6. Which ship fans are the most annoying?

Mmmm, this is a tough one, not sure if there's a specific ship in Arc V where the most annoying fans are...

No wait, I just remembered, I think any configuration of the dragon boys sameface shipping are the most annoying, at least the one for Yuri and Yugo were, from what I remember, not even necessarily about how much they talked about it, like, I get it, you get a new ship and that's all you wanna talk about.

But their tendency to talk shit about either of the girls, specially Rin, for supposedly getting in the way, was incredibly annoying.

12. The unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them

Honestly, I know it's gonna sound like repeating myself, but despite that he's more appreciated now than her was before, Reiji is still one of my favorites and so underestimated, that people even deny that he's one of the main characters along with Yuya and Yuzu.

People should like him because despite the lack of spotlight caused by his VA's busy schedule, I'm pretty impressed with the story they managed to tell about him, the one of a boy who in appearance, has everything anyone could aspire to be: riches, status, skills, intelligence etc. and a lot of that is inherited from his family, but another thing he inherits is a sense of responsibility, guilt, anger and let's face it, his own flavor of trauma.

There's so much subtext to his story, you could even make argument about his whole deal being about restorative justice rather than the vengeance story many people in the fandom wanted him to be about.

18. It's absolutely criminal that the fandom has been sleeping on...

Because there's so many people that hate the ending, I have seldom seen any fics or artworks that take place after the finale, and there's so much people could write about from that finale, that doesn't have to do with some sort fo "fix fic" about the counterparts or whatever.

They could talk about how people adjust to living in the same dimension, they could talk about how dueling changes now that everyone has access to different types of summoning, they could talk about how the main characters feel about things, how their lives change or don't change idk.

They could talk about how Reira finally gets to grow up in a loving family, about whether or not the bonds of the lancers will endure after the finale.

It's really a shame and waste imo.

The Helena diaz of it all has me fascinated. I’ve said for a long while that Eddie’s real issues are his mommy issues and this episode just cemented for me that we’re gonna explore that and deal with it.

Because it’s Helena who forced Eddie to grow up to fast - because her husband wasn’t around much - so she pushed Eddie into de facto parent and husband role ls - selfishly filling her needs and ignoring the damage it was doing to her son (it is a form of abuse in my book).

Eddie then had the audacity to fall in love with and marry Shannon and get her pregnant. It’s why Helena was always so off with Shannon - she was punishing her. She is also punishing Eddie for all of this and his refusal to return to El Paso only cemented further her bitterness and resentment.

Now she does have Ramon back she doesn’t need Eddie any longer to fill that role so she is still punishing him and part of that is tied into her glee over now getting to parent Christopher - something she has always been intent on doing the doppelgänger just gave her the opportunity- as well as allowing her to further punish her son and his love of Shannon.

Her barbed comments about building a pool were all about showing what she can provide Christopher - how she is parenting him better than Eddie - it’s part of her mind games - making Eddie feel like more of a failure as a parent to his son.

The reality of course is that the reverse is true - Helena’s parenting is all superficial, flash and showy - it isn’t the hard day to day parenting when things get tough and you have to be the bad guy. While Eddie has made mistakes, there is nothing superficial, flash, or showy about his parenting. It’s why bucks comments about Eddie being a great dad are so important.

Eddie feel like a failure right now and that he is entirely to blame for everything. But in reality, while he does bear a bit of the responsibility, the truth of the matter is that he needs to learn and deal with the fact that all of it actually stems from Helena and her abuse of her young son - Shannon never stood a chance just like Eddie never has.

gorgeous, very caring sister, strong duelist, and the only woman to ever make Seto Kaiba squirm

anyways. not only as mentioned above is she the first woman to make kaiba squirm, but she was by all means going to beat him if not for the millennium rod's millennium interference. yami marik admits that she's a strong duelist with a strategy that's been working for literal years-- and given that she's not like, a professional duelist, thats pretty impressive

she also recently got some really cool meta bumps and let me point out that an "ishizu deck" now includes obelisk the tormentor-- which we knew she had prior to giving it to kaiba, but i think it only solidifies my opinion that she very much could wield an Egyptian God Card, an exclusive little club for top tier duelists

as a character she presents herself with an amazing amount of poise and grace, shes compassionate and kind and stays with mai and serenity even though she only just met them. shes struggling through living the past 5 years of her life drowning in guilt for her family's tragedy just because she wanted to make her little brother happy and shadi is a fucking liar. shes foretold her own death and marches towards it grimly but with so much love in her heart. and even then shes 20 years old and holds an important position in the egyptian government that typically requires a doctorate degree AND has been dealing with mariks off-and-on bullshit entirely by her lonesome. she also likes to flex her fortunetelling a little which is awesome i think she should do that more that scene where she tells the guy exactly how the stele is being transported was so everything

speaking of shes got such an attitude. "is it your destiny to waste my time?" iconic. never seen before will never be seen again. watch the duel between her va and joeys its so fucking funny

shes excult. shes doesnt flinch in the face of god nor death. seto kaiba and yami marik respect her. shes so sad and so sweet and battle city couldnt have happened without her.

also her parallels with kaiba are what motivate kaiba to give yugi the card he needed to beat marik.

kaiba, in duelist kingdom, was ready to jump off a ledge if yugi didnt let him through to face pegasus while trying to save mokuba out of sheer desperation to save his little brother. he KNOWS what that dedication feels like and the iron kind of will you need to have to make that kind of gamble. isis is being so fucking legit with what shes saying and he respects that and her judgement enough to change his mind and not only watch the duel, but give yugi a card that eventually helps him win, even if he has no real confidence in the odds. but theres a CHANCE, which is the same thing he taught her when he beat her in a duel. the layers its her faith that moves him to act. which is so crazy

anyway vote isis shes my best friend forever and a real rep for all the 20 year olds who honest to god did not sign up for this bullshit

The entire show would not work if the cast wasn't obsessed with her, and they're all right to stan her, literally gets Sora and Serena to defect from Academia with her sheer charisma, beat Masumi at their gay little rivalry, Yugo spends a few days with her and is ready to die for her, Yuya is simply just the loudest about adoring her And why not? She is so clever and determined, doing the most work out of anyone to figure out the myth plot. Actively trains to keep up with the rest of cast. Even when the universe is conspiring against her and trying to keep her down, she fucking headbutts Roger and tells him off or manifests to help save the world in the ultimate girlboss team-up that was the Arc V finale. Truly any dimension without her is worth upending.

The mysterious magical bracelet that isekai's her to different worlds, the Can-Do attitude, the cool poses (fusion summoning), the ADORABLE character design, AND she was 1/4 of a world-saving hero in the past?? If it weren't for the meddling writers, she would have been the main character

yuzu is everything. literally the plot of arc v hinges on the fact everyone who meets her become just as obsessed with her. and they are totally right to do so

Everything was shaking. It was soft and subtle, save for the pressure placed on his abdomen. Jaune's stomach churned as he felt an ever so familiar stinging climb to his throat. He let out a burp, then found himself being thrown through the air.

"A mighty warrior is not vomit-resistant!"

Jaune shook his head as he regained his bearings, finding himself in a strange world. One completely different from the one he was in before. All around him was gold and white, with clouds rolling in the distance across a field of low-hanging mist. It was beautiful compared to the black void of stars and golden archways that he left behind. That he fell through.

"So, you've finally come to, have you?" Towering across from him was an imposing figure covered in a red cape, gold and black armor adorning his torso and arms while purple pants with red polka-dots covered his lower half. "Greetings, soon-to-be mighty warrior! You've been blessed by the mighty Gilgamesh!" A screech brought his attention to the eagle perched on the stranger's shoulder. "And Enkidu!"

"Wh... Where am I?" Jaune asked. The bridge! The others! He had to-

"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!" Jaune was pushed to the ground by a staff. "And where do you think you're going?"

"I have to find my friends! They're-"

"Already gone." Gilgamesh shook his head. "You were the only one I could save before the realm between realms collapsed."

"Then... Then they... and I..."

"You're alive. They probably are, too." This brought life back into Jaune's eyes. Gilgamesh smiled and lifted his staff from Jaune's chest. "Aha! I knew that would lift your spirits, even if I don't exactly know if they're alive right now!" At this, Jaune slumped. "Hey, hey! Don't give up so soon! I didn't grab you for no reason you know!"

"Then why did you save me?"

"This is a pocket dimension of my own design." He glanced around the area. "It is here that I can train myself, mind, body, and soul, and other parts of me that makes Gilgamesh as mighty as he is!"

"So... you can get back to Remnant?" Jaune brought himself to his feet.

"Indeed!"

"Then I can go back to Remnant!"

"Nope!"

"Huh?"

"I see something in you. A greatness that reminds me of my rival, yet untempered as his became." Gilgamesh thrust a finger out towards Jaune. "I intend to temper that greatness until you're half as great as he is!"

"What?"

"But enough expository banter! Now we fight like men! And ladies! And ladies who dress like men! For Gilgamesh...it is morphing time!"

"What?"

"EXCELSIOR!" Jaune blinked, and the fight was already over. What little was left in his stomach expelled through his mouth as his body was slammed through a thick wall that suddenly appeared behind him. Jaune rolled across the ground until he was finally stopped by Gilgamesh's own foot on his chest. "Hm... It seems I overestimated you." He snapped his fingers. "No matter! Let this be your first lesson of Gilgamesh: Don't get hit!"

Jaune could only groan in pain.
