❛ Taking a bite out of you should be fun. ❜ Vampire!Tony flirting heavily with Bruce lmao
@mistyflame1
Even before the gamma, Bruce had never been scared of vampires. A lifetime of believing his blood was cursed based on who he was related to alone had done enough to give Bruce a sense of security.
Of course, none of the vampires he'd ever seen were like Tony.
Tony, who had dark eyes that gazed up at Bruce warmly and with a curl of something else in his gaze that made his stomach dip hotly. It was taking all of Bruce's willpower to try and not blush and look away, though he thinks he failed that first part judging by the faint green glow illuminating Tony's stupidly unfair and handsome smirk.
Stupid gamma, making my stupid eyes glow...
"I...wouldn't reccomend it, Tony," He still tried to push on, swallowing and quickly looking away, "Most people tend to regret such a thing. Not to mention what my blood could do to you..."
Or what I could do...

I don't know about you, but I really hate mentality that says that we don't get good animated projects anymore, especially when these exist.

I commissioned @spagheluu on Twitter (https://twitter.com/spagheluu) to make a CaitVi piece based on Miles and Gwen's skyscraper pic in Across the Spider-Verse. Luckily for me, she's a fan of both Arcane and Spider-verse. What she did was amazing, and I encourage all to check her out!

Very niche but one of my favourite characters are black boys that grow up in a slightly more comfortable environment compared to the world around them but because of factors out of their control their old world ends and they must make their own way in a brave new terrifying place. Through it all they hold on to their ideals and self with straining fingertips until they manage to share their burden with a family they create/find and flourish and thrive. Also they are the heart and moral compass of the group and they fight the oppressive system using slightly illegal methods and they're the outsider and they have a unique worldview because of how they grow up and how they survived and they advocate for the common people and they are the light and soul and and

"What your blood could do to me?" Tony's grin remained sharp yet inviting, "You mean nourish me? Bring me closer to you? Light a fire in my cold metal heart? Oh Bruce, you're right... I don't know what your blood will do to me, but I would love to find out. Especially if it'll make you blush even cuter then you are now," the vampire ends with a wink.
@mistyflame1
Bastard!
If he wasn't flustered enough before, it was nothing compared to now, with more of Bruce's face lighting up in hues of green over the taller man's skin.
"That's-" he sputtered, quickly snapping his head away to shift back from Tony's cruel and flirtatious behaviour, "You don't know that, Tony! For all we know, my blood could kill you just as easily as anyone else. Joking or not, I...I couldn't stand the idea of losing you."
And perhaps, it was easier to focus on Tony's words like he was being serious, rather than the teasing jokes they were. At least Bruce could keep all of this at a distance, where the vampire wouldn't ever be aware of just how hard his chest was thumling away.
Not to mention certain other parts of him were getting rather hard...
"...You don't want to find out, Tony. Not really. As confident as you are, there's some things too much for you."

PARALLELS Billie Eilish - BIRDS OF A FEATHER Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse & Arcane.
The figure of the greater entity. Miguel, with his rigid view of the multiverse, forces Gwen to hide the truth from Miles, breaking their bond. Silco, by taking Powder and turning her into Jinx, emotionally manipulates her to serve his own ends. Both come at critical moments in Gwen and Powder/Jinx’s lives, just when these characters are at their most vulnerable, when their worlds are falling apart, and they are offered “salvation,” but at a price. Creating a painful divide with Ekko, her old friend.
Both elder entities act as symbols of personal trauma, imposing their visions on vulnerable characters and consequently fragmenting their closest relationships. These conflicts reveal a shared tragedy: the impact of outside forces on personal connections, showing how authority figures distort love and loyalty, leading to inevitable separation.

Is there a better source of drama than watching a character be pushed to their breaking point?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like, I joke about it but it really does feel like the secret to make a good story is just "Make a character -> Throw challenge after challenge at them -> See how they react."
There is something...
...just fascinating about knowing how to challenge your character without making it feel like a misery fest and actually making an exploration of how people respond when they reach their limits. How do they reach it? Why do they reach it? Can they make it back? How do they respond? Where do we draw the limit?
This is why the conflict is such a crucial part of a narrative. The walls that you make for your character to face and hopefully overcome is what will test your skill as a writer.
You can't make it too easy because then it becomes anti-climatic, and you can't make it too hard either because then it will feel like you're just torturing your character, and if the breaking point doesn't feel earned it will be like the writer is just trying to force the drama instead of journeying through it.
I've seen a few cases where a character will snap for very mundane reasons and it makes me go "You just wanted to have your cool 'I'm going Super Sayan' moment, you don't really care about this character's emotional struggle." 😑
You gotta find that right balance of what you're gonna throw at your hero and how you're going to explore it for your story.
It's tricky, but if you manage to pull it off, it can lead to some really great storytelling, character study, and theme exploration.
