Prythian Valley - the town with sparkle...prologue
Riverdale inspired fic.
I finally snapped and decided to post my Riverdale fanfic because Riverdale is my life and True essence of beauty and Darkest shade of blue is finishing. So....Enjoy!!!! (Let me know what you think) <3
The mesmerizing town of Prythian Valley, at one glance it would be the place of your dreams but take a step closer. The lies in this place are trapped so deeply, stories embedded in everyone's life so thoroughly it leaves the word 'facade' meaningless. Why you ask? what is this beautiful town hiding? Two murders in one week. The first one a cheerleader: Clare Beddor. So how about we start with the police's persons of interest? To do that we need to go the cafeteria of Velaris high.
Person of interest #1: Amarantha Hybern. Can't really show her because she's the second victim that died and even though she has a case of her own in the Clare Beddor case she's the prime suspect. Motive? Amarantha's sister Clythia was Jurian (a minor jock) 's side chick, and just as he promised her he'd tell the whole school about them he fucked it up and had sex with Clare Beddor in the market parking lot. After that Clythia went a bit...mental, shall we say. Clythia is now in a psychiatric home and Amarantha swore she would get revenge for her. And...that's about it for Clare's case, because after Amarantha died the police had found evidence to prove that Clare Beddor had accidentally fallen into the river and no matter how weak it was, they believed it.
So moving onto Amarantha's case where there are many persons of interests.
Person of interest #1: that girl over there surrounded by her friends, sitting on the table with the 'V H' cheer leading outfit, Nesta Archeron. The rich ice princess of Velaris High, top pf the elite pyramid, from here she doesn't really look like her best friend died in the summer, does she?
But mention Clare's name in front of her and you'll be mauled. Now the thing about her is you either love her, hate her, or secretly love her. there is no in between. Now she has a tragic past, after her father and mother divorced she moved with her mother to LA and the divorce agreement gave her mom Adelaide Archeron 50% of his money, but fate was cruel so when her mom was on trial for fraud she had to be dependent on her baby sister's boyfriend to give her money which they insulted her for to the pint where they got controlling so Nesta stayed in LA while her sisters moved with their boyfriends but after their father dies leaving his property with Nesta, their mother decides to get away from LA and the press, the trials and the online trolls. And when she stepped foot in Velaris High...the elite pyramid shook. And at Amarantha's tryouts where the ice princess showed her razzle dazzle she confirmed her spot on the Velaris Heathens, therefore knocking herself up the elite pyramid and shoving in the face of her baby sister. Now what has Miss Perfect got to do with Amarantha? See, when the death of Clare and then the death of Amarantha was announced, Velaris high split into three about Nesta Archeron: 1) the people who think she did it to because she was the vice captain of the cheer leading team and killing Amarantha would make her captain 2) the people who think she did it for Clare Beddor, her best friend and teammate 3) the people who didn't think she did it at all.
But she is the first of many: Person of interest #2: the freckled newly placed sophomore kissing the dark haired boy against her locker, Feyre Archeron. and the boy she's kissing is Rhysand Narenz a Junior. But do they care? nope. And before you ask yes, she's the 'baby sister' that tried to control Nesta and yes she does have a bit of a god complex because her boyfriend is rich and yes her whole ass friendship group does, but that's not the point. Now why would she want to kill Amarantha? Well, before Rhysand, Feyre used to date Tamlin Primavera and Amarantha had an obsession with Tamlin which led her to take a more... sexually harassing approach to him and she also had dirt on Rhysand which meant she kept him as a side dick to amp up her popularity and please Tamlin. who detested Rhysand but Tamlin was too dimwitted to care apparently because he didn't care what she was doing as long as Feyre was kept safe. And by 'safe' I mean controlled and kept like an animal. No wonder she dumped him.
Persons of interests #3 and #4: Rhysand Narenz and Tamlin Primavera. (the latter of whom was seething at the couple) Because of the Amarantha's...behavior towards them, obviously.
Now the spotlight on theses persons of interest are toned down because they're mostly just revenge seeking members of the main suspects groups: Minor persons of interests: #1: Cassian Narenz, (the male staring at Nesta) a senior, Rhysand's adoptive brother, who has a not so secret attraction to Nesta, your ideal jock and a loyal friend to Rhysand, but is that enough to be cosindered a suspect in either cases? #2: Elain Archeron, (sitting in between Azriel and Cassian) a nature loving senior that believes in astrology and fate, also she was Clare Beddor's childhood friend. #3: Azriel Narenz, the second adopted brother and Elain's boyfriend, also fiercely loyal. #4: Morrigan Narenz,(Texting Feyre aggressively opposite Azriel) Rhysand's paternal cousin. #5: Amren Aquila, (dutifully ignoring everyone with her phone) Rhysand's childhood friend another fierce loyalist. #6: Eris Vanserra, (the ginger stallion with his head on Nesta’s lap) Nesta Archeron's platonic best friend, who hates Rhysand but loved Clare (as a friend) #7: Audrey Astor: (The girl showing Nesta the texts of her new boyfriend) Nesta's cousin and Clare's friend. #8: Luna Rhodes: (going through Nesta’s bag to find Nesta’s homework) Nesta's left hand, skeptical of everyone outside their group.
Unfortunately though, the police has already close this case, after evidence was shown to prove both murders was an accident. But the pupils of Velaris High know different, and even though the cases are closed the deaths of two cheerleaders hang over ever single person on this list. Only time will tell the difference it will make.

Wafatnya Panglima Terbaik Penakluk Konstantinopel
.
Kontributor : @farruq_1453
Gen Saladin | @gen.saladin | t.me/gensaladin
.
Kini jalan menuju Kota Roma tinggal setapak lagi.
.
.
Refrensi :
1. Muhammad Al-Fatih 1453 (Felix Y, Siauw)
2. The Grand Turk (John Freely)

Omgg I have so many questions abt Natasha but to begin with - 7,8, 16. 27 because I was always curious about her magic. And 29 - about that breakup... Sorry if it's too much and take as much time as you need, tbh I'd like to send you the whole list haha 🌸
YOU ARE TOO KIND and I am VERY embarrassed but thank you SO MUCH!!!!!!
7. Socioeconomic background – and how it affects their behaviour.
So, her family is pretty well off. Both sides. Her father’s side has sketchy kind of results of money, as no one can confirm or deny if they’re tied up with illegal business but they’re also involved with like advertising and music so who honestly knows. Natasha doesn’t question it, obviously, also because like the more she spends away from her dad and that home, it’s just not really her problem? At least that’s how she sees it (unfortunately). Does make travel easier for her though.
As for her mother’s side, the Urquhart family does well on their own, even without connections to other pureblood/halfblood families through marriages. The Urquhart family raises and trains Sainglens - which are slightly smaller Abraxans, with solid black coats similar to Friesians (I made them up for something ages ago but am still fond of them so they stay even though the idea doesnt count anymore lol). Even with like generous gifts from her grandparents on holidays and birthdays, Natasha was very comfortable.
In saying all that, it’s really obvious it does skew her kind of. Understanding. Of everything. Natasha can catch herself a lot before saying anything but sometimes it gets out. She can buy gifts, and eats well, dresses nice, in both muggle and wizard society. Can casually buy Charlie a new wand. She’s not quite that level of “what does one banana cost? $10?” but there are times when yeah, she lets the ball drop, and there’s a bit of ire. Money doesn’t buy her happiness, though. Aquila, her uncle, at least encourages regular donations and activities here and there to keep her grounded.
8. Their family house – how does it look like? What’s the interior like, is there garden outside? Trinkets, furniture, books?
The Rhodes family home consists of an apartment in Manhattan, that’s honestly a little isolating and cold, plus the family manor that’s outside the city limits, that is older than most people, and makes Natasha feel out of sorts. Both of her rooms in those places are actually surprisingly sparse, with the bare minimum of clothes, maybe a few plants, blue sheets on her bed. The walls have clear discolouration from posters being taken down, and some chips in the paint because of blutack.
The Urquhart manor is pretty much her home. Her room is bright yellow and open windows with a squishy old armchair in the corner that belonged to her great great grandmother. There’s a few bookcases shoved up against the walls, the red wood clashing with the white vanity sitting next to it, that’s covered in beaded jewellery and stickers and photos that are laughing and dancing. There’s a footstool that Natasha is pretty sure walks on it’s on when she’s not looking, and she’s got her posters there now, papering one whole wall. Stuff is hanging and there’s paper cranes flying around her ceiling and there’s so many little things to find, from the crystal ball to the little dog figurine to several brooms and exactly twelve pairs of odd socks lying on the ground.
16. What’s their taste like re: interior design, art, gadgets? If they have (had) money - antiques or modern design? Ikea or whatever? Art collecting, fashion, wine? Pokemon cards in the 90s?
Natasha is honestly pretty messy havoc with making things work if only because they have to exist. Her mother’s insistence on having minimalism didn’t take, because surprisingly it was her father who encouraged her to pick up and collect things, so she’s very fond of picking up rocks and feathers. As far as collecting goes… clothes, definitely. And magazines. Lots and lots of magazines.
27. MC’s magic – white, black or some shades of grey? Are they mainstream or do they push the envelope with niche stuff? Are they showy or subtle, systems oriented or intuitive? What’s their strong and weak points? Can they go wandless or wordless? Do they do tarot, divination or alchemy? NECROMANCY???
For the most part, Natasha has the white magic, except when its something like red sparks, of course. Very controlled and tight, however, with not overly large brushstrokes (thanks, Lyra). It works well for her, at least, because she isn’t throwing heaps of energy into her work either, so it gives her a little more stamina to work with too. Maybe it has her looking like she isn’t trying, which can be a serious downside when Natasha is seriously trying to duel, but people take it as her being slack.
Natasha likes the mainstream stuff, don’t get her wrong, but she completely has looked into other magics available. Whilst she’s not the most creative, or at least, not the most dedicated to creating, there have been a few spells made by her. Mostly in the form of waypoint stuff, just to help friends when exploring. Niche stuff that’s kind of whispered about, and she has delved into fancy hexes and jinxes that are frowned upon, especially some that were made by people unknown and just passed down through the years. Those are the showier magics though, the flashy bangs and noises that she gets into when she lets herself go. Which is why they’re very rare for her to perform, not because she can’t, but Natasha just hears her mother’s voice and disapproval.
She’s a strong dueller, by a long shot, with nice footwork and a good centre of balance. But she fights too tightly to her core. It can lead to her being exposed, especially if there is someone to defend. Suddenly having to throw out her barriers isn’t a strong suit, as Natasha has a long line of learning to defend number one, first. Not anyone else.
There are some things she can do wordlessly, but they’re more lower level charms. As for being wandless, she can’t do it. At all. Natasha relies on her wand like crazy as that focal point. If anything, the only thing she could potentially do wandless is legilimency, but that’s a stretch. I’ve said before that if someone is open with strong emotions, she can skim them, especially with eye contact. But when it’s the spell and actually directed vocally, it’s a helluva lot stronger. And divination runs through her blood. She jokingly makes up stuff to freak out Trelawny, but sometimes she’s honestly not wrong. On certain days it’s a sneaking suspicion. On others, a heavy dream that plays out part by part. Natasha tells only her great great grandmother, and no one else.
Don’t ask her to do potions. She’s absolutely shite at it. Charms and transfigurations are her strongest points, with defence against the dark arts pulling up the rear.
29. MC’s close people dynamics – it can be anything from aromantic soulmates to romantic dynamics, the special people for your MC and how these relationships change over time?
Bill is her life long nonromantic partner. Nothing will ever break them up. Ever. At one point, they joked about if they weren’t married by 30, they’d marry each other for tax benefits. Natasha is largely influenced by Bill, and doesn’t know who she would be without him. Even when Natasha seems to have disappeared from the world for a time, Bill always receives letters, updates. They keep in constant, almost regular, contact, and their letters are pages long, so that neither of them miss out on anything.
Penny is a very solid point of origin for Natasha. It might’ve taken a while for them to get to that point, but Penny is a hallmark in the history of Natasha. Since first meeting, it’s just been a solid friendship, with lots of tears and late nights and like Natasha is open with very few people, and even deeper again with others… but Penny knows her. They may mess around and Natasha might be her guinea pig for potions, but if you need to find out something about Natasha, where she is, what she’s doing? Penny. Find Penny.
Tulip is another unlikely friend. For the most part, they seem the opposites. Tulip comes across as the perfect, ambitious, conniving Slytherin, and Natasha the studious, wise, careful Ravenclaw. Tulip’s parents are law abiding, hard on everything, please follow suit. Natasha’s parents flaunt the law where they can, only encourage strictness when it comes to protecting oneself, but let Natasha grow. They have joked more than once that maybe they were switched at birth. They fit each other’s jigsaw pieces. Their rough edges match, forming a softness only they understand. They don’t really talk much, but honestly they don’t need to.
Talbott kind of influenced a shift in Natasha though. With him, not only did she awaken her animagus form, but it helped her reconcile a lot of her internal struggles with being in Slytherin, and who she should be as a person to her parents (especially so, when her form was that of a great eagle, which honestly broke her heart a lot more than she let on). Whilst they didn’t really solidify a friendship until later in their education, Natasha treasures Talbott. There might’ve always been a sneaking suspicion, of her telling herself to leap, but she doesn’t. Not that it stops them from being friends. Natasha made sure to friend Talbott hard.
And as for Charlie… it took a lot for them to get to a point, where they finally understood each other, and there wasn’t anymore confusion and stalled conversations and awkwardness. It took them breaking up more than once, going months without speaking, then spending a whirlwind six months together, but they got there. Charlie is her best friend, confidante, lover. Natasha doesn’t bother working out the math, of how they got from point a to point b, because it would be difficult to map out, let alone make people understand. Both her and Charlie are open, just as much as they are closed. Private people, who also crave a certain sort of company. And having to go from close quarter living, to their own spaces, letting themselves breathe, really helped. Might’ve helped them get level headed about what was actually happening, and how their lives crossed over.

Greetings in the matchless Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Topic: The Third Great Mission of Paul to the Gentiles – To Asia Minor– Ephesus (Part 1)!
Rhema Word : Acts 19:11-12 (NKJV) “Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.”
Let’s pray. Our Gracious Loving Father, thank You for giving us an opportunity to meditate Your Word today along with Your children who have been called to live a holy life Father. I commit everyone who are all meditating this message into Your mighty hand Father. Bless them and give them the oneness of Spirit and make their heart as a good land to receive each and every Word which is living and active Father. Thank You Holy Spirit for helping us to understand the in-depth treasure of Your Word and helping us to live a life as per Your Word Lord. We give all the Glory and Honour to You only Father. We pray in the mighty Name of Your beloved Son Jesus Christ. Amen.
According to Acts, Paul began his third missionary journey by travelling all around the region of Galatia and Phrygia to strengthen, teach and rebuke the believers. Paul then travelled to Ephesus, an important centre of early Christianity, and stayed there for almost three years, probably working there as a tentmaker, as he had done when he stayed in Corinth. He performed numerous miracles, healing people and casting out demons, and he apparently organized missionary activity in other regions. Paul left Ephesus after an attack from a local silversmith resulted in a pro-Artemis riot involving most of the city. During his stay in Ephesus, Paul wrote four letters to the church in Corinth. The Jerusalem Bible suggests that the letter to the church in Philippi was also written from Ephesus.
Paul went through Macedonia into Achaea [Acts 20:12] and stayed in Greece, probably Corinth, for three months [Acts 20:1–2] during 56–57 AD. Commentators generally agree that Paul dictated his Epistle to the Romans during this period. He then made ready to continue on to Syria, but he changed his plans and travelled back through Macedonia because of some Jews who had made a plot against him. In Romans 15:19 Paul wrote that he visited Illyricum, but he may have meant what would now be called Illyria Graeca, which was at that time a division of the Roman province of Macedonia. On their way back to Jerusalem, Paul and his companions visited other cities such as Philippi, Troas, Miletus, Rhodes, and Tyre. Paul finished his trip with a stop in Caesarea, where he and his companions stayed with Philip the Evangelist before finally arriving at Jerusalem [Acts 21:8–10] [21:15].
The passage in Acts of the Apostles Chapter 18 (v.23 -28) and Chapter 19 (v.1-20) gives a clear study on the picture of Paul’s ministry in Ephesus which zeroed on salvation and experienced revival. Ephesus is the city of the great trade centres of Asia. It sat at the mouth of the great river valley, Cayster, and was a fertile land. It was called the “Queen of Asia Minor”, “The Treasure House of Asia”, and “The Vanity Fair of Asia Minor”.
Let us try to understand the following with the help of Holy Spirit today:
1] Paul’s & Apollos’s Ministry – Preparing the Way:
2] Paul in Ephesus - Lessons on Salvation:
3] Paul in Ephesus - Lessons on Revival:
1] Paul’s & Apollos’s Ministry – Preparing the Way:
The Bible says in Acts 18: 23-28 “After he had spent some time there, he departed and went over the region of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples. Now a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man and mighty in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus. This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things of the Lord, though he knew only the baptism of John. So, he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately. And when he desired to cross to Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him; and when he arrived, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace; for he vigorously refuted the Jews publicly, showing from the Scriptures that Jesus is the Christ.”
(1.1) There were two great ministers of God, Paul and Apollos.
(i) The great minister was Paul, who is seen beginning his third great mission. The first leg of the journey was a revisit to all the churches in Galatia and Phrygia. Note two points:
(a) Paul was alone. So far we know, no one was travelling with him. This is symbolic of his faithfulness and commitment to the Lord’s call. Nothing could keep him from carrying out the Lord’s great mission (i) not even the comforts of a home and the love of dear friends (Antioch); (ii) not the dangerous trips into frontier areas like Lystra, Derbe, etc., and (iii) not having to travel and minister all alone.
(b) Paul’s purpose in revisiting the churches was not to socialize or to enjoy good Christian fellowship. Although he and the disciples would have a wonderful time together, Paul’s purpose was more specific: to strengthen the disciples in the Lord. Note: he had not seen them for many months. He loved them and longed to see them, but seeing and being with them was not enough for Paul. There was more to life than just socializing and fellowshipping together. He wanted them to grow in the Lord, to be strengthened in Him.
(ii) The great minister was Apollos. Apollos was a Jew born in Alexandria, one of the great cultural and educational cities of the ancient world. There were about one million Jews in Alexandria, which means Apollos was steeped in Jewish religion, tradition and Scripture. Somehow, he either came into contact with John the Baptist or with his message on the baptism of repentance. This simply means that he knew John’s declaration that Jesus was the Lamb of God. Yes, Apollos had learned the Old Testament Scriptures by memory and spent hours meditating on them. He understood and believed them, grasping the promises of the Messiah. Therefore, when he saw or heard the proclamation of John the Baptist, he was ready to receive promises of the Saviour and to proclaim them.
But Apollos knew (a) nothing about Jesus’ death and resurrection; (b) nothing of Jesus as Saviour; (c) nothing of the Holy Spirit coming to live within believers, empowering them to live righteously and to minister in power. This, of course, means that his message was “repentance only”, coming short of salvation in Christ Jesus. But note his sincerity and commitment and fervour to what he knew. He was totally committed to what he knew and God always honours those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).
(1.2) Zeal: The Strong disciple spoke with great fervour. The word “fervour” (zeon) means to be boiling, glowing, burning, passionate. His spirit was set aflame, filled with all fervency and zeal for God. He was burning with a holy fire to proclaim the glorious promise that Jesus is the promised Messiah, the Lamb of God.
Lesson: The strong disciple is fervent in Spirit. It is the command of the Lord.
That is why Paul says in Romans 12:11 “Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.”
Jesus said in John 4:34 “ My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.”
(1.3) Teaching: The strong disciple taught accurately, taught what he knew about Jesus. Yes, Apollos knew only the baptism of repentance declared by John the Baptist and he taught carefully and accurately (a) he was true to the Scripture, weighing carefully what they said; (b) he proclaimed what the Scriptures taught and all that they taught, not neglecting subjects his listeners might not like to hear and (c) he did not twist the Scriptures, adding to or taking away from them.
Apostle Paul while writing to Thessalonians in 1 Thessalonians 2:3-5 “For our exhortation did not come from error or uncleanness, nor was it in deceit. But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts. For neither at any time did we use flattering words, as you know, nor a cloak for covetousness—God is witness.”
Paul further says in Titus 2:1 “ But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine.”
(1.4) Boldness: The strong disciple spoke boldly. Apollos followed a long train of faithful witnesses who proclaimed the truth boldly. Boldness is an absolute essential for effective witnessing, both boldness in seeking the presence of the Lord and in facing the men of the world.
The Bible says in Acts 4:13 “When they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marvelled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.”
(1.5) Humility:
The Bible says in Acts 18:26 “So he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.”
The strong disciple was teachable, willing to be taught even by those of less learning. Apparently, Priscilla and Aquila heard Apollos preach in the synagogue service. They could tell him that he had not heard the full story of the gospel, so they took him aside to share the full message of the gospel with him. Note how humble and receptive Apollos was. There was no air of haughtiness, of being above others. The young servant of God – so well educated, so well versed in the Scriptures, so capable as a preacher, so highly esteemed – was willing to learn from any who would teach him, even from two lowly tentmakers.
(1.6) Faithful to his call: The Bible says in Acts 18:27-28 “And when he desired to cross to Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him; and when he arrived, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace; for he vigorously refuted the Jews publicly, showing from the Scriptures that Jesus is the Christ.”
The strong disciple is faithful to his call. Apollos was called to preach and evangelize; therefore, as soon as he had the full gospel, he was set afire and wanted to go to Corinth (Achaia) and share the gospel there. Apparently, he felt the Ephesian church was in excellent hands under the leadership of Priscilla and Aquila and he could be more useful elsewhere. The Ephesian church encouraged him, even writing a letter of recommendation for him to the church at Corinth (2 Cor.3:1).
Lesson: The point to note is the fire to reach the world for Christ that burned in Apollos. And just think, prior to this he did not even have the full message of Christ. What a dynamic example for us all.
(a) He burned to help and serve other believers. He believed them much, edifying, exhorting, watering what Paul had planted (1 Corinthians 3:6).
(b) He burned to reach out to the lost. The words used in this verse show how deeply he burned with the message of the Lord (i) the word “vigorously” means that he used the Scriptures with power, straining earnestly to prove that Jesus is the Christ, the true Messiah; (ii) the word “refuted” means confronted, argued down, refuted to the very last point, defeated in argument. And he did it publicly. But note: he was not using human reason to argue; he was using the Scripture. And his purpose was to prove that Jesus is the Messiah.
2] Paul in Ephesus - Lessons on Salvation:
The Bible says in Acts 19:1-10 “ And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” So, they said to him, “We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.” And he said to them, “Into what then were you baptized?” So, they said, “Into John’s baptism.” Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.” When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied. Now the men were about twelve in all. And he went into the synagogue and spoke boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading concerning the things of the kingdom of God. But when some were hardened and did not believe, but spoke evil of the Way before the multitude, he departed from them and withdrew the disciples, reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus. And this continued for two years, so that all who dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.”
Paul’s ministry in Ephesus was dramatic. It was a ministry that zeroed in on salvation and experienced revival.
(2.1) Paul arrived in Ephesus, but missed Apollos: Paul arrived in Ephesus, but Apollos had already left for Corinth. Therefore, the two men missed each other. When Priscilla and Aquila told Paul about Apollos, Paul’s heart must have leaped for joy, for another young man was on fire for Christ. Through the upcoming years Paul would learn to love the young man and to long for his companionship and ministry (1 Cor.16:12; Titus 3:13).
(2.2) Lessons on Salvation:
The passage in Acts 19:2-9 presents several important lessons on salvation. The lessons must be kept in mind as believers go about the task of proclaiming the glorious gospel of salvation:
(I) Salvation necessitates “full belief and the receiving of the Holy Spirit”. While ministering in Ephesus, Paul ran across twelve disciples who had no association with the church at Ephesus. They were either drifting or else were meeting for worship in another area of the city. They were just totally unknown to the church and to Priscilla and Aquila. In either case, Paul found them, and what results is one of the great lessons on salvation.
Note Paul’s question: The correct translation of the Greek is: “Did you receive the Holy Spirit, having believed”, or “Did you receive the Holy Spirit, when you believed?” They were the disciples of John the Baptist, Jewish proselytes, who were still looking for the coming of Messiah (Acts 19:2-4). They evidently were not Christian believers and their belief was incomplete. They believed what John had preached, that the Messiah was coming, but they did not know He had already come in the person of Jesus Christ. They had repented of sin as preached by John, but they had not yet received the saving presence of the Lord Jesus in their hearts and lives. The living presence and power of Christ in the Person of the Holy Spirit had not yet saved them.
Note: Paul did not degrade their incomplete faith. He did not rebuke them for not grasping the full message of John. He approached them in a positive manner. He pointed out that they had done well by repenting of sin, for John did proclaim the baptism of repentance. But John did something else: he proclaimed to the people that “they should believe in the one coming after him (John), that is , in Christ Jesus”.
When the twelve disciples heard this, they responded just as they should have: they believed (v.4), were baptized (v.5), and received the Holy Spirit (v.6). The Bible says in Acts 19:4-6 Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.” When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.”
Note three significant lessons:
Lesson 01: A person can repent and be baptized and still not have received Christ into his life and heart. He can confess Christ and still not have the Holy Spirit. When Paul looked at these men who professed to be disciples, he saw they were lacking something. The lack was visible, and he suspected what it was. They were not bearing the presence and fruit of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
Apostle Paul says in Ephesians 1:13-14 “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.”
Paul also says in 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 “Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.”
Paul further says in 2 Corinthians 5:5 “Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.”
Lesson 02: Belief can be incomplete. Note closely: these men believed in the coming of Messiah preached by John, and they had even repented and turned from their sin to God. But they still lacked the presence of Christ, that is, of the Holy Spirit in their lives. How many have changed their lives and are now living moral lives, but still have never accepted the truth of God’s Son:
(a) the truth of His coming to earth?
(b) the truth of His securing our righteousness by living a sinless life?
(c) the truth of His dying for our sins?
(d) the truth of His arising from the dead?
Note: salvation necessitates full belief, believing the truth that Jesus is the Son of God in the fullest sense of salvation.
Lesson 03: Note that these twelve were baptized twice. A believer is to be baptized after his conversion – in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
(II) Salvation necessitates a decision: a person either decides to accept Christ or else he automatically rejects Him. In the case of the audience who heard Paul, many rejected Christ. They just hardened their hearts and refused to believe. For three months Paul preached boldly in the synagogue of the Jews. Note four facts:
Fact 01: Paul argued about (dialegomenos) the gospel. Yes, he discussed the gospel, asking and answering questions, convincing all who were willing to be convinced.
Fact 02: He persuaded (peithon) men of the gospel.
Fact 03: Paul’s message concerned the Kingdom of God.
Fact 04: Many were obstinate and did not believe, being disobedient to the call of God to salvation. Note: (a) the word “obstinate” means to harden like a stone; to be unfeeling and difficult, standing in opposition; (b) the words “refused to believe” mean to be disobedient. Take note of this, for rejecting the gospel is not just unbelief, it is much worse – it is disobeying God. God demands that men believe in His Son Jesus Christ. Refusing to believe is outright disobedience, an affront to God, an act of rebellion and hostility against His commandment.
The Bible says in Acts 28:27 “For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.”
(III) Salvation necessitates the protection and growth of new converts. New converts have to be protected and developed. Therefore, when the Jews began to slander Christ and the way of salvation, Paul separated the believers from the synagogue. He secured a lecture hall in a school conducted by a man named Tyrannus. Note two points:
Point (i): Paul took the believers out of the synagogue with him. He began a separate church. Why? Because the synagogue was opposing the truth, threatening the faith and growth of the believers. He had to move out to protect the believers and to assure their growth in Christ. What courage! What a commitment to the needs of men and to the cause of Christ!
The Bible says in Acts 20:28 “Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.”
Apostle Paul, while writing to Timothy, says in 2 Timothy 4:2-3 “Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers.”
Point (ii): Paul was a man totally committed to helping believers and to reaching the lost. This is seen in the schedule he kept: (a) he worked in a secular employment in the morning hours up until 11 a.m. (Acts 20:34; 1 Cor.14:11-12); (b) he taught during the hours when Tyrannus was not using the school; (c) he taught in the homes of believers in the evenings (Acts 20:20-21,3). Yes, Paul literally laboured for the Lord day-and-night. All his energy, mind, body and soul were committed to the cause of Christ and His Kingdom.
Lesson: A pointed question that we need to ask ourselves and perhaps of one another is: Have we really given our lives to the Lord? Are we honestly committed to the Lord, labouring day-and-night?
3] Paul in Ephesus - Lessons on Revival:
The passage in Acts 19:10-20 presents several important lessons on revival. The lessons must be kept in mind as we are going to face the revival across globe before our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. Note Eight Lessons.
The Bible says in Acts 19:10-20 “And this continued for two years, so that all who dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks. Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds. Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totalled fifty thousand pieces of silver. So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.”
Lesson 01: The Word of the Lord was preached:
Paul preached and taught Word of God for two years in the school, and note the gospel spread all over Asia (modern day Asia Minor or more particularly, Turkey). Most likely the other six churches mentioned in Revelation Chapter 2-3 were founded at this time, as well as Colossae and Hieropolis (Col. 4:13). Yes, a true revival was taking place because:
(a) the servants of Christ preached the Word of the Lord, not their own ideas or philosophies;
(b) the servants of Christ were committed, completely sold out to Him and to the evangelizing of the world; and
(c) the servants of Christ did not just talk about reaching people for Christ; they actually reached out to all the area, went everywhere they could.
The Bible says in Acts 10:36 “The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ—He is Lord of all.”
Lesson 02: The extraordinary miracles of God:
Yes, the extraordinary miracles of God were seen. Note these were “extraordinary miracles” (dunameis ou tas tuchousas) – the phrase actually means two things:
(a) They were miracles, powers that were not regular happenings; powers that were not the day to day experiences of men.
(b) They were miracles that were extraordinary; miracles that were usually not seen; that were uncommon; that were usually not performed. Even the disciples had not witnessed such miracles, not on a regular basis.
Apparently what happened was this: Ephesus was a hotbed of the occult including all forms of spiritism, magic, superstition, and the black arts. The people were an emotional lot, sensual and easily moved to feelings and to belief in the magical. From all the evidence, the spectacular was necessary in order to get through to the people. As always, God does everything He can to reach people. Very simply stated, these “extraordinary miracles” show the great love and movement of God toward men (Acts 2:22-24).
The scene sees Paul working in the tentmaking shop, sweating and having to change his apron and headband (handkerchief) often. People apparently took the clothing to their sick loved ones. In touching the handkerchiefs, the faith of the sick in the God preached by Paul would be lifted to new highs, and God out of mercy would heal them.
As we know no piece of cloth or any other material thing has any virtue of its own. Only God has virtue within Himself. Therefore, the healing was done by God, not by Paul nor by a piece of cloth. We who genuinely believe in God must always be honest in dealing with God.
Since God is God (a) He has the right and power to do whatever He wills; (b) He is love and reaches out to save men in every way possible; (c) He knows when a person’s faith is true, when a person’s faith is really reaching up to be saved wholly, both spiritually and physically.
The Bible says in Matthew 19:26 “Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
“For nothing is impossible with God.” (Luke 1:37).
Lesson 03: False prophets were exposed (v.13-16):
This event graphically demonstrates how God exposes false prophets. Note this:
(a) Exorcists were common throughout the ancient world. Many were vagabonds, living as strolling gypsies. They lived a circus-type life, making a living off the superstitions of people. They felt that power lay in using the name of God is a formula. Jewish exorcists, of course, used the name of God Himself.
(b) These exorcists or priests were seven sons of either a Jewish high priest or a man closely connected with the high priestly family.
Note how degenerate and how far the family had forsaken the high calling of God. Priests were called by God to serve His people as priests. What a warning to every minister of the gospel! He can fall into a terrible degenerate state.
These priests used the name of Jesus over a demon-possessed man. The scene was dramatic as the demon used the voice of the man, rebuking the false prophets for using Jesus’ name against him. The evil spirit said he knew Jesus and Paul, but “who were they?” And he used the man to assault the false prophets for using the name of Jesus against him.
Note the point: a true revival, a true movement of God’s Spirit, will expose false prophets. False prophets confess Jesus and use His name in their work. But the power is not present, not the kind of power seen in true revival. A true movement of revival witnesses the power of God at work.
Lesson 04: Fear of God struck men’s hearts (v.17):
The fear of God struck men’s hearts and they were gripped with a sense of awe and reverence, of God’s power and demand for righteousness and of their need to walk righteously before God.
Jesus said in Matthew 10:28 “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
Apostle Peter says in 1 Peter 1:17-19 “And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”
Lesson 05: The name of the Lord Jesus was honoured:
The Bible says in Acts 19:17 “This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.”
Lesson 06: The conversion of many took place:
The Bible says in Acts 19:18 “And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds.”
Yes, many believed Jesus and openly confessed. Psalmist David says in Psalm 29:2 “Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.”
David further said in Psalm 34:3 “Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.”
Lesson 07: The burning of superstitious book took place:
The Bible says in Acts 19:19 “Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totalled fifty thousand pieces of silver.”
The burning of superstitious scrolls or books and charms took place. What an example! What would happen if all the occult and pornographic and harmful books and magazines, pamphlets and papers, pictures and films were destroyed? Note: they did not sell the items; they burned them. They did not want them in the hands of others because of their lies and degrading influence. Note also the great cost of all the items. A drachmas (silver coin) was one day’s wage, so fifty thousand pieces of sliver equalled fifty thousand working days or 137 years.
The Bible says in Matthew 21:12-13 “Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’
Lesson 08: The Word of God was spread mightily:
The Bible says in Acts 19:20 “So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.”
Yes, the Word of God was spread mightily, in strength and power, prevailing and triumphing over all.
Apostle Paul says in Romans 1:16 “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”
Paul further says in Thessalonians 2:13 “And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.”
The author of Hebrews says in 4:12 “For the Word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
Prophet Jeremiah said in Jeremiah 5:14 “Because the people have spoken these words, I will make My words in your mouth a fire and these people the wood it consumes.”
Let us introspect ourselves.
Shall we have the faithfulness and commitment to our Lord’s call like Paul?
Shall we always aim for strengthening believers in the Lord?
Shall we have our spirit be set aflame, filled with all fervency and zeal for God so as to proclaim the glorious promise that Jesus is the promised Messiah, the Lame of God?
Shall we teach the glorious gospel to the believers accurately and carefully?
Shall we proclaim the truth boldly?
Shall we have the willingness to learn even by those of less learning?
Are we having the fire being burned in us to reach the world for Christ at any cost?
Are we having the desire and passion to reach out the lost?
Shall we have the longing for being anointed by the Holy Spirit?
Have we really given our lives to the Lord?
Are we honestly committed to the Lord, labouring day-and-night?
Shall we preach only the Word of God and not our own philosophies?
Shall we be completely sold out to our Lord Jesus Christ and to the evangelizing of the world?
Shall we pray that the fear of God struck people’s hearts and they be gripped with a sense of awe and reverence of God’s power and demand for righteousness?
Shall we always long for the name of the Lord Jesus be honoured?
Shall we surrender ourselves to the mighty hand of our Lord Jesus Christ so as to be used by HIM mightily in the forthcoming revival which would take place before His second coming?
Let us Pray: Our Heavenly Gracious Father, we thank You for helping us to understand about “The Third Great Mission of Paul to the Gentiles – To Asia Minor– Ephesus” Father. Father, please help us to have the faithfulness and commitment to Your call, help us to always long for strengthening believers in You Father. Please help us to have our spirit be set aflame filled with all fervency and zeal for You Father so as to proclaim that Jesus is the promised Messiah Father. Father, please help us to teach the glorious gospel to the believers accurately and carefully and proclaim the truth boldly Father. Please help us to have the willingness to learn and have the fire being burned in us to reach the world for Your beloved Son Jesus Christ at any cost Father. Please help us to have the desire and passion to reach out the lost besides giving our lives to You Father honestly. Please help us to preach only Your Word and not our own philosophies and pray that the people’s hearts be gripped with a sense of awe and reverence of You Father and demand for righteousness. Please help us to surrender ourselves to Your mighty hands so as that You can use us mightily in the forthcoming revival which would take place before Your beloved Son Jesus Christ’s second coming Father. We give all praise, glory and honour to Your Holy Name. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
God bless you all.

i want to know about your jacob honestly ! 24, but i know it says one but PLEASE say more haha i love all your writing
you are TOO kind honestly alkjshdfkajh thank you... but okay okay hmm
asks here!
24. A headcanon about your Jacob?
Jacob was born in ‘63, two years before the statute was overturned. Out of wedlock, too, which was scandal on top of scandal, as Lyra was also getting herself quite integrated into no-maj society despite MACUSA telling her not to be and she was very, very close to being thrown in prison (or just sent back to the UK with no return entry available). So, on top of trying to inject herself into high society and quite literally picking up eligible bachelor Mr Richard Rhodes on her way, Jacob was raised in a very intense environment. Apple of his grandfather’s eye.
Once the statute was overturned, Lyra and Richard had a huge wedding, completely lavish and over the top, and Jacob was ring bearer. It was very cute. He had a little bow tie and everything.
Everyone thought he would be attending Ilvermorny, considering the larger part of his life was spent overseas. How Hogwarts got a letter to them remains a mystery, but it meant practically uprooting themselves, and settling back into a lifestyle Jacob wasn’t used to, and never quite got used to.
Honestly, no one knew what house Jacob was going to end up in. Whilst most of the family had still ended up Slytherin, there had been plenty of other houses present amongst their family tree. Lyra was a Ravenclaw, as was Aquila, Jacob’s uncle. But he was chosen for Slytherin, despite it all, much like his no-good grandfather.
Jacob was part of the Slug Club during his term at Hogwarts. Lyra was a part of it as well, even though Aquila never got the honour. Jacob would laugh it was nepotism, but he had almost earned the spot in his own right. Almost.
Played Quidditch for Slytherin, as Chaser. Potion whiz, amazing at Charms, Transfiguration, damn near anything he got his hands on, as well as being surprisingly kind and nice towards other students, despite his Slytherin colours. Jacob was incredibly popular - something that added to a larger portion of his peers also resenting him, for being a half-blood on top in a very tumultuous time for blood purity.
Hence why a lot of rumours of him joining Voldemort didn’t add up for those who knew him as nothing but kind and sweet, but those became popular beliefs.
Jacob attended the same time as Snape and the Marauders, albeit being a couple of years younger.
Always meant to open that snitch in his room. But who it was from is likely long gone, and Jacob knows its a little late for him to try again anyway.

natasha Facts™:
has subscriptions magazines, like trashy celebrity and fashion ones (witch weekly, spella weekly, the american charmer, the witch’s friend, spellbound, etc). has since she was in her early teens, keeps old editions.
endorses wonderwitch products hard. literally drops money backing it when she’s introduced to fred & george’s line. has three pygmy puffs, two pink, one purple, named kronos, atlas, and periwinkle.
her great-aunt vela urquhart played keeper for the holyhead harpies, and her uncle aquila plays chaser for the ballycastle bats. lots of her great-aunts/uncles and cousins are aurors, magical law enforcement or mediwizards, especially due to the war, having left previous careers that were also either to do with quidditch or breeding of magical creatures (notably for the urquhart family). there’s only one curse breaker in her family (great-uncle antares urquhart), one magizoologist (oriane selwyn (nee amell)) and one actress (phillipa graves (nee black)).
takes divination because she made a promise to her great-great grandmother, but she also gets a kick out of scaring trelawney with really great fake prophecies (especially when it means that class has to end early)
madam puddifoots tea shop is honestly one of the places she spends free weekends in hogsmeade at. you know when she’s in there because not many other dare to enter to find her.
may or may not have been involved in an incident where the previous slytherin captain fell off his broom at an early training, and natasha scooted on in as captain in her sixth year.
lyra, natasha’s mum and a number of her aunts and uncles and cousins were a part of the slug club, as was jacob. aquila, her mother’s brother thereby natasha’s uncle, didn’t quite get the ‘honour’
she’s a lot like her father, deep down. looks like him too, in the eyes.
her great uncle or cousin something removed or whatever, haytham black, married the infamous madame zabini. he died in ‘94 due to ‘natural causes’, which is considerably young for a wizard of his potential. no one could prove foul play. they had no children together, but the black family name in their line died with him.
she’s a stupid dumbass, who climbed the astronomy tower from the outside on a dare. you could dare her to swim the length of the black lake probably, if weighed in enough, despite her fear of water and drowning.
this also means she plays guinea pig for penny a lot, because the girl would be like ‘hey look i made a perfect draught of living death but i need to test it’ and natasha would be like ‘oh that’s my job right’ and rowan would be like ‘NO’. also she plays guinea pig because she’s quite frankly a little terrified of penny
one time her and barnaby tried to find out if they cast aguamenti ‘hard’ enough, if they could propel themselves into the air with water. yep.
very good at carrying a haughty air of indifference and smarts, but the reality is that she’s a thrill seeker, and really doesn’t have a look before you leap sense. like preparation sessions for anything is more her being held by the collar of her shirt and being forced to listen. why people follow her leadership is beyond her.
was supposed to be a ravenclaw. like knows it. and sometimes (a lot of the time) catches herself staring at the towers, knowing she should be up there. choosing slytherin to follow jacob’s footsteps was not her brightest decision, and it kind of haunts her a bit.
in saying that, jacob was the pretty boy jock who was great friends with everyone and popular and smart and everything people aspired to be. until he wasn’t. natasha isn't sure if her memories are just trying to remind her of good times, or just messing up what she hears as gossip with the reality, but the whiplash of jacob before and after hurts her. especially since she was barely ten or eleven (math bad) when it all happened. gets to a point where she isn't sure if she wants him back.
lyra seals jacob’s room in the manor. magically very very locked. when natasha finishes at hogwarts, she finally manages to tear the door down.
gets very very good at sneaking around the castle. she can’t help it, gets like manic energy late, yknow? and what better to shake it off than a walk around a creepy old castle. means that she’s found a lot of places to hide, however.
like she’s honestly not That Bad at spell creation, but she’s pretty blasé about it. the only spells she's created, or helped create, were really just to make sure charlie didnt die in the forest lmfao (like ad meridiem is a lighting/waypoint spell, generally utilised on carvings, so he doesnt lose his way). has made up a few hexes here and there though. flitwick is disappointed in her for the attitude though, and she doesnt like disappointing flitwick. that said, she COULD tell him about her charms, but that would mean admitting she knows charlie goes into the forest still and no one wants that conversation
she botched up dying her hair one time but keeps it that really bad not quite a dip dye just to annoy her mother
can’t tell if she actually went into the room of requirement or just a very quiet classroom. and will probably never know.
lets out a low whistle when entering a room she hasn’t been in before
sleeps with the curtain pulled on the right side of her room, which is her right if she was laying on her back, and mimics it with the beds at hogwarts, because that’s how she used to sleep back home in america
picks up random objects with not always the intention of keeping them, but the few she has she keeps on her person (currently: two smooth rocks, worn down by her running her thumb over them in times of stress, a locket missing its chain, a tarnished ring, several pressed flowers and a collection of shells)
while she’s half blooded, through marriage, a number of her extended families are related to other muggle families, pureblood families, or half blooded families.
religiously tells her father’s muggle family she’s a wizard, and proves it by balancing spoons on her forehead, pulling birds out of thin air, or ‘reading their palms/minds’. they think it’s great party tricks with the polite laughter of high society, but really it freaks them out a bit when she stops playing dumb and says something legit. (but then lyra says ‘natasha helene rhodes!’ in that voice and the game is up)
she’s fucking awful at potions. like hands down terrible. penny is literally carrying her through the most part of her education.
her owl is called fox because she thinks she’s funny, and she has a snake called marquis de sade, the third. it ate the second. she rescues it from a shelter, simply on the basis that it was taken from the apartment of some old lady. no one had seen the woman in weeks, the apartment was empty, and only the snake remained. freaky™
legend has it that her great great grandfather, before being burnt of the family tree, raided the family vault at gringotts. while his family claimed he stole, he was still technically a legal part of the family at the time, so nothing could be done. that said, no one quite knows where he put the money. the manor natasha grew up on, named urquhart manor, is actually very far away from where the urquhart family put down roots, and is where a majority of her family lives, or had lived, in their lives. it apparently just appeared one day on the cliff, and that’s the end of that story.
before the legilimency thing was a thing in game, i actually wrote something regarding it. lyra had a knee-jerk reaction to the letters sent home about natasha’s adventures, and spent the summer before her fifth year training her in legilimency and occlumency, alongside other family members. natasha’s ‘natural legilimens’ status is a stretch, as with eye contract, she can get a general read on emotion, plus bits and pieces on a general population of wizard kind. a stronger read on those younger and unawares of the art of occlumency, of course. and then an even stronger cast, provided she uses her wand, that actually gives her the ability to read memories.
