Finally! Someone who doesn't hate M.K. from Into the Badlands! I had heard so many bad things about his character before I started watching, so I went in prepared to hate him, and then he became my favorite! I agree with all of your posts about him! He deserved so much better!

Ahahaha, MK was always my boy even when he went down a dark path. It was hurtful to watch because you see how misguided his anger is and how confused and upset he is by his circumstances. Every episode, I just hoped he’d be able to see who Sunny was to him and the fact that he is a father to an infant child and be able to let go of his revenge and have a whole TLOU2 situation. Tbh, it’s been a while since I’ve seen ITB and I never actually watched the finale. 😅 My endgame hope was that either Sunny would subdue him and he’d live indefinitely since the show was cancelled, or he’d have a breakthrough with his trauma and emotions and embrace Sunny as a victim of circumstance, slavery, and the fucked up apocalypse caste system he found himself in.

Sabine was getting tired. She had been running from stormtroopers for longer than expected. She really needed a escape plan, but the Ghost was off World. Sabine had been sent on mission alone, but now she needed help.

Up ahead she sees a cruiser being loaded up with passengers! There was Sabine’s perfect escape! She weaved herself through the crowd, smuggling herself on board!

I’ll just hide here until this cruiser lands *stuffs herself into a corner to hide herself*

It has been six years since Elizameera Daheer was forced to flee her home planet of Naboo and was left on the planet Batuu at thirteen years old with her younger brother Doloman. Their mother and father had left them there with the promise of returning for them and Elizameera still waits, living her life as a modest Xenolinguist to provide for herself and for her brother. It is the year 34 ABY and Elizameera still awaits her parents' return, hiding from a tyrannical organization called the First Order that rules the galaxy. Hidden on the planet D'Qar is the base of the Resistance, a partisan resistance movement against the First Order.

After she is separated from her brother, Elizameera searches desperately for help in finding him. Luckily, she comes in contact with Chandrila Starline, a spaceline who offers her shelter on their ship the Halcyon Starcruiser. With the First Order on her tail and her brother nowhere to be found, Elizameera has much to lose and must calculate every step that she takes with preciseness. Little does she know that accepting help from the Halcyon will change her life forever.

Stepping out out of the cruiser, she scanned the area for any signs of her parents.

Instead, she spotted Sabine.

CHARACTER ARC SUMMARY: Malipueri Xenos, commonly known as M.X., was a young man born in 19 ABY on the planet of NaJedha. When he was only two years old, his mother and father traveled to the lawless criminal-filled planet of Tatooine. They left him there in hopes that someone would find him and take care of him because they were afraid to take care of him themselves. A Sith Lord named Darth Hex disguised as a Jedi Master had convinced them that M.X. was dangerous and had power that was unable to be tamed. When M.X.’s parents left him on Tatooine, he unintentionally killed them with the power of the Force as they were leaving in their spaceship to go back to NaJedha, fueled by his anger and sadness at his parents' departure. He repressed the memory and Hex took him in as her own to turn him into a powerful Sith to use at her disposal, training him in the dark side of the Force. When M.X. turned eighteen years old, Hex gave him a mission to seek out a scavenger named Rey and kill her, and he accepted the task blindly without question.

On M.X.’s way to find Rey, he was caught in an asteroid field and crash landed on the planet D’Qar, where he was rescued by a kind young Jedi Padawan. He was touched by her kindness and formed a quick connection with her, only to discover that she was the Jedi who he was tasked to kill. M.X. became extremely conflicted the longer that he was undercover with the Resistance. He found himself falling deeply in love with Rey and was willing to go to great lengths to protect her, even if it meant disobeying Hex. When he began to question Hex, she manipulated his past memories to make him believe that Rey was the person who killed his parents, leading him to hate the woman who he had grown to love. In a battle against the Sith Lord Kylo Ren, during which M.X. and Rey were supposed to be fighting together, M.X. turned on a completely unaware Rey and accused her of killing his parents. Having a moment of sympathy, Kylo defended Rey and fought against M.X., cutting off his arm and leaving a permanent lightsaber scar on his cheek, knocking him unconscious afterwards. Kylo allowed Rey to escape, but Rey refused to leave M.X. and brought him with her as she left. He awoke in the medical bay at the Resistance base, realizing that he had been given a robotic prosthetic arm as a replacement for the one that he lost. Upon awaking, he tried to attack a heartbroken Rey again, leading to his imprisonment at the base.

Rey refused to give up on him. She tried to speak to him when he awoke and confessed her love for him, only for him to call her a liar. Despite this, she never gave up hope. General Leia Organa of the Resistance had hope for him as well, so she decided to take him under her wing and train him to control his dark power. M.X. decided to be compliant with Leia as an attempt to gain her trust and make his mission easier. Leia knew that M.X. had been manipulated and, in due time, he recovered, though the truth about his parents’ death was still repressed and he convinced himself that Hex killed them. As an act of revenge, M.X. decided that he wanted to train to be a Jedi, though overtime, he began to appreciate the teachings of the Jedi and truly wanted to become one. Hex, who loved M.X. like a son in her own twisted way, was devastated that he had betrayed her, so he was not safe from her wrath that was soon to come.

The following year, the galaxy was threatened by Sheev Palpatine, a former Sith Emperor who had been resurrected, and M.X. felt more determined than ever to protect Rey. After the threat was announced, Rey and her rebel friends traveled to the planet Passana to uncover a Sith Wayfinder, but M.X. had a feeling that he would jeopardize the mission if he tagged along, so he stayed at the base. While he was at the base, he dealt with his conflicting feelings. He was still recovering from years of trauma and brainwashing, and though Hex manipulated him, he was still attached to her and he still cared about her. Before Rey traveled to Exegol to confront Palpatine,

Some important notes about my slightly altered portrayal of M.K.!

- As I state in my introduction post, I strongly disagree with the way that the writers of Into the Badlands dealt with M.K.'s character. Therefore, he will be portrayed in a more heroic light than he is near the end of the series. To clarify, I am not changing his character. I am simply roleplaying shedding light onto some of his original actions that I believe were justified. There will be some dark aspects of his original character that I keep and I will also take some inspiration from Anakin Skywalker when it comes to M.K.'s darker side, but to put it simply, I will be ignoring the last season of Into the Badlands because I disagree with how M.K. was portrayed.

- My version of M.K. ends up with Tilda, unless there are any fan-made female characters out there who I think would work well with him. Please reach out to me if you have a female character who you believe would work well as M.K.'s significant other and we can discuss!

Hello! I am Layla and my main blog is @arabianflowers! This is a roleplay blog for the character M.K. from Into the Badlands! M.K. is my favorite character from the show and I hated how they treated his character by the end of it. In the show and outside of it, he was done wrong and deserved better. Therefore, I decided to do his character justice by creating this roleplay blog for him!

Character Arc Summary: Lianessa Sayfee was born to a human female named Lily Ru from the planet Naboo and a human male named Mobandai Majeef from the planet Pasher. Lily and Mobandai lived on the outskirts of the planet Yavin and were dedicated members of the Rebellion against the tyrannical Galactic Empire. Lily was an anonymous writer who wrote public works in favor of the rebellion that slandered the Empire’s name. She once wrote an article directly targeting Darth Vader, but was found out and executed six years after her daughter’s birth by the Sith Lord himself despite her husband’s and daughter’s efforts to protect her. After this incident, Vader made it his personal mission to hunt down and eliminate the rest of Lily’s family. Immediately following Lily’s death, Mobandai managed to escape with Lianessa and fly to Tatooine, the nearest planet. There, they were attacked by a vicious Krayte, but rescued by a farmer and Tatooine native named Owen Lars, who led them to his wife Beru and his young nephew Luke Skywalker. Lianessa befriended Luke. Thanks to Luke and his aunt and uncle, Lianessa and Mobandai were able to make contact with a group of rebels on the planet Scarif, who offered them refuge.
