Hi friend! I think Louis' AOTV was very carefully orchestrated to further the story that Louis wants to tell. One thing that I pointed out after the movie was that Louis' "brand" during 1D was that he was the perfect, long-term boyfriend. And yet if you watched this movie and didn't know anything about Louis, you'd think he'd never dated anyone in his life. His public GFs were entirely...Danielle'd. Freddie is what Louis has left that makes some people say, "He must be straight." Because we live in a heteronormative society, and people think the default setting on sexuality is straight.

I think it's unlikely Charlie Lightening would know the truth about Babygate. Everyone loves Louis, and he's great at seeming to be completely open, but actually being private. I think few people are on the inner circle. Probably Oli and a small handful of others at most. Even Liam, who became his best friend in 1D, seemed to have no idea what Louis had been struggling with. So Charlie likely just sees Louis interacting with a cute kid that he's told is Louis' son, and he gets some good footage. I think as a videographer he was visually pleased with the sunset footage. It looked nice. But it also looked too perfect to be real. And I agree F seems to like Louis just fine but doesn't really treat him as dad. Louis seems to enjoy being around other people's kids, including F. The kid is cute, so why not? Who wouldn't enjoy flying a kite at sunset and running in the sand? But F never really seems entirely comfortable.

I think Louis has come to an acceptance of the situation with F for the moment at least. It's got to be exhausting to have fought so hard at the start and lost....for now.

🙄🙄🙄 no one ever boycotted anything. Give me a break. First of all, everyone loved Miss You. I don’t know anyone who did anything even close to “boycotting” that song.

A lot of people were very upset about Louis’ over the top push of Freddie and Daddy time in AOTV. There was no organized boycott. But people have the right to not want to see something that upsets them, and people have the right to let their money do the talking. Plenty of larries went to see that movie. And of those who didn’t, some may have decided that was the last straw for them, but others still went to his concerts, still stream his music etc. we don’t have to like or spend money on every fucking thing Harry or Louis want to sell us.

Solo Louies are always so fucking butthurt any time someone doesn’t like something Louis does. They act like it automatically means the person hates Louis, only pretends to like him because of Larry, and is only pretending to be a larrie. It’s idiotic.

I'm just saying I told y'all there would be an LA premiere especially when the kid is involved I don't know why anyone is surprised, disappointed I get, surprised I don't. I also didn't think it was ever going to be on a streaming service. Sony owns the rights to the doc they have the final say at the end of the day. did you really think that the same company that has blacklisted Louis from all of uk radio (and probably us radio as well) and has,and continues, to sabotage him would allow a highly anticipated documentary to go on a streaming platform where it has the chance to not only do numbers but get Louis a bigger fan base and make him more successful. I'm not saying don't be mad don't be disappointed don't feel how you feel about this because you're allowed to. all I'm saying is maybe think a little logically of why shit is going down this way

The doc was just wholly unnecessary, but clearly was needed for whatever reason relating to Louis closet.

The one part that baffled and actually upset me was the clip of Louis actually kissing F on the lips.

You can say putting him in the doc was necessary to retain his Louis tm narrative but why kiss a child actor/stranger (emphasis on the CHILD element) on the lips?

For a non close family member to do that, is wrong on so many levels.

Yep, I fully agree. I really have no clue what was in Louis and Louis' team minds when they agreed/pushed this, what kind of goal they thought to achieve, what kind of deal Louis did, but it has honestly no excuse. The docu will stay there forever, for every one to see it all over the years and for Freddie to watch it again and again.

Thanks, love. I don't think this is about code-switching (although I'm sure that's a part of it), but yes, I think he's very good at keeping himself grounded and aware that he's an ordinary person with an extraordinary job. And I'd imagine he's a big part of what keeps Harry that way, too.
