I just got out of work, and now I get to talk Darkside! Yay!

My favorite case from 1 is a tie between Loch Mess and Baits Motel. The BloodWolves are the scariest bunch of children I’ve ever met, and I’d trust them with my life, even if it ended badly. And Baits Motel because of like. Obviously everything that happens in that one. First case where McQueen says he loves Dooley (yes it’s meant to be taken just as a friendly love you but it is something!).

My favorite case from two is between Class of the Titans and Missing, Presumed Darkside. Those are popular ones, but I can’t say they’re not my favorites. 3rd place though is Tales from the Darkside. I think the Sea Hags will be the villains in the next game (whenever that is)(after the game the devs are currently working on)

Characters, obviously 1 & 2 are McQueen and Dooley. No one I like more in all of Twin Lakes. Now I would say the Bloodwolves are 3rd, but actually that place is held by Buzz and Patricia. I wish they showed up more, and not just in the bonus cases. There’s so much to think about with them. Patrick says he lives with Patricia and Buzz. There is no Mr.Dooley. When looking at the Darkside map, McQueen seems surprised by the fact that that version of Patricia is still with her husband. Dooley and McQueen were likely the closest thing Buzz has to positive male role models. And then Baits motel happens on February 14th. And there’s a full year. No one sets up the tree at Christmas, Patricia needs to work twice as hard to afford rent, McQueen runs himself ragged trying to find Dooley. Buzz is just a kid whose life has been turned upside down. Currently replotting a my Buzz-centric year fic

Least favorite case is a tie between Royal Fumble and Ghost of Christmas Passed. Not for any real reason, we were just supposed to get McQueen lore in that one and then they went with the other option instead. Which. I could’ve seen little McQueen? During Christmas? And seen his home life? And you swapped it out????

And McDooley. Obviously. They’ve been friends since they met in Scouts (Dooley was 2 pixels taller than McQueen in the photo on Dooley’s desktop). They dressed up together for Halloween. A DOOLEY BY COMMON LAW! McQueen basically falls apart, losing the Darkside division because he’s so focused on finding Dooley! AOUGH!!!!!

This fanbase, even as small as it is, is so caring and kind I love the work we do here! I love making art and fake screenshots (Even if I wish we had more fics lol)

If you replay the games, you can finally get that completion screen on one lol. But jokes aside, I adore these games. My friend got me into them last year, even though I got them through Twitch Prime when they first dropped, I was too scared to play them, thinking they were way scarier than they were. And now I’m here, having spent over $300 buying the games for people and promoting it myself. Someday this series will get the fanbase it deserves.

Ok so it's been a few years since I played through the games, but from what I do remember, my favorite case from the first game is the disorient express with the haunted subway. The dialogue and everything about it was hilarious. My favorite line I can remember is also from that case, it's when McQueen is in the bathroom about to plunge the tentacle and he says "When I plunge you, Dave, remember that I plunge you with love.". Honorary mention is Class of The Titans and the Dick Brickman thing.

The only thing close to having a least favorite is the fact that my first case was bugged and I never got to actually get the completion screen because the last step wouldn't work.

Like I think everyone else in the fandom, I believe that Dooley and McQueen are deeply in love and I adore them with my entire soul.

I don't remember enough to give any big analysis atm, but I really wanna replay the game now. I got the first one for free from amazon prime gaming and I was streaming at the time so I just played everything and I was immediately obsessed with it. As soon as I finished I bought the second one and played through that as well. I am 1000% gonna do a live blogging when I play it again.

Are you a tired OFF fan? Look at this.

Up here is attatched a photo of a formula I created myself. This formula allows you, if applied correctly, to win with balloon game in Zone 2 with 100% certainty. Below the cut I will copy-paste the exact text.

(The reason as to why you win when 4 balloons are left is because you must leave the Instructor Elsen with the last balloon in order for them to lose.)

E= the elsen running the game

B= the batter

E3 → B1 → E3 → B1 → E2 → B2 ✅

E1 → B3 → E1 → B3 → E2 → B2 ✅

E3 → B1 → E1 → B3 → E3 → B1 ✅

E3 → B1 → E1 → B3 → E1 → B3 ✅

I’m certain there are more solutions that this, something I will take further note of when I have the time available.

If the it is the Elsen's turn by the time there's five ballons left (aka the outer ring is gone), there is a high likelihood you will win. But it is not certain yet.

There are 13 balloons in total. 13 - 8 = 5

The first four moves made decide your fate in that matter. If the first four moves' numbers equal 8 when added together, that means it will be the Elsen's turn when there are five balloons left. If the final two moves' numbers equal 4 when added together, you will win.
