So it's canon that Silco permits the noise of the last drop so that his workers can have fun. Maofone also stated that Silco is an introvert and hates it, but it is unclear if that is his headcanon or info from the progress day bonus on the DVD. Can anyone who has seen that bonus please confirm?

Viktor's defining s1 moment and why his s2 arc felt... off

My long thoughts on his characterization in s1 vs s2 below the cut. Had to get this out or I'd go crazy.

Rewatched this scene and I realized that we don't really ever see this Viktor again. This moment was so characterizing for him, the little look of "here goes nothing", his stumble, the exhilaration of the sprint, his scream. It's not the expression of joy or relief you might expect from this moment, it's an outburst of frustration and power and raw feeling. It's so human.

The emotions and character motivations backing this moment are very intrinsic. The deep frustration, the hunger for self-actualization. He's driven by the internal urge to test his limits. Viktor is an ambitious person, which we see from his readiness to illegally research Hextech with Jayce. He likes to take risks and push boundaries. The machine herald is a transhumanist, and in this scene, he chooses that. He's doing something dangerous and possibly unethical to himself, in secret and of his own volition, and it feels GOOD. He feels powerful.

Season 2 Viktor is transformed and warped, again and again, never once by his own will. It's Jayce, or it's Singed, or it's the arcane. All extrinsic, none of his transformation is driven by this already established desire to transform himself that we see in this scene. Sure, at one point he gives Singed the go-ahead to make him into the herald, but it sounds super halfhearted and dejected.

All season, his facial expressions are muted. He comes out of the hex-coccoon speaking flatly, can barely handle Jayce's expressions of affection. He then spends his time as a cult leader being all zen and unaffected. And when he finally goes full evil, he talks in this (well, kind of sultry) even way. And he doesn't ever kick or scream or sprint. That last one puts the worst taste in my mouth, actually. His running scene is his defining s1 moment. It really should have been called back to in the second season. But machine herald Viktor doesn't run, he just... floats? It's so disconnected. He's more absent than ever from his physical body- we see platinum blonde astral Viktor essentially piloting different bodies around, but there isn't a moment where he ever inhabits his body in the way he does in this scene.

It's a complicated moment, and you do have to look at it carefully as a disability narrative. But I think the writing is graceful about that***, it doesn't imply that disabilities are shameful or wrong. He's not trying to make himself conform to what society expects, he's all alone in this moment. He's just doing this out of the selfish and understandable desire to feel powerful. As someone with a disability (being vague because this post isn't about me) I found it cathartic.

And it's kind of a bummer that this part of Viktor's character isn't really developed in s2. The agency and the rage isn't there. He's a man of SCIENCE too for gods sake, like why is he sparkly mageguy now. It's not bad exactly, but it is completely different from not only his original lore but also the characterization season 1 had already established.

So tldr I'm drawing him like this forever:

so if you didn't know, when you play spotify from your tv, it automatically displays a background from whatever artist is currently playing, and the one for arcane is currently this:

which is iconic, of course. but last night I was playing some of the tracks from the (instrumental) soundtrack for my dad cause he likes that sort of stuff, so this shot was pulled up on the tv for a good while.

we were playing a card game with it on in the background and at one point I went to turn it up (I think it was during "I promised you") and saw my 3 year old nephew standing right in front of the tv, listening to the music, absolutely transfixed as he stared at the shot of vi and jinx.

his mom asked him if he was good, which snapped him out of it, and he ran over to her and informed her that the tv had a "scary face" on it (which had to be jinx, since vi's face was half covered up by the music queue pop up).

we laughed because he didn't seem too freaked out, just a little frazzled, but I felt bad so I changed the settings so that it wouldn't display the background picture anymore.

but then one song later my nephew requested we put the "scary face" back on, and got a huge smile on his face when I did, in fact, put it back on, which I found endlessly amusing.

long story short, my nephew is obsessed with jinx and the music of arcane. gotta start 'em young, folks.

I still need to watch that ‘She-Ra and the Princesses of Power’ show. I’m just trying to find a way of doing so without supporting Netflix and without illegally downloading or streaming. It’s proving to be a very difficult goal but I would really like to watch it since it’s a WLW enemies or friends-to-lovers love story in a supernatural/fantasy environment setting and format.

Ya’ll know that that’s my jam. Plus it’s animation. I really want to watch Arcane as well but same problem.

a/n; I recently moved <33 so I wanted to write a lil something for vi I can now get back to writing and making silly lil posts because moving is exhausting as fuck lmao

You and Vi have been thinking about moving in together for the longest time, Vi first thought about it when she laid eyes on you when she saw you at the bar

You were with your friends, hanging out, drinks in hand, laughing along with them, she couldn't stop staring at you, how gorgeous you looked that night, how effortlessly beautiful you are to her

She really was a moth that was drawn to the flame

Because randomly, after meeting you, talking to you for a few hours in some bathroom, she was already attached to you, she didn't say it out loud then, it took her ages to actually tell you she has feelings for you

When she did though, it was the best decision she's made, and the one that didn't go to shit

Vi is always by your side, clinging to you, like a lost puppy, it's adorable, you think, as you do the same to her

But when it's just you two, she really let's down her walls and is just completely herself

When there's others around, she puts on that tough act, your very own scary dog privilege

No one can touch you or talk to you in a wrong way, and if someone upsets you, makes you uncomfortable, well they're in for a beating

Vi does not mind getting her knuckles bloody for you

When you brought up the idea of living together in an apartment, even if it wasn't that big and the rent was high, Vi immediately jumped on board

You found it really fucking cute, watching her ramble excitedly about how you two should decorate your room, apartment, she says how you can have your plants in different places, a nice coffee table, a tv, games, you just really liked listening to her talk

Now when you two did the apartment hunting, that was long and slightly boring, having to meet up with strangers to potentially set a deal on your new home, yes, you were both still very excited, and finally, after trying to find the right one, you both found your home

You got what you could afford, and after signing the lease and getting the keys, you were able to officially move in

The moving was stressful, getting everything together, making sure nothing was lost or broken, Vi kept on worrying about her CDs and DVD collection, same with her other collections she has that she didn't want to lose, stuff that she's kept from her childhood, rare items she's found that people have thrown away for some reason and it's actually worth a lot, Vi likes those stuff, she likes finding good things

You like to add to the collections to, when you find things that remind you of Vi

Vi wouldn't show much of her "nerdy" side to anyone else but you had that special spot

There definitely would be Vi making sex jokes, how the new couch would be perfect to try new positions on, or how the bed might not last that long, for that you slapped her playfully on the shoulder, and she laughed hard

She loved teasing you

And will not stop

Vi never really knew she was ever gonna experience this, just that domestic life filled with good moments that will play a huge part in your life for years, and here she was with you, she did not want to let go

Vi was excited about turning this place into a home that shows the both of you, so when they invited people over they would know immediately

She was crazy for you, in the best way possible and you wouldn't have it anyway else
