I find it extremely sad that & ironic:
That edel & john wanted a big family but was never able to
And that...
Marie & Teddy didn't want kids but had 6

how is aoife doing? is she getting along with sammi?
Live shot of Aoife rn:
she’s great! She gets love and pets and lots of walks to sniff things on. She loves Sammi to pieces and Sammi doesn’t love her back quite as much, but does tolerate her with mild affection lol.
Sometimes they’ll both hang out with me on my bed at the same time. They coexist peacefully even though Aoife would give her left kidney for Sammi to finally play tug with her 😂

Match Review: Manchester United Women 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur Women
In what was dubbed a dress rehearsal for the Women's FA Cup Final on May 12th, United and Spurs managed to share the spoils - for now - but there were positive signs for United if they can sharpen up on goal.
Stats are a lovely tool to have, adding flavour to any match report and game analysis, and the stats - as shown below - point out two things: United were the side in control, and United should have won the game.
United's backline were instantly put under pressure in the first 30 seconds but United woke up and got a good footing in the game. Ella Toone came accidentally close in the 9th minute, trying to find Leah Galton at back post, but it was Melvine Malard who opened the scoring with a beautiful header off a millimetre perfect free kick from deep by Gemma Evans; lofted with the utmost precision for Malard to nod over the approaching Spurs keeper Becky Spencer.
Tottenham countered quickly with Naz and Vinberg - a sign of things to come - but were held off, and as quickly as they hit United, United hit back. Pressure onto Neville saw Naalsund pick up a loose ball outside the box, quick pass to Malard, pivot, shot, and then in the scramble between Spencer, Parris and Nilden, a free kick was given against United.
Poor positioning cost United for the equaliser, with a deep Spurs cross cleared out only as far as Spence. A scuffed volley bobbled the ball through to Beth England for an easy tap home past an aghast Mary Earps, but it was Maya Le Tissier - fresh from her contract signing - that stood out of sync with the rest of the defence and failed to play the offside trap. Frustrating.
United's second goal conceded was in similarly silly circumstances; Mary Earps screaming at Aoife Mannion to chase the loose ball, Mannion presuming Mearps has it, and Tottenham's Vinberg strolling in to play the ball into the box. Le Tissier covered well, with Mannion filling her void in CB momentarily, but wizardry from striker Jess Naz spun captain Katie Zelem and fizzed in a shot straight above Mary Earps' head. Poor from the keeper, poor from Zel, and poor from nearby Tooney who could have easily pressured Naz from that close range with a sprint to jostle. Maybe she was worried about giving away a penalty, but someone should have closed Naz down and forced her to choose the wider path towards a waiting Gemma Evans or to back off outside the box. A communication issue no doubt, given no Jayde Riviere or Hannah Blundell starting.
Blundell on for Mannion at half time made sense, and the second half saw more intensity and aggression from United; with far more crossing to pressure the Spurs defence in the air now that Blundell was on. 55th minute subs introduced both Lucia Garcia for Nikita Parris and Rach Williams for Melvine Malard, but the United couldn't quite find the net. Further subs in the 76th saw Miyazawa on for Toone and Geyse on for Galton, but it took a Gemma Evans corner in the 91st minute to find Rach Williams, the bar, bounce back out, and be crashed into by Maya Le Tissier to even the game up and give United a very much deserved point at Leigh Sports Village.
There will be frustration at United's failure to convert the oh-so-many chances in the second half, but the turnaround in United's style was a good sight to see, and on another day (say, the FA Cup final?) maybe several goals went in and this was a comfortable win rather than a consolation point. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- The disappointment doesn't end there though. Fans will also be concerned at the potential departure of United's tenacious Spaniard Lucia Garcia, whose contract is close to expiring and - based on Instagram - might not be renewed/extended.
And how we will miss her humour, as well as that unquestionable hard work on the field, if she does leave us. Another huge mistake from Manchester United Football Club if so.
Only three games remain in the WSL; Leicester away, Liverpool away, and Chelsea at Old Trafford - before which comes the FA Cup Final at Wembley. It's going to be a difficult few weeks, but the hottest fires produce the strongest steel...

location : arndale shopping centre, manchester.
featuring : jude & jenny / @vongosh
“nah, this is bullshit… i swear it was here like, last week…” jude says, for the umpteenth time, pacing back and forth, jenny’s hand still locked in his, as he wracks his brain in search of the lingerie store. he’s not dragged her all the way to the arndale centre to go home empty handed — well, not entirely empty handed ; he’ll get her a sausage roll from greggs — but still, he wants to get her something special, show how much he cares. when he was fifteen, he’d saved the money from his paper round for two months to get katie elliott in the year above a nice bra for her birthday ( completely the wrong size, mind, but it’s the thought that counts). it’d feel full circle to take jenny there, passing the lacey baton from his first girlfriend to the one he hopes is his last. not that he plans on getting murdered or owt, just that he wants to have a proper go at this, them, facebook official, doing christmas at his mums, boxing day at hers, names always mentioned together like torvill and fuckin’ dean. maybe one day even kids and shit, or is he getting ahead of himself again ? “ fuck this, i’m calling aoife. ” his hand sinks into the pocket of his trackies, pulling out his phone, screen pressed against his ear as he thrums with nervous energy. “ yooo, whatsup, you know that buff ting underwear place in arndale where kayleigh lost her v-card on that year nine teacher training day ? yeah, that's it ! la senza ! where’s it gone ? s’like the sisterhood of the travelling fucking pants shop over here. ” seconds later, jude’s hanging up the phone, a dejected expression pulling down the corners of his face, features like ice cream beneath a hot september sun. “ apparently they went into liquidation in 2014. ” such a shame. katie'd always looked the absolute tits in their push-up gel bras, not that jenny needs any assistance. “ fuck sake, where are we gonna go now ? you try and do something nice for someone…” releasing her hand, her draws up a google maps search on his phone, spinning in a circle as he attempts to orientate himself. “ right. thirty yards on the left there’s sommat called boux avenue. ” naturally, he says it all wrong, pronounces the ‘x’ like a period at the end of a sentence. “ we’re not goin’ home until we’ve got you something proper stunning that makes you feel reyt good about yourself. ” linking his fingers through jenny’s, he draws her in against his side, a kiss pressed against her hairline as jude tugs her along through the precinct. his body's so close to hers that his feet are rendered clumsy, almost tripping over hers in the process, walking in a straight line rendered impossible. “ and a greggs. can’t have you goin’ back to uncle sam without having sampled the local cuisine. ”
#this was so jarring to write i can't even explain.#i always forget his accent until i start writing him speaking.#i imagine reading this and not being familiar with british dialect is like having a seizure. that's how i feel when im on scottish twitter.#⥂ jude dempsey. ╱ threads.

DESTROY ALL NEIGHBORS - Review
DISTRIBUTOR: Shudder
SYNOPSIS: William Brown is a neurotic, self-absorbed musician determined to finish his prog-rock magnum opus while working as an engineer at a recording studio. He currently faces a creative roadblock, a noisy and grotesque neighbor named Vlad. Finally working up the nerve to confront Vlad to keep it down, William inadvertently decapitates him. But, while attempting to cover up one murder, William’s accidental reign of terror causes victims to pile up and become undead corpses who torment and create more bloody detours on his road to prog-rock Valhalla. In addition, it is causing havoc on his relationship with his girlfriend.
REVIEW: Filmmaker Josh Forbes takes his skills as a director of music videos to serve up an old school horror film with one of the legendary special effects makeup designers, Gabe Bartalos (Basket Case 2/Frankenhooker/Leprechaun). DESTROY ALL NEIGHBORS is a wicked goopy comedy overflowing with practical effects and buckets of blood.
The plot is your basic tale of a stress filled and frustrated aspiring musician who is on his last nerve. A series of events culminates with his new bizarre neighbor moving in and pushing him over the edge. Confronting his neighbor Vlad is the first in a series of unfortunate events that is filled with death and mayhem. There is a quality to the narrative that feels reminiscent of 1985’s “Return of the Living Dead.” The story nicely focuses on William and his spiral out of control. To some degree it feels like a journey to an insane Oz.
The narrative is magically brought to life by a fantastic cast. Jonah Ray Rodrigues’ William is a blend of Joel from “Mystery Science Theater 3000” as he channels a bit of Bruce Campbell. He brings a lot of energy to the performance and seamlessly switches between mental states that showcases a classic mastery of slapstick. Adding his dynamic energy to the film is actor Alex Winter as Vlad. Best known for his role in “The Lost Boys” and the “Bill & Ted” film franchise, the great prosthetic makeup design permits him to create a unique performance. The rest of the cast is an amalgamation of talented actors that deliver unique performances that add to the horror and comedy.
DESTROY ALL NEIGHBORS has a classic look and feel, largely due to the practical effects and special effects makeup. The cinematography, framing, editing and lighting all harken back to the best of the 80’s franchise genre films. There were numerous moments where I found myself nodding my head and uttering “nice” at sequences and gags. Clearly they went through buckets of blood on this shoot. Ryan Kattner & Brett Morris’ score and music for the film nicely adds atmosphere, accentuates the mayhem and gore, and adds this fun take on Wliiam’s musical dreams. FYI, the official motion picture soundtrack will be available digitally worldwide on all digital platforms January 12th, including Spotify, Apple, Amazon, Bandcamp and SubPop.com.
Start 2024 the fright way with an instant genre classic, DESTROY ALL NEIGHBORS. It's a dandy of a gorefest thanks to esteemed special effects artist Gabe Bartalos. Jonah Ray Rodrigues and Alex Winter are among the noteworthy cast members, along with a monstrous score that make this an exceptional viewing experience. The film also makes for a wicked introduction to the bloody era of horror for younger viewers. An excellent reason to subscribe to Shudder this month, among many other reasons.
CAST: Jonah Ray Rodrigues, Alex Winter, Kiran Deol, Christian Calloway, Randee Heller, DeMorge Brown, Jon Daly, Phil Hendrie, Ryan Kattner, and Thomas Lennon.
