The Mane Six Headcanons

-All of the Mane six were around the 17-18 age range at the start of the Daedalverse timeline (based on the fact they were in High School and had prom in Equestria Girls).

-Most of them have finished their apprenticeships- if not investigating higher learning like Twilight. Pinkie Pie is the exception, as she's completing her fourth apprenticeship with the Cakes.

-Ponyville is a small Town, so Apple Jack, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie knew of each other before Twilight Sparkle moved in, but only really found shared interests and got close through helping Twilight.

-Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash grew apart as fillies after Fluttershy moved to Ponyville to study animals. Cloudsdale Pegasi sent Rainbow to be a weather pony in hopes she'd gain some humility. Helping Twilight reminded them of why they were friends as kids.

-Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Apple Jack, and Pinkie Pie were all knighted after rewakening the Elements of Harmony. They were known as The Guardians of Harmony, and the first Knight titles given in nearly a thousand years of peace.

-As they expressed desires to continue mundane lives, Princess Celestia merely reported that the Knighthood had been created to protect Equestria from more danger like Nightmare Moon- but did not reveal their names to the public. Which is how they stayed unknown for so long.

-When Twilight ascended to Princesshood, she was given control of the Guardians. She decided not to add any creature in without unanimous vote by all the Knights.

-From the events in the series they slowly grew to be pretty well known individually - until becoming household names when their shared journal was published as a book.

Pinkie pie e a irmã mais velha extremamente hiperativa e energetica, desde seu nascimento ela já fazia palhaçadas ao redor do berço para faze-lo(a) sorrir e gargalhar com suas bobagens, sua boca não lhe permite ficar quieta então todos os pôneis de ponyville já sabem de sua existência, Pinkie praticamente e seu bobo da corte pessoal desde pequenino(a). Fluttershy como uma irmã mais velha costuma ser bastante calma, cuidadosa e maternal, ela sente uma extrema vontade de lhe guardar em suas asas e proteger seu (sua) s/n para o resto de sua vida. Os pôneis de Ponyville mal sabiam da existência de uma irmã mais nova na vida de Fluttershy, ela não contou para ninguém por timidez e preferiu guardar isto para si mesma, suas próprias amigas descobriram após um bom tempo e ficaram surpresas pela aparição repentina de um pequeno pônei na casa da Flutter. A relação de vocês duas e basicamente de uma mãe e uma filha, sua irmã mais velha lhe ajudando em todas as atividades escolares, lhe apresentando um novo animal de estimação para ensinar sobre cuidados ao próximo, contando histórias de bebê e cantarolando músicas de ninar.

Rainbow Dash 🌈

Rainbow Dash e a irmã radical que vai lhe ensinar esportes desde muito nova, não costuma ser muito responsável mas seu amor fraternal e grande, ela só não vai admitir isto para você por vergonha. Então ela vai te carregar em seu dorso e voar pelo céu o mais rápido que puder para impressiona-la e faze-la se divertir em sua presença, Rainbow também vai fazer arco-íris pelas nuvens para que s/n possa observar com grandes olhos chocados. Rainbow fez questão de segurar sua irmã mais nova e se exibir para os outros pôneis de suas capacidades radicais para alguém tão pequenino(a). Algumas brigas podem surgir aqui e ali com frequência por discordâncias ou opiniões diferentes sobre algo, mas no final as coisas se resolvem de maneira madura.

Pense nesta relação como a relação de Apple Jack e Apple bloom. Agora que Apple Jack tem duas irmãs mais novas terá mais trabalho a fazer, coisas amigáveis acontecem como competições simples, brincadeiras juntas na lama, pegando maçãs das árvores com a ajuda de sua irmã mais velha lhe segurando para o alto e pegadinhas com membros da família. Apple está te defendendo de tudo e qualquer coisa, seu instinto de sinceridade não lhe permite mentir sua preocupação contigo, então ela vai dizer o porquê esta lhe protegendo seja qual for o motivo, ela pode pensar que para a sua idade e apenas frágil e pode se machucar com qualquer coisa, então se precisar de qualquer ajuda de alguém competente e forte chame Apple!

Rarity e o tipo de irmã mais velha que gosta de te mimar a todo custo, costura roupas bonitas para você, compra comidas gostosas de seu gosto, faz maquiagem e noites de hidratação para pele, novelas bobas cliches todas as noites para a aproximação de vocês duas, diferentes penteados para o cabelo de cada uma, relaxamento da tarde bebendo uma bebida gelada em um dia quente enquanto fofocam sobre algumas coisas de seus dias. Quando Rarity esta fora para aventuras com suas amigas uma babá substitui seu lugar por tempo temporário. Sua irmã mais velha nunca a deixaria jogada para trás, ela esta lhe supervisionando de longe ou perguntando a babá se esta tudo sobre controle. Sua magia lhe permite animar s/n fazendo objetos voarem ou pegando coisas necessárias sem precisar andar até especifico local.

I also wanna start out by saying you don't have to agree with all my hcs n I don't mind other interpretations of these characters obviously, lmao

Tbh it's mainly just like random gay little hcs of mine, mainly surrounding the mane 6 being Poly, of course. I suppose it's technically one of my more fluid aus, as in not everything is honestly set in stone bc I can't decide if I want some of it to be darker or completely keep it more to Canon yet.

It's technically similar in some aspects to my Elements of Necessity Mane 6, just... a lot less horrible overall? Still not the the best ponies but also not the Worst like Necessity plans on being once I work on that again. (Especially w similarities w Twilight at least at first)

Despite shipping (almost) all of the mane 6 together (I just don't rlly see AJ n Pinkie as dating in any way, even if I don't entirely think they're actually related (I don't think they ever officially confirmed things in the show even later on so I could be wrong!)), my main fixation is on Dash x Pinkie x Shy and then also Twi x Rarity x Aj, and when talking to a friend I thought the concept of those two trios actually getting together first (and going through a semi-dramatic (kinda rivals in some cases) to friends to lovers thing and finally calming down then girls from both groups start falling for each other and it's chaos ALL OVER AGAIN!!!

Twilight is a lot more like ep 1 Twi (can u tell I loved that version of her) and she's not super social and when she is she can be rude (sometimes on purpose) and she's very work oriented and perfectionistic, even after she befriends the mane 6 in a similar way to the first ep, she doesn't do a super immediate flip and she doesn't ever entirely drop all of her more unsociable mannerisms because they are a part of her, she's not a total dick, but I like the thought that even people who don't socialize normally can be friends and have friendship!

Aj is a workaholic and kinda judgemental, especially if she doesn't really think somepony is as tough/mature/reliable as her, but she still tries to be polite because of how she was raised. A lot of those judgements normally happen when she feels like she's forced to interact with ponies who aren't relatives, (Rarity cough cough) but a lot of her judgements are because she forced herself to grow up fast and later on some of her frustrations turn out to be because she likes the others and not just bc she's annoyed.

Rarity is pretty much the same but even more slay serve dramatic queen in some aspects, she's actually pretty self conscious though, and for a while she's put herself in a creative rut because she feels ponies only want certain designs from her and she's scared to expand from that. (I wonder if 5 mares w different styles could help her out with that ;]) also kinda a workaholic.

Fluttershy is a EARTH PONY I do think unicorn Flutters is interesting but she's literally so earth pony coded idc!!! She's pretty much the same except a lot of her interactions (especially w Dash and Pinkie) are based on her admiration of them and then it becomes romantic over time. Similar with AJ and Rarity but in a kind of different way. With Twilight she actually relates to her social issues and ends up reaching out more when Twi is struggling to help her and the two of them get a bit of a bond sharing interests. Flutters also doesn't really care about getting messy and loves wilderness activities! The darkness is scary, but if she's scavenging in the day or sleeping in a tent she feels a lot safer, especially if she knows it's just some animals nearby (like a bear. And not a monster).

Pinkie is a pegasus like her Granny pie was because I said so, though she is the only one out of all her siblings to be one, (Maud, Lime, Marble, and Octavio), so she was actually raised on the ground, hence her hopping a lot of the time because it's like a middle ground for her! She's kinda mentally ill, and very ND obviously! She's been besties with Dash for AGES to the point Ponyville thinks they're gay before they even start dating (they don't say anything to be polite, Twilight is actually the one who says it out loud (she's still new) and it kicks off a "wait??? Do I like her??" For the two ponies who for the most part normally don't care about who they might like).

Dash is your local loser gamer boy but he's not only a boy she's also a girl (both states are masculine bc gender is a fuck!!!) She's still egotistical but a lot more aggressive in certain places too because of her own self consciousness issues. She's not diagnosed with ADHD but God he really needs to be! He actually deals more with storm clouds and the aftermath when it comes to weather! She's literally only been open with Pinkie about doing silly things like stimming for Ages bc she has a problem with admitting she may think she has anything. Kinda similar to how she ends up bonding w Twi over reading Daring-Do.

Idk if I've been too open about things but the base hcs for pronouns/Gender/etc for the mane 6 (at least in this au) are

Twilight - She/Her - Cis - Bisexual (She doesn't know it yet)

Rarity - She/Her, They/Them - Nonbinary (I can't decide exactly? Maybe a demigirl? Genderfluid? I'm unsure.) - Unlabeled

Apple Jack - She/Her - Cis - Sapphic (I'm not sure on anything for her yet I just know she deffo likes girls)

Fluttershy - She/Her, They/Them - Demigirl - Queer

Pinkie Pie - She/Her, They/Them, He/Him, It/Its, (Probably neos too) - Nonbinary (not really any solid gender identity but mainly goes as some form of a girl) - Pansexual

Rainbow Dash - He/Him, She/Her - Bigender (Male and Female Specifically) - She likes girls but she doesn't really care to label herself on specifics.

Ugh I haven’t watched MLP for a while so I don’t really know any of the newer characters very well, but I’ll try my best lol

Astarion would probably be Rarity. I they just give off those sassy “ew don’t touch me” kind of vibes. I can’t really explain things very well, but you get the idea.

I see Gale being more of a Twilight. They’re both very book-smart and know how to use magic pretty well. They’re also pretty much the mom of the group to make sure nobody does anything too stupid.

Halsin would probably be a less timid version of flutter shy. I don’t think I even need to explain this one.

Wyll would probably be Spike. I have no idea why or how, spike is just the first person I thought of when I was trying to find a match for Wyll.

Karlach I feel would probably be Apple Jack because they’re not afraid to get a little messy and they’re the strong ones who try to encourage their friends to keep moving.

I see Minthara being more of a Discord or Nightmare Moon when you first meet her, but again it’s been a few years so I probably don’t know what I’m talking about 😂

Shadowheart would probably be Luna. They just give off very similar energy, and they’re both “daughters of darkness.” I’ve always associated Shadowheart with the night.

Maybe Lae’zel would be more of a Sunset Shimmer before she decided to be nice. Idk maybe even Rainbow Dash???

Unfortunately that’s all I got because I’m currently on my evil run and ended up killing all the other companions, so…. My bad I’ll try to collect them all in my next run 💀

First Years (+ Ortho and Grim) Finding Your Diary

I've tried starting off with other headcanon ideas but then got all side tracked and lost focus. This idea came up randomly at work recently, so I figured I'd try that for the first set of headcanons I post on here!

Ace Trappola -

- This. Little. SHIT.

- He'll most likely randomly stumble across it after you accidentally left it somewhere, most likely in a class you both have or at his dorm.

- His first instinct is to open it and see who it belongs to only to find out it's your diary.

- ... Ohoho~ this is where the fun begins!

- Motherfucker reads the whole thing, zero hesitation after finding out it's your diary

- His eyes light up upon reading his name for the first time, only for it to be something like:

- "Ace Trappola is... weird."

- *insert first lyric of "You Give Love A Bad Name" here lmao*

- Then he reads on about your changing thoughts about him and boy is he ecstatic!

- He gets so lost into reading it he doesn't even notice when you return to pick up your forgotten diary and caught him reading it until he hears you calling for Riddle to use his signature spell on him.

- Poor bastard

Deuce Spade -

- I have this headcanon that Ace and Deuce like to pull little pranks on each other.

- One of the former's latest pranks involved switching the cover of a book that Deuce had to read for one of Trein's classes and the cover of your diary after he found out you'd left it in the library

- Oh how easily tricked Deuce can be sometimes....

- He obviously fell for it, not realizing his error until he was way too far into your diary to stop reading it.

- His thought process was as follows:

- "Well, that's cool and all, but what does this have to do with the history of magic?"

- "Wait shouldn't this be typed and not handwritten?"

- "Hey this looks like the Prefect's handwriting.... wait, this IS the Prefect's handwriting.... OH SHIT it's their diary!"

- Poor dude's face is BRIGHT red once he pieces it together

- Actually admits to reading it accidentally once you return to retrieve your diary, only to get teased by you and Ace for having read it

Jack Howl -

- Your diary cover and his notebook cover look similar to him.

- So after you go to look for a book in the library to help with the History of Magic project the two of you have, Jack prepares to take notes on the books you've found so far.

- He reads about three pages before realizing his mistake in grabbing your diary instead of his own notebook.

- And BOY is he absolutely mortified when he realizes-

- Now Jack has a bit of an internal conflict: he knows he messed up and accidentally read part of something that should remain private to you....

- ... BUT he also is too far invested in an entry about his dorm mates for him to just stop reading it.

- Against his better judgment, he continues to read your diary, his ears perking up and tail wagging when he comes across his own name for the first time.

- He's so entranced by your writing and a bit flustered upon reading the compliments you give him in the entry he's reading until...

- "Shishishishi~ you are NOT slick at all, Jack! What would the Prefect think when they find out you - of all people - read their diary?"

- Jack profusely apologizes to you once you return with Ruggie in front of you, almost crying from laughter at his dorm mate's embarrassment.

Epel Felmier -

- He's seen you carry your diary around before and during classes the two of you had together, but he always assumed it was just a sketchbook.

- He becomes a bit more suspicious when he tries to see what you're drawing, only for you to shield it from his prying eyes.

- Since then, Epel made it his mission to figure out what it was you were trying to hide from him.

- Until he overheard you shouting at Ace one time for reading your diary.

- Oh, so that's what that was....

- His temptations to read your diary overcame his fear of your reactions once he noticed you accidentally left it behind in his room one day.

- Epel beams with pride upon stumbling across his name for the first time, blushing when he comes across this gem:

- "I don't get why Vil always makes Epel hide his accent, I think it makes him more handsome than he already is!"

- His mind explodes as he reads that sentence over and over again, ecstatic until he's interrupted by...

- "Um... Epel? Why are rolling on the floor with my diary clutched to your chest?"

- Shit, he got caught.

Ortho Shroud -

- Your diary and one of Idia's sketchbooks look very similar to each other.

- Although Ortho can usually tell the difference between the two, he thought he'd stumbled across his brother's sketchbook not long after you'd headed back to Ramshackle from a long day of gaming with him.

- It only took him opening up to a random page to find writing that looked nothing like that of his big brother to realize his mistake.

- Poor boy nearly overheated with guilt and embarrassment once he figured out his error.

- Though he was tempted to read on, he thought it best to simply return your diary to you.

- Ortho apologizes profusely once he made it to Ramshackle and explained what had happened.

- Of course, it didn't take long for you to forgive and thank the ray of sunshine for returning your diary

Sebek Zigvolt -

- He first stumbled across the plain-looking journal after you left a sparring practice with him and Silver.

- Poor boy tried to return it, but didn't know who it belonged to.

- So what was the first thing Sebek decided to do? Open the journal to find out who the owner is of course!

- But with his thick fingers, he accidentally flips it open to a page in the middle, immediately finding a description of someone who sounds a lot like Malleus, but under the name "Hornton."

- Hm, what an odd name... but this "Hornton" fellow sounds as interesting as Waka Sama!

- He becomes so heavily invested in the entry he found, nearly losing his focus entirely until...

- "Sebek! I'm surprised at you! What are you thinking, reading the Prefect's diary so openly? Kheehehe~"

- "Master Lilia, it's not what you think! It's just a notebook left behind by... oh. Oh.... OH MY SEVENS, IT IS THEIR DIARY!"

- rip in peace to this sweet boy

- He has Silver go to return your diary to you as he's too embarrassed to do so himself lol

Grim -

- Oh, if you thought Ace was bad after he got a hold of your diary...

- Grim is at least 1,000 times worse

- Not only has this little asshole read your diary cover to cover many times,...

- ... he also came up with the BRILLIANT idea to use some of your entries as blackmail to make you get him extra cans of tuna for the day

- Usually the entries involving your "confusing feelings towards that Hornton guy"

- No matter what clever hiding spot you may put your precious diary in, Grim is sure to find it later that week at the longest.

- Despite him being a little shit and threatening to spill your secrets, he never acts on these threats

- After all, once you threatened to start getting a worse quality kind of tuna, he knew you had more willpower than he did.

- And he knows better than to genuinely piss of his henchman

Random headcanons for my Equestria AU

AJ is white, Fluttershy is Ashkenazi Jewish and Italian, Rarity was born in China and adopted by a French-American couple, Raindow Dash is Greek, Pinkie is African American and has vitiligo, Twilight is second generation Indian, and Sunset is Mexican

The mane seven are all speak at least two languages. Applejack can speak English, conventional in Spanish and knows good amount of Chinese, Fluttershy can speak English and Italian fluently, can read write in Hebrew pretty well and knows a handful of Yiddish words, Dashie knows English and Greek. For some reason Pinkie knows Latin (it’s Pinkie of course it’s language no one really speaks) and English and a good amount of Italian and French. Twilight speaks Hindi, English, and French. Sunset speaks English and Spanish. Rarity is fluent in English, Chinese and French and it conventional in Italian and Spanish.

Also all seven know ASL

Sunset is hard of hearing and wears hearing aids but sometimes she has to turn them off because she’s getting massive migraine. When she’s not wearing her hearing aids her friends sign everything for her

Twilight, Fluttershy, Big Mac, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Maud Pie are autistic, Pinke Pie, Dashie and Scootaloo have ADHD

Applejack and Fluttershy started an Interfaith alliance club (IAC) at CHS and are the co-presidents

Fluttershy is a vegan queen

Rarity was about six years old when her parents adopted her, and when she started school she knew limited English

AJ helped teach Rarity English and they still joke around about this to this day

Rarity and Sweetie Belle are biological sisters. Their parents didn’t know this when they adopted the girls.

AJ is a bit of a glass child, both her siblings are autistic plus Apple Bloom has heart defect

AJ always put others before herself and refuses to ask for help

This annoys everyone at times

The Apples are very religious Christians.

They are not hateful religious, they are love everyone type of religious

The Apples attend an inclusive Church. Granny Smith is the president of the Church board

Granny is super protective of her grandbabies

She is banned from the Senior center for beating up a homophobe during bingo

Pear Butter passed away in childbirth with Apple Bloom and Bright Mac passed away when Apple Bloom was four years old

Apple Bloom was born early and didn’t nearly survive

Apple Bloom spent a lot of her first few years in the hospital but she’s much healthier now

Both Big Mac and AJ spent a lot of time in hospital waiting rooms growing up and came up with little games to get by
