Finally finished something that has been in my drafts for quite some time. I was listening to the Game of Thrones soundtrack and then this happened. Plus, I wanted an excuse to write Arabelle as a boss-ass lady and cold-blooded killer a-la Season 6 Cersei. Enjoy.

After the coup happened, it would only be a matter of time before the trials started. It was all a facade as the verdicts were already known but it was one Pryde had to play; after all, there were still many loyal to the former Supreme Leader and Grand Marshall, even after he made them “disappear”, and if he didn’t adhere, he’d lose support for his claim.

Lieutenant Mitaka’s trial had just finished. As the man was being dragged to the other side of the room to join the rest of the condemned, Pryde thought it a pity. The Lieutenant had always been a loyal, reliable man to the First Order; it was a shame that he refused continue to serve it. 

With Mitaka's trial finished, they now waited for the main event: the trial of the two children of the former leaders. They would be the final nail in the coffin, the trial to solidify his power. He had send a ship to get the two just before Mitaka’s trial and would be arriving shortly with them. Pryde smiled to himself; what beautiful irony that he would decide their fate on Arkanis. 

But time ticked by and no one came. No matter, Pryde thought, those children are notoriously difficult. But more time passed, and anxious murmuring began to echo through the chamber. The man reached through to his communicator and whispered harshly into it, where are they?

The response send a chill down his spine: we don’t know. We’ve lost contact with the Finalizer and the transport ship hasn’t returned.

Then, in the middle of the room, a hologram flickered to light, the hologram of a young woman with flaming red hair and dressed in a black First Order uniform; Pryde recognized her immediately: it was Arabelle. 

I’m afraid my brother and I will not be coming today, General. She said, mockingly. We are momentarily unavailable as we are reclaiming the ship. I wouldn’t bother, she said when Pryde stood up, the doors will be locked by now. You and your minions are not going anywhere. She said as she lifted her hand into the frame, Pryde immediately recognizing the object in her hand: a detonator. 

You were mad to think you stood a chance against the Hux-Ren family. Let this be a reminder to those who even dare to think they can cross us. And Mitaka, she continued, putting her thumb on the button, thank you for all your many years of service; my brother and I will never forget them.

Meanwhile, on the Finalizer, as their loyal soldiers stamped out the remaining supporters of Pryde, Arabelle and Ares stood on the bridge of the ship, smiling with glee as they watched the building on Arkanis containing their enemies disappear in an explosion.

Not ABO necessarily but I think we need cute: Ares and Arabelle have quite an age difference between them (day 10 or so). As such, Ares witnesses most of Arabelle’s milestones. Arabelle was slow to learn to walk. It worries Hux and Kylo but they’ve been told it’s nothing to worry about. So imagine, one day, they come home from a long day at work to find Ares trying to teach Arabelle to walk by laying Cheerios on a table 😂

This is adorable! Ares, as a ten year old boy, pretends that he isn’t interested in his boring baby sister but he’s the first to run to her when she wobbles over and he’s the first to get her favourite toy when she’s upset. He’s a good big brother!

And so he hears Daddy talking to Papa about how Arabelle hasn’t learned to walk yet. When Ares was this age, he’d taken his first steps months ago and could plod along unaided by now. Hux is worried that something is wrong but Kylo tells him not to worry, but Ares has already hatched a plan!!

Oh my gosh. What if it works? 😂

Kylux kid idea: Ares is an alpha and he’s quite a bit older than Arabelle, so he presented first. As a result of being an Alpha, he’s super protective of his sister which eventually leads him to think that Arabelle will be an omega. He is slightly pissed when she too presents as an Alpha

Ares and Arabelle are totally both alphas! With Ares presenting first, he thinks that Arabelle is going to be an omega when she’s older. It’s very rare for two siblings to be the same designation so maybe even Kylo and Hux think that little Arabelle will be a beta or an omega when she’s eventually old enough. And Ares is so protective of her, more so than most big brothers so they lean towards her being an omega. She loves to fall asleep whilst leaning on him and she always wants to play with him from the moment she wakes up.

And then, in her teens, she presents as an alpha. She’s headstrong and self-assured just like he is, they’re so similar! Ares is annoyed, wanting to be the one to protect his sibling and lead in their parents’ stead but now Arabelle wants to do all those things to. Maybe they start to clash a little bit? But when it comes down to it, they’re both very protective of each other.

Something I’ve never considered before: do Ares and Arabelle have official ranks within the Order? I doubt Hux would give them a free pass just because they’re his children (he had to work for his rank, why shouldn’t they). Arabelle I can see becoming head of the science department and an honorary lieutenant perhaps but Ares... I’m not sure.

I wouldn’t say that Hux would allow his kids to rise ranks just because of their bloodline. I don’t even think that the kids would be that interested in holding military rank? Much to Hux’s silent disappointment! Personally, I see Ares as more of a Force-wielder and wanting to focus on his powers and his lightsaber form, wanting to be the best Sith he can be—Kylo is so proud!

Whereas Arabelle would be a silent studier, always reading and learning new languages. She’s fluent in a tonne and has a natural flare for public speaking like Hux has. She’s still Force sensitive but doesn’t rely on her powers as much as her brother does...until something triggers her and she’s more powerful than him and Kylo put together.

Due to the response, I decided to write out the continuation of Ares and Cal as brothers (I was a bit mean to leave it at a cliffhanger). Plus, I realized too late that I had forgotten to add Arabelle into the mix; let’s just pretend she was away at a base in the previous post

When Cal opens his eyes again, Ares’ red lightsaber is only inches away from beheading him. He feels a sense of relief: his faith had not be misplaced. As Cal rises, Ares lowers his weapon.

Thank you for trusting me Cal says but Ares scoffs

Don’t think for a minute that I trust you. You tell the truth but truth does not buy trust. We’re related but for all I care, you're rebel scum. But, as much as I hate to say it, I need your help to save my parents. 

From there, they plan. What they decide is to pretend that Ares manages to capture Cal alive and then present him to Snoke. When the time was right, the two of them would strike and kill him and then release Kylo and Hux. After putting Cal in force-dampening cuffs (with a few wires pulled so it doesn’t actually dampen Cal’s force sensitivity), they make their way back to the Finalizer. 

They get back with little trouble and none of the officers or Stormtoopers bat an eye when Ares pulls Cal from his ship and starts to drag him in the direction of Snoke’s throne room. But before they make it, the two boys are suddenly dragged into an empty conference room. 

Ares is about to bark and cuss out the person when he realizes it was Arabelle, his sister, that had dragged him and Cal in. She and Ares begin to argue, Arabelle scolding her brother and discussing Cal (with Cal awkwardly standing nearby, probably thinking hello, I’m here too) while Ares defends the choices he made. When they finally cool down, Ares and Cal convince Arabelle to go along with their plan, knowing that her intelligence would come in handy in freeing their parents and defeating Snoke. 

Arabelle seems uncomfortable with the plan but eventually, with a little pushing from Ares, she agrees to help them. They continue to the throne room and Cal feels himself growing nervous. He’s nervous for the plan but more than anything, he’s nervous due to the possibility that he’ll be able to see his parents for the first time. For so long, they were only images, created in his mind from photos and stories But now, he had names, he had seen his parents in recent film stolen from the Order and they were here, on this ship. 

Only days ago, he had only his grandparents. Now, he had a father, mother and siblings. A full family

But could they truly be a family?

Cal’s mind wandering ends when the three of them step into the red room, Snoke seated on his throne, his guards ever present. 

When Snoke sees the three entering, he immediately begins to speak. He scolds Ares, saying he knew that he wouldn’t be able to kill Cal, but he is happy to see that Cal is still alive. And then Snoke elaborates on his plan, pulling Cal closer with the Force

While Ares was gone, Snoke had discovered Cal’s psychometry, his ability to acquire information about events or people when touching an object. Were Cal to join the Order, he would be a great asset. Snoke makes an offer to Cal to join the Order and use his powers to further its mission.

Cal refuses. 

So Snoke tries again but this time, he adds that, should Cal join, he’ll release his parents and he could finally be with his full family. 

Cal falters for a moment. Growing up, he had always wished he had gotten a chance to know his parents. He had always wanted siblings. He had imagined what his life would’ve been like had his parents stayed together, had his mother not turned. He had wanted it so much. So much. 

And yet...

No, Cal answers

We shall see. We shall see. Snoke says ominously as he reaches out his hand, using the Force to torture Cal. He howls in pain as Snoke says the pain will stop if he joins them. Cal falls to the floor when Snoke lowers his hand, giving his small moment of reprieve. Ares and Cal make eye contact and they both know. 

It is time.

Cal rises to his feet and stares Snoke directly in the eye

I’ll never join you.

He breaks his chains and pulls his lightsaber forth, ready to carry out the final phase of the plan. But before Cal can begin his attack, before he can even move, his body locks as the shock of a stun baton hits him. He falls to the floor and sees Ares fall too. Before his vision turns black, he sees Arabelle looking down at him, a stun baton in her hand.

Pranks

So, I sent @solohux a headcannon that Arabelle is hella smart and the moment I clicked send, this happened XD Enjoy!

"Ares, get down here; I need your help with something.” His sister’s comlink was turned off before Ares had even a chance to reply. He rolled his eyes but he quickly excused himself and headed in the direction of his sister’s lab; outside of their home quarters, it was the most likely place she would be.

Since the discovery of her technical prowess and knowledge rivalling that of their uncle, Arabelle had been the head of the science department as well as the genius behind every weapon and armor upgrade for the First Order; many times had her weaponry ensured victory for the Order.

As expected, when he entered his sister’s lab, she was busy at work, typing away on a pad, it no doubt filled with calculations and notes far beyond Ares’ comprehension. As he approached her, she briefly glanced up.

“Nice to see you visit me here for once.” She teased as she put the pad down.  

“Please, I see you here more than I do at home.” Ares scoffed

“Well, unlike some people I know, I have work to do.” She grinned at her brother and quickly turned to retrieve something nearby. “Not to mention, you like wasting time on missions and then leave me to clean up your mess. Here.” She handed him the hilt of one of his lightsabers. “There was quite a crack in there; a few more uses and the crystal would’ve been exposed and Force knows what would’ve happened. But it’s fixed now; it shouldn’t give you trouble anymore.”

“Thanks.” He clipped the saber to his belt before turning back to his sister. “So, what did you need my help with?” Arabelle motioned to her brother to follow her, leading him to a suit of Stormtrooper armor.

“I’ve been working on a new prototype for Leo that is less prone to damage and absorbs shock much better. I think I have it figured out but I need to run a few tests first.” She took a few steps back, pushing a few buttons on a bracelet she wore. “What I need you to do is kick it, as hard as you can.”

“You’re recording?” Ares inquired, pointing to her bracelet.

“For research purposes. I need to see how it responds to different types of damage.” Arabelle responded innocently. Ares raised an eyebrow in disbelief for a moment but positioned himself to kick the prototype. He swung his leg as hard as he could but the moment he made contact, he went flying back, his sister’s howling laughter echoing in his ears. He hit the floor and turned to his sister.

“Delete that footage!” Still laughing, she pushed a few buttons on her bracelet and walked to her brother and helped him up.

“You know that’s never gonna happen, right?” She laughed a little more while Ares rolled his eyes, although it was accompanied with a fond smile.

“I really hate you sometimes.”

Maybe Arabelle doesn't want to talk to Ares anymore, now that he is pregnant. Thanks to him every door is locked, every password has changed, nobody can use a spaceship without a special key. Their parents are afraid that Arabelle will do stupid things like her brother. And Leo is still hiding because the supreme leader and the general want to kill him.

Oh, Arabelle! Maybe she thought more of her brother than an accidental pregnancy and having a secret relationship? She thought that they were close, that they'd share everything but maybe she feels like she doesn't know him anymore. And as for Leo? Well, shit. He was so happy when Ares told him that they're pregnant but now reality has set in and there's an angry Supreme Leader & Grand Marshal who want to meet with him to discuss his relationship with their son. Leo is known in the stormtrooper ranks for his bravery but he's terrified now!!

Little sibling idea: before Leo, Ares was involved with someone else, who completely broke his heart. Of course, he tells Arabelle about his heartbreak and in the days that follow, he notices that the file of his former fling is missing and he seems to have completely disappeared from the ship. Ares goes to his sister to ask about it and she simply answers: “no one hurts my brother”

Arabelle isn't one to be messed with. She's the only one who can hurt her brother! And even then, she makes sure to make it up to him afterwards!!

Siblings

A rando short based off of @solohux‘s Arabelle and Ares ideas. Kinda wrote this on the spot so quality may not be fantastic but I hope you all enjoy nonetheless

Ares has always been very protective of Arabelle. He may act like he doesn’t like her at times but anyone that even looked at her the wrong way was bound to find himself in a lonely hallway with a hand around his throat. 

But, as with most siblings, he was not above teasing or even slightly blackmailing his sister and usually Arabelle retaliated with the same ferocity. 

As per usual, Ares was attending to his duties on the bridge. He may not have been the leader of the First Order yet but as it’s heir, he needed to prepare for his upcoming role. Arabelle normally came by halfway through the cycle. They would drink caf, talk and sometimes would try to help Ares with his work.

But she was late, which was unusual for her as she was as punctual as their father. He waited for a minute, then two but by five minutes, he turned on his heel and left the bridge. Using their connection with the force, he managed to follow her signature through the massive halls of the ship, it leading him to the door of a storage closet. 

Confused, he entered, only to find his sister kissing a man. He immediately recognized him to be Sergeant Jaymar Flucher but he didn’t fret on it long as the lovebirds had noticed him the moment he walked through the door. 

Arabelle appeared shocked for a moment but her gaze became fiery as she stepped away from the sergeant and went to her brother. 

“Don’t you dare tell our dads.” 

“And miss a chance for you to do my work and do anything and everything I say? No way.” Ares smirked. “This is going to be fun.” He snickered but Arabelle pointed threateningly at him. 

“Be careful who you try to blackmail, Ares. You never know who might be informed of your liaisons with a certain stormtrooper.” 

“How-“ His sister rolled her eyes. 

“Please, did you really think you could hide that from me? You’re not exactly subtle about it.” She took a deep breath, though her fiery gaze remained. “I’ll make this simple: I don’t rat you out and you don’t rat me out. Agreed?” 

“Fine.” Ares sneered. 

“Good.” Arabelle headed for the door but before walking out, she turned to her brother. “And don’t forget, of the two of us, you’re the one who will get into the most trouble for your dalliances. And,” she glanced at her sergeant, “please go easy on him.” With that, she left. the sergeant wanted to follow her but he was barely out the door when Ares roughly grabbed the collar of his shirt and slammed him against the wall. 

“You hurt my sister and I will skewer you on my lightsaber. Understand!?” The man nervously nodded and Ares released him, smirking as he scrambled to his feet and fled from the room.

I have new Arabelle headcannon: when she was younger, she spent a lot of her time with Techie who eagerly taught her everything he knew. Now as an adult, she is a technical genius and when the FO has a new weapon or new technology, odds are she was the one that created it.

Also, Ares is probably a tad jealous that his sister is so freaking smart

Yes, I love this idea! Techie taught her everything he knows about computers, coding and hacking but combined with her engineering lessons from Hux, she’s the best in the First Order. Hux and Kylo are very proud of her.

But yes, Ares is jealous of his sister’s intelligence and how their parents are really proud of her. Little does Ares know that Arabelle is jealous of him and his powers, his insane skills with two lightsabers. She wishes she could fight like him!l

At the dinner table Ares drinks a glass of water and Arabelle start to bark like a dog. Ares has to hold his laugh. This blackmailing goes too far. When he takes his napkin she says "Ares is a king." Ares drinks again and Arabelle begins to bark. After a few times Hux knows something is up with his children. "ENOUGH! You two are going to tell me what's going on here!" Arabelle breaks and starts to cry. She tells the truth to her parents.

I have no idea why she’s barking 😂 Just because Ares told her to? Or is there some significance?

Anyway! His blackmail would definitely make Arabelle cry eventually. I’m certain that Hux and Kylo would be super annoyed that Ares has been using Arabelle’s secret against her as blackmail. He’s only allowed to go that against enemies, not family!

Rando au I had for Arabelle and Ares: au where they’re twins and one is born deaf and the other is born blind

Does the Force become their aid? Do they help each other to overcome their limitations? Like Chirrut, I imagine that the blind ones has amazing combat skills because they use the Force to guide them! And the deaf one hears things that only extraordinary Force-sensitives hear.

Ares still doesn't trust his sister's boyfriend. Ares believes he uses her to be the next general.

I can totally imagine him to be super protective of Arabelle (side note, I headcanon that she's nicknamed 'Ell') so he definitely thinks that this Lieutenant is only using her to advance his career and eventually make General, one rank under Grand Marshall Hux.

Ell, however, is certain that her beloved boyfriend truly loves her. She can sense it in his mind with her powers but it isn't enough for Ares. Do you think he'd give the boyfriend a little bit of a 'talking to'? Perhaps in the interrogation chamber? Ares is THAT dramatic.

Oh!!! How about when Ares discovers Arabelle’s boyfriend and tries to blackmail her, Arabelle’s like “one word and I tell our dads about your favorite boy-toy in the stormtrooper regiment”

Tehe! That soon stops Ares's taunts! Maybe he thought that his sister didn't know about his stormtrooper boyfriend so he's incredibly shocked when she makes a comment about keeping quiet or else she'll make their parents AND Aunt Phasma aware of his relationship!!!

I was reading some Ares asks and now I’m in desperate need of Ares and Arabelle whopping ass together as badass siblings!

I know, right! I wholeheartedly agree! ❤️ Those Hux-Ren siblings would be unstoppable! Maybe Ares would be stronger with the Force but Arabelle would be stronger with a lightsaber? So their weaknesses are the other's strength.

Finally Arabelle is born. She is a beautiful baby. Ares and Arild want to protect their sister. If someone wants to visit to see the new baby, the boys almost attack the visitor. "Stay away from our sister!" Mitaka almost drops the present for the baby. "Boys enough! You little rascals!" Ren grabs them and hold them under his arms. "It's okay Mitaka, you may enter."

Oh my goodness! 💕 The twins were so protective of Hux when he was pregnant and they’re just as protective of little Arabelle when she’s born! Hux and the newborn baby are in bed, with Hux sat up and holding her whilst she sleeps, and the boys are standing guard! Hux thinks it’s adorable how they’re fussing over their baby sister and he hopes that they’ll grow up to be close as teens and adults.

They run to the door when someone knocks, almost knocking each other over! Ares presses the ‘open’ button and he stands next to his twin, both of them stomping their feet and yelling for the visitor to go away! Their Mama and their sister need to rest and no one is going to go near them to hurt them!

Poor Mitaka! He nearly dropped the fruit basket for Hux and the box of goodies for the new little girl!

But luckily Kylo is there to intercept his sons’ before they can literally charge at poor Mitaka and tackle him to the ground. The boys fidget in Kylo’s arms and try to wriggle free to attack Mitaka but they can’t escape Kylo’s hold.

“Boys,” Kylo sighs, rolling his eyes. He puts them both down and kneels down to their level. “You have to stop this.“

“But the new baby is only little,” Ares says. “She can’t fight for herself!

“Yeah, Papa. What if someone wants to hurt her like people wanna hurt you and Mama?” Ari asks.

“Then we’ll all be there to help,” Kylo takes the twins into his arms and hugs them. “But you know that Mitaka and the rest of Mama’s officers haven’t come here to hurt the baby or your mother. They’re here to say hello to her, like you two did yesterday when she arrived.”

“But—”

“No, boys. Listen to me. We have to stop attacking Mama’s friends. Nothing is going to hurt Arabelle whilst we’re here. Alright?”

“Yes, Papa,” the twins say.

It’s only later that Kylo finds out that the corridor outside of their chambers is littered with threatening notes and drawings that Ares and Ari have created and stuck there!!
