lately ive been feeling kind of weird abt the grad school i chose to go to, because like. i clearly didnt act optimally here. i should have applid to phd programs instead of applying to masters programs and thena accepting the one that offered me a phd. or accepted the masters program from my undergrad, which was a really good school. but also, in undergrad i spent like all my time doing homework. i was stressed and lonely and cold. and like, if im getting a phd, thats a marathon not a sprint, right?, so yeah, im not feeling super challenged, and that sucks. but i think at somehting more hardcore, i would probably get burnt out. and right now im not feeling on the path to being burnt out. its pretty chill so far. so i think the big thing is just...if i want this to work out, if i want to achieve stuff here, im gonna have to be more self driven than i usually am, because this place wont push me. i struggle to push myself....also i might have to do some reading course or whatever to get the material i want. anyway. bluh. transferring isnt impossible which is agonizing to me. i kind of chose this place cuz i wanted to be close to my friends. which i am! but 1 moved away and now another in june is moving away. ill still be closer than i would be elsewhere but...still.

People who use it for themselves seem to be mostly hetero or bisexuals who are also "polyamorous" or something. fine, just leave us alone!

And like, honestly as much as I hate the word I wouldn’t even care if someone decided to call themselves that individually, like seriously whatever, but the people who use it ALWAYS have to stick it to everyone else? Like you can’t even respect the fact that other people don’t want it to be used to describe them? Using “queer” as an umbrella term is not only horrific because of the history of the word, it’s also really really selfish and unconsiderate towards anyone who doesn’t want it applid to them.

And yeah, it seems to be mostly non-gay people using it, it’s as if… they weren’t affected as much by the slur… wow… who’d have thought?
