Your plan was to put up a birthday party at the Titan cafe, with a lend of hand from Kazuma and Yamato. Kagami didn’t do much besides reading his book 24/7 on the couch. Yamato’s younger brother Minato insisted on helping them with the decorations. The presents, the food and the cake were all set. Minato helped Kazuma to bake a birthday cake since Yamato cannot be trusted. 

Although Eiji didn’t want to do anything special for his birthday, which is today besides spending time with you and his friends, you just planned ahead by setting up a birthday party in secret. Kazuma surprisingly agreed to help you with it, so did the others too. Good thing Eiji is out for a while doing a job. 

“Alright, all done.” You finished putting the candles on the birthday cake, you went to check on Kazuma and Minato to see if they were finished prepping the food. Yamato seemed to be getting scowled by Kazuma for not following simple instructions. Minato tried to calm Kazuma down. You watched in silence, covering your mouth as you walked off with a little laughter. 

You headed out for a bit to get some fresh air and to grab a few things from the convenience store. As you were drinking a bottle of soda in front of the store, a police officer walked up to you, “Oh hey (Y/n)!” you hid your annoyance away when Kouga appeared. “Hello Kouga, surprised to see you here.” you greeted with no happy expression. 

“Say, where is your boyfriend Eiji at?” Kouga asked with a bitter smirk. 

You answered simply, finishing off your bottle of soda, “He’s out doing a job.”

“Really? I’m surprised he’s not here with you.” Kouga sipped his can of coffee, a cheeky smirk still planted on his face. ‘This guy is irritating as fuck, his presence annoys me…” you thought to yourself, rolling your eyes as you looked away. 

“Flirting with my girlfriend when I’m not here, Kouga?” Eiji spoke in a little sarcastic manner, he appeared out of the blue and walked up to you. He must have finished his job as fast as you thought. “Eiji-boy!” Kouga backed up a little with his hands raised, “You know I wouldn’t do that, especially when she’s your pretty little lady.” 

Eiji puffed out a smoke from his cig, “Shouldn’t you be working or something?” he asked with a hint of annoyance that was slipping through his tone. “Actually, I’m on my break. I came here to get some snacks until I spotted your girlfriend out here.” You truly wished you could punch that fucking smirk out of Kouga’s face. 

“Let’s go, (Y/n).” Eiji put back his cig between his lips while he held onto your hand as you both walked away. “By the way…” Kouga paused, sipping his coffee, “Happy Birthday, Eiji-boy.” He finally walked the other way, waving goodbye to you and Eiji. 

‘How the fuck does that bastard know it’s my boyfriend’s birthday today?’ You asked yourself in wonder, looking over your shoulder. 

“What were you doing out here, babe?” Eiji wondered, a sign of concern showing up on his face. You believe he worries a lot when you go out by yourself. Not to mention he can be protective at times. But hey, he’s just looking out for you since you’re his girlfriend. 

“I just came out here to get some fresh air…and to grab a few things from the store. Also I didn’t expect to see you here, I take it that the job was quick to finish?” You asked him. 

“Yeah, I’ve just had to shoot these guys down and save the kid they kidnapped. The kid is now safe and sound.” Eiji said with a proud smile. 

“That’s great to hear.” Your phone came up with a message notification. From Kagami, saying that everything is now set. You slipped up a like emoji to the message and put your phone away. Nuzzling up to Eiji as he smiled warmly and kissed your forehead romantically.

As soon as you both returned to Titan Cafe, Eiji realized the lights were not turned on. “Why the-” 

“SURPRISE!” Yamato and the others waved their hands in the air, you kissed a Surprised Eiji on the cheek as he looked over to you, “Happy Birthday Eiji. I know you didn’t want to do anything special today but we just wanted to do something nice for you and-” 

Eiji shushed you by pulling you into his arms to kiss you. Yamato covered his little brother’s eyes, not wanting him to see this. Kagami chuckled, he knew this was coming. “Guys, please, get a room.” Kazuma put up his hands to shield his eyes from the two of you kissing. 

“I’m sorry we couldn’t help it.” You moved away from Eiji for a moment, covering your mouth as you let out a chuckle. “You will have to get used to it, Kazuma.” Eiji grinned, motioning his arm to hold you close. 

Kazuma huffed in annoyance towards his big brother, “Yeah, well, I don’t think I ever will.” 

The lights dimmed out again as Minato brought out the cake with candles lit up on top of it. You and your friends began to sing happy birthday. Once the song was over, Eiji made a wish and blew out the candles. He opened the presents that were brought for him. You got him a pretty cool gun keychain which he loves very much. 

You and your friends had a slice of cake afterwards, chatting away while munching down the cake of deliciousness. Baked by Kazuma, with a lend of hand from Minato. You headed out to get some air, standing outside in front of the cafe. Eiji noticed your mood changing so he walked out to check on you, “Hey, everything okay?” Startled by the sound of his voice of concern, you turned around and asked, “Eiji, was the party too much?” 

Eiji cocked his eyebrow into wondering why you ask such a thing, “No, of course not, babe.” 

“I know you didn’t want to do anything for your birthday and such, I feel like I might have overdone it with the decorations and-” Your lips became sealed when Eiji hugged you in a tight embrace. “Babe, I love it. The party, the presents and the cake, everything.” He pressed his forehead against yours, his blue starlit eyes locked on you, “Honestly, the best part of my birthday today was spending time with you and the others.” 

You buried your head into his chest with a blissful smile, your arms attached around him. Eiji flinged his hands over behind your back, his head pressing gently against yours. “I love you so much, (Y/n), you literally mean the whole world to me. Thank you for this and everything, I think this is what I needed.” 

A smile of joy gleamed across your face, “I love you too.” You leaned close to him to press a gentle kiss at the corners of his lips, “Happy Birthday, Eiji, my silly dorky man."

Highly impressed by your skills, even though you didn’t have a divine tattoo like he does, he asked you to join his team Helios. It became awkward at first since you were the only girl in Helios but you weren’t exactly bothered by it. You became good friends with Banri and Kagami. Eiji’s younger brother, Kazuma, took some time for both of you to get along. 

A year later, everything changed. Eiji got shot by Kagami with a magic bullet and the reason why he did it was because he wanted to help him, knowing Eiji has been through a lot ever since he lost friend Banri a long time ago. A man called Yamato Kai was given the Cerberus divine tattoo, and Eiji entrusted him with it, making him his successor. You’ve been told by Kouga, the damn bastard officer, that Eiji was dead but you found out that he wasn’t. 

Since then, Yamato Kai became a new addition to the team with Eiji still leading it. Things started to change while some parts of it remain the same except the fact that Eiji still has you wrapped up around his finger, thinking about you constantly everyday. 

Whenever he’s not very busy managing the Titan Cafe, he would often come and spend time with you. You don’t seem to mind it at all, liking and enjoying his company as always. Meanwhile, Kagami noticed the spark between you two but didn’t dare to speak of it. He wouldn’t want to embarrass Eiji whenever he’s with her. Kazuma and Yamato were aware of it too, they began to figure out that Eiji has romantic feelings for you. 

On the day where Eiji stayed at the Titan cafe without you around, Kagami and the other two encouraged him to let those feelings out he has for you. Romance was never on his mind, yet he wants to experience it; with you. Coming to realise that he cares about you more than anything since you were always by his side in the Akatsuki Ward. 

Surely, at first, he hesitated to tell you how he feels about you. Eiji didn’t let that thought stop him; so he gained the courage to head over to your apartment. Kagami, Kazuma and Yamato watched him proudly leave the Titan Book Cafe. Hoping that things will go well.

Since you weren’t currently doing much at home besides reading a book or tidying up the apartment, you took the opportunity to bake chocolate chip cookies in the kitchen. You always love to bake; especially at the Titan Book Cafe with Eiji giving you the permission to. Kazuma and Yamato sometimes watch you, your baking skills amazes them. Even Minato, Yamato’s younger brother, whom sometimes visits the cafe. 

While checking up on the tray of chocolate chip cookies, someone came knocking on your doorstep. Wondering who popped over and visited you this time. It was obvious; Eiji Arashiba came knocking down on your apartment door. He was suddenly out of breath leading you to wonder why he’s in that state of rush. “Eiji, is everything okay?” you asked, closing and locking the door after he came inside. Noticing the little over his forehead. 

Eiji didn’t abruptly think this through before going over to your place, his heart pounding in hopelessness as he hadn’t thought of a way to confess to her. No words were coming out directly from him. You stood there in front of Eiji with confusion written all over your face, “Eiji? You okay? What’s wrong with you?” 

“I-um…” Taking a slight pause, Eiji is trying to find the right words to say to you. Struggling terribly as he is very bad at this sort of thing. ‘Come on, just tell her already. Eiji Arashiba 

…Just tell her how you feel…JUST TELL HER ALREADY!’ Eiji battled with his mind, his face fueling up in a blushy colour of embarrassment. 

“Eiji?” Noticing the red on his cheeks, it was quite rare to see this sight of Eiji Arashiba. “Eiji, you’re acting very odd. Why the hell are you all red? What’s gotten into you?” 

Eiji smacked his forehead with the palm of his hand in a little sting of frustration but it wasn’t obviously directed to you, “I-I like you, (Y/n)...” There, he said it. Blinking your eyes in shock of wonder with red dotting on your cheeks, “W-what did you say?” You wanted him to repeat what he just said. 

He calmly took a breather before leaning in close, he held your hand and squeezed it. His blue orbs locking on you with that blissful gaze, your stomach swarming with butterflies, “I like you, (Y/n), a lot. I’m not very good at this stuff when it comes to relationships, romance, mushy stuff like that. I see you more than just a friend and ever since we’ve been frequently hanging out a lot…I really can’t help but…wanting to get together with…you.” 

You felt a splash of joy closing into your heart, feeling all this warmth just from his words. Without using words to answer his adorable confession, you gently cupped his face and kissed him. You pulled away and smiled at your success for making him blush, “Took your sweet ass time, mister.” 

Eiji looked like he was about to fall down, stunned by your action as he didn’t expect that kiss, “D-did you just kiss me, (Y/n)?” he inquired, acting dumbfounded. You warmed a smile across your face, “I did. I like you too, you know. For a while. I…didn’t know you felt the same way as me…” 

Without hesitation, he dragged you by the hand and kissed you, “I want to spend more time with you…if you’ll have me.” 

You buried your head into his chest as his arms closed in to hold you, his black leather jacket sleeves caressed against your clothing, “I would love that. How about we go on a picnic tomorrow in the park? 12pm? Sounds good?” 

“It’s a date.” Eiji smirked, holding you close as he kissed you affectionately. Checking the clock on your wall, you forgot to check the oven to see the cookies were done. Completely forgotten about them as you were too getting trapped into the romantic moment with Eiji, you rushed to the kitchen and shouted in a mix of frustration and embarrassment, “OH MY GOD, I FUCKING FORGOT ABOUT THE COOKIES!”

Eiji hilariously watched you scurried off to check on the cookies as they were already burnt, his nose picking up the smell of burnt chocolate chip cookies. He died in laughter, not knowing you would forget about them.

Do you know what hurts more than a breakup? 

When you start to think about the person you’ve been constantly spending the rest of your life with, making memories with them while they spoil you with the gifts and all that romantic stuff. Now those days are over. 

You and Eiji broke up due to personal reasons that can’t be fully explained because it’s just too much to put out since that day when you two parted ways right after Eiji passed on his Cerberus divine tattoo to that kid Yamato Kai and sort of ‘fake his death’ but that wasn’t the reason why you two broke off the relationship. It was never that. It’s complicated to say. You and Eiji had been together for four years during the Akatsuki conflict. You love each other so deeply the two of you were inseperable. You don’t even fight and yet Eiji allowed you to join his team Helios, he doesn’t care if you don’t fight or not. All he cares about is trying to spend some time with you when he wasn’t so busy with things in the Akatsuki Ward. 

Ever since Eiji Arashiba ‘came back from the dead’, the two of you gained the opportunity to talk in private on the rooftop. Kazuma and the others left you two in peace. The conversation was quite long, the day turned night with the little snap of heartbreak consuming over you. You felt heartbroken telling Eiji that you’re planning to leave Akatsuki and move back to Shibuya, your home. Moving back in with your grandparents, you contacted them before Eiji’s return. 

Eiji tried to conceal that stinging heartbreak when you told him that you’re leaving the town. You could see it right through his broken blue gaze. Not only was he visibly upset but you were too. A couple of months later, ever since you headed back to Shibuya to live with your grandparents, you constantly couldn’t seem to stop thinking about Eiji. All the memories flashing in your head, the times you’ve spent some time with him. Tore your heart apart. Every single night, you would cry dampening the pillow and keeping your cries quiet so your grandparents don’t hear you. They often wonder if you’re doing okay, worrying about your well-being completely. 

Wishing things were different with Eiji but it was far too late for that. Even so, everything won’t be the same as it was before. 

Wanting to be friends with your ex is not the thing you wanted. I mean, you could pretend but that will hurt you even more. Being around him and talking to him once again. If that happens, you know you will never be your full self around him. Your true self. Aching inside with a non-stop heartbreak, thinking about your first love. Everything hurts. Your silent sobs tearing your stomach, your whole entire body.  A river of salty tears falling down on your pale brown cheeks. You’re never going to love again. You promised yourself that you would never love anyone else. You loved Eiji Arashiba, you still love him…

Back in the Akatsuki Ward, things remained the same. Since Eiji was no longer Cerberus, he didn't do much besides managing the Titan cafe along with his best friend Kagami. He helps out Kazuma and Yamato sometimes but has been told not to overdo it since he no longer has a divine tattoo but honestly he’s not bothered by it. 

While Kagami is trying to put a stop to the magic bullet he shot Eiji with, Eiji goes out on the roof to get some air and to take a smoke. He wanted to be alone for a moment, smoking his cigarette as he puffed out a small mist in the air, thinking about that certain someone he can’t get his head out of. 

….He was actually thinking about you… 

Eiji tried so hard to forget about you but how can he? When you’re the only thing he ever thinks about….

Every sleepless night, he would often think about you. His memories with you flooding through his mind. You were the only person that truly makes him the happiest man alive. Eiji never had any room in his heart for romance and all that stuff. He was never personally interested in relationships  but that’s when he first met you. Everything changed, His whole life. 

Now…all those momentous days are over since you two went your own ways. Kazuma and Kagami would never try to forcefully get him to forget about you because they both know how much you mean to him. Yamato was the same, he also knows how much Eiji treasures you very much. 

Eiji will never love again. Not because you two broke up. He only has that special place in his heart for one single person. You. Never again will he ever fall in love. He doesn’t want to be with anyone new, someone that isn’t you. 

Same goes to you too, you’re never going to find love because you still love the man whom you will never be with again. You could wait for his love and he could do the same but knowing that it will never happen. 

With the cloudy dark skies shadowing over Eiji taking a long puff from his cigarette, he wondered if you’re eating well or have been doing okay while living with your grandparents. He missed having breakfast every single day with you, sometimes at Titan cafe or at home. He missed the feeling of you waking up first before him every morning. Giving you morning kisses and hugs, all that lovey dovey stuff. He misses you very terribly. 

A single tear dropped out from his eyes. Eiji rarely even cries. Normally he doesn’t like to show his true emotions around anyone he knows. Worrying that he might be judged for it. He’s always so aloof around people but he still takes pride in fighting for his loved ones. With or without Cerberus, he will never back down without a fight. 

Still willing to fight for you, even though you’re not with him anymore. He never stopped loving you, not even once. Eiji promised himself, only to himself, that he will never love anyone else. 

He loved you, he still loves you…

a/n - Okay I just want to apologize for not writing for a really long time. I've been lacking motivation to do one but not only that; I've been struggling with my mental health, losing my interest in doing things I love. Not eating enough and I'm trying so hard to work on my appetite.

“They will never learn, will they?” Kazuma folded his arms, a glare of annoyance expressing on his face. “Nope. Anyways, I’m going to head back home. Why don’t you two head back to the Titan cafe without me?” Eiji waved them off while walking off in a different direction. 

“Off to see (Y/n), I see.” Kagami appeared next to Kazuma, grinning, “Well, tell her we said ‘Hi.’” 

“Will do!” So Eiji left to go and see you at his apartment. As he arrived there, he suddenly noticed his door was slightly open. Along with that, he spotted a trail of red rose petals when he walked inside. A set of candles were placed on the counter and by the shelves. The Hero of Akatsuki usually enjoys Kazuma yelling at him for some reason. You would stand by and watch the little drama between the Arashiba brothers. Kagami and Banri would do the same too, covering their mouths as they released their little laughter of amusement at the two.

You accidentally bumped into the wall, her head nearly hit against it. The poor woman was running away from the Dusk soldiers. This started when you were heading to a convenience store to get some essentials. Then suddenly, those bastards who appeared to be soldiers from some kind of organization. Trying to flirt with you, touch you and stuff like that. It really triggered you off and this led to kicking one of them in the crotch. That’s what started this bloody dash and run. 

“Shit! Shit!” You cursed, your handbag hitting against your lower body as you ran. You dashed through the alleyway which it was a big fucking mistake that it led you to a dead end. “Fuck!” 

The Dusk soldiers cornered you, leaving no gap for you to escape, “You got nowhere to run, missy!” As they said with a cheeky laughter, coming closer to you. Just before you were about to launch your pocket knife from your bag, a mysterious young man swept in front, wielding two dual revolvers in his hands and there’s this strange-looking tattoo glowing on his backhand. 

“What is that?” You mumbled, blinking your eyes with your head tilted to the side, wondering what kind of tattoo that is. “I suggest you leave the poor lady alone, fellas. If you don’t, there will be hell to pay. You guys wouldn’t want that, would you?” He warned them with a cig between his lips. 

“It’s E-Eiji Arashiba! Kill him!” As they fired their guns, Eiji stood his ground and let the bullets head straight towards him. The tip of the bullets were crushed, they weren’t harming the man’s body. Which was strange… 

Is it because of that tattoo?

“What the-” you watched in awe as the man standing in front of you fought off the soldiers. My eyes follow the man’s incredible movements, taking every single one of them down. After he was done with these bastards, he made his way over to me putting his revolvers away in his holster. “Hey, you okay You hurt?” He asked, his cig letting out a smoke. 

“I-I’m fine..” You stuttered, looking upwards and downwards seeing no wounds on him. You began to ask him, “What the hell are you? Who were those guys and…are you even human?” Those questions you asked shocked him. He didn’t see this coming. Eiji gave a bitter smirk, his head tilted, “What? No thank you for saving your life? Also, you never actually heard of me?” 

You sighed, annoyed that he didn’t answer your questions, “No. I’ve just suddenly moved here from the city I no longer want to live in.” 

His eyes widened in surprise, “You’re not from around here?” 

“No.” You answered simply with a single word, “You haven’t answered my questions, who exactly are you?” 

Eiji motioned his hand to hold the cig, puffing out a smoke, “Eiji Arashiba, at your service. I’m the Hero Of Akatsuki. I’m a Scard.”

This is getting too much for you somehow, “A Scard? What the hell is that?” You wondered, hoping that he would respond to your question. He held up the back of his left hand, revealing his glowing divine tattoo. You gasped, its gleam shooting through your (e/c) eyes. “Your first time seeing a divine tattoo, huh?” Eiji put down his left hand, puffing out another smoke, “A Scard is a person who wields special abilities. Mine is ‘Cerberus’.” 

Cerberus? As in Greek Mythology, a gatekeeper to the Underworld?

“Right, okay..” you couldn’t find the right words to say for some reason. You gripped your hands on the strap of your handbag, your eyes somewhat moving away from him. Your body was shaking a bit. ‘Is this…nervousness? Is that what I’m feeling right now?’ You wondered in thought. 

 “What’s your name, pretty lady?” You realized you hadn’t introduced yourself to Eiji. “Oh. I’m (Y/n) (L/n)..” The nervousness in your body faded away. Why were you feeling nervous before?

“Well, since you’re new here. How about I show you around? Then afterwards…I will take you to Titan Cafe. Fun Fact; I’m the manager there.” Eiji grinned, offering to show you around the town. 

You shrugged your shoulders, you might as well since you don’t know the town very well, “S-sure, I see why not.” 

“Great, let’s go!”

There was a lot of stuff to take in when Eiji began to talk about what happened in Akatsuki four years ago. He mentioned three organizations that maintained some parts of the town. Helios, which Eiji is the leader of. Artemis, a young woman named Azuza Yuki leads it. And then there's the Public Security Bureau, Eiji mentioned this one person who works for the organization. That one exact person he dislikes very much. 

Eiji told you more about the Scards and everything as he showed you around the town. It looks completely empty in some way and somehow…miserable. It is a lawless zone after all. “Wow…a lot of things happened here, huh?” 

“Yep, a lot has changed since then. Hey, are you hungry?” Eiji asked, wondering if you want to eat something or not. “A bit, why?” You responded quickly. 

“How about we head over to Titan cafe? I will have my kid brother cook a nice meal for us, it will be on me.” How very thoughtful of him. To you, he doesn’t seem like a bad person at all. “Sure, I see why not. Also, you have a kid brother?” You asked in wonder. “Yeah, always yelling at me and stuff. I always have him cover for me whenever I’m out and about.” 

“So he has a bit of a temper?” 

Eiji chuckled, slipping his hands into his pockets, "Yeah, you could say that.”

“Well, hello there Eiji-boy!” You turned around to see who greeted Eiji. It was a man dressed in a blue uniform. A police officer. Eiji seemed unpleasant by his greeting, “Kouga, surprised to see you here.”  

“This man…is this the guy that Eiji mentioned to me about? The person he doesn’t like very much? So his name’s Kouga, huh..?” you thought to yourself, taking a quick glance at this man. 

Kouga took a sip of his coffee which seemed to be from a can, he then turned his face towards you, “Well, well…who’s this pretty little lady next to you?” He stepped closer to take a look at you. Before he goes any further, Eiji sweeps in front of you. Kouga was shocked by his action when he did that, “Oh? Is she your girlfriend or something, Eiji-boy?” 

You corrected him, “What?! No! We’re not-” your face turned into a deeply red hue. “Just ignore this jackass, (Y/n).” Eiji advised you, still blocking Kouta’s way so he doesn’t get any close to you. 

“Oh so your name is (Y/n)? Say…” Kouga inched his head to look over Eiji’s shoulder, taking a glance at you “You’re not from here, are you? I’ve never seen you around before…”

“I’ve just moved here so-” 

Kouga cut you off with a sly laugh, “No wonder. Eiji-boy is your tour guide, huh? You do know this is a lawless zone, right?” You can tell why Eiji dislikes him so much. Some nerve that guy has when he asks Eiji if you’re his girlfriend. “Yes I know. Eiji told me everything about this town and how you guys operate around here.” You stepped out from behind Eiji confidently. 

“Did he..” Kouga huffed, sending glaring daggers towards Eiji. His face softened a bit when he turned to look at you once more, “If I were you, pretty little lady…I would keep my distance from guys like him.” He started walking past you and Eiji with a can of coffee in his hand. Going farther down the pavement… 

You gruffed in annoyance at the sight of him, growing to dislike him right after you unexpectedly met in person, “What a jerk!” 

“That’s why I don’t like him. He annoys me. So, should we make our way to Titan cafe?” Eiji curved a smirk. 

You nodded in response, “Lead the way.”

“This is so good!” You ate the last piece of your meal. Eiji was quite glad that you enjoyed it. Oh yeah, you met his younger brother Kazuma. A bit grumpy at times but he will warm up to you eventually. And there’s this booknerd named Kagami, always sticking his nose in books. You and Eiji became friends very quickly, getting to know each other. 

“You live in a rich family?” asked Eiji in shock, even Kazuma and Kagami were surprised to hear this. You sighed, nodding your head slowly, “Yes. Honestly, it’s very depressing because…they never got the chance to spend more with me. Always busy with work and stuff like that. When I was four-five years old, they barely even spent time with me…” You took your sip of the coffee, with your face saddening, “Every night, I hear my parents arguing over money and shit as I sit in my fucking room crying. I hate being in a family that only cares about wealth. I just want a loving family that will always put their child first…” 

Kazuma and Kagami never knew you were going through that, Eiji was the same. Three of them stayed silent.  You realized that you were venting to them without noticing it, talking about how your family treated you. Heaving a sigh as you sipped the last liquid of your coffee, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to ruin the whole mood..” 

Eiji’s face softened, “Nah, it’s all good.” 

“Sounds like you were living a tough life…” Kagami flicked through the pages of the book he was reading. 

“The people I’ve met through different towns and cities already started calling me a fucking spoiled brat, a princess and such just because I was born in a family of wealth. They believe I am living such a comfortable life…” A spiral of anger grew in you, “They believe they’re entitled to judge me just because of where I’m from. Well…they’re fucking wrong.”

“That's why you decided to move here, isn’t it?” Kazuma asked, his arms folding. His expression seemed to be softening a little. Although, he didn’t say it towards you. He actually mistaken you as a spoiled brat since you were born in a rich family. Growing to regret calling you that. 

“Yeah, to get away from all that shit…” Even though Eiji told you he will buy you dinner, you slipped out your purse and put down the money on the counter. “I should go, I think I’ve overstayed my welcome..” You walked out of the book cafe with Eiji following you, “(Y/n), wait!”

“What is it, Eiji?” you asked in a firm tone, your head turning to face his direction as he rushed over to you. “It’s getting pretty dark out here, let me walk you home.” he offered. 

You gave a little shy smile, “Okay, I guess I wouldn’t mind a Hero of Akatsuki accompanying me home.” allowing him to tag along with you as you both walked down the empty pavement.

“Where the hell is my-Oh!” You accidentally dropped your keys on the floor while rummaging through your handbag. You were going to grab it until Eiji dug it into his hand, getting it for you “Here.” You motioned your hand to take it from him with a smile softening on your face. “Thanks.” 

You unlocked your door, walking inside. Holding the door half open to look at Eiji one last time, “Thanks for walking me back home and…for saving my life out there when those bastards were chasing after me.” 

Eiji shone a proud smile, “Don’t mention it. You know, you’re always welcome to come over to Titan Cafe. My kid brother and my friend seem to like you.” 

You giggled, “Your friend seemed alright with me but I’m not sure your younger brother. He doesn’t seem to like me very much by the looks of it.” 

“Kazuma will warm up to you eventually, he’s like that with everyone.” Eiji promised you. “Alright..it was..nice meeting you, Eiji.”

“You too. I hope I see you around, (Y/n).” With that, Eiji walked down the hallway, waving goodbye to you. “Night, Eiji..” You shut the door, locking it. You hang your handbag and your jacket, walking to your room. “Oh what a day..” you plopped yourself on the bed, looking up to the ceiling. “Eiji Arashiba, the Hero of Akatsuki, huh..?” you chuckled to yourself, a smile glowing on your lips, “He doesn’t appear to be a bad person…”

Six-seven months have passed since you moved into Akatsuki. You finally settled into a new life where you can just live peacefully without anyone you know bothering you. Especially your parents, they have been ringing you while you were making Akatsuki your new home. You avoided them and decided to not ring them back at all. They even sent you voicemails, bickering at you for not returning their calls. 

You decided to work at this bakery store and this old lady was actually nice to offer you to work there. It was the first time you ever worked. Never worked in your life since you came from a rich family. 

As you were settling into your new life, Eiji has been wanting to see you a lot. Had dinner with him, Kazuma and Kagami a few times. He took you to this park where not many kids were playing there. Just you and Eiji. You went to this swing with him offering to push you. You got off and accidentally almost tripped. Eiji was quick to catch you and pulled you up before you hit the ground. Your face inched close to his, your cheeks reddened visibly as your heart pumped up wildly. You moved away from him and thanked him in a mutter, it was clear enough for him to hear it. 

Not only YOU were blushing like a madwoman but he was too, surprisingly. He didn’t even realize how close his face was until now or probably he was just pretending to not notice it. Also, he found it adorable seeing you reacting like that. He thinks it’s cute. 

You waited outside for Eiji while he went to get a pack of cigs and other things in the shop. “Hello there, (Y/n),” That guy again. The one Eiji dislikes very much. “Kouga, what are you doing here?” you asked sternly. 

“Isn’t it obvious? To get some snacks from the shop..until I saw you standing outside.” Kouga walked up to you with a grin, “I’m surprised you’re not here with that Eiji boy.” 

“Actually, I am. I’m just waiting for him outside the store.” You said with a quick response. 

“Well, what do you know? Looks like you and Eiji got attached to each other. Not to mention the times you began to hang out with this Eiji boy more!” Kouga smirked with a sly expression, walking very close to you. 

Has this police officer been spying on you and Eiji?!

“You bas-” 

“I suggest you step the hell away from her, Kouga.” Eiji finally came out of the shop, lighting his cig as he put his lighter away in his pocket, glaring deeply towards the police officer. 

“Eiji..” you mumbled his name. Kouga turned to face him directly, “Eiji-boy, hey! I was just talking to your lady friend here.” the footsteps of Eiji walking over to you sounded angry, he grabbed your wrist, wanting to pull you away from him. Kouga laughed slyly towards his action, “Man! You do have a thing for her! I guess it must be true love…” 

You felt your heart beating as he said that out of the blue, you were about to speak up until Eiji stormed in front of him, “Shut the fuck up, Kouga. Get lost or I will beat the shit out of you.” his eyes blazing fire, the anger was consuming him. “Eiji..” you placed your hand onto his shoulder, pleading him to not cause a scene. 

Kouga backed off, laughing mischievously, “Alright, Eiji-boy, calm down. It’s not like I was going to cause her harm or anything. I must say, however, you seem to take a liking towards that little lady over there. I noticed you grew fond of her ever since she moved to this town. This friendship you have with her…it seems to be more than that, right?” he turned around and walked off instead of going to the store for some reason, “Let’s not cause a scene here, alright Eiji-boy? Especially with your so-called ‘lady friend’ here. Catch you later, Eiji-boy!” 

‘Thank god, he’s gone…’ that police officer was getting on your last nerve, not to mention he kept pissing Eiji off. 

You looked at Eiji with concern who had finally calmed down, moving your hand away from his shoulder, “Eiji…” 

Eiji sighed with a sign of annoyance over his face, puffing out a smoke from his cig, “I’m sorry you had to see that…” he apologized for his unquestionable behavior towards Kouga. “Hey, it’s okay. He was trying to set you off. Just ignore the nonsense he spilled.” 

Your heart rose up when Eiji’s face leaned in close to yours, a cig letting out a little mist of smoke between his fingers. A red hue blush appeared on your cold-smooth cheeks, “(Y/n), I….” he paused, struggling to find the words to say as his blue oceanic orbs gazed up on yours. His face was so close to yours and it looked like he was about to kiss you at that moment. 

He moved himself away from you, letting out a sigh and putting back the cig between his lips “Let’s go somewhere quiet.” Eiji walked off as you followed him, questioning about that moment when he motioned his face very close to you as he tried to tell you something. 

You sat down on the bench in the empty park, Eiji wasn’t making any eye contact with you, leading this to wondering what was on his mind. He hasn’t even said a word since you both arrived at the park. “Eiji, what’s up with you? You’ve been quiet ever since we bumped into Kouta. Does it have something to do with what he said?” You queried, wondering if it was because of that. 

Eiji sighed, standing up to take out his cig by stomping it on the ground, “Well, I can’t keep denying it any longer…” 

“Huh? What are you-” Your body trembled with fuzzy feelings around you, Eiji pulled you up from the bench with such a fast pace to touch your lips with his. His arms wrapped around your waist, deepening the kiss. He tasted like smoke but you don’t seem to mind it somehow. You didn’t want to pull away from this, you were too trapped in this feeling that seemed to take hold of you. It felt warm and…amazing, this feeling…

Eiji pulled away, his arms remained around your lower body. He finally spit it out, the sweet lovey dovey things he wanted to say to you before, “I like you, (Y/n), a lot. You’ve been constantly on my mind. You’re sweet and loving, you always know what to say when it comes to a very bad situation. You’re also very brave too. Damn…there’s a list of things I want to say about you, (Y/n), I just don’t know how to put it out.” 

His words melted into that sweet heart of yours, more warm feelings crawling upon it. You cupped that adorable face of his and kissed him back romantically, “It’s okay, Eiji. You don’t have to say anything more.”

“Wanna get out of here and have coffee at the Titan cafe?” 

“Eiji, are you asking me out on a date? At your place?” 

“I believe I am.” 

You pecked a quick kiss to his lips, your smile shining over him, “Then it’s a date.”

It drives you wild whenever Eiji leaves a trail of kisses on your neck, even a hickey. Kazuma had a bicker with his older brother at times, telling him off for doing it so openly in front of him. Poor Kagumi had to witness this, hiding his reddened face behind the pages of the book. Eiji carried you to his bedroom, laughing as Kazuma tsks and rolled his eyes in disgust. 

Eiji kicked his door to close and plopped you down on the bed, crawling onto you to tickle your neck with his kisses. “Gosh, Eiji! That tickles!” You died in laughter, kicking your small feet. 

“What? I can’t shower my girlfriend with all my love and affection?” Eiji continued to attack your neck with his smokey wet kisses. Your face drowned in joy, cheeks turning into a happy red faded colour. “I love to see you like this, babe.” Eiji pecked your lips, leaning his forehead against yours.

Oh how you love the sound of his sexy voice, making your tummy go all wild…

You cupped his face, inching yourself close to smash your lips towards his. You could taste the smoke across his lips, crawling down your tongue. You let out a low moan while Eiji’s lips were still on yours, feeling all the sensation flowing over your warming body. 

Eiji hoisted you up against the wall, your legs wrapped around his waist while you held his head. Deepening the kiss passionately. Eiji goes to your neck once again, sucking your skin as if he were kissing it intensely. You shrieked in small excitement, “E-Eiji..”

How lucky is Eiji Arashiba, the Hero Of Akatsuki, to have an amazing girlfriend like you in the whole world?

The two of you plopped on the bed, laying down next to each other with gazes wandering, “You’re so cute, you know that?” Says Eiji, squeezing your hand lovingly. His sky blue orbs locked on you. “I’m not cute.” Your cheeks are heated in a faded red hue.

“Yes, you are, my sweet cupcake.” Your boyfriend pinched your cheeks adorably. You faced the other way on the bed, covering your face in embarrassment as Eiji laughed at your cute reaction when he called you ‘sweet cupcake’. You turned to face him with that softening expression, your smile gleaming towards him. Eiji felt like he was seeing an angel right in front of him.

Eiji motioned his hand to the side of your face, his thumb caressing your cheek romantically. He leaned in to touch your lips with his. Your eyes closed slowly as he kissed you, tasting his breath of smoke. “I love you a lot, (Name). I am the luckiest man to have you. I can’t live without you.” Eiji professed, locking his gaze on you.  

“I love you too, Eiji. You mean a lot to me and I can’t live without you.” As you expressed, you held his hand and pecked a quick kiss on your boyfriend’s cheek, your eyes not even looking away from his dazzling gaze. 

He scooped closer to cuddle you, his arms crossed around you. 

“My sweet, adorable cupcake.” 

“My silly, charming dork.”
