There was that shitty employer post that went around that was like "document everything meeting/deadline etc in emails so you have a paper trail and they have to disagree in writing so you can hold them accountable for illegal bullshit" etc and after having a godawful appointment where my PCP basically said young people can't be disabled and she never intended to sign paperwork saying I am, I'm tempted to just. Do that.

I'm sick of doctors writing weird notes about me or saying shitty things to me in person and not getting to point out anything back. But I have no idea if this would just absolutely tank the relationship and make my future care for the next 2-4 months a huge pain in the ass or not.

“Not counting family? Keenaire. I have known him the longest of anyone I did not grow up with. We have cohabitated for several years, know each others strengths and weaknesses, and he hasn’t killed me with his cooking or for bringing unpleasant things home so I imagine that is as close as friends can be. Sharing loss probably also doesn’t hurt.” “As for worst enemy... Mm.. does the Ink in general count? While I am no fan of Raven or Thorn and would thwart them at every turn, there is always the chance they were good people once, as much victims as the people they target. Michaux: “I feel like I failed him. Surely there was something I could have done to prevent this. I joined Priarch to look out for him, and what a fine fucking job I’ve done so far. I’m pretty sure this isn’t even the first time he’s been infected, either. Will that make it harder to cleanse him? Gods, I wonder how many other people have been touched by the Void, the Ink, and the Flame. The terrifying trifecta. Trust Idristan to pull that off.”

Not being to help her friends/loved ones, seeing her friends/loved ones in any kind of pain, seeing her friends/loved ones inflict pain of any sort upon themselves despite her massive insistence for them to not be dumbasses...

1: Do that have any long term goals they are working on? How about short term?

Lucas’s long-term goals all focus toward creating life in Eorzea tenable for him. He’s working on getting a paper trail for his skills and his whereabouts (job history), building relationships with people who can make life easier for him, and securing a more stable job when his current contract is finished.

Short-term, he wants to help the expedition he’s currently contracted to achieve its goals in any way he can. He was already committed to the job, but recent events have made the outcome of it personal for him. As he put it to someone recently, he’ll put everything he has to into this venture, including his own blood if necessary.

🤞 - if your character needed to touch someone to check on their physical condition, how would they go about it?

Character Touch / Gestures

Etienne and Adi both would follow fairly standard procedure. (They’ve both been heavily involved with healer/medical RP for years.) Try to verbally confirm consciousness and announce any intent to touch or investigate and wait for consent to touch them if the other person is able to give it, try to investigate the nature in which they might be hurt or injured, try not to move anyone who seems like they’ve been hurt badly. Either of them might try and touch a more neutral body part like a shoulder to get someone’s attention if they think it’s necessary, with the awareness that some people find that frightening/startling and may react poorly.

Adi is a bit more on the brash side and may look over someone’s injury or physical condition even for a patient who’s resisting - same with setting various healing or cleansing spells on those who appear ill. To his mind, his job is “healer” and someone’s objection to him applying needed treatment is a problem for after solving the problem. He’ll be harsher to someone who refuses treatment, where Eti would quietly try and explain their reasons for needing to help, he’s more of the type to say, “Don’t be stupid. You’re hurt. I can help.”

Houmei is not medically trained but has seen injuries out in the field. Being more familiar with situations where you can’t sit in one spot and check someone, he’s likely to gently shake someone and see if they’re able to get up and move to safety. With someone he was close to, he might bump foreheads with them and try to sense their physical response.

0. The Fool - when you first created your character, what did you originally envision for them?

When I first made Lucien the entire intent was he was a two shot villain for someone’s FC story!  He was intended to last about one month, get outted as the dastardly person behind a deadly sabotage event, and then likely killed because they were very anti-loyalist Garlean!

Garnet Shadows: Is your muse apt to stab someone in the back in any way? If so, would they admit to doing so or would they lie to cover it up?

Given his line of work - aside from the mercenary bits-  its a definite possiblity for sure... and no he wouldnt lie about it. With that said he’s has yet to do so toanyone  he knows. Besides if he’d back stab anyone it wouldnt be for personal gain, it would be because of his principles.  Generally as long as he doesnt find out you’ve been taking away the freedom of others or causing them needless suffering then you’ll not need to worry about a knife in your back coming from him.

📬 - A mysterious letter has just been found in their mailbox. How does your character react? Who would it be from?

Well for that sort of thing the poor girl has to break out a dictionary, depending on how big of words are within. There might be more than a little confusion to go with it as well because she very very rarely ever gets anything by moogle post. 

As for who it would be from, that would be most likely someone who is largely a stranger to her. Most likely. Because most of those around her know her lack of reading ability. (Remember her pronouncing during that team exercise of Louvel’s that required it?)

Does your muse enjoy roleplaying in the bedroom?

Sure, it can be fun. He hasn’t had a lot of experience in it, and it’s usually ended up more amusing than anything else but he isn’t against flipping the script and playing pretend. He’s generally more adventurous than most people give him credit for. That said it might be a while before he were the one to suggest anything like role playing. Once he’s well and truly comfortable tho who knows sky’s the limit.
