I tried to fill my weekend with MeetUp events because I am too lazy to come up with places to visit myself.

So today I went to an arcade hall for the first time ever. I left the house at 2.30pm, only to arrive at my destination at 4.20pm. Gotta love public transportation (read: it’s a 20 minute car drive). I miss having my own car. Being here has made it even more clear what a luxury that is.

$10 entrance fee for an entire day of playing all the things in there. I stuck to pinball, Pac-Man and an easy shooting game. It was fun but I wouldn’t go there every week.

Next we went to the “Cow Tipping Creamery”, a place that serves soft ice cream with variuous toppings. Made me think of the “freak shakes” that are getting more popular in Belgium. It was good, though I think in Belgium my chocolate-nutella-brownie-version would have been better because we have better chocolate. Anyway, this was a nice dinner.

🇩🇪 Letzten Montag hat mir meine Freundin, @sandra.nicole93 eins der geilsten Geburtstagsgeschenke zu meinem 30. Bday gemacht. Sie hat mich Nostalgia wiedererleben lassen, mit dem Neo Geo Mini 🕹️ mit Titeln wie SuperSide Kickers ⚽, Metal Slug, Samurai Shodown🎎⚔️ oder The King of Fighters 🥊🥋🤼‍♂️ meinem absoluten Lieblingsfranchise. Einfach in der Arcadehalle 50 Pfennig in den Neo Geo MVS schmeißen und das Urlaubsgeld verblasen für die anfänge meiner Gamingzeit mit 7-8 Jahren, und dieses Gefühl diese Sounds und diese Atmosphäre kann kein AAA und keine 4K Grafik ersetzen. Es ist einfach unbeschreiblich all diese Spiele wieder in der Hand zu halten und so zu spielen wies angedacht war, the oldschool way. Danke mein Schatz . . . 🇺🇸 Last Monday my Girlfriend Sandra made me one of the best Birthday Presents you could ask for for your 30th Birthday. She let me relive Nostalgia Road by buing me a Neo Geo Mini with Titles like Super Side Kickers, Metal slug, Samurai Shofown and my most favorite Franchise the King of Fighters Series. Putting all the Quarters into the Neo Geo MVS Arcade and spending all your Vacation money at 7-8 Years old is a experience that i never want to miss and which got me into Gaming at last, because the Sounds the Graphics and the Atmosphere is something no AAA Title nor 4k Graphics can replace. Its a Feeling of pure joy to relieve the Games from the best in the way they should've be played... just OLDSCHOOL. Today we visited our local shopping mall Arcade that had a double seated VR Simulator. My youngest son, Val, got a double dose of VR fun but he couldn't handle the second more intense ride. Enjoy the clip and hope u all had a great weekend as well. #virtualreality #VR #arcadehall #VRSimulator
