I'm just catching up with everything you wrote these last few weeks and let me tell you, THERE'S A LOT OF GOOD STUFF RIGHT THERE. But I've been thinking about the last chapter of Dead Disco A LOT. Everything was going fine until the end of the chapter 😭 when will these three get some rest? Just letting you know I will be thinking about Dead Disco for the rest of the week. I'm placing myself in Darling's shoes and imagining she's from another country and, besides how hard her situation is right now, adding the loneliness of being somewhere else that everyone you care about is right now, is something that's making me think a loooot.

I have these thoughts about Situationship Simon and Chef Reader that have been rattling inside my head for weeks AH And it's basically these two songs

I think that Promise is Reader when she told Simon they were done the first time, the one that was catastrophic and left us heartbroken. Even the lyrics are SO ON POINT

I am...honestly speechless. You've rendered me, the biggest chatterbox I know, absolutely speechless. But let me try to put words and sentences together.

First of all, Laufey is queen. I fucking love Laufey, and both your suggestions are 100% on point. Not only the lyrics, but also the vibes. I'm not a write-as-I-listen-to-music kind of person, but for me, the themes of the entire series are captured perfectly by Songbird (the OG, Christine McVie's version). I now have two more songs to add to that list, thank you!

The last two chapters are supposed to be mirror images of the other, Reader & Simon's versions of (kind of) the same event. I swore to myself that I would not write a single Simon POV chapter for this series, ever ever, mostly because this is supposed to Reader's story. Your story. Not his.

But, I realised what a disservice I would be doing if I didn't at least give Simon a chance to show what he feels. It changed nothing in the story itself, as you saw, but it's something (I hope).

Finally, thank you so much for your words. The fact that you think about my little story and these characters gives me a feeling in my chest I can't describe. Also he starts to mumble songs in bad Spanish--an idea @apuwu had talked with me over Discord before JKDJHDFJKFJH. My man is just vibing without knowing the grisly lyrics behind a seemingly happy tune

But you prefer not to tell him because he just looks so adorable mumbling it mindlessly while working <3333

He doesn't dance much bc his legs hurt if he keeps putting pressure on it during too long, but you can definitely coarse him into dancing one or two.

Otherwise he just likes to watch you dance, even if you don't really know how to/are a lil bit clumsy. You look very happy dancing with your family/friends that he gets smitten all over again

He's kinda scarred for life once he saw kids breaking a piñata during one of your nephews' birthdays & un bolo during a baptism (where the hosts throw money so the guests could pick it up) (iykyk)

He started to watch telenovelas by mistake. Like maybe you were watching one or just putting it like white background noise while doing something else.

And at first he was like 🙄🙄🙄 "if the characters would do X thing or Z, this problem would be easily resolved/this problem wouldn't exist", and you tell him that it is for the 💥d r a m a💥

As it happened to the best of us when you're hanging out in the living room and your mom is watching a telenovela---Viktor just gets HOOKED. He doesn't know when it happened or how but he is invested

Sometimes you arrive home from a date with your friends and find Viktor and Jayce watching a telenovela on the couch

He helps you make the Día de Muertos ofrenda <3333 he just loves to gets all craftsty and he's so interested about the concept that he even brings a photos of his passed family members. May even cook something they liked to put it in there alongisde yours :3

Thank you for the kind comments!! To answer this question, I'm gonna ask you to get on board with a conceit: Team Plasma is a new-age commune turned dangerous cult under the leadership of Ghetsis. With this in mind, I would argue that in N's absence, a religious schism occurs among Team Plasma members, and we see this happening in BW2. While N is a puppet leader/Ghetsis is the one that was really pulling the strings, it's pretty clear that a lot of Team Plasma members have faith in N's vision of the world. A majority of the Sages in the BW postgame talk about how they favor N's vision and BW2 is littered with NPCs that are ex-Plasma who still are trying to live under N's ideals. We see Ghetsis's Team Plasma, but we also see Anthea and Concordia at the center of the ex-plasma members who are trying to repent for their actions. I would argue that while N is off finding himself, Anthea and Concordia have taken over temporary leadership over the non-Ghetsis sect.

I also think it would be really funny for Anthea and Concordia to orchestrate transferring all of Ghetsis's assets into N's name. Ghetsis disappeared, oh no, what a tragedy. Time to get everything he owns into the name of his next-of-kin!!

(Off screen, a shadow triad member informs Ghetsis that his card has been declined.) As an aside, I dislike the idea of N as this permanent wanderer, if only because he's explicit about loving Unova and still wanting better equality between humans and pokemon. One of the greatest revenges he could have is to be wildly successful where Ghetsis was not - not as a tyrant but as a kind leader. With the amount of people who have faith in N's vision and Ghetsis's resources, I can imagine him setting up an Aether Foundation-esque society with the assistance of Anthea, Concordia, and the Sages that remained loyal. You know, philanthropy without the desire to destroy the whole region to be friends with a cool jellyfish.

Anthea and Concordia are stuck in a balancing act between two roles - the caretakers for a young "king" and adoptive older sisters, and neither is easy when your prophet-little brother is an ooga booga boy that is letting bug pokemon nest in his hair because they're his newest friends.

A/N: This piece is based off the above art (with the artists permission!). I saw this and just had to write a little osmething about it because I loved it so so much! Hope you all enjoy! Also I guess this could be considered an entry into @jayvikaugust​ although it is a week late haha.

The weather is unusually mild for this time of year, something that Viktor is silently thankful for.

The summers can be unbearable, the heat stifling, and the dust lying in a thin layer on just about everything in his clinic.

Today, however, it’s mild - the sun hidden by an abundance of clouds in the sky and the heat chased away by a cool breeze that flows through the open windows.

Viktor sighs as he shifts in his stool, scribbling down the name of another salve on the shelf in front of him.

Inventory.

A task that most people hate but he finds soothing. Cataloguing, counting, and labeling various medications, salves and other items necessary for one’s health and healing. Surgical supplies too - something he notes he’s running low on after a larger band of vaqueros had come through the town earlier this week.

His lips quirk upwards at the memory, the large group of companions reminding him of his very own vaquero who’s away on a longer cattle drive.

Jayce.

He still remembered when the large cowboy had stumbled into his clinic, barely standing if not for the two men supporting him on either side. All of them spewing Spanish, a language he just barely had a grasp on at the time.

Between stuttered questions that rolled awkwardly off his tongue and Jayce thankfully being lucid enough to speak for himself, he was able to piece together what was needed of him.

A bull, the largest out of the herd, had charged Jayce’s horse causing the mare to startle and toss the man from his saddle where he just barely managed to escape being eviscerated by the raging bull.

Barely, being the key word.

He hadn’t gotten out of the incident unscathed - leaving instead with a rather nasty gash on his side just below his ribs.

After ushering his companions out, Viktor had made quick work of the injury. Cleaning it up, stitching it, and giving very clear instructions to the cowboy to take it easy for the next few weeks until he comes back to have the stitches removed.

After that…he couldn’t get rid of him. Not that Viktor is complaining. Jayce has quickly become a pleasant constant in his life - a friendship that quickly turned into more, despite all of Viktor’s doubts that it could.

He sighs, a smile still on his face as he continues his list, noting that he will need to order more morphine as well.

The day passes slowly, only a few people stopping in to pick up basic medicines or for superficial wounds that take mere moments to tend to.

He finds himself slightly thankful when he hears the bell for only the fifth time that day, taking his cane in hand as he stands from the stool to greet whoever just entered the store.

However as he turns to face the door he stops short, lips splitting into a huge grin at the hulking form already striding across the clinic.

“Jayce-!”

His greeting is cut off as strong arms wrap around him, practically lifting him off the floor as he returns the gesture, his cane clattering to the floor as he’s supported by Jayce.

“Tu presencia me hacía mucha falta.” Jayce mumbles into his temple. “No deseo tener que hacer nuevamente un arreo tan prolongado”

Viktor smiles as the man continues mumbling in his native language. It’s something they’ve found they both love about one another. Jayce is always fascinated by Viktor’s mother tongue, always asking what certain words mean. And Viktor is the same, although he’s come to learn Spanish quite well since living in this town.

“I thought you were supposed to be gone for another week,” Viktor says, pulling away from Jayce when he allows it.

Jayces grin rivals his own, eyes crinkling at the corners and his scarred brown rising up in glee as he looks at his partner.

“The cattle cooperated surprisingly well this time around,” he says, shrugging his shoulders.

Viktor hums, finally taking a quick moment to drink his partner in, brows furrowing at what he sees.

Jayce is wearing the clothing typical of his profession - a white cotton shirt slightly dingy from the dust that clings to him. Dark denim pants tucked into his signature very worn brown boots that Viktor has tried time and again to convince him to replace, and to top it all off the wide brimmed cowboy hat to protect him from the sun.

That’s perhaps his favorite part, even if it does sometimes obscure Jayce’s eyes from his own.

Reaching up, Viktor taps the edge of Jayce’s hat affectionately, eyes searching hazel ones as he speaks.

“Did you come straight here after the job?” He asks, already knowing the answer from the dust coating his shoulders and face.

Jayce shrugs, cheeks growing darker under the layers of grit and sun kissed skin as he dips down to press another chaste kiss to his cheek.

“Te he extrañado. No quería esperar mucho más tiempo.”

Viktor laughs. “I missed you too.”

At his words, Jayce's smile turns into more of a smirk, mischief sparkling in his eyes.

“Good, because with the extra payment from the buyer for getting the cattle there a week early…me and the others decided to take some time off.” His voice softens as he speaks, watching Viktor for his reaction to the news.

Viktor doesn’t disappoint.

His lips part in surprise, eyes narrowed suspiciously. “Time off? Is that even possible in your profession?”

Jayce smiles. “We just made it possible. A whole month.”

At that, Viktor's eyes widen. “A month? Truly?”

Nodding, Jayce opens his mouth to speak but Viktor cuts him off, surging forward to capture his lips with his own.

Jayce responds in kind, wrapping hands around delicate hips just enough to hoist Viktor onto the countertop behind him.

Pulling away, Viktor tries to chastise the vaquero. “Jayce! Someone might walk in-“

“I flipped the sign.” He assures. “And locked the door.”

Rolling his eyes, Viktor reaches up to flick the brim of Jayces hat, forcing the object up and away from his face before wrapping his arms around broad shoulders.

“Be quick about it,” he says, “The clinic is still technically open for two more hours.”

Eyes lit up like a campfire Jayce dives right back in, warm lips capturing his own as he pulls him even closer.

Smiling into the kiss, Viktor can hardly find it in himself to be annoyed.

His cowboy is back safe, and that’s all that matters to him.

The headcanon for this art is that, being the Kazekage, Gaara can't really use his chakra most days, so he channels it into his plants before going to bed because it helps him sleep and makes them grow better.

Today was actually a better day for me. I got a lot more done today than I ever have in in the past two weeks... I think I’m hopefully over the worst part of my depressive state right now!
