hi my mind is consumed by ares!alhaitham and aphrodite!kaveh so here's my headcanons for those interested:

all the other gods are always underestimating kaveh thinking he's too sensitive and alhaitham's just like no wtf guys. stop. or else I will destroy everything you love forcefully with my giant holy spear

them sneaking off to sit and be in love while important things are happening: "haitham we're supposed to be solving the famine in sparta." "and??"

them also sneaking off away from hephastus and kaveh feeling super bad )): he's so sweet oml but alhaitham doesn't care. kaveh is his grrr >:(

in universe probably disregards the gods until physical solid proof was shown aka apollo physically having to pick her up from the palace she worked at. she hissed and scratched to stay but plopped into camp half blood part time camper bc Sun Wukong does occasionally kidnap her to take her back to the palace. apollo only claimed her bc he realized the famous palace poison tester is his and fucking sprinted to make sure his kid is still alive went like

SPOILER????-Its a toss up on Hecate or Zagreus- She died and reincarnated over hundreds of times (point to Zag) in the original game in the story literally all you do is die as penelope. But Penelope has a shattered soul and a part of that soul was in the modern day and when it dies or something like that she was reincarnated/isekai’d as Penelope because she originally was Penelope well her shattered soul is. On the other hand Penelope is descendent of ancient wizards and possesses ancient magic (Hecate point) BUT THE DYING AND REVIVING IS SO ZAGREUS- MISS MAAM PENELOPE ECKHEART OF THE DUTCHY PLEASE BE SIMPLE IN THIS CATEGORY FOR ONCE probably Zagreus kid, Hecate legacy more that i think about it.

in universe probably didnt believe in gods because she lived a shitty life in the dutchy until one death where she met zag (if we go the zagreus route) or met hecate after discovering her magic (hecate route) if we did go the zag route he’ll make it up to her by spoiling her and calling her jewel, precious, ect. full time camper, the dutchy doesnt know where she is. She would like to keep it that way

I am a Kaveh x Al-Haitham and I have been listening to the Epic Musical alot lately. I keep picturing Al-Haitham as Odysseus going away and put through the trials of not only the Archons but also Celestia while Kaveh is at home taking up Al-Haitham's duties (if Haitham is Grand Sage) trying to prevent various scholars from taking the seat. Kaveh's song Al-Haitham Song Al-haitham meets various archons Venti - Hermas ( or Apollo if we are doing his archon form) Nahida - Athena The Tsaritsa - Aphrodite Murata - Ares Morax / Zhongli - Hephaestus Ei - (Unknown, could be Hera ) thats it so far But the nugget is theree if you wish to run with it

“Choose your last words,” Alhaitham whispers as his lips leave Kaveh’s, “This is the last time.” 

The tears glide down the blonde’s cheeks as if they too were running away from him. As if his eyes were such an abhorred place to be that they were forced to pour down his face like a waterfall, leaving him, just as all things in this world eventually do. 

He averts his gaze to the cobblestone floor before him and sees his bare feet, the painful shoes he had been forced to wear by my mother long abandoned. All the running he had done to get here to see him. It was all a waste. 

“Kaveh,” he whispers, as if the other man’s name were some sort of curse, as if it was now banned from his vocabulary,  “Don’t be like this.” 

Kaveh scoffs, “Do you expect me to just accept this? To accept that the relationship we’ve cultivated over years has now been rendered invalid? All for some random princess you’ve never even met before?”

“Is it by mistake or design?” Kaveh’s voice is now quiet, so quiet that Alhaitham has to concentrate to make out what he is saying over the rustling of the wind, “Are you doing this just to mock me?” 

The tears don’t stop. They come with a force as strong as an infantry, bringing their best cavalry in order to break Kaveh fully. To crush any bit of dignity he has left to show in front of the man he loves. 

He feels the energy come up to his face, the red satin shirt he is wearing feeling increasingly sticky and constricting around his chest. He looks up, basking in the pale moonlight. It feels as though the moon is the only entity left constant in his life.  Its light reflects into his pupils, burning them with its cool rays. At this moment, he thinks no better end for himself than to lay here and stare at the moon, to leave this Earth accompanied by the only thing that has been with him since he arrived. 

Kaveh look into his lover’s eyes once more, finding only a shell of the man he once knew. His grey hair is in disarray, and his usually ever-neat clothing is dishevelled. His pupils dilate as the blonde looks into them, a sign he’d usually see as loving, but now, he can only infer pity. 

“Kiss me hard before you go,” I chuckle, but it comes off more like a maniacal rambling, “You can’t just leave me like this.” 

“I love you.” 

These are the last words Kaveh hears before Alhaitham’s lips are on his, and his arms constrict tightly around him, almost as if he never wanted to let go. He brings his thumb gingerly to the blonde’s face and traces it across the path of his tears, wiping them away as if that would do anything to lessen the pain. 

“I think I’ll miss you forever,” he mutters, “Like the stars in the sun miss the morning sky.” 

“Just go,” Kaveh spits, “Don’t try to drag this out with empty words.” 

Alhaitham looks like he wants to say something, but he stops himself midway and walks off quietly. Kaveh’s thoughts are now left to wander, to forge their own labyrinth of loneliness, with his own sorrow being at the centre instead of a minotaur.
