I just watched multiple performances from both Queendom and Road to Kingdom and wow. Ok so I’ve only ever seen G-idle’s Fire and  Lion, Park Bom’s Hann and Spring, AOA’s Egotistic, ONF’s Everybody and Pentagon’s Shine & Spring Snow performances. But here’s a full list of the one’s I watched last night:

The Boyz covering Taemin’s Danger (THAT TAEMIN HIMSELF APPROVED OF THAT CALLED POWER HUNTY) Kevin was so sassy and they looked great with those hats and husbandando #3 looked great!

Pentagon covering Block B’s Very Good. It was a trip, the fits, Wooseok’s hot pink hair, the Hecks, the way Kino, Hui and Yuto just had that energy. It was alot, Jinho looked so cute tho, my baby :(

VeriVery covering Mamamoo’s Gogobebe

Tbh, although I loved Queendom and the idea that the lineup was already chosen and they didn’t have to be eliminated and I love all the groups that performed and Park Bom I actually like RTK better. I don’t like the fact that they have to compete with each other and get eliminated just to go on Kingdom itself because Mnet did the boy groups dirty but as far as well everything I think was better. I’m in no way saying that the girls’ performances were not good but they didn’t catch my attention and they didn’t feel as exciting as the boys’. Perhaps it’s because the girls didn’t have to compete against one another for fear of getting eliminated so things were more relaxed. The camera quality for one thing was crazy good and like, the way the boy groups carried their performances, the choreo, the rap and adding this or taking this away from the songs, the costumes, the backup dancers, everything was done so well like I had moments where I was on the edge of my seat, like jaw-dropping I was in awe at the way each boy group performed.

The performances that stood out to me the most were TOO’s Rising Sun cover, OneUs performing Lit, The Boyz’ Danger cover, Golden Child’s T.O.P cover, Verivery’s Gogobebe cover and ONF and Pentagon’s Kill This Love cover. I was worried about Golden Child’s cover cause I didn’t know if they were going to change the words or not, I had a feeling that they most likely would but I was still worried that they might not. But their performance and The Boyz’ Danger performance made me tear up. 

Golden Child’s cover and performance was so gorgeous, the dance was beautifully choreographed and their voices were gorgeous and they looked like swans in those fits. I guess I was moved by how they executed it. 

I teared up and actually almost cried at The Boyz’ performance because I heard that one of the members jumped down or fell down from the table and nobody caught him and first of all that’s very dangerous. If the member got injured from the fall, like if he hurt his neck, shoulders or back, well they probably wouldn’t air the performance but that’s very scary and I guess I was so scared to see it. I didn’t tho, but they did so many scary stunts and things I got so nervous so I guess that’s why I started getting emotional? (This was actually for Checkmate which I have not seen yet.)

With ONF and Pentagon’s performance that was just scary, I didn’t think Kill This Love could have a dark image but they really pulled it off, the dancers were scary too. Like the one lady that was holding one side of a scarf and the other end was wrapped around Hui’s neck and he stopped singing for a moment I thought she pulled too tight and he couldn’t breath and I got really scared like ‘did she cut off his hair supply?’ oh gosh, and the part where I think it’s Kino at the end someone reaches into his shirt and just pulls his body back, that scared the shit out of me. I’m just really praising pentagon and ONF for putting their own twist on Kill This Love and making it so creepy.

I loved that Verivery did an Aladdin themed stage, they’re costumes were so good and the different elements they put in from the movie and their performance told a whole story and the part with them tossing the lamp around, and I really got spooked during Hoyoung’s part cause I actually thought the staff was moving. Dude, and those ladies killed it, they did amazing but it bothered me that their outfits weren’t all the same, they each had a little something different, like one of the ladies her outfit was a different color than the rest of them, more of a green than an aqua color. But I like the black outfits of the backup dancers as opposed to the white outfits that the members were wearing.

OneUs’ Lit performance was glorious. That’s all I have to say as I can’t string sentences together to describe how blown away I even was.

And each performance, you can tell how much each member put into it and they just, I actually just want to cry because these groups are just oozing with talent and stage presence and it’s so wrong for Mnet to just make them compete with one another and portray them as flops like the shit teaser they threw at them and not give them Kingdom but a ‘before Kingdom’ thing and I hate it. And watching TOO and The Boyz performances just makes me want to stan them as I kinda already stan the other groups. Like, I was just completely blown away by how each group really gave each performance their all and more and it’s upsetting to think about how they may have been disappointing after a stage if they feel they didn’t do good and it hurts to think about them beating themselves up for it when they all did absolutely amazing. I heard Shinwon cried at the end of their Basquiat performance because something about his in-ear wasn’t working and he felt he had left his members down. That shit hurts bro. These groups put on amazing performances and they all worked so hard with the choreos and the covers and who covers what and arranging things and they all seemed like they were having so much fun watching each other perform and to know that some of them feel disappointed in themselves like they didn’t do enough hurts. And the backup dancers did so well too.

Fave music: First of all my music taste is all over the place. I mostly listen to pop, I love pop ballads and have a thing for rock. Also I’m a big kpop fan and really love cheerful girl group songs. And of course I listen a lot to Disney songs (especially the Tangled soundtrack lol) and the httyd soundtrack.

My fave artists are Miley Cyrus, James Arthur, Madeline Juno, Little Mix and Demi Lovato. Miley is just such a good and genuine person and her voice oof. My fave songs from her are Wrecking Ball, Drive and She’s Not Him. And on the 30th we will get new music 👀 I’ve liked her and James Arthur for many many years now. James just has this talent to give every song he sings so many emotions, it’s incredible. My fave songs from him are Impossible and Train Wreck (makes me cry every time). Also pls check out his new single Falling like the Stars!!

My fave kpop groups are VIXX, IMFACT, AOA, OH MY GIRL, GUGUDAN, B1A4 and MAMAMOO and I also listen a lot to EXO, 9MUSES, BTS, B.A.P and other random groups. VIXX are just beyond amazing. You won’t find artists like them anywhere. They’re called the concept kings for a reason. I was blessed enough to see IMFACT live and they’re sooo talented!!

Issue: Lost his way. Doesn’t know where to turn. Needs guidance to get him back on path.

Previously assigned angels: Yunaria(unable to guide, removed), Hyejeong.Linus(removed herself, unable to cope), seolhyunari(unable to guide, removed).

WARNING: DO NOT INTERFERE!

Jimin was used to dealing with adults, it was what she was best at. However as adults need more guidance than children she often had to spend more time protecting them. It often made it harder to not interact but she kept to the rules (most of the time anyway). She was prone to letting people know there was something watching over them without directly exposing herself.

Ethan was her current job. He had been her most difficult task. She had tried her best to guide him but he resisted her help, he even ignored her signs to show she was there. She followed him wherever he went but still no luck. He just didn’t want the help. It was almost as if he was blind to the world around him.

“Jiminel.” She heard from behind her; it was the high angel. Jimin bowed in respect.

“His condition is getting worse, if you don’t do something soon we’re afraid he’ll do something to hurt himself. You will be taken off this case if you don’t start making an impact. Do you understand?” The high angel was always condescending. Jimin nodded, she knew this was coming. She didn’t know how to help him, he didn’t want her help or anyone’s help for that matter. Others had tried and failed. If Jimin couldn’t do it, then it would be down to Choa and she already has her hands full. Chanmi and Mina were incapable of dealing with a case like this. This was her last chance. She was his last hope.

He stayed in his home all day, didn’t answer the phone, didn’t eat, didn’t even sleep. He just lied on his sofa staring blankly at the walls.  He really worried Jimin. She reached out to touch his shoulder but as she did he shuddered and moved away from her She wasn’t getting anywhere.

She stared at him, she had never really seen how good looking he was. His thick black hair was pushed back allowing her to see his eyes. They were an emerald green empty and hollow as if he didn’t have anything left in him. He showed no emotion.

He rested his head next to Jimins legs. Some of his hair flopped down onto his face. She wanted to brush it out of the way but she couldn’t. She kept thinking about how many rules she had broken, she had been told if she breaks one more rule they will strip her of her duties and she will be mortal. She couldn’t risk that but maybe he was worth it. She had watched him for so long now, she had begun to fall for him. Maybe she could show herself for a minute; only a minute. ‘No, the high angel would know. She always knows.’

She remembered being briefed about him. He had moved to Seoul from England when he was 20. He needed to escape; escape his family, his friends, his past. Little did he know, moving would make things worse. He tried making friends, he even started dating but no one could lift him out of the hole he was in. His mind had gone to the darkest place it could go and never returned. He isolated himself; stopped seeing his friends and his girlfriend. He lost himself. Ethan had lost his way with the world, he felt he didn’t have a reason to be here. It was as if he had no purpose.

He got to a point where he started filtering things that happened. People would die on the news and he just wouldn’t care. He paid no attention. He had become weathered like a rock in a storm. The trials and tribulations of the world had worn him down, he was giving up.

Jimin studied her surrounded. Dirty dishes had begun piling up by the sink, his dirty clothes had begun forming a mountain by his bed, all his plants had begun to wilt and fall apart. He had no life left in him, nothing left to give the world.

Jimin couldn’t sit around any more, she had tried so hard but it wasn’t enough. She kneeled down by his head and channeled all her energy. Ethan looked up for a brief moment and saw a mist forming in front of him. He reached out, the strange vapour was cold to the touch and swirled around his hand. Sitting up he saw a petite figure form from the mist. The figure looked up at him, her dark eyes were wide and full of sadness. He examined her face for a moment. Her wavy dark hair framed her face and her long fringe almost covered her eyes. Her dainty lips formed a small smile and he couldn’t help but smile back. ‘I haven’t seen him smile in months’ Jimin thought to herself. She gave off an aura of positivity, which made Ethan feel the need to pull her close and never let go. He couldn’t take his eyes off her.

“What are you?” it was almost a whisper.

“I’m your guardian.” She wasn’t sure what else to say. They had never communicated on this level before.

“You are the most beautiful thing i’ve ever seen. Am i dreaming right now?” He was in complete disbelief.

“This is not a dream. It is my job to protect you. I have been unsuccessful and this was the only thing i could do. You were lost and i failed to help you back on track. I thought maybe if i talked to you i could save you.” He could see how desperate she was.

“I don’t need help. I don’t need saving. Go back to wherever you’re from and let me go. Please.” He was begging her, he didn’t want Jimin to waste her time on someone as worthless as him.

“I’ve risked everything for you, don’t you dare think I’m giving up on you now.” She cupped his chin. “Please let me help you.I don’t want to let you go.” She really had fallen in love with him. No matter how worthless he felt, he had begun to mean so much Jimin. If she lost him she might lose herself. “Please.” She begged. Her eyes began to tear up.

“What can you do for me? I can’t be helped.” He couldn’t understand how she could help.

“You just need to be pushed in the right direction. I’ve tried to help but you ignored it every time. You need to feel like you are wanted and your friends and family didn’t treat you that way. But i want you, I can make you feel loved and needed.” Tears were falling down Ethans face, he couldn’t control them. Jimin wiped them away and pulled him close to her. “I promise to look after you, I won’t let you go.” She squeezed him tightly and felt relieved he had trusted her. His tears were soaking into Jimins shirt and his whole body was shaking.

Suddenly Jimin felt a pain in her chest; it was the high angel.

“Ethan i need to go, but i’ll be back soon. Okay?” reluctantly, she let him go. He was hesitant to let go of her too, he was afraid she wouldn’t come back.

“I promise I’ll return soon. Don’t worry.” She gave a weak smile, she was not looking forward to her meeting.

The large oak doors leading to the high angels office felt out of place to Jimin, in this world of pure nothingness. She breathed a heavy sigh before banging on the door.

“Come in.” The short sentence conveyed so much disappointment. Jimin pushed the door open and stepped inside.

She looked around the office knowing full well it would be her last time. She had witnessed many angels walk in and walk out without their wings. The office was lined with bookshelves from top to bottom of the walls. Filled with books from angel law to angels in religious texts to fairy tales. The high angels desk was positioned in the middle of the room, looking straight at the entrance doors. Jimin walked over cautiously to the chair in front of the desk; not looking up from the ground for even a second. She stayed silent and twiddled with her thumbs until she was spoken to.

“You were one of the best.” She could hear the pain in the high angels voice. “Look at me when I’m talking to you.” Jimin swallowed hard and looked up.”You’ve failed me Jiminel and for that you are stripped of your guardian duty.” a stern frown spread across the high angels pale face.

“So I’m mortal again?” the high angel nodded. Jimin looked down again, she had been holding back her tears for far too long. She was afraid to go through life again, it caused pain for her last time. This time she had Ethan, she would not be alone. She just hoped he would always need her.

“I’m sorry Jiminel, but if you just stuck to the rules this wouldn’t have happened. You are dismissed and can never return.” Jimin stood up from her seat and moved towards the door. She hesitated before pushing the door open.

“If i hadn’t have interfered he would’ve died. You and I both know that. I’m not sorry for doing what I did.” and with that she left.

She knew in her heart she had done what was right. Sometimes the rules can’t be followed and Jimin was glad she broke them. 

Ethan needed her and she needed Ethan.

bigThank yoouuu, dear @giraffyness for tagging me!!! ♥ I’m not going to do the songs in order though, because I love all of them very much and ugh, I don’t want to choose which one I like the most.

1. SS301 "Pain”

I l o v e that song so much. I fell for it the moment I heard the the first cords (?) and I’ve listened to it a lot last year, but I never got tired of it, which is miraculous, because I always grow tired of songs when I listen to them too often.

2. Davichi “Beside Me”

These girls’ voices are so damn pretty and I’ve probably watched every performance they had and had my mind blown every single time. And their stages are so beautiful and everything is wonderful and I just love this song.

3. AOA “Crazy Boy”

I’ve been a little fangirl of AOA’s music since “Heart Attack” (that song was great and I’m still delighted every time it starts playing on my playlist) and I wasn’t disappointed with “Good Luck” (great song, really), but “Crazy Boy” swept me off my feet. It’s my (not so) official summer song of 2016.

4. BTS “Blood Sweat & Tears”

I don’t know if that counts, because I’ve only recently (read: a few days ago) discovered this song (and I still haven’t watched the MV, ehmm, yeah), but I fell so hard. It is so pretty and I love the music, even though I’m normally not that big a fan of BTS’ music. Which is why I was pleasantly surprised that I liked this so much. 

5. Jonghyun “White T-Shirt”

YOU’RE SO ROCK ‘N’ ROLL. This song is my jam. Considering that I only listened to that album because a friend wanted to know my opinion about it .... Imagine I would’ve missed out on the awesomeness that is this song. I don’t even want to think about it.

6. Heechul & Min Kyunghoon “Sweet Dream”

I can remember how excited and nervous I was before that song came out because I had so many expectations and was afraid they wouldn’t be met; but then this wonderful collaboration happened and all my worries were swept away. The song was great and the MV brought me so much joy. Just thinking about it makes me feel all fluffy and happy.

7. Black Pink “Playing With Fire”

When Black Pink debuted they were often compared with 2NE1, and since I never really was a fan of 2NE1′s music, I didn’t care less about that group. But this song (also “Boombayah” and “Whistle” - both great songs) ended up being on my phone (a friend sent it in a group chat) and I listened to it, when it came on my playlist and I liked it. And I still like it. It’s one of my most played songs, still.

8. MAMAMOO “Décalcomanie”

I’m not that much of a fan of Mamamoo’s music, but this one kinda caught me off guard. I don’t know why I chose this one from all of their discography to fall for, since it’s just as “Mamamoo” as their other songs, but it got to me. And it makes me feel good :’)

9. NCT U “Without You”

Remember when I had promised myself not to fall for a baby group and because I knew that NCT would only break my heart, because they’re likely to suffer since SM is a shithole of an entertainment? But then this song happened and the rest was history. I love this song and I love this group of smol, little babies.

10. Taemin “Mystery Lover”

I can’t put my finger on it, but this song sounds sooo familiar, I don’t know how. Maybe it was the soundtrack of one of my dreams? Who knows. It’s like having a déjà vu with a song. A déjà écouté. Anyway, I like how dreamy and slightly seductive this song is. It makes me think of a soft horror movie.

Whew, that was way too hard. There were so many good songs last year, and I feel bad for having to leave out so many of them (also I can’t get rid of the feeling that I forgot The Ultimate Favourite Song, but well). Also I ignored all Kdrama OSTs that were released 2016, because then I would’ve struggled endlessly.
