Yesterday was all about #Cinna. 😊 I am trying to get him used to other people besides me. He does not trust other people easily and can be testy and defiant, but he’s not aggressive about it. I had Wendy come out to try to work with Cinna after I lunged him and had her work side by side with me. She was a trooper with his antics. He’s not mean about it, but he was definitely letting her know that he did not have to do anything for her. It’s going to take some work, but I’m sure over time this will get better too 💕 Finding the gaps in training and fixing them--it’s what we do and it makes a well-rounded safe horse. #applytoadopt #horseintraining #SafeHarbor #Nashville

We are struggling to find happiness today, but we must carry on with the work of rescue and our herd who needs us. We have so many wonderful horses who are still looking for their forever homes, and anxiously waiting for true love to find them--like #Savannah, our beautiful #TWH mare who has been in rescue for over a year. Guess who is a gelding? #Atticus had his danglyectomy yesterday. We also got a good look at his teeth.... Well, what there are of his teeth anyway. It looks like a missus kicked this loverboy in the mouth at some point, so getting a precise estimate is not quite possible, but we are estimating Atticus to be in the 18-22 year old range. He's actually doing great--learning to be ridden, and to trust humans all at once. Atticus is in full training with Perry Neal, and getting great foundations for his future. He won't be a child's #pony, and he'll need an all gelding home, but he is flashy and a beauty on the outside. She's a little girl in a great big world. #Pony #Isabella looks utterly adorable in her horse sized stall. This pony mare only has one eye, but it does not slow her down at all, and she has no spookiness associated with it. She may be differently abled, but in her mind she is as whole and sound as can be. #Isabella is working on ground work in her foster home, and she is going to make an amazing child's pony. #Dublin has had 2 months of #Hunter training, transitioned for 3 weeks to #Dressage training, and this week is going back to #Hunter to perfect his jump. This boy is super fancy. Jockey Club name is #CoolBuMoon with a pedigree that reads like racing royalty. He's a dream show horse for Hunters, Dressage, or #Eventing. He moves like a million bucks, and is limitless. Clean, will pass any pre-purchase exam, fully vetted, and ready to go. He's currently the crown jewel in our #AfterTheTrack retired racer retraining program, and will be adopted to a show home only. Please give a big warm welcome to #NEWARRIVALS #Beauty and #Darcy. They are both retired from Juro Stables Horseback Riding in Tennessee . Both girls require a little extra work to maintain their weight, and though they have wonderful temperaments and are very well trained, an intensive business riding environment was not right for them.
