A year in Boston!
Agak-agak unsettling tapi I did this to myself!
Adit mau kerja apa? Kita akan tinggal longterm dimana? Project riset aku seperti apa disini? Lingkungannya gimana? No idea at all.
Penasaran :)

AN INTRODUCTION TO BUDDHAVAMSA: CHRONICLE OF BUDDHAS - 02
Buddhavamsa, which is also known as the "Lineage of Buddhas" is composed in verse and describes the life of Lord Gautama Buddha as well as the lives of twenty four previous Samma Sambuddhas. The Buddha aspirant (Bodhisatva) has met them during the journey of four asankeyyas and one hundred thousand world cycles since making the aspiration to become a future Samma Sambuddha. All of those twenty four previous Sammã Sambuddhas have repeated the prediction that the Buddha aspirant will become a Samma Sambuddha named Gautama in the present existence.
According to the first chapter of the book, Buddhavamsa was preached by the Buddha in His home town of Kapilavatthu, which was visited by the Buddha during the second year after enlightenment. King Suddhodana, the father of the Buddha, who had not seen the Buddha for seven years, had sent messages on several occasions inviting the Buddha to visit Kapilavatthu. When the Buddha finally visited accompanied by 20,000 monks, the senior relatives of the Säkya clan refused to come and pay respect to the Buddha as the Buddha happened to be a junior member of their clan. It is said that in order to show the super normal powers of a Buddha, the Buddha created a jeweled walk in the sky on which the Buddha had walked up and down. On the same occasion, the Buddha has also performed what is known as the twin miracle (yamaka prâtihara) to impress and subdue the relatives. Following this performance, Arahant Sariputta has requested the Buddha to describe the Buddha's experiences with the previous Buddhas during the long journey as a Buddha aspirant (Bodhisatva); it was then that the Buddha narrated the verses in the Buddhavamsa. The delivery of Buddhavamsa has taken place in the great monastery in the Nigrodha Park (Nigrodharama) in Kapilavatthu, where the Buddha was residing at that time.
In 1882, Buddhavamsa was translated in to English by R. Morris for the Pali Text Society, London and in 1938, Law, BC, wrote the "The lineage of the Buddhas": The Minor Anthologies of the Pali Canon, London, Milford.
Bombay University Publications in Bombay, published "The lineage of the Buddhas" by Takin, MV, in 1969. The minor anthologies of the Pali canon: Buddhavamsa and Cariyapitaka by Horner, IB was published in 1975 by the Pali Text Society, London. A commentary on the Buddhavamsa named Madhuratthavilasini is believed to have been written by Buddhadatta Thera which was also translated by Horner, IB in 1978 as "The Clarifier of the Sweet Meaning".

Opening
Aamiin.
Mungkin itu dulu ya introduction dan openingnya. Nanti atau besok akan nulis lagi. Hmmm... aku pun penasaran apa yang akan aku tulis next time. Haha...

Eyris Interview
because I was tagged by the one and only @i-mybrunettelady, thank you .w.
OC Interview: Eyris
Draw (or use an old  drawing, don’t worry!) or take a screen of your character in an  interview setting and make them answer the following questions!
Me: it will be a quick sketch, just silhouettes or sth
Also me:
Tumblr media
INTRODUCTION
1. Can you introduce yourself?
"Hi. I'm Eyris. That's about it."
2. What is your gender identity, orientation and relationship status?
"I identify myself as a bi woman. When it comes to relationship...let's say it's complicated. Since I am constantly away, it's difficult to establish a solid relationship, at least for me."
3. Where and when were you born?
"Ah, it was so many moons ago. I awakened in the Grove, because, you know, I'm a sylvari? We don't really do the whole...birthing... stuff you fleshlings do. As for when... as I said, many moons ago, in year 1310 After Exodus. Which makes me 24 this year. If it weren't for Airell, I'd feel old. Lucky for me, he's ancient."
4. What is your weapon of choice and fighting style?
"I prefer to take down my enemies unseen and quietly. I either get in close with my trusty daggers or take them down with a bow and an arrow. I can also pack a punch. I might not be as strong as my friend Airell or my, uh...girlfriend? Freya, but I know how to deliver a good blow."
5. Lastly, are you happy?
"Happiness is subjective, you know that, right? But I'd say yes. I think?"
FAMILY AND FRIENDS
1. What’s your family like? What is your relationship with them?
"I...have never really had a family. The closest people to me are Aurene, Airell and Ewyn...huh, I guess you could say I consider them family... There's also Freya, of course."
2. Have you ever ran away from home?
"Just like I have never really had a family, I have never had a home. There were places I lived in, but...I never saw more to them than but a bunch of walls and a roof over my head... Home is where the heart, or in my sylvari case, rhuddin, is."
3. Would you consider marriage or having children?
"Do I look insane to you? I am in a complicated relationship with a woman and you're asking me about marriage and offspring? Honestly, you interviewers are the worst! I am not a good partner and Freya knows this. I never stay too long in one place, that alone crosses me off the list for a suitable partner to have offspring with, don't you think?"
4. Do you secretly hate one of your friends?
"That question is stupid. How can you be friends with someone and then hate them behind their back? You either are friends or enemies. Unless you're a filthy lying snake, like Countess Anise. Yes, you can publish that one."
5. Which friend knows everything about you?
"By default, Aurene. We're connected deeper than anyone can even think. Her heart and my rhuddin beat as one, we share feelings, and I mean it literally, and we can communicate through thoughts. Although, we don't do that too often, only when we need to keep things away from the commanders and their euntourage... But Freya, Airell and Ewyn know a lot about me, too, considering that, as mentioned before, they are my found family. I would trust them with my life."
ASKED BY FANS
1. Are you literate? Have you been to school?
"I'm a sylvari, you dolts. Of course I am literate and no, I have never been to school, thank all that's divine!"
2. The eeriest prediction you made that later came true?
"Weeeeell...I honestly don't know? Since I have been working alone for ages, I learnt to be observant and wary of my surroundings, so it's hard to say if I am predicting things, or just deducing... and here comes Rytlock Brimstone. Despite being an important figure in charr society, he is a loose cannon. We were in Orr, making a stand near the entrance to Arah and I almost died because of him. I made a remark on that and said that he would be the death of me at some point. Years later, I was brutally murdered because of him. How am I back? That is a very good question, I will not address that, thank you."
3. What is something you were embarrassingly late to realize?
"Not to toot my own Warbler, but-- no, I did not mean a bird, I meant a horn used by the Maguuman Hylek. As I was saying, I don't think I have ever been embarrassingly late to realize anything? I mean, I'm not Airell, I actually use my eyes and ears, and, unlike him, I only have two of each."
4. Do you have mental health or physical issues?
"I was burnt alive. Does that answer your question?"
5. What is your current main goal?
"Unlike seemingly everyone, I do not have goals. I might be a Soundless, but I still follow some of Ventari's teachings, one of them being where life goes - so, too, should you. Currently, I am by Aurene's side, I choose to be by her, and I will follow her to the Mists and back. I think that's the closest to a goal I have.
CHOICES
1. Drink or food?
"Drink. Sometimes food is scarce, but you can survive without it as long as you have liquids with you... I really like strawberry tart, though. Ewyn and Airell make great tarts, I strongly recommend to visit their stall during some festival held around the Grove and Astorea."
2. Cats or dogs?
"I...In my whole life I have faced various difficult choices and decisions that I had to make, and yet, this one is the worst. So, I shall say both. Both is good."
3. Early bird or night owl?
I am a nightbloom. I am a night owl by default.
4. Optimist or pessimist?
"Realist. Optimistic and pessimistic outlooks affect judgement, and nobody can survive in bad conditions with bad judgement. Let's take the simple "half a glass of water" into consideration. Optimist will say that the flask is half full, but the word full makes you think that you have more than you actually have. You might make a bad call when rationizing your water, and then you end up with nothing before you find a water source. Pessimist will say the flask is half empty, so they will scarecely drink, and in the end they will dehydrate faster, which will affect their wellbeing and affect their efficiency, which also might affect how fast they will reach a water source. Realists will see that there is half a flask, so they will calculate how much they can drink to keep their mind clear and have the water for as long as needed... You there, interviewer? Or did I lose you?"
5. Sassy or sarcastic?
"Uh...as in, which one am I? or which one do I prefer in people? If the first one, I think I'm sarcastic? And the latter... Both? I think? Depends on the people, really. Some people are bearable, some are not, and depending on that their sassiness or sarcasm has any or no effect on me."
HAVE YOU EVER
1. Been caught sneaking out?
"Yes, in my earliest years. Nowadays I seem to simply disappear. Commander Stoneshire- I mean, commander deSol, I can't get used to the fact that she got married, that wretch of a woman... anyway, she hates me for sneaking out unnoticed. That....and for many other things, actually. She hates me in general. Hate is mutual."
2. Broke a bone?
More than once. Unfortunately.
3. Received flowers?
No, never. I don't really get any gifts, you know. And I do not count the flowers I got when I was working undercover for the Order of Whispers. They were not real gifts, not for me, but for the people I pretended to be.
4. Ghosted someone?
"Oh, yes. Some people do not take "I don't want to talk to you" for an answer. And if ghosting doesn't help, an arrow in the head solves the issue."
5. Pretended to laugh at a joke you didn’t get?
"Yes. Commander deSol's husband tells horrible jokes. Think dad jokes, but not the ones you like, those you hate and that make you want to strangle the person saying them... but even worse. I think the worst one was when he asked who lived in a pineapple under a tree, and when people asked who he said that pineapples don't grow on trees. Does that even make any sense? No. It does not. And that man is a father of two right now. I feel so bad for his children."
~
And now, oh boy, the tagging time!

Tadi habis meeting via Zoom dan pas meeting ditutup, temen wa bilang:
“Kamu semakin INFJ“
“Eh?“
...
Kita mungkin terbiasa berpikir satu arah saja.
“Kalau saya pengen bikin kamu seneng, saya harus mengikuti segala perkataan kamu“
Padahal nggak gitu. Setiap orang punya kehidupannya masing-masing.
Gue, dasarnya suka banget sama make up, suka pake baju berwarna cerah, enggak peduli kulit gue sawo mateng, suka selfie, suka pake rok karena feminim dst dst ~XD
Biarkan isi pikiran kita aja acak-acakan. Tapi schedule harus tetep rapi.
Gue sendiri meninggalkan komunitas kajian dulu bukan karena benci orang-orangnya. Gue cuma pengen bisa mengeksplore banyak hal tanpa perlu mengalami banyak gesekan. Berjalan berkelompok itu bukan untuk semua orang. Terlebih bagi introvert seperti gue.
Gue mungkin bisa banget ngobrol berjam-jam sama banyak orang. Beberapa kali gue ngopi sama temen sampe Starbucks tutup.
Kita memang perlu waras sesekali.
“Lu nyari makan dulu deh.
“Start to say no“
Semangat :))
...
“Apakah gue semakin INFJ?“

Doing that thing
OC Interview to procrastinate on work
Tumblr media
Introduction (IBS)
1. Can you introduce yourself? "Raziel, Uh... One of many commanders of the Pact." He scratches his head, trying to think of other things to say. "The love of my life calls me a salad sometimes. I'd rather be called a feast, but it'll work."
2. What is your gender identity, orientation and relationship "I think I'm a male. I've checked. I..." He looks over at the camera, smiling. "Used to like to tumble with anybody willing. But considering I have a partner now, I don't think she'd enjoy others joining us." 3. Where and when were you born? "28 years ago, in the Grove, supposedly of the Dusk cycle. Though I don't have the brains." 4. What is your weapon of choice and fighting style? "Right from the pod, I could feel the world hum and the tides scream at me. I studied basic elemental magic in the Grove, but travelled to Elona soon after. Picked up a sword and a dagger and they felt right to me. I'm..." He looks away for a few seconds, guilt gleaming. "I'm intensely reckless. I hope that I'm less now so, after everything that I've been through." 5. Lastly, are you happy? "I was born before being forced into the dragon wars, but... now... There's still a threat of them. I've been happy many times, but now it lasts longer with Serafin here." Family and Friends
1. What's your family like? What's your relationship with them? "The answer to that is intensely convoluted. The Pale Tree is my mother, but more of a symbol of guidance than anything. I was born with a pod-sister, her name was once Nyrene, but it's Nyfuse now. When people see me they think I'm loud. Then they meet my sister. Even if she's ridiculous, she's taken a liking to deceptions rather than elements." 2. Have you ever ran away from home? "The Grove is a beautiful and serene place." There's a sense of sarcasm to this. "But yes. Once. Next question."
3. Would you consider marriage or having children? "After the dragons are gone, then I'll consider everything else. And I need to have some secrets. But I can't have children. They scare me as well, so what's the point?" He looks at the camera, saw it shaking with laughter. "Next question." 4. Do you secretly hate one of your friends? "If I hated someone, they could tell. I could tell. I'm bad at lying." 5. Which friend knows everything about you? "Alfuse. My sister's lover is a spy, a thief, after all. But I've told him so many things even before they were together. And... Grayson Embersmith." He looks at the ground, ashamed. "Knew him for a majority of my life, before... Before Orr had happened." Asked by fans??
1. Are you literate? Have you been to school? "I can read and write and talk just as well as the next person. But the first two years of my life were hell, because words didn't sling together naturally for me. If the Priory counts as a school, sure, I've been to a school." 2. The eeriest prediction you made that later came true? "I told Embersmith that one of us would probably die in Arah. Or earlier. I thought it would be me." 3. What is something you were embarrassingly late to realize? "How much I hated to love Serafin. So many fine lines, and I thought with my 20 years of living I'd have figure out the difference. But she's still here. That's a good sign." 4. Do you have mental / physical issues? "I have a lot of scars from our Salvation raid. And a few mental issues. PTSD. That sort. I'd rather not think about it more than I have to. I think the worst memory I have was watching my sister get half-Branded, losing her sight a while back. And other things up there too. There's too much to talk about. Move on. Next question." His eyes are glazed with anger and sadness, hands fidgeting. 5. What is your current main goal? "To live. See the next day. Find rest in this turmoil and chaos. We're still waiting for news about the next dragon to kill." Choices!
1. Drinks or food? "I drink too much water. Maybe being an elementalist has something to do with that, I don't know." 2. Cats or dogs? "I love them both." His mouth tightens, his voice a whisper. "I like cats more." 3. Early bird or night owl? "I love both. I tend to see both. I may not have many brains, but I still have commands to dish out, and reports to check. But if anything, I like it when my dearest is up, and she's usually up late." His wooden skin glows with amber lines looking at whoever's holding the camera. 4. Optimist or pessimist? "I used to look at the world and all its problems and cruelty. After Arah... I'd rather look at the brighter things, see what I can get that's good to me. Embersmith would've wanted for me to look for good things after all." 5. Sassy or sarcastic? "It's all the sass. I am sass. Gotta be brash and bold and hot to be a commander, after all." Have you ever 1. Been caught sneaking out? "I hated night duty. Snuck out right at dusk with my friends and drink the night away. Always got yelled at when I came back to my post, saw a commander lose his mind after us leaving. Those were good times." 2. Broke a bone? "Yes. Tried to climb a tree drunk; broke my arm falling out. Tried to get a dolyak's hide and broke my ankle there. Lost my arm and a leg before. Got stabbed in the chest once too. All part of the job. Except the tree thing. Don't try to climb moving oakhearts while drunk. Awful idea." 3. Received flowers? "After Claw Island, I got flowers for respects to my mentor. I barely knew them, but she... was a very kind sylvari. And after Arah, for Embersmith. I hated getting those things. Didn't think I deserved to be there, after all, I played a part in their deaths." 4. Ghosted someone? "Once, when I was infused with too much magic. Sometimes being one of Aurene's champions causes me to lose control, usually after a nightmare. One time I tried casting a small curse to make someone's skin turn blue, but rather they turned transparent. We fixed it later though." 5. Pretended to laugh at a joke you didn't get "Too many times. Political parties are jokes. The real joke is when they go stumbling up to me when drunk and ask me why I'm drinking. They seem to misunderstand my age?" Whirrrr done ok bye

Introduction to Dhammapada - 02
The Pali word "Dhamma" seems to have several meanings such as the natural law, natural phenomena, objects of the mind, religious doctrines and specifically the Lord Gautama Buddha's teachings. The word "Pada" means path, step, word or the toot. so, the word Dhammapada has been described as the "Path of Righteousness". The Dhammapada containing a collection of the sayings of the Buddha in verse form, is one of the best known books in Buddhism familiar to almost all of the practising Buddhist disciples universally as well as to scholars who study the teachings of the Buddha.
During the lifetime of the Buddha and for three months after the Buddha's passing away, the verses uttered by the Buddha to different audiences were remembered and studied by the Buddhist disciples under the category of
"Gatha" (Verses), one of the nine categories of the Buddha's teaching named the nine-fold dispensation of the Buddha (navanga buddha sasana). In the first Buddhist council that was held three months after the passing away of the Buddha, five hundred enlightened monks (Arahants), assembled to collect and group all of the Buddha's teachings into the three baskets. The Buddha's sayings in verse form that were mostly delivered in different discourses, were collected together to form the book now known as the Dhammapada which was included in the collection of minor discourses named Khuddaka Nikaya. Following the first Buddhist council, different sections of the Buddha's teaching including the Dhammapada were allocated to groups of Buddhist monks to memorise and maintain through the oral tradition from generation to generation, until they were written down on palm leaves in Sri Lanka during the first century BC.

First Page - A Little Introduction
Woohoooo finally!
But, i think it’s not enough kalau cuma brisik di twitter.
Someone ever told me tentang 10 Seconds of Courage.
Pertama denger I laughed over it. Kaya buat apa sih, gak bakal ngaruh juga?
But damn, it works!
And it becomes my favorite spell ever after.
Enjoy this page of courage yang aku bikin di waktu senggang dan overthinking ku ya. Semua yang aku tulis disini butuh keberanian, tapi bukan berarti semuanya benar secara paten. Ambil baik dan buang buruknya.
Be wise, cheerio!

Kak, kenapa kok nggak nulis buku aja?
Tenang aja. Bukan buku introduction to algortihm kok 😂 Doain aja biar umur saya cukup buat nulis buku.
Pekerjaan utama saya tuh ngajar.

Iman Usman’s Secret Sauce and Some Lessons You Need to Remember
Assalamualaikum. Halo teman-teman!
So, let’s start!
Tumblr media
Alhamdulillah. Kemarin Sabtu, 30 Maret 2019 saya berkesempatan menghadiri Inauguration Day penerima #beasiswaimanusman bersama 16 orang lainnya.
Banget!
Sekarang pertanyaannya, apa aja sih kunci suksesnya Kak Iman sampe bisa merealisasikan impiannya?
1. Ketika suka sesuatu, kasih semua hati dan jiwa kita. Jangan setengah-setengah!
Kak Iman cerita, dulu jaman SMP suka banget sama Harry Potter. Saking sukanya, beliau sampe ikut semacam “Hogwarts online” gitu!
2. Challenge the Status Quo
Tapi, Kak Iman gak kalah sebelum perang. Beliau tetap daftar, meskipun panitia bilang beliau gak bakal bisa. Hasilnya?
3. Build and Mantain Relationship
Orang sering bilang, punya relasi itu penting banget. Tapi, kalo kata Kak Iman, punya relasi aja gak cukup! Dulu waktu ikut YLI (Young Leaders of Indonesia), kak Iman kenalan sama kak Belva Devara pertama kali. Gaada pikiran apapun waktu itu, hingga akhirnya beberapa tahun dari situ mereka berdua bekerja sama membangun Ruangguru. See? Meaningful relationship is much more important than just a relationship.
4. Stay True to Yourself, to Your Calling
Menurut saya, it’s totally okay to explore many things. Mumpung masih muda, galilah sebanyak-banyaknya pengalaman.
