Second Chance | Arber Xhekaj
• ──────────────♡────────────── •
pairing: arber xhekaj x reader genre: angst, fluff at the end word count: 1.9k warnings: none summary: two months after your break-up, arber comes begging for a second chance
notes: started this a couple of weeks ago and i've finally finished it. the part that took the longest was deciding which hockey player i wanted to use for it.
• ──────────────♡────────────── •
Coming to the game was a bad idea. I knew it from the moment the word yes slipped from my lips, but when Mayah, the bubbly girl that sits next to me in my psychology lecture, asked if I would attend the game between the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs with her after her friend bailed, I couldn't find it in me to turn her down.
In the day leading up to the game, I convinced myself that everything would be fine. That he wouldn't even know I was there. I'm not quite sure if I jinxed myself or if Karma was playing some cruel joke on me, but the second we made it to our seats, right there in the front row behind the Canadiens bench, I decided it was some sick and twisted combination of the two. Regret began to make itself right at home in my head the second we settled into our seats.
As the two teams make their way out onto the ice to head to their respective benches, the crowd goes wild. The arena fills with the sound of thousands of fans cheering and yelling. However, the sound of my own rapidly beating heart floods my eardrums, replacing the loud screams of the fans, as my eyes drift to him and our gazes interlock.
Arber Xhekaj, defenceman for the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League, known to me as my ex-boyfriend, is staring right at me and there was nowhere I can go to hide.
Once upon a time, he was a man that meant everything to me. He was my whole world. We spent a little over two years in a relationship together, happy and in love. Things were perfect between us, until they weren't. What started as small, petty disagreements that happened here and there became full-on arguments that occurred almost every day. While I was putting in the effort to fix things, he was shutting me out. I pinned all of it on stress and the lack of time we got to spend with each other because of his work and my schooling. I tried to wait it out in hopes that things would return to normal, but eventually, I couldn't do it anymore. I didn't see the point in fighting for us if he wasn't willing to do the same. I've spent the past few months trying to move on and forget about him, and I thought I was doing pretty well. That all came crashing down the moment he noticed me. I suddenly became painfully aware that I was still hopelessly in love with him.
The insistent tapping on my arm is what finally pulls me from our impromptu staring contest. When I turn to my left, Mayah is buzzing with excitement.
"Oh my god! Arber Xhekaj is literally staring at you." She squeals. "How are you not freaking out right now? He is six feet and four inches of muscle and manliness. I would climb him like a fucking tree if given the opportunity."
The ending comment causes a pang of jealousy to flare up inside of me. I push it away as quickly as it appears though. I have no right to feel that way anymore, as we are no longer together. It's a feeling that I don't want to feel again, at least not when he is concerned.
Not able to come up with a response, I shrug my shoulders to express a feeling of indifference and turn to face forward as the announcer's voice floods the arena.
• ───────────────────────────── •
Despite the Habs loss to the Maple Leafs, my body is still filled with adrenaline and excitement as I walk out of the arena with Mayah. I had forgotten how much I loved hockey. It was how I met Arber. When things ended between us, I forgot how much I enjoyed watching the game as I tried my hardest to forget him.
"Thanks for coming with me."
"Thanks for inviting me." I respond. "I think that's the most exciting thing I've experienced in a while."
"Anytime." She smiles. "My Uber is here but I'll see you in class on Monday?"
"Yeah, see you Monday." I wave her off as she climbs into the car waiting for her by the curb.
As I wait for my own ride to arrive, I feel my phone buzz in my hand, alerting me of a text.
From Unknown Number: Hey. Can we talk?
Despite there being no name on the contact, I knew exactly who it was from. I'm about to turn my screen off to ignore it when another message comes through.
From Unknown Number: I know you're seeing this.
From Unknown Number: Please
From Unknown Number: I just want to talk.
All it takes is for that fourth and final message to come through for me to make my decision. I type out a short reply just as my Uber arrives.
• ───────────────────────────── •
A couple of hours later, here I am, standing in front of his apartment door. I'm a ball of nerves as I raise my hand to knock on the door. It only takes two knocks for the door to go swinging open and I suddenly find myself standing face-to-face with the man I swore I would never see again.
"Hey." He greets, voice still as deep and mesmerizing as I remember. "Come in."
I give him a tight-lipped smile as I step past him into the apartment I once considered a second home. He closes the door without a word and then leads me into the living room.
"Do you want some water?" He asks as I take a seat on the couch.
"No, thank you." I reply, trying to keep my voice steady in hopes that I can conceal the emotions that are beginning to rise to the surface. "What did you want to talk about? It's late and I can't stay long."
"I-" He begins before quickly cutting himself off, taking a seat on the sofa opposite of me. He sighs heavily and then tries again. "I miss you."
I freeze instantly at the words that leave his mouth. A mixture of shock and anger forms in my chest. "Arber-"
"These past few months have been hell." He continues. "I know you probably don't believe me, but I'm telling the truth."
"I can't do this." My voice wobbles as I speak, tears welling up in my eyes. I stand up, making a move towards the door. "I...I need to leave. I shouldn't have come here."
"Why?" Frustration is evident in his tone as he quickly follows my movements, grasping my hand to stop me from walking any further. "Why can't you just stay and talk to me?"
"Because if I stay, I might do something stupid." I shake my head, trying to clear the racing thoughts that have taken over. "Like..." My voice trails off, not able to finish the sentence as I attempt to get my emotions under control.
"Like what?" He interrupts, inching closer to me.
"Forgive you," I answer, looking him in the eyes for the first time since I arrived. "Because God knows you don't deserve my forgiveness. Not this easily."
"You're right. I don't deserve it," He nods. "But I want it anyway, because I'm selfish and cruel, right?" He punctuates his question with an audible scoff. Throwing my own words from our last argument at me.
"Don't say that like I'm the bad guy." I bite back. "You were the one that pushed me away like I was nothing when I was the only one there for you." My words are bitter. "I've tried so hard to make myself hate you for the way you made me feel. I tried so fucking hard. Instead, I ended up hating myself for failing so miserably. Despite my efforts, I still fucking love you. And it hurts."
My chest is tight and I'm breathing heavily as I fight back the sob that threatens to leave me. His hand grips mine tighter as he opens his mouth to speak.
"I can't tell you how sorry I am. I know I fucked up. Treating you like that and letting you walk out that door were two of the biggest mistakes I've ever made in my life." He confesses. "I want you. No, scratch that. I fucking need you. And I'll spend every day for the rest of our lives making up for what I did if that's what it takes."
"I waited for you." I whisper as the dam behind my eyes finally breaks, tears cascading down my cheeks. "For two months, I waited for something to change. For you to change."
"I know." His hands lift to caress my face, thumbs gently brushing away my tears. "And I promise I'll never make you feel like that again. I won't take your love for granted ever again."
"I thought you were falling out of love with me and I couldn't take it anymore."
"Never did I stop loving you." He shook his head, a deep frown etched on his face.
"Then what happened?"
"I was scared. You were getting busier with school and I was beginning to travel more. The longer we spent apart the more I began to question the stability of our relationship. I was afraid that, because of my busy schedule and how often I have to travel for the majority of the year, I wouldn't be able to be the type of boyfriend that you need. That you deserve. I convinced myself that it was only a matter of time before you realized that and as a result, I subconsciously began to push you away."
"You could have just talked to me." I sigh. "We could have figured it out."
"I know." He nods. "I wish I could take it back. I really do. If you would just give me a second chance, I'll do better."
"Promise?"
"Yes. I promise."
"Okay."
"Okay?"
"I'll give you another chance, but if you fuck it up, we're over for good."
"I won't." He shakes his head, hands moving to my waist to pull me into him. "You have my word."
"Good." I smile softly, laying my head on his chest.
The room falls silent as we stand in each other's embrace, taking in the moment. After a few minutes, it's Arber that makes the first move to separate us, but only enough to be able to see my face. He stares silently, lips parted as if he wants to say something.
"What?" I question, noticing his hesitation.
"Can I kiss you?" His right hand moves up to rest on my cheek, angling my head up a little more. It takes less than a second for me to respond.
"Please do."
His lips brush mine softly at first, a brief peck to test the waters. He pulls back slightly to examine my face. I'm not quite sure what he is looking for, but whatever he does or doesn't find has him leaning back in. This kiss is deeper, hungrier, more desperate. We stay like this for a while. Melting into each other. Once the lack of oxygen becomes too much, we finally part. Our foreheads remain pressed together, our eyes still closed as we try to catch our breaths.
"I really fucking missed you." He whispers, our lips brushing with every word he speaks.
"I missed you too." I smile against his lips.
"Stay."
"What?" I pull back slightly and open my eyes to look at him.
"Stay." He repeats. "Stay the night with me. It's late anyways. I don't want you going back on your own. So stay."
I take a few seconds to think it over before I respond, nodding my head. "Okay."
Smiling, he steps out of our embrace and intertwines his fingers with mine, pulling me behind him as he begins to make his way down the familiar path to his bedroom.

our house - arber xhekaj
notes: i hope you guys like this, third fic for 'it's the most wonderful time of the year', a bit of domesticy fluff for this one :))
likes are good, reblogs are better <3
part of naqia's end of the year celly!
gif not mine
"we got the gingerbread houses!" arber announced, ushering your daughter inside before closing the door.
hana, your daughter, came stumbling in the kitchen, holding a gingerbread box that was much too big for her. your husband followed close behind, just in case she dropped it.
"is the icing ready already?" she asked, putting the gingerbread house box on the edge of the counter. arber laughed, picking her up a bit to help her place it more securely.
"it's ready!" arian, your son, said proudly to his little sister. "mommy and i made so many colours, look daddy!"
"oh wow," arber grinned at the different colours you and arian had been mixing up while he went shopping with hana. he ruffled arian's hair, "good job. this is gonna be the best gingerbread house ever!"
"i wanna see too!" hana raised her hands for arber to lift her. "show me, please."
arber lifted her up, showing her the reds, and blues, and pinks, and yellows you and arian had mixed up.
"woww," she muttered. "can i eat it?"
"no, hana," arian shook his head, sounding like a tired old man. "we need to decorate the house first."
"i can eat it after?"
"you can eat it after," he agreed.
you and arber shared a grin at their interaction. you had two kids and they were basically polar opposites. arian was the calmest child you'd ever met, absolutely content with whatever you gave him. meanwhile hana needed to cause chaos wherever she stepped.
"okay, okay, now that we have everything, we can start building," you decided.
you all grabbed the icing, candies, and gingerbread house, making your way to the living room. you'd set up an old tarp on the carpet just in case anything spilled (which was basically a certain with hana involved).
"for you, my love," arber held out the gingerbread box. "you may do the honours."
you laughed, ripping open the box as arber and your kids cheered. you broke apart the pieces, handing everyone a piece of the wall. putting the roof on the side, you turned to your piece of the gingerbread house.
hana immediately grabbed the yellow frosting and began spreading it all over the wall she had gotten.
"hana, it's going to make it heavy. the wall won't -- never mind," arian decided. "do whatever you want."
"okay," hana shrugged, continuing to spread the icing all over her gingerbread piece.
across from her, arian pipes a small amount of blue around the edges, drawing designs on it. across from you, arber drew a heart on his wall, with both of your initials inside, and hana and arian's right outside.
"you're such a dweeb," you rolled your eyes, laughing at his grin.
the four of you watched the home alone movies as you decorated your gingerbread pieces, laughing at each other's pieces and trying to hide your pieces from the others.
"i'm done," arian smiled, holding out his piece.
the rest of you brought your own pieces out, getting ready to build the actual house.
"oh no, it's falling!" hana cried, pointing at her piece.
she's smothered so much icing on it that it wouldn't stay up, no matter how much arber tried to get it stay.
"hold up, let me do it," you said, playing around with the icing. you allowed her piece to lean on the other walls. after a few minutes, you stepped back, grinning. "ta-da!"
"yay!" hana clapped.
arian laughed at her reaction, happy to see the gingerbread house standing.
"i don't know how you do it," arber muttered to himself, staring at you in awe.
"do what?" you asked.
"make me fall in love with you a little more," he answered simply.
you blushed, shoving him away as he laughed and pulled you close. you gave in, leaning against his chest as he pressed a kiss to your forehead.
"okay, stop being mushy guys," hana turned back to the gingerbread house. "it's time to make the roof."
you and arber exchanged a look, bursting into laughter.
"of course, princess," arber grinned at her. "let's make the roof of our house together."

I missed you - Arber Xhekaj
a’s notes: hello, my loves! During my break I came up with this cute little idea and knew I needed to write it. This is my first time writing for Arber … hope you guys like it<3
warnings: mentions long distance, crying, fluff, and not proofread
you gradually open your eyes, noticing the clock on your bedside table reads 5:52 am. You stretch and rub your eyes for a few seconds to clear the sleep from them. The sun's warm rays stream in through the clear curtains, casting a bright and beautiful golden glow across the room. You turn your head to the right and notice the empty space beside you where Arber usually sleeps. You reach out to touch his side, but feel nothing but cold sheets. A pout forms on your face as you miss the warmth and comfort he usually radiates.
As you lay in bed, you heard the bathroom door creak open and immediately lifted your head off the pillow. You saw your boyfriend walk out with a big smile on his face, and your heart swelled with warmth and love. He looked so cute in the matching pajamas you had purchased for him as a welcome home gift, along with a beautiful bouquet of flowers that you had placed on the bedside table last night. The reaction you got from him was so precious and heartwarming, you knew you had made the right choice in surprising him. He couldn't believe you had gotten him flowers, and his shock may have even brought a few tears to his eyes. You felt overjoyed seeing him so happy, and you knew that this was the beginning of a beautiful day.
you rose up to the sound of Arber’s voice. "Morning, gorgeous. Did you sleep well?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with love and affection. You couldn't help but smile as you jumped up into his arms, feeling the warmth of his embrace. Arber let out a laugh, making your stomach erupt with butterflies.
Wrapping your legs around his waist and your arms around his neck, you played with the ends of his hair, tucking it behind his ear. Looking down at him, you nodded your head and said, "Good morning, handsome. I missed you."
He placed his face in the crook of your neck and gently kissed the side of your neck. Tightening his grip around your waist, he brought you in closer, "I missed you more. So happy to be home."
You couldn't help but smirk at him and ask, "Is that why you're up so early? Missed me that much, huh?" Watching his cheeks heat up with embarrassment, you brought your hands to caress his cheeks "You're so cute."
You both stood there admiring and holding each other for a while. The long distance had been hard, but when you got to see each other, it was worth it. He whispered, "I wanted to be up early to spend more time with you," as he held the necklace that hung beautifully on your chest between his fingers to calm himself down.
"It was so hard not having you by my side. Five months of not seeing your beautiful face beside me when I woke up almost killed me. I missed coming home to you after games, spending my off days with you, or even seeing the messes you would leave around the apartment. I missed it all, but most importantly, your hugs and kisses," he said, his eyes filling with tears.
You wiped some of the tears that had fallen down from his eyes and held him close. He hid his face in your neck while you rubbed his back, feeling grateful to be in each other's arms once again.
“I know, baby but I’m here now and don’t plan on leaving any time soon” you said. It made Arber look at you with a confused expression. That quickly went away when he realized what you were saying.
With a huge smile on his face, he lifted you up off the ground and twirled you around in circles, feeling an overwhelming sense of joy and relief. After spending countless months apart in a long-distance relationship, the love of his life was finally going to move in with him. He could hardly contain his excitement as he thought about all the memories they would create together in their new home. No more lonely nights or missed opportunities for quality time. It was finally time to start their lives together, side by side, in a place they could call their own.
As you stood there with tears streaming down your face, he reached out and gently held your face in his hands. With a tender touch, he wiped the tears away and leaned in to plant a loving kiss on your forehead. It was as if he wanted to assure you that everything was going to be alright. Arber pulled back, looking into your eyes and whispered, "This is the best day of my life." His words were soft and full of emotion, and they filled you with a sense of warmth and comfort. In that moment, you knew that you were exactly where you were meant to be.

Love so sweet
Chapter 2
Warnings: Language, Angst, implied sex.
Chapter 2! Hopefully you guys like this as much as Chapter 1🤍
“Excuse me could you like get out of my way?”
Tabitha whipped around ready to tweak out on someone when she came face to face with Cole, and broke out in a smile instead. She let out a breath of relief, both because she was bursting with happier see him, and because it meant she wouldn’t have to cause a scene in public. Breakups put her in a foul mood and that usually meant some poor soul suffered because of it.
“Hi stranger.” She said accepting his hug. He gave her a squeeze and pulled back to look at her, hands still braced on her arms.
“How are you? I heard you guys broke up…again.” He said with a chuckle
She nodded, hands coming up to hold him by the elbows “What else is new right?”
“True.” He sighed and let go of her, and walking along side her as she continued to shop “You doing okay? We haven’t seen you in a bit.”
It was true. The last week or so had been especially tumultuous between she and Arber, and seeing them unfortunately hadn’t been in the cards. That was one of the worst parts of the constant fighting if she was being honest. She loved his teammates and his friends and most of all his family, but they were exactly that. His teammates, his friends, his family. Not hers. And if they really did ever break up for good she would have to expect to lose them as a part of her life.
But for now, she was fairly certain this was another temporary one.
At least she hoped. This breakup had been rough on both of them and she’d said a lot of things she didn’t mean, and thrown some accusations she couldn’t take back. She hoped Arber knew that she didn’t actually mean them, and it was something she said while in a heightened state, but it wasn’t an excuse. Her emotions felt out of control sometimes and she often said or did things she didn’t mean. At some point she had to pull herself together and start looking at things more level headed.
Maybe she needed therapy.
She nodded and tossed something in her cart “I’m okay I guess. Just been a rough week.”
“Tell me about it. He’s been a mess.”
She frowned “What’s that mean?”
“He just hasn’t been himself. Like more than normal. I hate when you guys fight.” He said frowning at her.
She sighed and nodded “That makes two of us.”
He picked something off a shelf and chucked it in her cart with a shrug “We may as well shop together. Let me tell you about your boyfriend.”
“He’s not my boyfriend anymore. Fuck this” she said air quoting, as Cole rolled his eyes and made a face “His words not mine.” She finished with a shrug.
“I know they are but you know that’s not for real right? I don’t get what you guys even fight about.”
“Everything basically anymore.” She said offhandedly “Something new to fight about everyday. This one was my fault though.”
“What happened anyways?”
“I-“ she said with a pause “Someone told me that Arber got some girls number when you guys went out the other night when I was working. I just kinda freaked out and here we are.”
“I see. He didn’t, just by the way. I’d tell you if he did.”
“I know that now. Unfortunately I didn’t ask before I yelled at him. Something I’ll have to remember for next time. Oops.” She felt a little embarrassed and glanced at Cole but he wasn’t judging her.
“I get it. But I can promise you he wouldn’t do that. You know that right? Arbers not like that.”
She nodded as they turned the aisle “I do but for some reason I keep doubting it. Maybe I’m crazy. Or maybe I’m just a bitch.” She said with a shrug.
“Nooooo your not.” Cole said with a small smile “I can see your hurting, and it’s any consolation he’s not doing any better. Seems sad.”
“It should make me feel better, but I don’t want him to be sad over me. I just want things to get better.”
Cole smiled a little and bumped her shoulder “And that’s why your so great. You gotta fix things though. Because he’s on the verge of committing a crime out on the ice.”
She laughed and rolled her eyes “He’s always on the verge of committing a crime on the ice. It’s adorable.” She said with a dreamy smile and then coughed to cover it up.
“See?” He said turning to her with a grin “That’s why you guys are perfect for eachother. Kirby asked him where you’ve been the other day and I thought he was going to punch him.”
“He would never punch Kirby.”
“Maybe not but he wanted to. You miss him?”
“Of course I miss him Cole. But if he wants to break up then it is what it is. I can’t make him change his mind. It’s not that simple.”
Cole was shaking his head “You could. All you have to do is call him.”
He was right. It didn’t take a lot to get Arber back and vice versa. Usually just a text or a phone call or even just showing up at his apartment did the job but she was always afraid to reach out just in case it was really over. She couldn’t take it if he told her it was the end, so she usually let him reach out unless she was feeling particularly brave.
As they made their way to checkout Cole updated her on the rest of the guys and how they were doing “They miss you. We went out the other day and they were hoping you’d come out with him. We didn’t know you guys were fighting though.”
“I heard. He was at my house.”
“I knew it!” He said pointing at her “ I knew he was there. He only cancels plans when he’s with you, and he hates going out. He said going out with you gives him anxiety.”
Tabitha chuckled “Yeah talk about him committing a crime.”
They chatted while they checked out and made their way out to the car.
He helped her load her stuff and turned to her, shutting her trunk.
“It was so good to see you.” Cole said as he hugged her, eyes closing and gave her an extra squeeze “Don’t be a stranger okay? Were your friends too.”
She felt her eyes start to water and blinked them away with a nod “I know. I will. Promise.”
He nodded and turned away but paused and glanced over his shoulder “I’ll tell him you said hello. Okay?”
She nodded, unable to speak and gave him a wave and slipped into her car just as tears rolled down her cheeks.
She hated this. She sniffled in the front seat and watched Cole back out and leave the lot as she collected herself. Her route back home took her directly past Arber’s apartment building, and she purposely looked straight ahead. She was always afraid during a breakup that she would drive by and see him with another girl, which was silly because she knew he was most likely with the guys or sulking in the living room.
She let out a breath she didn’t know she’d been holding in as she made it through the light and the building disappeared from her view.
***********
“I saw Tabitha at the grocery store.” Cole said off handedly in the dressing room.
Arber paused and half turned “Yeah? And how was that.”
“She said she was so relieved you guys broke up because she’s always wanted to date me.”
“Haaaaaa.” He said making a face “Very funny.”
“I thought so. She misses you.” He said quietly.
Arber nodded “I know. She okay?”
He nodded “She says she is. She told me to tell you hello.”
He sighed and ran a hand over his face and shook his head “Did she say anything else?”
“Like what? Like she wants you to go to her apartment after practice and get her back?”
He rolled his eyes as Cole continued “If I say yes will you do it?”
“It’s not that simple.”
Cole cracked a smile and let out a huff “Funny she said the same thing. You two are wild man. If you can sit there and tell me that you don’t miss her then I’ll shutup.”
Arber shrugged “Of course I miss her. I don’t like fighting with her.”
“Then get it together and go fix it you idiot.”
“Don’t call me an idiot-“
“Then don’t act like one.” Cole said with a shrug “You miss her, go get her back. You know how easy it is.”
“What’s easy?” Slaf said sitting down next to him.
“Arber and Tabitha broke up.” Cole said eyeing him with a small smirk “But he’s going to go get her back right?”
“Again?” Kirby asked pulling off his helmet off “Why now?”
“Maybe you guys should just break up for good.” Nick said.
Kirby, who was closest, slapped his helmet out of his hand “Take that back. He can’t break up with Tabitha. We like her too much.”
“I agree, but this fighting can’t be healthy.”
Arber didn’t say anything while he listened to the the guys talk about him like he wasn’t there.
He hadn’t expected his teammates to take to Tabitha the way they did, and almost instantly. In a very short time they were always bugging him about bringing her along when he went places with them. She was so good with them, and so easy to talk to. They were a good group, and always respectful, but they could be silly and joke with Tabitha and she gave it right back. She could be one of the guys, and in the next minute be the picture of femininity. They loved her, and she loved them and the constant fighting put a wedge between that each time. It made him feel bad.
He kept most of the fighting and breakups to himself when it came to his parents. They had thankfully always been on good terms when they came to visit or when she came to visit and they had fallen in love with her maybe faster than he had. They raved about her night and day to anyone who would stand still long enough, always requesting she be available when they FaceTimed him. She had fit so seamlessly into his life it felt strange when she wasn’t there.
He hated it.
He didn’t say much for the rest of practice and as he left. He heard the guys calling him but he just wanted to go home and pity himself so he waved them off and made his way home.
He thought back to the first time he ever saw her.
The bar was loud and packed and all he wanted to do was go home.
He was tired, his knuckles hurt from the fight he’d been in, and the headache was unlike any other he’d experienced, but he’d been roped into coming out with them to celebrate the win. He was thinking about the best way to plan his exit when he glanced up to find a girl staring at him from across the bar.
He was fairly sure someone was talking to him but heard nothing.
She was beautiful, the prettiest girl he’d ever seen without question, but there was something else about her. Whatever it was, it had him up and out of his chair and making his way across the bar. The closer he got, the more he wished he hadn’t taken a single step but it was too late to back out now. If there was one thing Arber was not, it was easily intimidated, and yet here he was with sweaty hands and something that could only be described as nerves settling in his stomach.
And then she smiled at him.
“Hi.” She said leaning forward on the bar, as he came to stop next to her.
“Hi.”
“I’m Tabitha.” She extended a hand and grasped his, fingers stroking against his in the most pleasurable way.
“I’m Arber.”
“Arber? That’s not a name you hear everyday.”
He chuckled and leaned against the bar top, feeling a little more at ease “Tell me about it. You should hear my last name.”
She smiled “Tell me.”
But he shook his head “No. I’m gonna write it down and I want you to say it.”
He wrote his last name down on a napkin and slid it over to her so she could see it.
“Xhekaj?” She asked glancing at him.
His mouth fell open “You can pronounce that?”
“Yeah? It’s Albanian right?”
“Arbs what-Oh hi?” Cole was standing behind him and smiled at her but then turned back to Arber “Why are you writing your last name?”
“He didn’t think I’d be able to pronounce it.”
Arber turned and looked at him “She said it right on the first try.”
Cole’s mouth fell open “No shit? Are you Albanian?”
“No.” She said with a small laugh and a headshake “I just happen to watch a lot of Habs games at work.”
“Work” ended up being a sports bar and restaurant downtown, and Tabitha tore up his world like wildfire from that point on. Before he knew it she had poured like water into every facet of his life. Her love was overwhelming and smothering sometimes and in the very early months of their relationship he was so infatuated with her he didn’t know his left from his right. He’d felt feelings for girls before but never like this. Tabitha had become everything to him in a very short amount of time, and when his feelings that normally died down a bit didn’t change for her after 3 months he knew she was the one.
And everyone else knew it too, except maybe Tabitha herself.
Even with the way things were, if he could go back to that night he would still get up and approach her every single time. She had made his life better even with the fighting.
As a last resort he called his mom. She was the best listener he knew. She was privy to some of the fighting but not all of it. She had always tried to help him see things from Tabitha’s perspective as well as his own, and that helped sometimes. He never realized how things were for her until someone else told him and that made him feel stupid. He’d just assumed she was as blissfully happy all the time as he was and never thought for a minute that she could be struggling with outside influences polluting her brain. He felt like an ass and had promptly driven to her apartment with flowers, apologized and never forgot what his mom had said after that. The conversation was much the same this time. His mom agreed, that she hadn’t raised a cheater because of she had he wouldn’t be alive, but that you start to believe things when you hear them enough times. It made sense to him, but she also reinforced that he didn’t do anything wrong this time, which he knew of course and Tabitha probably did too. Things had clearly gotten lost in translation and out of hand. But she said it could be fixed. They talked for a while until she hung up, encouraging him to go talk to her and make things right.
He huffed and checked the time, before heaving himself up and grabbing his keys.
Arber had a strict rule of never listening to any of his teammates and their dumb ideas, but hearing his mom say it was more convincing which is how he found himself a short while later following Cole’s suggestion as he made his way down Tabitha’s street. Her porch light was on and her car was parked out front. He hadn’t expected her to be anywhere else, and even though he felt a little bad but he was also relieved to find that she was home. Though he’d said last night he could go out and pick up some girl, which he could, it would be a lot easier for her to do it. And if that happened, then he’d have to have to hurt someone. It was a lose lose.
He knocked three times and leaned on the doorframe with a small sigh, but also some relief. This was usually when things got better rather than worse, and he was glad that it was heading in that direction, hopeful she was in a good mood on the other side of the door. He could hear her shuffling around, and she looked surprised when she appeared and found him standing there. But she smiled apprehensively “Hi.”
“Hey.”
“What are you doing here?”
He shrugged and smiled at her “Just thought maybe I wanted to see you is all.”
Her cheeks turned pink and she took a step back allowing him to walk past her inside. He sat on the sofa and looked at her expectantly as she hovered between the couch and the door.
“Come sit.” He said patting the spot next to him. When she did he reached forward and gripped her hand.
“Tabitha. Can we stop this please.”
She nodded and gave his hand a squeeze “I hate fighting with you Arber. It hurts more every time.”
“Then let’s just stop fighting. We fight over the dumbest stuff. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I am not cheating on you. I have no intentions of cheating, it never even crossed my mind. I love you okay?”
She nodded as he continued “You've got to stop listening to other people and just ask me. Whoever is telling you that stuff is full of shit. Do you think if I was cheating on you my teammates would want me to be bringing you around all the time?”
She shrugged and looked at her lap “No.” she said quietly.
“And do you think that I would even be with you if I was out fucking around. I would just be out doing that while I was single. Come on. You know me better than that.”
She nodded “I know. I just feel so anxious all the time.”
“About?” He said leaning forward.
“That you might find someone better.”
“No.” He said with a smile and a shake of his head “I couldn’t even if I wanted to, which I don’t. I’ve told you this so many times and it hurts my feelings sometimes that you don’t believe me. I’m not trying to gaslight you, but I try so hard and I feel like it’s all pointless. I don’t know what else I can do for you Tabitha but if there’s something, tell me what it is and I’ll do it.”
Her lip trembled and she squeezed his hand “I love you.”
“I love you too. Come here.” He patted his knee and waited till she was situated before he rested a large hand on her knee “I’m not saying we’re never going to fight because we will. But in situations like this can you promise to at least talk to me before you rip my head off? If something bothering you just tell me what it is. Okay?”
She sniffled and nodded “Okay. I promise.” She leaned a head on his shoulder.
“Do you feel better? Not mad at me anymore?”
“I feel better.”
“Cuz if your still mad and you wanna take it out on me a little I’m game.”
She looked up and snorted out a laugh “I don’t wanna hurt you or anything.”
He held up a fist and smiled “You know I can take a punch.”
She rolled her eyes and wiped away the mascara from under them as he leaned forward and kissed her cheek “If I give you-“ he glanced at the clock “A half hour, think you can be ready to go out to dinner?”
She shrugged “Sure. I just have to fix my face a little.”
“Makeup.” He corrected “There’s nothing wrong with your face.”
“Okay I have to fix my makeup and change. Unless it’s acceptable to wear pajamas whenever it is we’re going.”
“It is not. You will also not be wearing those pajamas when we return home.”
************
Arber felt so much better in the following days, and it was reflected to everyone he knew. He was a little lighter, more talkative and smiled wider which is how the guys knew things were back to normal.
“So things are good again?” Slaf asked as they watched drills during practice.
“Yeah. Much better.”
“Good. Stop fighting. It’s dumb and you’re no fun when your fighting with her.”
“You definitely should fight with her when we play rivalry teams though. Just sayin.” Kirby said from his left.
“No I don’t think that I should. I’m not sure anyone’s ever been arrested for committing crimes on the ice and I don’t want to be the first. Imagine having to explain that to my mom.”
“Tabitha would bail your dumbass out.” Slaf said with a chuckle.
“No she wouldn’t. She’d commit another crime against whoever he committed one against. And then we’d have to alternate weekend visits. Like children of divorce.”
Arber chuckled “Well don’t worry. No divorce here. At least not today.”
*************
“So. Back with…him I see?” Jessica asked cooley, eyeing Tabitha over the table.
She rolled her eyes “Yes. I don’t want to hear it.”
“I wasn’t going to say-“
“You were. You always have something to say about me and Arber and I’ve heard it all before. So save your breath.”
“You know Tabitha. We’re just looking out for you.”
At first she’d really believed it. She really felt like her friends wanted her to be done with a ther because it was in her best interests. But now she felt like they nagged her about him all the time and it was getting real old real fast.
It was constant.
If they were complaining about them together, they were complaining about Arber himself and if they weren’t doing that they were fueling her paranoia about the rumors by adding to them. I heard Arber did this, I heard Arber did that blah blah blah. Tabitha was over it in a big way. She found herself hanging out with them less and less. They had noticed this of course and then claimed that he was “isolating” her because he was this big evil monster that had taken over her life and her happiness. But really it was just because they were awful. She could understand them not liking Arber at first. That first breakup followed a huge blowup of epic proportions that made Tabitha ugly cry for days. Understandable how they would be weary of him after that, and he agreed they had every right to feel that way. But it had been over a year now and they hadn’t even thought about giving him another chance. If they had, they would see that Tabitha was at fault for half of not more of their breakups and arguments. She’d tried her best to rehab his image, and he had at first too but finally he said he wasn’t going to try and make peace with people who didn’t want to make peace.
It just wouldn’t be worth it.
She’d even arranged “accidental” encounters put at the bar and still no such luck. They avoided Arber like the plague and he did the same to them. So Tabitha was left somewhere in the middle. It was funny though, that her friends couldn’t stop saying terrible things about Arber and he never brought them up unless she talked about them. Sometimes made her wonder who was really the terrible one in her life.
They didn’t say much else, and neither did Tabitha but she excused herself earlier than she needed to, so she could pick up Arber while her car was in The shop getting new tires.
She sat in the parking spot drinking her nails on the steering wheel, and ran her fingers over the cool leather with a small sigh.
She felt so much better now that things with Arber had settled and her stupid friends had ruined it. She always felt, no matter how things were with him, that the disappointment of her friends ruined every good patch. They made her feel so shitty about her relationship with him, even when things were fine. Their tone was always dripping in disappointment when they talked about him which was often.
It was mentally exhausting having to play middle man between them.
She did know however she felt much more mentally exhausted having to shield herself from their disappointment than it was to be with Arber.
She shook her head and looked at the clock. Arber would be home in 30 minutes.
That would make everything better.

mine all mine
florian xhekaj x fem! reader
warnings: light cursing and pure, straight up FLUFF
masterlist
-
you laid on the couch of the xhekaj house, hanging out with your boyfriend’s siblings, arber included.
“you mother fucker.” his older sister yells smacking arber on the arm for knocking her off the track as they raced head to head on mariokart, you trailing behind in 6th place.
“whatever it takes to win dom.” he laughs and continues eventually winning the race.
“how are you good when you never even play?” sophia asks after she finishes in 8th.
“i’m just cool i guess.” he shrugs setting the controller down. the bond you’d grown with florian’s sibling was extremely strong. they welcomed you with open arms the moment you stepped in their door for the first time. you looked at the time, seeing that florian would be home soon after a long practice.
“one more round? parents are at work until late.” arber asks.
“yeah let’s do it.” you reply, hoping to maybe do better this time, which you did, finishing in 3rd. once your final race was over you hear the lock on the front door turn and florian walks in the door.
“soph, dom you guys wanna go to dinner?” arber asks.
“yeah sure. what about flo and y/n?” dom replies.
“well he just came back so i just assumed he wouldn’t wanna go.”
“which you would be correct.” florian laughs returning from setting his bag down in his room and plopping down on the couch close to you.
“damn why?” sophia asks.
“long practice, i just wanna be at home.” he says putting his feet up on the coffee table.
“we’ll get you guys take out?”
“perfect, just call us when you need our order.” you smile leaning back in the corner of the couch, putting your feet up toward florian. his siblings putting on their shoes and walking closer to the door before he gets up to lock the door behind them.
“see you kids later. and flo use-“ arber starts.
“goodbye.” florian says pushing them out the door and shutting it quickly, face flushed red with embarrassment.
“awe, are you embarrassed?” you giggle as he walks back over to the couch.
“no i’m not.” he says, clearly lying out of his ass, and with his hands he separates your legs, laying between them with his head placed gently on your stomach.
“oh baby.” you coo, your hand running lightly through his dirty blonde hair, massaging his scalp.
“missed you.” he mumbles.
“you were only gone a few hours honey.” you giggle and you were met with silence as the boy placed his arms under your back, hugging onto you firmly. he always put on a tough guy front in front of his friends and his family but when the two of you were alone he loved to be babied more than anything in the world.
“i love it when it’s just me and you.” he says, moving his head to look up at you.
“why?” you say brushing hair out of his face.
“because.”
“flo that’s not a reason.” you laugh.
“i just love you, that’s all.” he says softly looking at you with his loving blue eyes.
“i love you too baby.” you smile. he pushes himself up with his arms to press a sweet kiss to your lips before repositioning himself and placing his head on your chest, wrapping his arms back around you. your ran your fingernails up and down his back soothingly, enjoying the moments of quietness with no one around.
“i never want them to come back. i could die happy right here.” he says softly, enjoying the back scratch.
“well once you play with the habs you can get your own place.” you say planting an unknown seed in his mind.
“what about our own place? like you come live with me.” he suggests.
“we’ll have to see but i’m sure we can work that out.” you smile at the idea of it. living alone with florian was, what you considered and fantasy, but the fact that it could happen brought you enough peace.
“i can talk to your parents.” he says resting his chin on your sternum.
“baby let’s not worry about it just yet okay? it’ll all work out.” you smile.
“you’re right. the idea just makes me so excited for my future with you.” he says causing your heart to flutter. you had never met a sweeter boy in your life.
“i’m excited too. everyday is exciting with you.” you say locking eyes with the boy.
“my family loves you, you know? mom is always asking about you when you’re not here.”
“does she really?”
“yes, i’d say almost half the times i ask you to come over is her telling me to ask you.” he laughs.
“well she’s awesome so that makes me happy.”
“good, because you make me the happiest and they see it and in return love you like family.”
“boy you better stop before i start crying.” you giggle as he presses a light kiss to your neck before laying his head back down.
“have you thought about what food you want before they call us?” you ask interrupting the silence that took over.
“to be honest no. just order something and i’ll get the same thing.” he says.
“okay easy enough.”you giggle as your hand finds its way back into his soft locks.

one last kiss | arber xhekaj
summary: your boyfriend wants one last kiss before heading out for the day
request: yes / no
warnings: tooth rotting fluff
a/n: i totally think that, even though he's one of the league's tougher guys/more intimidating guys, he's such a softie.
word count: 0.5k
When I wake up, I am trapped beneath the warm embrace of my boyfriend. His bare chest is pressed against my similar back, with his chin resting in the nook of my chin and shoulder. Arber’s arm is hooked under mine which is keeping me where I am. I know he’s got morning skate soon, but I don’t want this precious moment to end, so I stay still.
I feel him stir, his arm pulling me closer, his lip pressing soft kisses to my shoulder. “Good morning.” His raspy morning voice speaks, sending chills up my spine.
“Morning, my love,” I reply. I wriggle underneath his grasp, flipping myself around to face him. “You have morning skate soon.”
He groans. “I don’t want to go.”
“You don’t mean that.” I giggle.
“What if I did? What if all I wanted to do for the rest of my life was to just lie here with you?” he said.
“And never play hockey again?” I remind him.
“You’d be worth it.” He says, pressing a soft kiss to my lips.
“You are so dramatic.” I say when we separate. “Come on, we can get ready together.”
We slip out of bed and change into our undergarments. We spend the morning completing each other's routines together. We brush our teeth side by side, then help one another pick out each other's outfits. We play music aloud while I do my makeup and Arber packs together his bag.
“Working on the night shift, baby. Dying for your touch like crazy. Racking up the overtime hours, loving how we're working on the night shift, baby.” Arber sings alongside John Pardi who’s playing through my phone.
I giggle as he comes up behind me, grabbing my hips and swaying them to the music, continuing to sing to the music. “You’re so pretty.” He mumbles into my neck, placing soft kisses up to my jaw.
"You're prettier." I reply. I flip around to face him, throwing my arms around his neck, and pulling him in to kiss me.
After I finish my makeup, we eat breakfast, before it’s finally time for Arber to head over to Brossard for practice.
“Alright have fun today, I’ll see you after the game tonight.” I say, pressing a kiss to his lips.
When I go to break apart, he doesn’t let me, instead keeping his grip firm on my hips. We keep kissing for a bit before I have to force us apart. “Alright you actually have to go now, or else you’re gonna be late.” I say.
“Fine.” Arber groans, grabbing his bag and heading out the door.
He barely gets one foot out before turning back to me. “I know I need to go, but one more kiss?” He asks.
I roll my eyes at Arber, coming to him and softly kissing him. I purposely drag out the kiss, letting him savour it a little longer.
“Alright, now get going.” I say, physically pushing him out the door.
“I love you, see you tonight.” He calls back to me.
“I love you too.” I call back.

Blood Bank (Arber Xhekaj)
(By Bon Iver)
A car stuck in the middle of nowhere and many feelings to confess.
Honey Bee's 2000 celebration.
An incredulous chuckle left your lips when you tried to turn the car on and it made a choked noise.
"Wow" Arber said peaking over the console. "Sounds fantastic" He ironically added.
"It's dead, isn't it?"
He looked at you and nodded. "And why is that?"
"Because I didn't took it to the car doctor on time."
Arber laughed and nodded. "I could check it really quick, but I think there is nothing to do. The battery is dead"
"Can't we recharge it?"
"I forgot my car charger at home"
You laughed and punched him on the arm. "Prick"
"I'll call Juraj to come and pick us up and we will turn the thing on with his"
"Lifesaver"
"Just imagine, you alone here in the cold night"
"To be honest? Sounds scary."
Arber nodded while he talk to Juraj on the phone. The snow was starting to fall and the sun had almost disappeared in the horizon. There were no cars around because you had decided to show him a particular view of the city.
"Twenty minutes" Arber said and turned to look at you, who already had a pack of snacks open on your lap. "Where the fuck was that?"
"Emergency storage. They say you have to keep food in your car just in case you get stuck in the snow" You said and put a piece of candy in your mouth. You were looking at him with those eyes and Arber was dissolving in a puddle.
"Candy is not emergency food"
"It is emergency food if you eat it during an emergency"
Arber laughed loudly and sat more comfortable in the car, his body was facing your now. It was getting cold and the heating didn't work because the battery was dead. So he hugged himself inside his jacket.
You mimicked him and smiled. "I told you that jacket wasn't warm enough"
He rolled his eyes and smiled too. He couldn't stop smiling when he was around you. "I didn't..."
"Winter in Canada, Arber"
You bit another piece of candy and licked your lips. "Do you ever wonder why shit happens?" You asked. Everything felt strange, the light was weird, there was no wind and complete peace outside the car, the seat was warm because you were sitting on it but the air was becoming colder with each second. And between you two there was a weird atmosphere. "Like... Why did the car die just now?"
"You don't get much sleep at night, do you?" He joked. But he was scaping. Why could you two be left stuck in the snow at that moment alone in the cold? There was a thing on his mind.
"Shut up. I just... It's the whole it happens for a reason thing. I always wonder why. What's the reason?"
You looked away from his eyes and down to his hands, feeling to vulnerable to stare at his brown eyes. Arber smiled at that shyness. You noticed then how red his hands were because of the cold and grabbed them. They were huge and yours did nothing to cover them. But there was a good intention.
Arber felt his breath stuck in his throat. You looked perfect today and he had been genuinely nervous when you had picked him. You wanted to spend the afternoon alone with him somewhere special for you. It meant something and he knew it. Now he only wanted Juraj to take hours to arrive so he could stay here with you.
"Like, the other day I fell asleep at yours. What was the reason?"
He chuckled. "You suggested coming here today while we were having breakfast"
You blew on his cold hands and tried to warm them with slow moves. "You are freezing" You muttered while thinking of his words.
"It's fine" It was because you were so focused on him. It was obviously fine.
Between you, there had always been those unspoken feelings. Since you met, you had gravitated to each other. You both knew it. Arber saw it clearly now. There was a reason.
"I think... I think I know" He muttered.
You looked up at him.
"The reason, I mean"
You moved closer and Arber had to fight the instinct telling him to cup your face.
"What's the reason? Why are we stuck here now?" You curiously asked.
"I think we both know" He whispered and his eyes moved down to your lips.
"W-what do we know?" You asked. You wanted to hear it.
You have been waiting for this for the longest time. You had been waiting for something to happen since you met him. So had him, but in the end, you were just two scared kids with really strong feelings to digest.
Arber swallowed and cupped your cheek with one of his hands.
"That I love spending time with just you. Just us. And watching you smile and the way your cheeks round when you do. I'm in love with all of those little things about you" He finally whispered. The words came so soft out of his lips that you almost didn't recognize his voice.
You let a shaky breath fall from your lips and your face warmed even when it was freezing cold. Arber saw the expression on your face change. At first, you felt as if it had already happened. It was a deja vu. But it wasn't You were just so used to being this close that you actually thought you knew. Then you realized how good those words sounded when they came from him. And then you finally smiled. The smile was so big. Arber hadn't seen much of those. He had to kiss you then.
It was slow but intense. His hands were on your face while you gripped his strong arm and jacket. But it tasted like heaven, like months of a friendship that should have been more. Kissing Arber was all you had ever imagined. Deep and slow strokes of his tongue on yours, soft breaths between kisses, gentle bites on your lips... You got utterly lost in the feeling. And the longer you kiss, the further everything seemed. Who cared about the dead battery or the snow falling outside?
"I'm in love with you too" You whispered on his lips when you pulled back to watch his lips. His black hair had fallen to his face in the middle of the kiss. You pushed it behind his ear and he grinned.
But before anything else could happen, some lights behind your car caught your attention. Juraj. You looked at the car and the tall boy climbing out of it while Arber watched you. So perfect, so beautiful.
"Are you mine?"
You looked at him and let a breathy laugh out. "I have always been"

look but don’t touch
2.7k words
featuring -> arber xhekaj x female reader (florian xhekaj also included)
genre -> angst, fluff, suggested smut - bar fight with protective arber standing up for his girlfriend when a drunk man tries hitting on her
note -> not proofread, been trying to get this posted for daysss, and wanted something up for y’all since it’s been a bit :)
The evening's plans weren’t anything crazy; a night out at the bar with Arber, Florian joining as he was still in Montreal competing for a possible roster spot. The opportunity to hangout with Arber and Florian was never one you’d turn down, as Florian had become your best friend next to his brother of course. Plus, anytime you got the two Xhekaj boys together you were surely in for an exciting night.
“Now boys, let’s just keep this a peaceful night out okay?”
You had each of the boys on your arms, joking as nights out with them usually resulted in some sort of drama. Both of them rolled their eyes as they reassured you that all the previous times weren’t their fault, because why would they ever admit to starting a fight? Only ever admitting to finishing them.
The bar was one you and Arber frequented, liking that he wasn’t usually recognized and you were able to enjoy a night out without loads of fans crowding him. Florian, being a younger guy in the organization, didn't have much of a following, so he passed as just another average Joe among the crowd of people. Though sometimes you wished they’d get recognized a bit more to get some free drinks out of it to lessen the hurt when you checked your tab at the end of the night. But if you had to weigh the pros and cons, you would choose them not being recognized over free drinks any day.
It gave you the freedom to dance with Arber and do as much PDA as you pleased. Not having to worry about cameras in your faces or people running to Twitter to share things about the two of you.
Arber ordered the first round of drinks, he and Florian both opting for beer while you preferred your go-to Tito’s and lemonade. Which Arber made sure to get with light ice and a slice of lemon, exactly how you liked it.
“Thank you baby.”
You smiled up at him as you traded him your card for the drink, the usual routine for nights out when Arber didn’t want to be recognized. He’d always pay you back for whatever the tab was the next day, but some nights he just preferred to avoid the chance of the bartender looking at his card and recognizing his name.
“Promise we won’t go too crazy tonight sweetheart.”
Arber smiled as he kissed your head, his hand lightly tapping against your ass playfully as you just shrugged sipping your drink.
The three of you found a high top table off to the back of the bar, enjoying people watching and just enjoying your drinks. Never being dance floor people when it was the three of you, especially considering Arber and Florian were brothers. The last thing you wanted was to be grinding on Arber while staring Florian in the face.
“Arber, your fight is getting ready to start.”
Florian gestured towards one of the flatscreens hung behind the bar. A UFC fight that Arber had been looking forward to all week long was being previewed. He smiled from ear to ear as they showed his choice to win getting ready to head to the ring.
“That’s my boy, he’s gonna win by a knockout. I’m calling it now.”
Bringing his beer to his lips you just shook your head, never much of a UFC fan, though you’d watch occasionally along with Arber.
As you finished off your first drink, your eyes went wide as you heard a familiar song begin to blare through the speakers.
“Florian, you’re kidding, we have to.”
Turning to Florian, his beer bottle frozen against his lips, you smiled like a fool as you waited for him to realize what was playing.
“Oh my god, no way. Let’s go!”
Florian chugged the rest of his beer before he took your hand, following you through the crowd as you found a spot for the two of you.
Charli xcx’s 360 was blasting throughout the bar, a change of pace from the typical music they played, but you and Florian didn’t mind. The song being one the two of you constantly sang together and were obsessed with. Arber simply watching was a smile as he laughed at how ridiculous the two of you were.
He’d never had to question Florian with you, knowing that your relationship was strictly friendly. If ever just the two of you, Florian even would act as your boyfriend to keep you safe from any drunk idiots that would try to have their way with you. So Arber didn’t bat an eye when your hands held his or your arm wrapped around his neck as you jumped up and down to the beat. Knowing it meant nothing, recognizing you were safe with his brother, he headed to find a seat at the bar to watch the UFC fight.
The song had come to an end and you were in desperate need of a drink, Florian staying behind to chat someone up on the floor.
“Tito’s and lemonade please.”
You smiled at the bartender as you found a spot comfortably next to Arber, seeing his eyes fixated on the UFC fight, but his hand lightly grazed yours to acknowledge you next to him.
“Can I get that for you?”
Your smile faded as you looked to your right, a drunken man smiling from behind his beer bottle as he gestured towards your glass.
“No, it’s okay. Honest.”
He chuckled as he scooted closer to you, glancing over his shoulder before he leaned in to whisper to you.
“You know, I saw you on the dance floor. And I think you really should find yourself an older man. That boy surely doesn’t know how to please you.”
Now you were the one laughing, knowing he’d meant Florian. The man clearly oblivious to the fact of who your boyfriend actually was, because if he knew he wouldn’t dare make a move on you.
“Trust me, you don’t want to go there, okay?”
“What, that punk is gonna do something? He probably couldn’t even land a punch. Get you a real man who can actually defend you baby girl.”
Shaking your head you glanced towards Arber, his eyes focused on the UFC fight but his jaw was clenched. Letting you know that he had overheard everything, but so far he felt you were handling your own.
“I’m just warning you, making comments like that, it’s not gonna end well for you.”
“What’s that punk gonna do about it huh?”
The man leaned in, his hand reaching for yours as his face was inches from you. The smell of alcohol on his breath repulsed you as you leaned back. Arber immediately turned to catch the moment, an arm wrapped around your waist as he pulled you into his chest.
“He’s not gonna do shit, but I will, how about that? You feeling tough now, big guy?”
A slight smile came across your lips as you could see the regretful look on the drunken man’s face as he realized he’d likely bit off more than he could chew.
“Hiding behind your girl huh? Very big of you. You weren’t opposed to sharing her on the dance floor, how about sharing her with me for the night. I promise I won’t bite, unless she likes that.”
A disgusting smirk came across the man’s lips as he reached out to tuck some hair behind your ear, Arber immediately standing up as he moved you behind him. Florian running from across the bar as he’d caught the tail end of things, making sure you were okay before he’d joined Arber. The two of them staring down the drunken man and his friends.
“Don’t you fucking touch her. I’ll put you on your ass in front of everyone in this bar and show them what a fucking loser you are.”
“You and your little sidekick here?”
The guy chuckled, looking at Florian and immediately underestimating him as he looked like an eighteen year old that you’d dragged along to be your designated driver.
“What’s the deal here huh? You guys both banging her? Or does he do the work and you just watch?”
Before Florian could spew his comeback, Arber’s fist connected with the drunken man’s jaw. Sending him stumbling into the arms of his friends as he grabbed at his face.
“God dammit Arber.”
Florian rolled his eyes, wishing that Arber would’ve left things alone. You tried to reach for Arber and pull him away, the last thing either of these boys needed was to get in trouble for a bar fight. That surely would jeopardize a roster spot for them.
But before you could get Arber’s attention, one of the drunken man’s friends sent Florian stumbling to the ground with a right hook.
“Fuck.”
You cursed to yourself as you knew things would surely be escalating from here, Arber never one to back down from a fight. Especially when Florian was involved. He didn’t even bother looking at his brother, knowing he’d get back to his feet and be fine, he’d taken worse punches in his day.
You kept your distance, not wanting to get in the middle as Arber grabbed the drunken man by his shirt, landing a right hook as the man’s friends tried to get in on the action. Florian quickly stepped in and pulled them off of Arber as you watched security quickly making their way over towards the chaos.
“Florian, grab him, we gotta go. Now!”
Florian wrapped his arms around Arber’s, pinning them behind his back as he pulled him away from the group of drunken men. The three of you heading for the door before security could get close enough to identify you, disappearing into the crowd as they had turned their attention to the men left bloody at the bar.
While you appreciated Arber standing up for you, it was a series of events you knew could’ve and should’ve been avoided. The idea of him and Florian jeopardizing their positions with the team because of a dumb bar fight was something you hoped wouldn’t become a reality. Hopefully you’d left the bar before anyone was able to identify the boys or worse take any photos or videos of the altercation.
The drive back to you and Arber’s shared apartment was quiet. Florian lectured Arber a bit which was an interesting change of pace, simply telling him he can’t be so impulsive, regardless if the guy was out of line or not. You knew you didn’t have to say anything to either of them, but you’d still take the opportunity to give Arber your two cents when you were alone at home. Which he was trying to calm himself down for so that he didn’t blow up on you or impulsively react negatively towards you.
“Alright, ice that hand a bit. Try to clean up as best you can, coach is surely gonna ask about that tomorrow. Y/n, you have my permission to give him hell in there.”
You laughed as you rolled your eyes, climbing from the back seat of Florian’s truck as you wrapped an arm around Arber’s.
“How about you worry about hiding your black and blue jaw Florian? Good night!”
You smiled at him as you pulled Arber towards the doors of your apartment building. His expression was anything but amused, his pulse still beating a bit fast as he was trying to relax but the whole event had him furious.
The ride in the elevator was quiet, his hand holding tight to yours as his thumb traced circles over your skin. Usually the only thing he could muster when he was angry, never able to be cold towards you completely.
He headed right for the bathroom once inside the door, knowing you’d follow and pull out a first aid kit to assess the damage while also giving him shit. But he never took offense, he knew it was wrong to be getting in bar fights, no matter if he thought it was warranted or not.
“So, we’ve got cut up bloody knuckles. A nice black eye forming here, a slight cut lip. I’d say it’s not the worst I’ve seen you walk away with.”
A soft smile appeared on your lips as you began to dig through the first aid kit. Arber watched you as he clenched his fist, trying to ignore the pain he felt. His anger finally subsided, an apologetic look in his eyes and you looked up at him. Your hand moving to tilt his face away from you as you cleaned up his lip.
“I’m sorry, I know you’re mad.”
You sighed as you shook your head, digging back through the kit as you turned your attention to his hand.
“I’m not mad Arber, I just don’t think you two needed to get wrapped up in something like that. I mean, you have to set an example for Florian. And bar fights, that’s an easy way for you to lose your spot and for him to earn a bad reputation right out of the gate. I just, I need you to think before you throw a punch next time.”
Arber winced as you cleaned his knuckles, trying to maintain his tough guy image despite the pressure against his cut up skin with the alcohol soaked gauze.
“You want me to just sit back while a guy disrespects you like that? Puts his hands on you? Fuck that. He opened his mouth so I had to put him in his place.”
His frustration began to slightly build up once more, replaying the words spoken by the man in his head along with the image of him touching you. Arber took a deep breath as he knew it was no use getting worked up over it all again.
“Or, you could’ve simply given him your two cents, and walked away. Because now how are you and Florian going to explain these bruises to the coaches tomorrow? You two fought each other drunk?”
He watched as you packed up the first aid kit with a sigh, his hand moving to tuck some hair behind your ear behind caressing your cheek.
“I’m sorry, I know you were trying to stop things from getting to that point tonight. I just can’t help that I love you so much. The sight of another man touching you, or hearing them talk to you like that asshole did, just made my blood boil.”
Your eyes shifted from the first aid kit to meet Arber’s, seeing the apologetic look in his eyes as he smiled softly.
“I’m happy to know you love me so much you’d fight someone for me, but as much as I like the sight of you a little roughed up, I prefer you without a scratch on you babe.”
Your hands tangled in his hair as you moved to stand between his thighs while he sat on the edge of the bathtub.
“Oh come on, you love me with my battle scars.”
His hands slid up your thighs, resting on your ass as he playfully smacked it, biting his lip as he stared up at you.
“Mmm, I do love them. Except they make it a little hard to kiss you when your lip is busted.”
Arber licked his lip, gauging the size of the wound with his tongue.
“I think we could manage not to make it any worse. Plus, I think I deserve a little thank you for being your knight in shining armor tonight don’t you think?”
You rolled your eyes as you shook your head, Arber’s hands moving from your ass to your hips as his fingers dipped below the hem of your shirt to tickle your skin.
“You sure you don’t want to call Florian? Since apparently you guys share me?”
You laughed as you headed into your shared bedroom, discarding your top before climbing onto the bed. Arber playfully gagged as he followed behind you, one hand caressing your cheek as he kissed you, the other working on the button and zipper of your jeans.
“Baby, if you’re trying to turn me on, don’t ever fucking mention my brother getting to do anything sexual with you. We both know I’d never share you with anyone let alone my brother.”

Kisses-F. Xhekaj
Florian Xhekaj x fem! Reader
In which tik tok gives you an idea on how to reveal your feelings to your best friend.
Warnings?; fluff, kissing, talks of anxiety and emotions, self doubt, light cursing, possibly some errors.
Your knee bounced the whole ride to the waterside restaurant, body raked with anxiety and anticipation as you thought about all of the outcomes that could come from your brilliant idea.
What idea you ask? Kissing Florian after getting him to make a tik tok with you.
You’d seen a girl do it with her boy best friend that she’d been secretly in love with for years, tricking him into thinking they were making a simple tik tok and then pulling him into a kiss.
The boy had returned her kiss and they ended up getting together, and you hoped for the same outcome for yourself and Florian.
You two had been best friends since kindergarten and you’d been hiding your feelings for the boy for the past few years.
Friends and family had teased the two of you religiously about getting together and how cute you would be as a couple but every time the topic got brought up Florian would just blush and shake his head, you always following his lead.
Realizing the car had came to a stop you shook yourself from your thoughts, jumping when you felt a hand on your shoulder.
“You good?” You heard the soft voice of one of Florian’s sisters ask from her spot beside you in the back seat.
“Yeah, just zoned out for a second.” You smiled but you could tell she didn’t believe you for a second.
However she thankfully let it go and slid out of the backseat with you following closely behind, stepping out onto the pavement of the parking lot you shut the door behind you.
Turning you collided with a hard chest, strong hands dropping to your waist to catch you before you could stumble backwards.
“Be careful.” Florian’s soft laugh floated between you two, looking up your eyes met his soft blue ones, his freshly cut hair scraping his forehead as his chain poked out over his black t shirt.
“If someone wouldn’t have been in my way I wouldn’t have stumbled.” You teased, playfully swatting his chest.
“Don’t go blaming me for your clumsiness now.” He laughed, bringing his arm to rest over your shoulder as he began to walk the two of you forwards following behind his family.
You elbowed his side but stayed tucked comfortably under his arm as you walked inside the nice restaurant, the cool air welcoming from the raging heat outside.
Arber was the first to step up the host since he made the reservation, “Hi, we have a reservation for Xhekaj at six” he smiled.
“Erm, unfortunately it looks like you guys are booked in for seven instead of six” the young girl frowned.
“Shit I must’ve gotten my times mixed up, is there any chance we can do six?” Arber tried but by the tight lipped smiled on the girls face you knew there was no way you guys were getting in until seven.
“Unfortunately we’re completely filled until seven.”
“It’s okay, there’s an outdoor mall a few blocks down, we can go walk around and then come back at seven.” Steph spoke up looking around to see if everyone was okay with it.
When everyone nodded in Agreement Arber apologized to the host and turned to follow everyone outside.
“Wanna go with them or walk down to the dock?” Florian asked in your ear.
You realized this was your chance so you agreed to his idea of a walk down by the water, the nerves that had simmered were now back taking over.
“Hey guys, we’re gonna go walk around the dock, we’ll meet you at seven.” Florian called out to his family and they all shot back okay’s before heading on their way.
You two made small talk as you walked around, despite spending most of your summer together so far you two never failed to have something to talk about.
When you two had finally reached a stopping point you pulled your phone out, “Wanna make a tik tok with me?” You asked looking up at the slightly taller boy.
“Sure as long as it’s not a dancing one again.” He laughed.
“No dancing I promise, just wanted to show off this dress, it’s too cute not to.” You shrugged running a hand down your floral sundress.
You caught his eyes following your hand but looked away before he could catch you watching. Propping your phone up you picked the audio.
Setting a timer you stepped back getting Florian into frame as into (end of the world) by Ariana Grande began to play throughout the phone.
You did a small spin to play along, eyes watching in the screen as Florian’s eyes never left you, a small smile playing on his lips as he admired you.
You moved back close to his side before looking up at him, hand shaking as it reached for his face not letting the anxiety take control before you tugged his lips down to meet yours.
His body was frozen for a moment before he snapped out of it and kissed you back, his lips moving slowly against yours as he turned to fully face you, hands on your hips as he pulled you closer.
You two finally separated after a moment, chests heaving as you both caught your breath. Your eyes ran all over his face looking for any sign of regret but you didn’t see any, instead his eyes seemed brighter than usual as a soft red tinted his cheeks.
“W-what was that for?” He breathed.
“Saw a girl do it with her boy best friend as a way of admitting her feelings, and since I’m not good with my words I thought I’d give it a try.” You blushed.
“Feelings? You like me?”
Your stomach dropped at his words, this is where the decline comes in, this is where he tells you he doesn’t feel the same.
“W-well yeah, have for a long time now and I didn’t want to hide it anymore. It’s okay if you don’t feel the same way, I don’t expect you to, and we can totally act like this ne-“ you started but were cut off by the feeling of his soft lips against yours once again.
“Quit rambling and let me speak.” He laughed after pulling away, “I like you too, love you even.”
You couldn’t help the smile that grew on your face, he liked you back? What world were you living in. All the nerves were quickly washed away with his words, new emotions of love and joy taking their place.
“So where does this leave us?” You whispered.
“I think this leaves us as two kids madly in love, and me with a very important question to ask.”
“Yeah, what’s your question?” You giggled.
“Will you be my girlfriend?” He smiled.
“I would love too.”
You squealed as his arms wrapped around you and your feet lifted from the ground as he spun you around in circles, his lips once again finding their home against yours.
“I love you so much.” He spoke against your lips.
“I love you more Flo.”
Setting you down you ran over to pick up your phone, both of you watched the video over and over until you finally saved it to your drafts, keeping the memory between the two of you until you were ready to post it online.
You never thought you’d credit tik tok for getting you and Florian together but you couldn’t be more grateful.

He can’t focus on anything. Seeing her dancing in this tight short red dress drives him crazy. He has known y/n for two years now, yet he didn’t dare to ask her out.
Now, as he’s sitting in the club in a box with his teammates, with a clear view of the dance floor, he can’t keep his eyes off her. Y/n’s moves are so smooth and elegant, yet sexy and alluring.
“Go dance with her!” Juraj nudges his shoulder, grinning at him as he takes a sip of his drink. “You’ve been crushing her for the past year, so make a move finally.”
“I don’t know,” Arber sighs, sipping from his drink. His gaze pinned on y/n watching her every move. “I don’t think I’m her type.”
“Man,” Nick clicks his tongue shaking his head at Arber's stupidity. “She can’t take her eyes off you, whenever you’re in her presence.”
“Okay, but what if-“ he’s stopped by Cole’s voice and his arm around his shoulder.
“No ’What ifs’ just go there, and dance with her!” he says, his eyes already on y/n who’s dancing alone on the dance floor. The moment Arber moves her eyes on her, some guy approaches her, standing behind her, landing her hips. She turns around an uncomfortable expression on her face.
Arber doesn’t wait any longer, making his way to the dance floor, so he can save you from that guy.
“I said no! My boyfriend is here!” she said, her voice shaky as she tried to get that man away from her.
“And where he is? I don’t see him?” the man says sarcastically, moving closer to her.
“He’s standing right behind you,” Arber says, his voice calm and steady, his eyes locked in yours, the relief washed across her face when she saw his familiar face. “And if you step even closer to her, I chop your dick off!” he carefully places his hands on her hips, pulling her towards him. She rests her hands on his hands, her breaths are calmer than before.
“Oh, tough boy!” he lets out a chuckle, looking into Arber’s eyes with disbelief. “Back off, I had her first, and I can see you’re not with her.”
“And how the fuck you can see I’m not her boyfriend?” Y/n shivers from Arber's deep and irritated voice, that comes from his mouth. His hands on her hips are warm against her skin, making her push herself more into his touch.
The guy just scoffs shaking his head. A mischievous smirk plays on his lips when he looks at them. “Prove it,” he states simply, a cocky smile on his lips. “Prove me, you are her boyfriend.”
Arber looks down at y/n meeting her soft and hazy gaze. She gives him a small nod squeezing his hands. Arber bends down, his nose touching hers, and their breaths mingle. Arbers right hand rests on y/n’s neck pulling her closer to him when their lips meet.
The kiss is gentle at first, but once Arber gains more courage, he swipes his tongue along her lower lip, pleading her for access. Y/n opens her mouth, their tongues dancing in sync.
Y/n turns around in Arber’s arms her hands wrapping around his neck, pulling him down so she can deepen the kiss even more. Arber’s left hand makes its way to y/n’s butt, giving it a tender squeeze.
“Okay! Okay! Enough! I believe you know.” The guy grumbles walking away from them. Arber and Y/n didn’t even notice it, as they kept their lips on each other.
“I wanted to do this since the day I saw you in the rink with girls,” Arber whispers in her lips, biting down at her lower lip and sucking it in his mouth. Y/n lets out a whimper, her hips bucking in his, causing a soft moan to leave his throat.
“Then why haven’t you done it?” she smirks in the kiss, playing with the hair on the nape of his neck.
“What?” Arber pulls away slightly, confusion written all over his face.
“Then why haven’t you done it?” she says again smirk lingering on her face.
“Oh,” he lets out, causing y/n to giggle at his expression.
“Yeah oh,” she giggles again. “I liked you all the time. I thought you saw the signs and just ignored them.” she shrugs her shoulders her hands scratching on his scalp.
“I-I thought, you don’t have an interest in me,” Arber says ultimately realizing how dumb he was. He could have had her girl years ago, yet he hasn’t seen any of it.
“Well, next time you shouldn’t think and just do whatever your heart says.” She whispers in his lips, kissing him again, this time more passionate.
As they keep kissing, Nick, Juraj, and Cole are watching them from the box with stupid smiles on their faces.
“I won! Gimme the money!” Juraj snorts, reaching his hands towards the two of them. They groan, getting out their wallets and handing him twenty bucks.
“As if the forty bucks were worth something,” Nick says sipping from his bear.
“Oh, they do! I’m gonna put them in the Jar with my bet wins against you two.” He laughs shoving his shoulder.
“And then you’ll do what with them?” Cole asks this time with confusion written all over his face.
“I’m gonna calculate them and see how much money I made on you.”
“What money are you three talking about?” Y/n’s voice interrupts them, a hazy smile on her lips, as she’s pressed against Arber’s chest.
“Oh, we made a bet on you two. A few weeks ago.” Cole looks up at them stupid smile on his lips. Arber cock his head to a side brows furrowed in surprise.
“You two are stupid, really…” he shook his head, kissing the top of y/n’s head. “Let’s get outta here. I have better plans to do.” He mumbles in her ear, loud enough for her to hear it.
“Yeah, and what?” she looks up at him, her eyes sparkling with passion and horniness.
“I think you know, what I mean.”
“Yeah, I know!” she smirks, grasping his hand and leading him out.

the fake dating trope is my literal weakness & never fails to make go absolutely feral. i loved how nico was super respectful of reader yet didn’t let jackson & his shit slide at all. the scene where nico picks reader up after the football/soccer game literally had me foaming at the mouth. their works never fail to make me feel some type of way i swear 💓
the teacher’s always right — q. hughes
author: @captain-huggy-bear
literally melted when quinn said “hi, baby” to reader in front of her students & then proceeded to publicly say “anything for my girl” 🥹😭 i was actually so sad when i finished reading it bc it was so good i didn’t want to stop reading. this entire fic altered my brain chemistry istg
reader is so fr for wanting to prove her students wrong about her dating quinn. i think i’d actually crash out if my students were that relentless in not believing her & in denying the fact that reader is with quinn 😭

May I request smut for Arber Xhekaj? Maybe one where the female reader works for the Habs team and she and Arber catch feelings??
Okay I really hope you like this. This is the first time I’ve ever written for him and I only just put him on my list. If this goes well, haha, I’ll start planning for something longer with him. Here’s hoping 🤞🏻
You often wondered why you had a penchant for putting yourself in the situations that you did.
Dumb? A glutton for punishment? High?
All three you decided as you sat there, squirming in your seat as Arber stared at you.
To say you had a crush on him was putting it mildly. It was beyond that now.
Being the social media manager for an NHL team was supposed to be easy. Great hours, great pay, great atmosphere, and thus far all of those things had turned out to be true but what they hadn’t prepared you for was Arber.
The first time you saw him, you’d actually frozen mid sentence and lost your whole train of thought when you made eye contact. Your face got red, you stumbled over your words and your stomach jumped into your throat. You nearly tripped over your own feet and quickly hurried to your office and away from him, slamming the door behind you and shaking yourself like a dog.
Who the fuck was that?
A deep dive told you what you needed to know and you decided that day you would stay as far away from him as you could.
Which turned out to not be very far at all.
He was everywhere. Brushing against you as he moved past, making it a point to sit next to you whenever he could, or completely invading your personal space on the regular. You came home each day exhausted and in need of a cold shower. It felt like an uphill battle to avoid him, and you were actually glad when they were gone on road trips because it meant you had a few days of peace now and again.
Today was one of those rare peaceful days. Practice had ended some hours ago, you were the only one really in the arena at all, and you were humming along to yourself while you did some paperwork when a knock sounded on your door.
“Come in.” You called, assuming it was the mailman or someone dropping something off but when you heard the door open and close and no voice announcing themselves you looked up and to your horror you found Arber standing inside your office.
Your pen slipped from your hand, hit the desk and you felt your whole body get hot.
“Can I-what-can I help you?” You asked clearing your throat nervously. You felt a little sweaty and hot and took a deep breath to cool down.
“I think so. Do you dislike me or something?”
“No-“
“Or do you like me too much and that’s why you run every time I come near you.”
You stumbled over your words as he took a step forward, reaching back to pull the door completely shut behind him, a small click to signify that it locked from the outside.
You were both nervous, scared and excited as he made his way slowly forward until he was close enough that you stood from your chair. You stood staring at him and then cleared your throat “So did you need help with something then?”
“Do you?” He looked you up and down “Need help with something?”
“Me? What do you mean?”
“You seem nervous.”
“Nervous?” You chuckled a little and started moving things around with shaking hands “Why would I be nervous?”
“You tell me.” He smiled and blocked your path as you went to move around him. You stopped and looked up at him realizing how gigantic he actually was now that you were that close to him. You swallowed thickly and took a deep breath as you watched one giant hand reach up to brush a strand of hair from your cheek and tuck it behind your ear. He moved it down the side of your neck, long fingers moving across your collarbone, and pushing your hair completely over your shoulder.
“Arber.” You whispered. The air in your office seemed to freeze completely and you gave a little shiver despite the heat that you felt in your face. If someone had struck a match, the room would have exploded.
“Hmmmmm?” He was still staring at you unblinking, hand burning your skin as it rested by the base of your throat “Do you want me to stop?”
You shook your head and titled your chin up a little letting out a breath as he moved in agonizingly slow.
Kissing Arber was everything you had dreamed it would be, but also got out of hand pretty quickly. It had been very sweet and slow, but at this point the tension that had been building for months took it in a different direction. He pulled away and came in at a different angle, backing you up against your desk, hands resting on either side of your waist. After a few moments he reached a hand out and swept everything off your desk in one swift motion, before picking you up with a squeal and sitting you on it, coming to stand between your legs.
You couldn’t believe you were doing this, even as you reached down to pull on the bottom of his shirt as he threaded his hands through your hair. You pulled him closer by the waistband of his gym shorts as he pushed your skirt up around your hips glancing down before stopping completely.
“Take these off.” He said breathily pulling at your stockings. Before you could though you hear a soft rip and looked down to find that he had torn them to reveal a pair of black lacy underwear.
“Arber!” You whisper scolded glancing down as he pushed you skirt completely up and then gripped you by the waist, pulling you forward and then leaning you back, pushing his own shorts down. You breathed deep, eyes focusing on the ceiling for a second as you prepared yourself for what would probably end up being the worst thing you’d ever do. You would surely lose your job for this, but you just didn’t care.
You gasped as he pushed inside you, one leg propped up on your chair, the other leg being held up by him as he pulled out and pushed in again. The desk was acutely uncomfortable as you arched up off it, but the slow drag of friction as he found a rhythm to his pushes was just too enthralling to make you think about that. You hit your lip eyes closing until you felt his hand wrap around your throat and you opened them to find him looking at you. He gave your neck a small squeeze, and then a harder one, hitching your leg up higher.
“Arber I-“
“Shhhhhh.” He shook his head and let his hand drift down your chest, fingers splayed across it before he moved it under your neck and pulled you up to kiss him. You could barely stand it. The sensation of him kissing you, gripping your neck, and continuing to move in and out of you was too much. Your head fell forward and your body began to shake, heat pooling in your stomach as the ache in between your legs increased.
You came with a small scream and a gasp as he did too, and you sat there for a minute, forehead resting against his shoulder.
What had you done?
“You okay?” He asked quietly from above you, almost like he sensed your inner turmoil. You looked up and shook your head.
“I’m going to get fired.”
“Nah. I’m not going to tell anyone. Our secrets safe with me.” He winked and pulled out of you, pulling his gun shorts back up and helping you off the desk so you could fix your skirt. He was quiet a minute before he spoke.
“I promise I won’t tell anyone really. But also…what are you doing later?”
You laughed then, smile stretching across your face and tucked a strand of hair behind your ear “Wouldn’t you like to know?”
“I would. Why don’t you come over so I can find out.”
“Mmmmmm maybe. Guess you’ll have to wait and see.” You said smiling cheekily at him. He smiled back and leaned forward pausing as he came level with your face and let his nose brush yours as he gave you a very chaste kiss and backed away from your desk, sending you one last smile as he left your office, leaving you in there with messy hair and ripped tights. This would never end well. You’d been strictly forbidden to fool around with any players and your job was important, but so was the idea of being in his bed later. You waged a war in your brain finally coming to a decision. You leaned back in your chair and crossed your arms.
You needed a new job.

it’s ok, i’m ok
arber xhekaj x fem! reader
warnings?: angst, crying, cursing, kissing, smut, unprotected sex, fluff and dramaaaaaa
i don’t want him anyway, girl take him
-
florian had asked you over, so you drove anxiously, wondering if this was the moment he was finally asking you to be his girlfriend. you’d been talking for about a month or so, and you felt ready for the next step with him.
you pulled into his driveway and huffed, nervous to walk into the house you loved to be at, a home that was always so warm and kind to you. you texted him that you’d arrived and approached his front door as he opened it, him opening it wide for you, everything seemingly normal.
instead of stopping and saying hello to his parents and sisters, he b-lined for his bedroom, quickly shutting the door behind you. quickly, he sighs and looks down at his feet.
“what?” you asked.
“i just- okay, i need you to listen. like completely.”
“okay?”
“so, um, fuck. okay, well i’m asking kayla to be my girlfriend today and i wanted to tell you because it would be wrong of me not to.”
“i’m sorry?” you reply, heart sinking quickly in your chest.
“i really hope im not upsetting you by doing this, it’s just what felt right to me.”
“pat yourself on the back buddy, you really thought this one through.” you snap, your passive remarks gleaming through.
“i really did consider your feelings in all of this, the last thing i wanted to do was take it to far. we never even had sex.”
“florian. you think that that’s what this was about? oh we didn’t have sex so it wasn’t that serious? i was prepared to come here today to be the one being asked to be your girlfriend, and i was ready to say yes. but instead you throw this at me and apparently katelyn i-“
“her name is kay-“
“i really don’t give a fuck about her name florian. fuck you. you know i really loved coming here and being with you and your family, and i’ll be so fucking pleasured to tell them what you’ve done. i didn’t even know you were talking to someone else how could you? like honestly fuck you. goodbye, i’m leaving. so much for considering my fucking feelings asshole. and don’t chase after me, just leave me the fuck alone.” you replied, leaving him no room to speak as you shut the door behind you walking back out toward the entry way, arber being the only family member left in the kitchen.
“i heard arguing? is everything okay?” he asks, setting his water down on the island.
“no, your brother’s an asshole.” you reply, biting your lip as your eyes watered.
“oh fuck, what happened? are you okay?”
“i thought he asked me over here to ask me to be his girlfriend, turns out he asked some other girl who i didn’t even know about. yet apparently he considered my feelings.” you reply, letting a tear slip.
“jesus christ.” he scoffs, leaving the two of you in silence for a moment.
“well, thank you for listening and being there for me arber. i’m sorry you’ll probably never see me again.” you frown, not wanting to leave the warm walls of the xhekaj home.
“let’s go for a drive, it’ll help you clear your head.”
“but arber i-“
“no, let’s go.” he says grabbing his truck keys and following you out the front door.
“you didn’t have to do this.” you say as he climbs in the drivers seat.
“well i don’t want today to be the last day i see you, so let’s take a drive so you can clear your head. talk to me y/n.” he says, pulling down the road.
“i don’t know.” you sigh, leaning your head in your hand. something about arber had always intrigued you. you being in between him and florian’s age made it confusing for you at first, of course landing on the first bit of attention you got. arber was almost always in the back of your mind whether you wanted to admit it or not.
“you know, you deserve a whole lot better than that right? i love my brother a lot, truly i do, but ive never seen him fuck up anything this bad. it’s almost out of character for him” he asks, turning to you as he drove down a straight road.
“why do you say that?” you reply.
“because, you’re always so kind and caring. watching you care for flo the way you did honestly made me jealous that i couldn’t have you for myself. not like in a weird revenge way, just in general you know?” he replies honestly, sending you spiraling into your thoughts.
jealous that i couldn’t have you for myself, you repeated over and over in your head.
“well at the time i was just returning the favor but, maybe i wasn’t.”
“you weren’t y/n, that’s just how you are. i’ve been around you enough to know that.” he replies pulling into a parking lot.
“yeah i guess……” you trailed off, “i’m sad im never gonna be in your house again.”
“says who?”
“that i can’t be in your house again?”
“yeah who told you that?” he asks, locking eyes with you as he put his truck in park. you sat in a comfortable silence for a moment as you thought about how to reply.
“i just kind of figured i couldn’t because of everything.”
“well you figured wrong, because i’ll be damned if you’re not in my house tomorrow.” he says, his eyes growing intenser, your heart pounding in your chest, the feeling of craving looming in the air.
carefully, he brought a soft hand to your cheek, bringing you in for an electric kiss, sending shockwaves through your body. you melted into his lips effortlessly as he pressed the buttons on both of your buckles, assisting you into his lap, hardly losing connection between your lips.
his hands held you delicately as your arms wrapped around his shoulder, holding him impossibly closer than you’d ever held his brother. it’s crazy how different you felt. in this moment, you craved arber in ways you’d never felt before.
you pulled away for a moment locking eyes with the brunette as he smiled, brushing strands of your hair out of your face.
“arber i-,” you pause, getting lost in his sweet gaze.
“what is it?” he asks, his hands now rested lightly on your thighs.
“i want you.” you say nervously finally admitting to yourself that maybe this is what you’d wanted all along.
“want me how honey? tell me what you want.” he replies gently.
“i wanna have sex with you.”
“okay.” he simply replies, smoothing his hands down your thighs and around the curve of your ass, his lips pressing sweet kisses to your jaw as he laid his seat all the way down, your hands tangled in his dark hair as you grew wet at the slight nips he left in your neck.
“this okay?” he asks, slipping a hand slightly under the hem of your shirt. you simply nodded allowing him to continue as he lightly squeezed your breasts, a whispered moan leaving your lips. you felt him giggle against your skin before pulling away and removing his hands.
“so ready for me huh?” he giggles and your face flashes red.
“don’t be embarrassed y/n. i’ll give you a second okay?” he giggles bringing you in for a reassuring kiss. you climbed off of his lap, your thoughts surrounding your mind as you removed your bottoms in his passengers seat.
what if this is just to get back at florian? what if he doesn’t actually want this? oh fuck it.
you’re snapped quickly out of your thoughts by a light hand touching your arm.
“everything okay?” he asks, laid back in his seat.
“yeah yes sorry, i’m ready.” you reply, as you notice his other hand in the waistband of his pants.
“okay.” he smiles kindly, pressing a kiss to your hand before you finally kicked your pants off your feet, climbing back into his lap as he strokes himself in his pants. you lean over attaching your lips as you used two fingers to rub yourself, arousing you even more at the fact that he was jerking off to you in his passengers seat.
that alone was enough to get him up.
“fuck.” he groans, lowering the waistband of his pants, his large cock springing free, landing against his lower abdomen. you took him into your hand, his hands placed on the outside of your thighs as you positioned yourself over him, lowering yourself onto his thick cock slowly. you moaned loudly as he bottomed out inside you, crashing onto your arms over him, his hands guiding you as you grinded against him, stretching you out intensely, further than you could’ve imagined.
“fuck” you moan quietly as he can begins to support your ass as you bounced up and down at a steady pace. moans and explicits echoing from both of you throughout the large truck.
“fuck you look so pretty riding me like this.” he grunts out, snapping his hips into, your eyes rolling back in your skull, butterflies tearing through your stomach at his words, reconnecting your lips instantly to muffle the moans that were torn from your throat. his swollen cock brushing the sweet spot buried so deep inside you with each thrust.
“oh my god arber, i’m gonna cum.” you whine pulling away, grinding your hips back and forth against his as your warm walls tightened around him.
“fuck baby, come on my cock.” he says lowly in your ear before you rested your head in the crook of his neck as an orgasm shook through you, your muscles spazzing uncontrollably as he fucks your through your high, eventually edging close to his own, asking you to sit up as he pulls out, spewing his milky ropes onto your stomach, panting heavily. he sits up, opening his console, using napkins to wipe his mess from your abdomen, folding the napkin up and tossing it out of the car.
“i hope you know this wasn’t just for revenge arber.” you muster up the words to say.
“i know it wasn’t y/n. we both wanted it, i could tell.” he replies, hands cupping your jaw as he pecks your lips.
“so are you coming back to mine?” he smiles as you climb back into the passengers seat.
“i think you’ve convinced me enough.” you reply with a giggle, his hands guiding resting lightly on your thigh as he drove back to the direction of his house.
“i was hoping so.” he replies, moments of silence following.
“you know, i really like you. and i actually was kinda jealous of florian that he got you and i didn’t.” he admits
“well now you have me.”
“i hope i can keep you.” he replies as he pulls back into the driveway, where you were borderline having a meltdown about an hour ago.
“just know, that girl he asked to be his girlfriend,”
“what about her?” you reply with a sigh.
“she ain’t got shit on you, okay? walk in there with your head held high.” he continues.
“okay.” you blush, rolling your eyes slightly as you climb out of the truck, grabbing the bag of clothes you brought originally meant to stay the night with florian, instead that bag ending up on arber’s bedroom floor. a place you’d never really thought they’d be. especially not when you woke up this morning.
-
you woke up draped over arber’s shirtless body, his skin warm pressed against yours. you groaned as you sat up stretching out intensely, waking him up on accident.
“i didn’t mean to wake you.” you giggle quietly.
“mmm its okay.” he groans, rubbing his eyes.
“i have to go home.” you sigh, looking down at him. he sits up out of bed sliding on pajama pants and walking you to the front door as you created small talk to fill the silence, your bag in his hand.
“text me when you get home okay? drive safe.” he says to you, pressing a kiss to your temple and sending you on your way. your heart grew in size at the gesture.
“holy hell, i can’t believe this.” you laugh to yourself as you drive away. 24 hours ago you were convinced you’d be florian’s girlfriend, and now you were effortlessly intertwined with arber.
and for some reason,,, everything felt so natural this way.
-
“i’m nervous, she’s gonna be here arber.” you sigh. the xhekaj family was hosting thanksgiving, as per usual, and you’d been going out with arber for at least 2 months now.
unlike florian, someone knew what he wanted, and that was you.
you’d never been happier. arber kept you a fresh bouquet of roses in your bedroom every two weeks, paid for your coffee, your gas, and various other little things. little things that made you feel cared for in ways you couldn’t imagine.
“she’s gonna be here but it’s fine baby, i promise. you’re with me. nothing she can do or say will hurt you, not while i’m around. and if you need to come and be in my room that’s okay. i understand this is your first time seeing her so it’s a little raw, but im here for you, my sisters and mom are too. they weren’t happy about how this all played out but they’re happy you’re still around.” he reassured squatting in front of you as you sat on his bed, your hands grasped in his as he promised you that everything would be okay.
“okay, thank you.” you reply, opening your arms to hug him, which he gladly and warmly accepted, pressing a short sweet kiss to his lips before you separated and left his bedroom, walking out into the dining room where everyone sat talking.
“y/n, i saved you a seat right here.” arber’s older sister winked, patting the seat next to you, the one on your other side quickly taken by arber.
“thank you.” you say quietly, your eyes landing on florian’s girlfriend for a moment.
the longer you were with arber, the more confident you became. the one glance at her was enough to prove that you were the better catch, which made you feel a hell of a lot better about the situation.
“oh hi, i’m kayla, i don’t think we’ve met.”
“i know who you are.” you reply to her, turning back to sophia and talking to her, florian glaring at you, annoyed at the interaction.
“oh.” she replies, her hands finding their way into her lap.
“i’m y/n.” you smile passively at her, almost in a condescending way.
“it’s nice to meet you.” she says hesitantly, you flash a quick fake smile at her before turning to arber.
“this is just embarrassing.” you giggle quietly.
“what baby?” he says lowly, leaning his ear to your lips.
“he picked that over me, you’re a smart boy.” you reply and he smirks, kissing you on the temple before turning to his mom to make her speech.
“it’s lovely having our newcomer kayla here for thanksgiving, now let’s feast.” she says and you choke slightly on your water, sophia smacking your leg with a giggle as you tried to cover it up smoothly.
you spent the whole meal speaking to everyone except them two.
everyone knew what had gone down, clearly,,,, except her. seems as though she had no idea.
“do you think she knows?” arber leans in your ear.
“not a damn clue, but it’s in the past now so, no point in telling her about it.” you reply.
“touché.” he replies, his hands finding its way to your thigh, his thumb running lightly over the fabric of your pants. the rest of the meal was smooth, eventually coming to an end and you finding your way back into arber’s room changing into your pajamas.
“you were really sexy being passive aggressive like that.” he teases, tickling your sides, laughter erupting in the room as he pecked your neck lightly with his lips. your hands harshly grabbing his wrists begging him to stop.
“finish getting changed so we can go watch our movie okay? i know you don’t really wanna be around her but you can lay against my chest and sleep for all i care, i just want you there.” he says, tugging his sweater over his head, and changing into his pajamas.
“i will, ill meet you out there.” you say and he nods leaning in for a kiss.
“i love you.” he says, face only inches away from yours. your heart stopped at his words, in the best way possible.
he loved you.
“i love you too arbs.” you reply, not trying to pause for too long, grabbing him by his jaw and bringing him in for one last kiss.
after all, maybe this all happened for a reason, that reason being that arber was probably the most perfect man you’d ever seen and you were okay being the one he loved.

Hello! I would love for you to write a Valentine’s Day prompt or blurb for arber xhekaj - maybe a first date??
thank you for the request! I hope you enjoy :)
warnings: none, pure fluff
pairing: arber xhekaj x reader
Arber smiled behind his menu as he watched your eyes scan the dessert list. He never usually let himself indulge in dessert, but he saw your eyes light up when the waitress suggested something sweet at the end of the meal. He couldn’t help himself, you had completely enamoured him.
usually his dates went negatively or ended up between the sheets, but he didn’t see that with you. He was thankful that Nick had set this date up because apparently you were going on dates with terrible men. One had made you foot the bill, another turned up an hour late. Arber knew he couldn’t do that so he swung by your place five minutes early, opened his car door for you, had already handed his card to the waitress. This was going to be the best first date either of you had ever had, he was sure of it.
his large hand grasped the stem of the wine glass and be lifted it to his lips to take a sip of the dark red liquid. Arber’s tongue darted out to collect a drop that rested on his lip and your eyes watched the movement. You jostled in your seat, ignoring the butterflies that were in your stomach. dark brown eyes met yours and your cheeks warmed.
“Anything take your fancy?” Arber asked as he closed his menu before taking another sip of wine.
“Aside from the man sitting opposite me,” you spoke, “the lemon cheesecake looks delightful.”

can you write something where you help arber getting dress because his shoulder hurts?
You heard a groan and ran to the bedroom.
"Arber"
He sighed defeated and dropped the shirt to the bed.
"Come here, babe" You pulled him close and hugged him. He was frustrated, he hadn't been sleeping well and he wanted to be back on the ice. So your girlfriend job was harder than usual now. "Can I help you with that?"
He sighed and lean forward.
"I hate it. It hurts even trying to get dressed"
"That's exactly the doctor told you to not do. But you are stubborn as hell, buddy"
He chuckled and kissed your lips softly.
"You are lucky to have a so patient girl to help you"
"So damn lucky" He smiled and kissed your forehead.
"Okay, let's go."
You had been with him at the doctor appointments, so you were aware of all the steps he would need to take and the things he should and should not do. You had insisted, you wanted him to reach for help, but sometimes he didn't and this stuff happened.
Being the most careful you could, you helped him with the sleeve. The slightest movement would hurt, so you made him grab you to steady his arm. Arber wanted to groan and curse, but you were so sweet and careful he kept himself from it. You were nice enough to be his nurse so it was the less he could do. He couldn't believe how lucky he was.
Once you fixed the shirt on one shoulder, you helped with the other.
"Okay, good job. Now the sling" You said with a sweet smile. You had to tie it around his body and made sure everything was in place. "Feeling better?"
He nooded and brought you closer with the good hand. You cupped his cheeks and kissed him. "I love you. But I don't have trousers"
You chuckled and shook your head.
"Fucking big thighs and tight pants. We are buying you mom jeans, honey" You said after pulling his trousers up.
"You didn't complain about my big thighs three days ago"
"Don't play with fire, Xhekaj"
He laughed at you trying to be serious.
"Cute"
"The shoes now?" He asked with a pout.
"Okay, which ones"
And while you where kneeling in front of him tying his shoes, he cupped your chin and made you look up.
"I love you. For real. You are making all of this much better" He confessed.
You turned your face to kiss his palm. "I want my boy back on the ice soon. And I love taking care of you"
He brushed his thumb over your cheek.
"Thank you"
"It's nothing" You sincerely said. "I'm happy to help"
