Summary:

It's been six years since Ellie and Dina last saw each other. They reconnect as they remember their close childhood friendship and get to know each other again as adults.

Ellie is out of the military and still adjusting to life back in Jackson. She and Abby, who served with her, work on the Miller family cattle ranch. Dina has just moved back to the small town and is eager to reconnect with old friends.

Ellie harbors secrets from family and friends as she struggles with addiction and trauma from combat. Dina struggles with her own trauma and how to navigate a possible relationship with Ellie.
