography #traveldiaries #throwback (at Parsurameswar Temple) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_hamB2lQPr/?igshid=1b2qh8km3dxky

Descent of the Ganges is a monument at #Mamallapuram, on the Coromandel Coast of the Bay of Bengal, in the Kancheepuram district of the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Measuring 96 by 43 feet (29 m × 13 m), it is a giant open-air rock relief carved on two monolithic rock boulders. The legend depicted in the relief is the story of the descent of the sacred river Ganges to earth from the heavens led by #Bhagiratha. #descentoftheganges #Temple #mahabalipuram #pondydiaries #IncredibleIndia #IndianTemples #unescoworldheritage #architechture #archeologicalsurveyofindia #IncredibleIndia #CitywithPast #Heritage #Culture #rockarchitecture #pondydiaries ❤️ #LoveForPics #LoveforTravel #oneplus6 #oneplusphotography📷 #subodhsphotography2019 #Instaclick #clickforlife #Memories #Moments #LoveForPics @photographers.hub.of.india @indiapictures @monochromeindia @photographers.of.india @hindustan.pictures @yourclicks_ @world_click_ @_click_point_ @natgeoyourshot @insta_photography_club @gallery_of_india @_click_point_ @official_photographers_hub @rang_of_photography @worldwidephotographyawards @photographers.of.india @indian.photography @click_india_click @indianshutterbugs @shutterbugsofficial (at Descent of the Ganges) https://www.instagram.com/p/B0ko9rcpWDT/?igshid=16xxq8lla549b

#NYKSavvy by @stories_through_my_lenz ・・・ Konark Temple .. Dedicated to the Hindu sun god Surya, what remains of the temple complex has the appearance of a 100-foot (30 m) high chariot with immense wheels and horses, all carved from stone. Once over 200 feet (61 m) high, much of the temple is now in ruins, in particular the large shikaratower over the sanctuary; at one time this rose much higher than the mandapa that remains. The structures and elements that have survived are famed for their intricate artwork, iconography, and themes, including erotic kamaand mithuna scenes. Also called the Surya Devalaya, it is a classic illustration of the Odisha style of Architecture or Kalinga Architecture . . . . #archeologicalsurveyofindia #architecture #wondersofindia #odishatourism #konark #suntemple #odisha #india #instagram #photooftheday #mobilegraphy #oneplusphotography #snapseededit #travelphotography https://www.instagram.com/p/ByXZ9EblMQa/?igshid=agslw2pe8a30

Taj Mahal new secret comes out, carelessness of ASI
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Consistently a large number of people come to Agra to see Taj Mahal from everywhere throughout the world. Be that as it may, as of late it occurred on Shah Jahan's Birth Anniversary that the visitors were disturbed. For sure, on this day, people came to Taj Mahal to see the Mughal ruler and Mumtaz's tomb in vast numbers. At the point when the people reached the Underground chamber, they saw that the marble on the grave went black and the was dirty. When people complaint to the authorities of the Archaeological Survey of India, they said that they will clean it, yet in the wake of alluding to crafted by repairing the rest, they split away. How about we tell that the stones of the Taj Mahal and the Royal Gates were broken as of late because of a storms. Whose repairing work is as yet going on. As per the reports, in 2016 the Taj Mahal towers had likewise fallen. Around then it was relied upon that because of the impact of cleaning work, this happened. Notwithstanding, the Archaeology Department told the monkeys its reason. A few specialists trust that the iron columns and dividers of the Taj Mahal with the assistance of the iron bar are causing debasement because of pollution. These bars have left the grip with stones. Aides Association President Shamsuddin revealed that the ASI does not take care about the tidiness of the grave chamber. On the off chance that this chamber is constantly opened for the traveller, at that point its support should be possible better. The ASI can likewise charge and on the off chance that it is a dark layer on the tomb, it can be removed just by the treatment of multani sand. Read the full article

Barsur (1/3) . Ganesh temple Barsur is unique in many ways. It is one of very few Dakshin mukhi Ganesh temples in India. It has two idols of Lord Ganesha sitting side by side. The site has 4 other collapsed structures which can only be seen up to the plinth level now. One of the biggest structures in ruins has a Lingam. This is a centrally protected site. . These idols, made of sand stones, are monolithic. The bigger idol is 7 ½ feet high. It is considered to be the third largest statue of Vinayaka in the world. The other idol is smaller and is about 5 ½ feet high. These idols of Ganesha date back to 11th – 12th century. . Both the idols are housed in the newly constructed Mandapam. The mandapam is fenced on all sides by grills for safety. A stone called Kalasha, called Amrita Kalasha, is kept on top of a ruined structure. The Temple structure is completely lost only the idols survived. Remains of pillars, stones and damaged sculptures were found scattered around the temple complex . The city Barsur is named after king Banasur, who was a great devotee of bhagwan Shiv. It is said that daughters of Banasur, Usha and his minister's daughter Chitralekha were best friends. They were devotees of Ganesha. So they asked their father to construct a temple for them. They created this twin Ganesh Temple of Barsur. . #amchodantewada is organising heritage walks through the ancient town of Barsur. Khajuraho Group of Monuments It's surprising to see these humongous monuments made in an era where there were no modern tools available for people to work on the raw materials. And when I say raw materials it's no ordinary raw materials. They are like huge rocks that weighs in tonnes. But even after been so heavy no one can doubt on the workmanship performed on these monuments which any day are fit to categorised as Unesco's World Heritage Sites. Rocks intricately carved in such a way that one would think that these carvings are literally talking to one. Rocks neatly cut, diced and lifted from ground level without the help of cranes or any rock blasting dynamite to hundreds of feet just with the sheer determination of human will power. If one has not visited this place would suggest to go there once the Corona lockdown is over. . . . . No Repost without permission . . . .
